Last weekend my family and I decided to stop by Club House for a quick lunch. The last time I had stopped in club house was years ago for breakfast and it was great. This time I must say I wasn't at all pleased. The food has definetly dropped at this place. My wife and kids ordered breakfast, and I had decided to to go with a Rueben Pastrami with a french onion soup. My soup came out very quick, I'm guessing it was microwaved, and it was ok....at best. The entire crock was covered in cheese. Why? There was more cheese stuck to the side of my crock then there was in my soup. I'm not going to eat off the side of a bowl that it's obvious the cook or somebody handled more than likely without some gloves. The flavor was somewhat there but it could have been better. The rest of our food came out shortly after. Although my family didn't have much negative to say about their meals the overall look from the food wasn't too appetizing. The bacon and sausages looked as if they were microwaved right after my soup. The eggs seemed somewhat decent. Now my Rueben came out and it looked like a mess on the plate. I couldn't tell where to actually start because it was just a huge moutain of slaw and pastrami. The only flavor I tasted was the Russian dressing they use which that in itself was bland. The sandwich had a weird taste entirely. Slaw had no flavor, Pastrami was close to not existent and the cheese was just plain bad. I was not happy at all. Definetly a place I won't be going back to. I'm saying 2 stars tops for this place. Maybe 1 1/2 would be a better rating. My wife and kids enjoyed their food for the most part and our waitress was kind. Thats about the only positive feedback I can think of.

I went there on the night of 2/23/2015 around 9pm a night. The place was not very clean and the salad bar some of the stuff on it was dried up like the pasta salad and stuff , the way it looks when it sits. i have not been here in about 10 years and it was always good back then, i used to go there and get spaghetti and clams believe it or not and it was VERY good, HOWEVER, Times have changed and i guess staff and ownership and quality standards have changed also. The matza ball soup was like dishwater with a clump of bread in it. and i have a picture of the pasta and clams in white sauce that i ordered that was so bad i wouldnt feed that crap to my dogs. The table next to me was a group of loud kids, which i dont mind, but the constant fbomb being dropped at a loud tone should have been addressed by management. needless to say i gave it one star cause i cant give it zero. i will never go here again. The pasta was over cooked with a can of clams not even heated up just dumped on the bowl and watered down, HORRIBLE

Everytime I visit here I do not recall ever having a bad meal here, the salad bar is quite impressive and stocked regularly. The main courses are always large and the sides are plentiful. Deserts are just mouth watering, you can tell the staff and management care about this location, it's never been dirty and is always bright. It can be busy but that is a sign of a good place to eat and what more can you ask for ?

Food is so-so, service is lack luster and definitely expensive. The waiter was far more interested in basketball than waiting on us and kept trying up sell and brought another cup of coffee when I said no thanks you never offered to refill the waters though. The water tasted salty, the coffee tasted salty. Salad was supposed to be mixed greens and like a previous review said - mostly throw away core lettuce with a few pieces of chopped Romaine. It was worth a try, but not worth a return.

To be fair, due to schedule conflicts, we haven't been here in a while. Classic "American Diner", with the standard upgrades. Eat at the counter, booths, or tables in the dining room. Good coffee, loads of it. After a lifetime in EMS, a diner's coffee and bacon tell me what I need to know. Both are excellent. Dinners, there is a salad bar. Soup, etc. Wait Staff at breakfast have always been GREAT people, friendly, once you're a "Regular", you're family. If you're looking for a Hipster, Gourmet or Foodie vibe, keep going. If you visited a diner as a kid, loved the whole "Feel" of it, you're in. Even the other regulars are a load of fun. The baker is talented as Hell, selection of cakes and pies varies a bit, but he does it all.

