Went here last night for the Murder Mystery dinner. For $50/person you got a salad, entree (choice of chicken parm, eggplant parm, or flounder), dessert, we'd coffee. It was an awesome night. It was my anniversary and I made note of that when ordering the tickets online, and the cast came out with a cake, and sang happy anniversary to us lol. It was so nice. The drinks were separate, which wasn't a huge deal. They were a bit pricey for the drinks though, but hey, it's a nice night out so it happens. The food was good. Not the best chicken parm ever but it was very good and came with pasta. Overall, I enjoyed it VERY much. The cast was great and improvised a lot since there weren't many people in attendance and some of the cast wasn't even there because of the bad weather. But in my opinion, it made it more interactive and intimate. I will def go back.

First time EVER I was served poorly by the staff with poor quality food. At a funeral luncheon this week I chose crab cakes, a meal that I have had there 50 times before. The crab cakes were so heavily coated and deeply fried, you could not taste the crab. I couldn't finish 1/4 of the portion. The staff certainly didn't care to ask why as it was the worst "production meal" i was ever served. We were going to buy a large gift certificate as we do every year to celebrate 3 generations of fathers this Sunday. But for the first time in years, it will not be at Fishers. So many others at the luncheon felt the same way! Jerry Becker Gpbinv@gmail.com

So I returned to Fishers over this past weekend for a wedding, and am pleased to report that things are on the upswing. The bar has been cleaned and with the new inside smoking ban no longer smells like old ashtray. The bartender was polite and had a haircut from this century, and the clientele at the bar, although mainly 55+, were pleasant and chatty. The wedding areas and banquet halls were as advertised garish, but heck, if you can't gaudy it up for a wedding when can you? The staff has definitely been cut back, with the older woman behind the reception desk in charge of room setups for the wedding. A sad tale indeed there. As for the food. The rehearsal dinner brought a tired and wilted salad, house italian and thousand island reminiscent of the stuff they served in high school. Too few pitchers of water on the tables left the majority of the group (including the bride) parched. Stuffed capon was nice, but industrial in its taste and texture, and the rice stuffing as bland as the accompanying vegetables. I left both on my plate. Why the two star bump? First, the TVs had been removed from the dining area, a huge improvement. Second, the food at the reception. Hor D'Oerves were delicious. Plump scallops wrapped in bacon were a wonderful change from the dried up knots of scallop jerky most places serve. Vegetarian offerings, such as red pepper, fresh mozzarella, and portobello skewers were a yummy treat, and the speed in which they disappeared showed the crowd was enjoying them as much as I was. I was encouraged enough to consider going back one night for a regular dinner there sometime soon, and perhaps you should try it again too. Let me know what you think!

It's been a long time since I've been here, but, wife and I decided to try it for dinner on a Saturday night. This place holds some special significance to us as I proposed here 30+ years ago. We arrived around 6:30 and were the only guests in the restaurant (red flag?). We were seated quickly. The restaurant was clean, but the decor was tired. Chairs on rolling casters, fake plant room dividers... Wife ordered the clam chowder and loved it, while I started out with a very nice garden salad; very fresh, tasty veggies. Everything was ala carte. Our meals, were in the low to mid $20 range just for the entrees. I ordered the flounder oscar while wife chose the broiled scallops. Scallops seemed good, nicely cooked, not overdone or rubbery. Came with "chef's choice" roasted potatoes which were a little dry. The flounder was ok, while broiled, had a somewhat soggy breading on it. Came with asparagus, heavy grill flavor and the same dry roasted potatoes. Because I tend to eat one thing at a time, it took me a while to get to the crab that topped the flounder. The sauced crab was so salty, it was virtually inedible. Because I had eaten a lot on my plate already, though, I didn't feel it was right to send it back. I'm assuming she was a manager, Patricia, came to our table and asked if everything was to our liking. I did compliment some of the food, but commented on how salty the crab was. She asked if I would like something else, but because wife was 2/3 done with her meal, I declined a replacement. There was no offer to adjust my bill, which would have probably been the right thing to do. A little while later, Patricia came back to our table and gave me her business card. She said "next time you're coming in, call ahead or ask for her when we get here and she'll take care of us". While I appreciate the gesture, I really felt something should have been done immediately that night. A token gesture, like the offer of a free dessert, or something, would have made me feel like my business was appreciated. I left her business card on the table as it's unlikely I would go back for what seemed like overpriced, meh quailty meal. In regards to the service, our waitress was adequate, friendly, but could have been a bit more attentive. There certainly wasn't too many other patrons taking up her time. Too bad this experience was so mediocre. Oh well...

NOT RATING FOOD - noticed on the website in several locations that their brunch was only $12.99, which seemed like an awesome price. Looked at the menu, and saw that $12.99 price two other places. Went to order tickets, and noticed that the $12.99 price only apply to children. Adults were in fact $32.99. I felt that this was very misleading, so I made a post on their Facebook page, which they deleted. I then commented on a photo advertising their brunch, and they accused me of intentionally misinterpreting the information. I personally feel that both the marketing of advertising a much lower price than it actually is, as well as the disrespectful and unprofessional backlash I received when I commented on that misrepresentation was deserving of a low rating. It's unfortunate - I was here for a Christmas party two years ago, and the food was very good. After this exchange, though, I would not go back.