It's not often that I review a place that I'm actually still sitting in. It's tacky and unpeofessional, but this has got to be some of the worst customer service and one of the worst experiences of my life. I'm curious why I haven't left yet. It could be because I'm tired of fast-food during my morning commute... or the fact that I'm still trying to figure out if the hostess is the owner, or running a low key massage parlor. She's absolutely great and attentive, but seems like she's gonna rip her dress off and strip any moment. Don't get me wrong she looks amazing, but just a bit too amazingly dressed for a diner. Let's get to the entertainment... Flat screen TV'S that aren't turned on. Game machines at each table that use quarters. Really? I'm lucky to have cash on me these days, and you want me to play with quarters? My waiter. Waiting is clearly not something he likes doing. Getting my drink order alone, seemed like the 7 second interaction was taking too long for him, as he was already walking away. I had to tell him I was ready to order because he seemed more like a delivery driver with Christmas deliveries to make, rather than take my order. Let alone deliver it. Don't even bother using the restrooms, although having payphones in their hallway is a pretty neat sight these days. Once you open the door it smells like you opened a bag of recently pealed hard boiled eggs that have been sitting for a couple days in the fridge. Just washing my hands seemed like an eternity in there. But the restrooms were clean and kept. Also a rarity these days. Food presentation is decent for what I ordered. Dropped off again by an arm and a "here ya go!" Before I could look up to thank him, he was gone already. My home fries were so thin and saturated in oil that it turned into a weird combination of mashed potatoes and crunchy potatoes. Never really experienced that kind of... mush? Extremely dissatisfying. Especially for the $3 you pay for then as a side. Here's the part you probably weren't expecting...y breakfast burrito was actually worth the hassle of unsatisfactory service and feel. Unlike most places that include the inner ingredients tossed around in some weird fashion and making you get different bites and different textures throughout, my burrito was darn near perfect. The egg, bacon, onion, chicken and cheese were cooked pretty perfectly and mixed even better. Every bite had onion, egg, cheese, chicken and bacon. Can you believe it? The green onions on top were very American and not something I prefer, to be honest. Not the extra bit of taste this thing needs. Only thing that would've made it better would have been a nice homemade green salsa! But I guess not everywhere can be as great as Southern California for burritos. Like an annoying coworker, around came the "waiter" who assumed I was done and expressed it with a tone as if I should've finished it. Then offered to refill my coffer, which is an interesting gesture since I hadn't seen him since he dropped the food of 15 minutes before. Overall, expensive food. Vast menu. Very lackluster sides. Weird ambience. Horrible waiting service (with the exception of the lady serving the counter and the eye stealing hostess). Worth a try to say you've been. Had it not been for me being up here in Bensalem on business, I'd never have stopped or heard about them and probably would've have done just fine.

It's crazy to drive past a place so often and never go there. My cousin and I stopped in on a whim for something quick after our other plans didn't work out. It's a diner. I see that it gets some pretty crappy reviews. The only thing we ordered was the salad bar. It was okay. I kind of wish there were more vegetables for a "real" salad instead of numerous variations of pasta salads. It wasn't bad though. Almost 9 bucks seems kind of steep though for what is offered. The place was practically empty. It kind of felt like I walked into a diner in the 90's (for any of you Bensalem kids that remember the Beehive; that's what it reminds me of), I'm never anywhere for the decor-- save it for the hipsters. Our waitress was super sweet. We left her a decent tip because I imagine making money in that place is a struggle!

Back again for another visit. Can feel myself aging while waiting for our meal. Quality of food is diving.

Came here for a 1 AM dinner....totally sober....legitimately hungry. Walking into the place you are greeted with a fabulous array of desserts and cakes that lead you to think this was a wise decision at 1 AM. Sadly, once reviewing the menu, there is a lack of creativity and just very regular items. I ordered a chicken, mozzarella, roasted pepper sandwich. The presentation was pretty nice, the crust of my fancy seeded bread looked really appealing. The fries looked like they were old and refried and the then set out for a few hours before being served to me. The sandwich itself was good, but needed some umpf! I wanted some aioli sauce or fancy mustard, SOMETHING! My beau ordered breakfast, a very regular scrambled egg and the homefries were pretty bad....maybe the cook has something against potatoes? Overall our waitress was running around a lot, although there weren't many customers there. She didn't check in on us and we had to wait an eternity for our check. I should've stuck to Chickie Pete's, they love a good potato there!

The lady at the front desk was very rude and had a attitude. It was on our second time coming there because we actually liked the food. She was clearly in a mood and it seemed like she was having a mini issue with a waitress. When we were to check out my husband asked me if I had change so I looked in my pocketbook for literally 10 seconds and she huffed and said next to the next person in line.We will not be back because of her attitude. It's horrible to have someone like that up in the front. Maybe she is the owner but if she is not move her out because she is losing you business. By the way if you work in the restaurant or go there I am talking about the lady that wears skin tight clubbing dresses at like 9am in the morning. Your not Beyonce or a Kardashian lady... lose the attitude.

Went here for dinner with family. Not a big fan of the salad bar. It could use more salad items, and less things like pasta salad and egg salad or tuna salad. The chicken that I ordered was delicious, however, and it was more than enough for one meal. I took half of the portion home and ate it for lunch the following day. Not living around the area, I'm not sure if I will go back any time soon, but it was definitely worth going to for dinner.

Stopped here late to get a bite to eat after working 16 hours. I wasn't expecting their menu to offer so many options. I ordered the prime rib with baked potato and veggies along w a cup of the Italian wedding soup. All the food was just superb! This place isn't your average diner that only features patty melts and club sandwiches. Not to mention the desserts! I had to get a slice of cannoli cake and I was not disappointed. If I ever have to travel to Bensalem again I will make sure I plan a stop at this gem!
(5)Ryan L.
This place sucked. Between the cheap, disgusting food ( which was verrrry overpriced), the airhead of a waitress who was as high as a kite, the bus boys who were throwing ice and water at each other ( some of which hit my girlfriend) this was without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. And I'm writing this review from my toilet because of what the food did to my stomach!
(1)LA Girl D.
I have been here many times and the food and service is good. I am writing this review because I recently bought a birthday cake, the Canoli Cake, which is good. The reason I am giving this a two star is because for $30, they did not fill in the canolis. They filled in the ends to look like they were filled. The middles were all hallow! I think that was poor taste so I will not buy another cake here. Two stars because they have a good salad bar.
(2)Les L.
So you will see 100+ post saying how it has gone down hill... Well it has gone downhill but it still is not a bad diner. They have in the last 3 year switch things up some things have been really bad others are o.k. at one point they ditch the whole menu and then bought the old one back, Will the club house ever be as good as it was back in the day no but it not bad. If I was going to compare this to the old menu and ownership then ya 2 stars best but when comparing it to other diners and restaurants in this price range it is a good 4 stars.
(4)Joey T.
8 or 9 years ago I use to go to the club house at least 2 days a week. The food was awesome for a diner. Then the owners decided to sell and what's left...memories of good food. I talked with servers after the sale they tried to deny the changing of food vendors but after eating there for 20 years there was no denying the obvious. I will never go back to the club house and that makes me sad. This was once my go to spot for an awesome meal at a decent price.

I'm only giving this 2 stars becuase the coffee was good. The front end hostess looks like a cross between a fat Elvira and Cruella Deville. This was the first indication if trouble. The second was the fact that this place was almost empty at 9am. One of us ordered creme chipped beef on toast. When it came out it was dry and cold in the middle as if it's been microwaved. Sent it back for a fresh S.O.S. "The worst S.O.S. I've ever had." The french toast is decent. Not good, not bad, just dencent. Now for some positives. The service was good. I do like that they kept the decor pretty much the same from the late 70s. However, may be a little off putting to other people. I hope this place improves.
(2)Melissa W.
Just had brunch here. Food was ok - standard diner fare. Huge portions. Ridiculously bad service, seemingly because of the management. We'll never go back.

What garbage. An absolute disappointment. Aside from a nice interior, no reason to ever visit again. Stopped here 3 weeks ago because I was in the mood for diner food. Should say good to great diner food, but this is not the place to come for that. I ordered chicken croquettes. While waiting for them I got my old, gray coffee. Went up to the salad bar and at first was confused at what I was looking at, then disappointed. Salad bars should have stuff for salads, not beets, weird green things, macaroni salad, peppers, and who knows what else. Went back to my seat and soup had the flavor of a sweaty sock. So now I'm getting aggravated because I know croquettes are going to disappoint too. And sure enough, I was introduced to the most dry, crumbling, flavorless, bland chicken croquettes I have ever eaten. And trust me, I have tried many. Covered in canned run of the mill generic gravy with extra salt. But hey, let's not leave the salty, instant mashed potatoes out of this review. Disgusting. How these diners that have no passion , no uniqueness, no drive to stand out keep the lights on is beyond me. Won't be doing anything but driving by this place from now on. Won't even wave as I go by.

I took my Lil girl here for dinner and our food was horrible! My daughter ordered serlion steak and she got smashed fried gound beef!! My daughter is 9 yrs old and she knows what is serlion steak looks like. I ordered meatloaf but it tasted bad.It wasn't ground beef, it looks like imitation meatloaf. Never coming back here again. I was very disappointed.

Ate here good food

What an awful place. There is dirt everywhere, salad bar is not maintained, and half of the items on the bar/menu are practically inedible. The breakfast here has to be some of the worst I've had; one time I ordered homefries well done and they came out dry and mushy. The dinners themselves aren't exactly the worst, but they leave much to be desired. I guess you get what you pay for here. With so many other diners on Street Road, this is one definitely to be bypassed.
(1)Jonathan H.
Above average ambiance, service, and food. Nice touches make this better then the average diner if you're in the neighborhood, though not necessarily worth seeking out.
(4)Susan D.
I have been going to this diner for years. The food Got better now that they have a new chef. It's nice going to a place where the people are friendly and the servers are very good.