I don't want to bash the heck out of this place with my review and frankly this place is not worth the time it takes. Let me just say this; I WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE AGAIN!!! IT WAS HORRIBLE

I think if you read about this place before going, you'd realize that it is meant for large parties, weddings, dinner meetings, etc. I would not recommend coming here for a nice casual dinner because it would give you too much opportunity to tear in to the places out-dated feel, decor, and staff. Instead, go with a large group, order the basics that can't be messed up, and enjoy a place big enough to house you all comfortably! I come here with an alumni group each year and the reason we keep coming back is that it's dependable; has adequate, free, and easy-to-get-to parking; and can fit us all at its bar and dining room. They also provide the cake and cheese tray for us for a small fee. It's not cheap, nor is it expensive. We get prime rib and chicken Oscar as entrée choices and get good feedback on the food. Personally, I think it's okay as well, although I've never tried the prime rib. Again, this place isn't fancy, but it is functional for large groups. The wait staff are generally friendly, as are the bartenders. "Treat others as you would like to be treated" type of folks from what I could tell- can't really fault them for that...

I went here twice for dinner and it was not crowded at all. I think it is mostly for weddings. It's a bit dark in there. I don't think I would have my wedding there. The service was just fair. The food on the other hand was very good and well priced. We were very surprised how much food we got for our money. If the restaraunt was not so dark and the service would be better, I would definately rate it higher.

If you plan on having dinner here, consider your other options--the staff was generally rude and cold, the food is comparable to that of a sub-par diner, decor is completely outdated, and the service was hardly worthy of praise. I came here in a party of 6 on Valentine's day after reading positive reviews about the service, food, and atmosphere. My party was 5 minutes late, and we had called the restaurant prior to arriving to inform them that the party was only going to be 5 minutes late and to please hold the table. The 'host' coldly responded that even if we were 1 minute late, that they could not hold the table, unlike most restaurants which give you a 5-15 minute grace period. Upon arrival, the restaurant atmosphere was dull and somewhat scary. The interior did not look like it had been updated since the lates '70s or '80s and it was decorated with cheap Hallmark paper decorations for Valentine's day. When my party walked up to the hostesses stand, I was given the same cold response, however a party of 2 who arrived right after us were promptly seated while I was told by the same host, "Sorry, I can't help you. You'll have to wait to talk to someone else." The next host completely ignored our party as well and it wasn't until the manager arrived that we were told it would be a short 15 minute wait. As we waited by the bar, the dining room was nearly empty with only about 4 parties seated. We ended up waiting 50 minutes before our party was finally called for. The food was the worst experience of the evening--our clams casino came out completely burnt to a crisp, the angus filets were mostly fat and nowhere near marinated or flavorful (you would be better off grilling unmarinated steak from your local supermarket), and the broiled stuffed lobster tail came out raw: with only the stuffing cooked, however the lobster was completely uncooked. As far as service goes, the waitress was friendly and nice, but impossible to find when drink orders were forgotten or burnt clams casino and raw lobster needed sending back. Overall, if you plan on having dinner here, brace yourself. Our party had a miserable time at dinner after the rude attitudes, near an hour wait, and the tasteless food. Safe to say, it wasn't worth the $300+ we spent.

The place is huge so you can basically always get a table here no matter what night it is. The food is good, I've never had a bad meal but I've never had anything so good that I left talking about having to go back for more. Their prices basically reflect the food, an average meal at an average price, it's what keeps us coming back.

I went to a wedding here recently, and it was nice. The decor is light blue walls, white trim, and lots of crystal and Roman-esque statues everywhere. It was sorty of gaudy-tacky chic, I suppose. Like it was nice, but too much "nice" so that it was overwhelming. But that's fine. Maybe people want over-the-top for their weddings. The booze at the open bar was a bit heart-burn inducing, but the bartenders were really nice, so that made it worthwhile. And the food was pretty good - my prime rib was satisfying. The room we were in was spacious, the bathrooms were nice (comfy, clean, and complete with stuff a gal might need in a pinch like hairspray, etc.), and the DJ, while he played old cheesy songs, was fun. I had a good time.

the pasta with crabmeat and clams was horrible. Broken pieces of clam shells throuhout, very dry. the waitress took it back to kitchen to get it fixed to pack it up. they made it even worse . the cook who made that dish should be fired. Disgusting, It went in the trash.

This is a very large building, housing a large restaurant, a bar & lounge, a ball room, banquet rooms and a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. The food on the menu is fairly vast, but pretty well old school. The restaurant has been around for 50 years and is family owned. The menu is diversified, but it is classified as a seafood restaurant and that is what rules their menu. Parking is made easy, as they have their own parking "garage" under the building. Easy to see when driving on Street Road. It is in Tudor style, inside and out.

Came here, considering it as a reception venue for our wedding. As a restaurant, this place is massive. That being said, we were underwhelmed by the food and service, but the ambiance was actually a bit nicer than we expected. The service was completely average (about 15 minutes between times when the waiter approached our table) so I guess I can't complain about that, but it's also nothing to rave about.