worst eggs i ever had in my whole ife of living. please avoid at all cost. The place has no heat on

I have been coming to this Diner for over 30 years from when I was a child with my parents. Sounds funny but I love their coffee... I will not be returning to the CLUB HOUSE DINER anymore. This review is after numerous poor dining experiences. It's below average and there are to many diners very close by to ever stop here again. ¥¥¥. THE FOOD IS POORLY MADE WITHOUT SEASONING ¥¥¥¥¥ ¥¥¥. HALF OF THE WAITSTAFF LOOK& WORK LIKE THEY ARE ADDICTED TO PERCOCETS ¥¥¥ ¥¥¥. THE HOSTESS YOU CANT MISS HER ; AND WILL SEAT HER FRIENDS IN FRONT OF YOU IF YOU DONT PAY ATTENTION ¥¥¥ ¥¥¥. NUMEROUS TIMES WE HAD FILTHY PLATES,MUGS ETC...¥¥¥ In short, I will not be returning and would highly suggest you drive up the street and save your frustrations... What a shame they had great coffee but Nasty mug with lipstick on it again, I'm out!!!
(1)Alan A.
We ordered a salad with mixed greens except it came with head lettuce. There was no coconut or walnuts in the salad as stated on the menu. altho there was a lot of fruit, there was a huge amount of juice in the bottom of the salad. We also ordered eggs and has browns. The eggs were fine but the hash browns were mushy. First and last time here. The water was fine!
(1)Mike H.
We have a business meeting every Friday morning here. Can;t beat the specials. Love the waffles or omelets. Great hostess, great servers. Been there for every meal, but they definitely excel at breakfast.
(4)Michael M.
$13 for a wrap!? That's some ignorant bitch shit. Seriously though, I don't recommend this place because every time I call in an order, they never even start making it until I get there and then they lie about why it took them 20 minutes to make a wrap. If you are in the area, eat at the great American pub.
(1)Tim G.
I think the Club House Diner is under new management again. The service was friendly and the food was good (for a diner). The problem came when we had to wait over 20 minutes to get our food after ordering. When we asked about the time it was taking, the waitress informed us of some problems in the kitchen. I would have liked for them to have told me this before having to ask. But overall, the food was good. If I am in the area again, I might be back.

I always look for the silver lining in a place so we'll Start there. Good location and open 24 hours. That's about it... Went in at 11 PM and it was dark, dank and had an air of desperation. You know...that "please come eat here" vibe. The salad bar was loaded with mayonaisse items that looked like they had been out all day. The desserts looked delish...but like they were cooked then fridged then put out again....for the fourth time. No thanks. Nice big menu but we had a waitress that was trying very had to get it right but was struggling so much. We all have those days. Don't worry about it lady....we've all been there. Now can I have hot water for my tea and can you bring some coffee with some heat for my friend? Both are cold. Um....Can you wipe the table? If every table is empty in here, how did you manage to sit us at the one table that was dirty? The food was plentiful but made both of us sick after 10 minutes. And I only had a grilled cheese w/ bacon. How do you mess that up? Oh yeah...bacon. Should have took my cue from the salad bar and thawed out desserts. Nothing is fresh after 10. Totally my fault for going late. Totally their fault for being terrible.

I stopped by the Club House with my girlfriend around 8:45pm on a Wednesday night. Obviously it was packed because it was the 50% off night. We were sat right away which was nice. Both of us were in the mood for breakfast and we both ordered omelets. They came out in less than 10mins and they were HUGE! I had the farmer's omelet and it was above average for a diner. The food here isn't a foodies dream but for a diner I give it an above average rating. Our meal was like $10 total after the discount. You can't beat that anywhere. The Club House is now on my radar. There is another diner right down the street that does 50% off on Mondays.

OMG - Monday night - 8PM, Jan 7, 2013. the diner was a ghost town. Late night eats were horrible to say the least. And the Food service took forever. There were only 11 people in the entire diner.... FYI, we have been at this diner for weekend breakfast for more than 10 years and to celebrate Birthdays with a choice of cake instead of having a whole cake at home to go to waste. Appt - Calamari - that was the size of the calamari used on their salad bar. Just awful Son - order of Chix with vodka sauce that was a mess to say the least. The waitress actually ask my son choice of pasta of which he replied Penna. What a joke. The pasta was bow ties with broc, chix chunk's dried tomatoes with some sort of sauce - awful presentation and taste. What is so hard in making a vodka sauce folks (marinara, cream and vodka) ?? Husband - ordered Turkey club and the toast was burnt and asked for poto salad in place of fries The main reason we ventured out - is to celebrate a Birthday of which we always go to the Club House - Not ever again Son the BD man - Oreo Cake that was dry and the whipped creme taste like the refrigerator Son 2 - had Lava Cake - however the inside never spilled out onto his plate, because the inside was as hard as a hockey puck Wife -(me) - Baklava - always a treat, however tonight the philo was HARD not flaky Felt bad for the waitress. We paid our check in full with the bad food included on the check. Waitress did go to management, however, nothing was done. The management didn't even bother to stop by our table to offer a substitution - nothing from the Greek..... Didn't even bother to take off the entree' . .Matter of Fact the gentleman, next to us, order a chix Parm and the parm was cold inside. Again no one was in the diner. On the weekends we are regulars and have a particular waitress and she said before Christmas 2012 that this place is going down real fast. And as I am typing this review, my son had been in the bathroom once at the diner and already 3 times in the bathroom at home. I will see later tonight if we has food poison and will get back to post. Well, we are done with the diner and will move onto another diner.

I used to go to this place all the time when I lived in the area. The clubhouse diner has definitely changed in the worst possible way. I ordered my meal and it came with the salad bar, soup, entree, and a dessert. To start the salad was horrible. The lettuce was submersed in water and there were barely any vegetables, just creamy salads. The soup that was ordered never came. For the main course I ordered fried flounder with fries. The flounder was a little well done in the fryer and the fries tasted like they had been sitting out and re heated. To top it off they had no tartar sauce available. Our waitress paid us no attention at all and the staff just stood around talking and eating in the back. Our disgust was expressed to the manager and all they said was sorry. My wife's food tasted terrible and had asked for a baked potato when ordering her meal and our waitress said they advertise them but never really have them. Horrible food and horrible service! Will never go back ever again and do not recommend this place.

Stopped in at another's request. Live walking distance and avoid this place. When asked how my dinner was at the counter I told the hostess, 'as expected.' The salad bar would be completely unnoteworthy except for the roof leak dripping water all over it. The food came so fast on the 5 course special I ordered I was jammed with the salad, soup and appetizer all at the same time. I wasn't even finished these, with no room on the table for more, when the waitress brought out the main course. I had to stop eating my appetizer to make room. The special only had three options for a main course, so I selected the least objectionable one. I know london broil is a tough cut of meat, but was so bad I had to spit out some of it, because I hadn't cut it small enough, and it was like chewing a rubber ball. It did taste good though. Well, when dessert time came I asked to take it with and was told that the dessert I paid for as part of the special is not allowed to be taken away. All and all, they didn't disappoint and reaffirmed the reasons why for years I have avoided eating there. Lots of other diners just minutes away.

Loved the french toast, otherwise not worth it.

Diner food is exactly that, diner food so when u go in a diner you should not expect to much. I don't care for diners myself is I'm going to go out to eat I want good food. I have been in this diner a few times and the waitresses have always been pretty decent. I think I had the half of chicken and potatoes and salad bar. The chicken was ok. The salad bar was pretty bad. Stale lettuce, watered down dressings and the add ons didn't look good either. I guess it depends what your in the mood for. Not somewhere I like to eat. To some who do like it I think they have 50% off on Wednesdays on your check.

We used to come here all of the time before the new ownership, there's a reason and it's very unlikely we'll return after today. The diner is mildly busy for a Saturday afternoon. We're "greeted" at the door by a gentleman who asks "two?", grabs menus and walks away, giving no indication we should follow him. He pokes his head around the corner after a few minutes, nodding for us to come over looking annoyed. We're in a room/section that has 5 sections and there are 3 waitresses. One is serving one table and she spilled their food now she keeps coming out to talk to them very loudly for 5 minute stints. Meanwhile we sat here for over 20 minutes waiting for a sandwich and a salad with NO offer of a coffee refresh or a check in (which you would think would be a priority considering the wait) until I called the waitress over and asked how much longer our food would be and I nodded at our empty mugs. Then she proceeds to tell us that another waitress walked off with our order (which was pretty specific so it's odd someone kept our order?) then when I asked how that could happen the waitress laughed and said it's a mess in there (referring to the kitchen). A gentleman sitting near us just called her over to explain he was choking on his soup and needed water she never brought to him. At least the food was ok when it finally got here but NOT good enough to endure this disorganized "service"!!!

If any diner should be avoided, it is this one. I've lived in the Bensalem area on and off for several years but have only eaten here a few times by chance. I remembered, or thought I remembered, the food being decent enough to go there tonight to satisfy my diner food craving. I won't be making that mistake again. My boyfriend and I got to the diner around 8:15 pm, which really isn't late by diner standards. Even though we were sat right away and our waitress asked us for our drinks shortly after, the service went downhill very fast. We took a while to figure out what we wanted, ordered, and then sat and waited. And waited. And waited. My boyfriend's entree came with the salad bar, so he at least had something to eat during the wait. I ended up picking off of his salad in order to hold my hunger at bay, even though at least one of my items should have been out right away (seriously, how long does someone really need in order to toast a bagel?). We ordered a strange array of food, half breakfast and half dinner. My boyfriend's french toast came out. My bagel and cream cheese did not. The sides for his fajita came out, but the actual veggies for it did not. My quesadilla did not. Oh, and neither did my BAGEL AND CREAM CHEESE. Finally, my quesadilla came out. I had to ask for my bagel and cream cheese (seriously?). My boyfriend was told that the waitress was waiting for the veggies for his fajita to finish being cooked (again, seriously?). His french toast was bland. They had no flavor, aside from the syrup he drenched them with. My quesadilla was difficult to eat because they used two small tortillas and made a tortilla sandwich with fried vegetables and cheese, and then cut it into quarters. Vegetables were falling out, there was no structure, and I actually had to eat them with a fork at one point. And when the fajita vegetables finally came out of the kitchen, the skillet was sizzling exactly how you would expect, but the vegetables were cold on top and burnt to crisp underneath. My only complaint about my bagel, luckily, is that it was the last item out. The entire time we ate, our waitress never stopped to ask if we were okay or needed anything. When we were done picking at the most edible portions of our meals, we ended up sitting and waiting for another 20 minutes, trying to find our waitress in order to get a box for the fajita and the check so we could leave. We were so ready to leave that we were barely even talking to each other, just staring at the food in distain and looking around for the waitress. At one point, a man that I assume is the owner walked by our table and asked if we were okay. But, we didn't have a chance to respond because he asked the question and then walked away without waiting for a response from either of us. He saw my boyfriend's barely-touched fajitas and didn't even stop to ask if anything was wrong with them. Somehow, our waitress finally figured out that we might want a box or something and came to the table. We asked for the check along with a box. We got the box, but not the check. We waited another 10 minutes for her to bring the check, which was only brought over because my boyfriend started to get up from the table to ask her for it. Previously, she'd been too busy to bring it over to us when she printed it out because she was chatting it up with the other waitstaff and busboys. We figured out that she'd had the check for 10 minutes because it was timestamped when she printed it. Thanks for the stellar service, girlfriend. All in all, it took us just 5 minutes over an hour to get in and out of there, but we were only actively eating for 20 minutes. I know diners aren't gourmet food, and they almost always have shoddy service. But this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a diner. To top it off, as we were leaving, my boyfriend started to feel sick to his stomach. Everything about our experience here was unacceptable, starting about five minutes after we were seated.

The Club House Diner is one of my favorite diners in the area. They have an extensive menu so you will definitely find what you may be in the mood for. All of their dinners come with their salad bar which is my favorite part of eating here. Most times we eat here I bring half of the meal home and have it for breakfast/lunch the next day. The service can sometimes be spotty but the food is always on point. Great prices, clean restaurant what more could you ask for?

Great breakfast specials!!!

Their menu is huge, so there is no doubt you will find something you like. However, the service leaves A LOT to be desired. A LOT. They take 20 minutes to even bring your drink out, and will bring apps with your meal. Terrible service and rude wait staff, however, on 50% off night, I'll gladly deal with a bitchy waitress and a 20 minutes to serve diet coke. Can't beat a meal for two for ~$15. They're owned by the same company as Great American Diner Pub.

If this place really is 2.5 stars, well, I'll eat there again. Look, I'm a sales trainer from Charlotte, NC. I come here every now and then on business. When I'm in town, I have to hit up the Club House Diner for dinner. It's close to work and the hotel, and I like the variety. I've eaten here maybe ten times over the past few years, and maybe I'm lucky, but I've never been disappointed. The menu is huge... as in large, and as in replete with many, many selections. I usually do some sort of dinner that includes the salad bar. This past Tuesday, I stopped in around 7:00 PM. The place was not crowded, although I noticed the Wednesday half off special, so that's probably the night when it's most jammed. The waitress was reasonably quick to stop by and get my drink order. She came by soon so I could order, but I was on the phone. Not to worry, she returned a couple minutes later, and I ordered their $16.00 5-course dinner special (I was hungry after yakking all day!). I had chicken noodle soup (home made, with large chunks of chicken and al dente noodles... tasty. I had buffalo wings (plate of 3, nice and spicy, with a cool blue cheese dressing... classic). I had a trip to the salad bar, where I got as much of the Greek and Mediterranean stuff as I could recognize. Yum! I can't spell or pronounce any of it, but who cares? My taste buds were happy. Then they brought out this wonderful plate of broiled flounder with a delicious tomato basil concoction on it. It was light, flavorful, and just what I needed. I topped it off with a dip of vanilla ice cream. In retrospect, I could have just had the salad bar and soup and been happy, but the fish was great, the wings were tasty, and the ice cream settled it all. Ahhh. C'mon, you locals, give this place a try. I haven't been disappointed yet, and I've dropped by, as I said, randomly, about ten times over the years. Once, I even brought my meeting guests there, boss included, and it was one of the most enjoyable evenings we had that year. I'll be back the next time I'm there, in January.

Very little roast beef in the open face hot roast beef sandwich. They tried hard to stage an over abundance of food, but it was mostly bread, gravy and mashed potatoes--all the cheap stuff. Not sure how they would react if someone ordered this dish with no potatoes and gravy on the side. The flavor....just mediocre. The salad bar, offers very little in "traditional salad". There was lettuce, cut cucumber and sliced tomatoes (very mushy) that was it. No carrots, no radish, no mushroom, no shredded cheese. The rolls were the driest I have ever eaten--borderline stale. Not once did the waitress proactively stop by to see if we needed anything. After she cluelessly walked by 5 times I decided to place my empty water glass at the edge of the table assuming she would "get the hint" and fill it. Never happened--she continued to pass right by until I flagged her down and asked. The diner is not particularly clean (and I remember this from my previous visit a few years prior). The jukebox at our booth was splattered with dried food and took up too much room. To sum it up, not impressed with the food or service here.. Plenty of other places to eat in this area so there is no compelling reason to return. I am being generous giving this place even 1 star.

used to be very good. has really gone downhill. went for an early bird with a coupon.refused to accept it, even though it was dated for 4/14/2014. said it was a misprint. we only have one early bird at the coupon price, which the waitress failed to tell us, and that was not available on that night. what a scam. food was less than average, as was the service. salad bar, which used to be good, had many items which were obviously out there for a long period of time. the worst cole slaw, macaroni salad, and potato salad ever. lettuce was going brown in spots. and some other veggies looked less than eatable. wanted to speak to the manager, but the arrogant dude at the cash register, said he was busy, and would not be able to speak to me. never ever again. horrible customer service. try the warminster west, suburban, eagle, tiffannys, or country club diners for a much better experience.

This place is okay, we used to go there more for dinner when they had a bar! The salad bar is okay if you like different types of salads. The crab meat stuffed mushrooms were really good!

After getting food poisoning here in 2006, I reluctantly agreed to give it another try in a fit of starved desperation last weekend. I have never regretted a decision so strongly before in my life. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken on it, only to find that the chicken was completely raw in the middle. The food was taken off the check only when I asked for it to be removed and I left hungry. I won't be back.

Let's keep this short. What a shame to have such a beautiful property, which is so nicely maintained have bland stale desserts! And yes. I am judging all desserts because this place HAD a reputation for fresh baked goods. The group of people I was with ordered almost every dessert that they had and we only gave a passing grade to the hot tea. I hope it gets sorted. Or it will mean loss of customers.

I frequent here often with the family. I'm 2 mins away and I like this diner above the others scattered around bucks and NE Philly. I get people expect alot and yes, you should. There should be an ample dose of quality and service plus good food with reasonable prices. I think it lives up to that. Like others have said, it is a diner. Not a five star restaurant. It matters when you go - If you go on the weekend, during prime dinner hours, or Wednesdays (50% off your check), you're going to wait and like other places, service tends to lack when its busy. These waitresses work hard, I see them almost once a week! Don't order extravagant dishes and expect it to be fabulous, again, it's a diner. Go for breakfast, the salad options, burgers, sandwiches. They're all yummy! Its not perfect, but for a a good diner experience, it's my pick.

I've driven pass here so many times and just thought it was a strip club because it was lit up like a x-mas tree and all I noticed was "Club House" on the sign. Then one day, I figured out it was a diner so we stopped to try it out. The salad bar is pretty good. Lots of different types of food on the menu. The menu is pretty huge. There are always specials. An entire sheet of specials which is pretty cool. They also have table top video games at most of the tables. Before anyone asks. Yes, of course you have to pay to play. No money, no honey. ;-P The portions of food are pretty big and the food is OK, nothing to knock your shoes off or anything but it is not bad for a diner. I think also that you should ask the waitress for her advice since the menu is so huge. They have a lot of desserts. Some of the special will include dessert but the weird thing is.... If it is an item that is on special that comes with the dessert, you are not permitted to take it with you, even if you are full and want to take it home. So I guess they throw it away when you leave. Such a waste of food. Parking has never been a problem and it is open 24 hours I think? Oh yes, and one more thing that is kind of important to note. The salad bar is not 24hrs. They start shutting it down around 11pm so if your there for a late night graze, just remember, there will not be any lettuce on the field. Moooo

Food is OK, its not great. Menu is HUGE. Portions are pretty big. Salad bar is pretty good, but nothing on the salad bar is labeled so you have no clue what anything is (and they have a lot of interesting things on that salad bar) Also salad bar is VERY VERY messy and they don't clean it up. Service is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! The only reason we go is because 2 or 3 times a month they have 50% off your entire check. I mean you can't beat dinner for $10.00 or less.

My friend from New Mexico always wants to meet me here when she travels from home. She misses Diners, apparently they are far and few between out West. She is happy when we go because we can sit for hours chatting and no one bothers us .She does give a rather large tip up front and say's drop off the check and don't worry about us. We will pay whenever you are ready to go home. She would give it a 4 but since I'm doing this review I will give it a 3 since 2.5 is not an option. This place was a solid 4 or 5 many years ago, but different owners, baked goods have gone downhill and the food is just so very average. They do offer 50 percent off often and I'm sure they would be a great deal for many, but I remember the Club House Diner when it was worth the trip just for the great onion rings, terrific desserts and fluffy matzo ball soups that are just not the same. The Matzo ball soup is way to dense and they are using a very salty, chemical tasting chicken base in the broth.. The salad bar is sad compared to the past. They were famous for that salad bar ,which is now sometimes pretty sloppy looking. The bread in the steam area of the salad bar is often dried out and a mere shadow of what was a show piece of the Club House Diner.

fair for a diner, altho wed night 50% off is good. They take off some of the items which are normally on the salad bar that night, so don't let the 50% off fool you...no feta, no stuffed grape leaves that night. There marinara sauce is so sugary it is inedible. Stay with the sandwiches, broiled fish..altho the salmon they like to dry out so make sure you let them know dont over cook. Burgers, fajitas, lox/ bagel are all good. The diner in the past was awesome, now it is mediocre at best. American diner across the st is owned by the same people and a touch better quality.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life happened this morning. The Clubhouse Diner on Street rd. in Bensalem, right down the street from Parx. It looked decent enough from the outside. When I walked in I was greeted by the hostess who resembled a pre-op tranny or an over-the-hill "lady-boy" from Thailand. The waitress had her own gender issues, probably from years of Pennsylvania inbreeding. The entire staff are ugly enough to ruin any breakfast. The potatoes were half rotten, making me discard the entirety of my hashbrowns. the eggs were hard on the outside and the bacon was cheap and undercooked, as was the over-buttered toast. The gagging didn't tell my idiot waitress the food was bad, she actually asked if we were enjoying our meal. The best part of this meal was when it came screaming out of my body in a violent, painful, brown tsunami.

A vegan won't find a lot of options here...which is unfortunate. So I opted for the salad bar...which was a big mistake. The salad was bland, almost all iceburg lettuce, the dressings were WATERY, everything looked stale...basically a salad bar nightmare. It was pretty insulting. The place is supposedly known for its pancakes or waffles or something. Others in my party did get them, and they did seem satisfied, but given the other reviews on Yelp, and my one and last experience with the Club House DIner, I don't plan on returning and I see no need for you, reader, to ever go here either.

It's a diner, but a very nice one. The salad bar is fresh and varied. The entrees if a bit overpriced, are very good. I took my wife here on our first date to give you some idea of how I regarded this place in the past. I haven't been there in a while, but I imagine, like a lot of the rest of Bensalem, it has not changed (very) much. I have a special place in my heart, but I'm not overtly biased. If you like Diner food, you won't likely be disappointed.

The buyer should beware--of 1/2 price Wednesdays, that is. Sure, they deduct 50% from your bill, but what they don't tell you is that they give you a menu with "special" Wednesday prices on it--$2 or more higher on every single item than they charge every other day of the week. How's that for a scam!

We were at the diner yesterday for lunch. After seating us in the left side of the front dining area, there seemed to be a problem with a couples order. I was at the salad bar when I heard the tall female seating hostess state to this customer "you have done this before". I almost dropped my plate. There is rude but if this the the way this diner treats its customers, yesterday was our first and LAST time I ever eat at Club House Diner. One more thing your chicken is not the best in the area as stated by your employee during her discussion with the other customer.
