Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Fly infestation .....don't like this place poor tasting food and I would rather go else where

I give two stars because it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that great either. I ordered chicken parm and the sauce was very very thin, almost like they just threw diced tomatoes on top of the meal. The Alfredo entree barely had any sauce. I used to think this place was more of a traditional Italian restaurant, but their food is the same thing you would get at a pizza place, except WAY too overpriced. I paid over $30 for two take out meals, never again.

Sigh. This is yet another "food place" in the area that clearly doesn't know or love decent cooking. They know freezers, jars, cans, their way around a restaurant supply order sheet and how to pay the electric bill. It's just another fabulous example of how much better I can cook at home, and another place that makes you want to buy more pre-prepared, processed convenience and freezer foods that will eclipse theirs (in taste and quality), as well. The lady-face on the menu creeps me out. The fact that another reviewer said they saw a mouse in the dining room disgusts me, even if this place is close to the Poquessing Creek (Poquessing = place of the mice). The large Capricciosa pizza (Prosciutto, Olives, & Mushrooms) is deliciously artery-hardening, and the only memorable thing I might ever get from them. It doesn't even have fresh mushrooms, and features cheapo green jar olives, but it is marvelously salty and someone else still made it. No one else in this area even serves prosciutto (to mice). Oh, yeah, the "Broccoli Rabe (oil & garlic)" was drowning in oil. Like oil soup. They have managed to get takeout orders correct, but they have been out of things, too. Maybe they aren't very skilled at inventory, either.

We had dinner at Calabrisella last night and overall it was a pleasant meal.My wife had a tortellini and crab meat special,my daughter had shrimp scampi and i had a veal, shrimp and chicken dish. All were outstanding.

VERY low quality food, will never go back. So gross.

This is my go-to pizza place nearby. The plain pie is best. I really really wish they did delivery because I hate having to go pick it up but still worth it every time. Occasionally they're a little heavy handed with the oregano but the crust and sauce is the best around. I've only dined in once. The food is great in the restaurant itself but it's very small and you're likely to wait a while during peak times. It's the only reason I haven't dined in more often.

I'm going to give them two stars mainly because their pizza is actually pretty good- but that's where it stops. So if you're going to give this place a try, stick to their pies and you most likely will not be disappointed! Dining in though, is a different story. The meal we had recently was awful, and honestly i'm not a food snob by any means! It was just really, really bad. I was so disappointed- and my family has been coming here over the past few years. We haven't been there in maybe a year up until recently, so i don't know if maybe they had changed cooks or something? My mom had spinach ravioli's with crab meat and shrimp in a red sauce (i forget the name of the sauce). The raviolis were so hard from being undercooked and the shrimp still had their tails attached, which was sort of strange for a dish like that. The worst part of it all, was that it was $26 for such a disappointing entree. I ordered the chicken parm. The chicken breast was super thin and the cheese looked like they just put a slice of cheese on top and melted it. It tasted like a frozen chicken finger with cheese and sauce. Again, like i said, i am really not a picky person or a huge food snob! I really appreciate good food, even if it's not out of this world, i'm usually pretty satisfied with a mediocre meal...but this was just blah. The waitstaff was sweet and really attentive luckily, so there's a plus! And as i mentioned, i highly recommend the pizza! It's definitely the best in the area. So i'm not swaying you to NOT check it out at all, just skip on the overpriced dinner part and go for a pretty yummy pizza!

This is the "Hoagie Hut" from many years ago in Andalusia, but it is totally made over into a restaurant with great ambience AND you can bring your own bottle. Very good wait staff and food. Authentic Italian. I think if you're reading a negative review it may be from a former employee who was let go. I highly recommend Calabrisella.

The owner and his family sat inches away from us... Made me feel a little uneasy when they chowed down on plate after plate while I waited what seemed like hours for my $20 frozen boxed manicotti. Maybe it was the waitresses wearing black yoga pants that turned my stomach. I wrote to them personally about their prices and food quality... No reply.

I'm giving this one star, but they don't even deserve that. This is by far the worst food....Italian food, our party of six has ever encountered. I won't go on about how one of the dishes was not prepared and then rushed and was cold and uncooked. The eggplant parm was horrible. Thin slices of eggplant not even fully cooked, placed on the plate, with acidy sauce, and cheese unmelted. Wasn't even baked. The pasta was overcooked and extremely bland, must have been a cheap quality pasta. Our server didn't even know the dishes, she brings out two and says "this one looks like chicken cacciatore" but no one ordered that. It was something else. She said, "oh well, looks like chicken cacciatore to me". Unbelievable. Very bad, I read the reviews before going but still took a chance. DON'T GO.

Wow, this may have literally been the worst restaurant imaginable. It was like the worst of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares all packed into one experience. They are serving all clearly frozen, flavorless entrees at insanely high prices. For the area, if they charged one third of what they currently charge, I would get it and think I got what I paid for. The tables are packed in and you are constantly being bumped into, and all of our menus were brown with filth and several had CIGARETTE BURNS on them! I just really feel for people who think this is incredible food, because they have clearly not enjoyed anything homemade or fresh. And calling this "authentic Italian cuisine" is on par with hurling racial epithets. Do yourself a favor and drive into the city for a real meal. Or even to Olive Garden. Or Applebees.

What a pleasant surprise! The food taste was really really good, and I say this with years of working in the catering industry (and being rather spoiled). Tried their Calamari Marinara - an authentic version in which the squid is sautéed in marinara sauce instead of being breaded and deep fried - it was tender and the sauce a bit spicy. Broccoli Rabe with garlic and oil - perfect. A great pizza with prosciutto, olives and mushrooms. And a tasty sausage entree with onions, peppers and mushrooms. No complaints here. The waitress (Jenelle) was excellent. The atmosphere is kinda dark and plain, tables are tight but it feels typical of a small mom and pop place somewhere in Italy (they are exactly like that, more emphasis on the food than the décor). A complimentary sip of homemade lemoncello at the end of the meal - that's Italian hospitality! We will definitely return!

AMAZING. The ambiance, pizza, staff...everything about this place. It is also BYOB which makes a bottle of wine with your food totally affordable depending on what you bring ;-) The pizza is more or less a NY style and was sooo tasty I did not want to leave leftovers. The person I was with was from another country and said it was some of the best pizza he has ever tasted. This place is definitely a great spot to take a date or go alone (or order out!). When I am back in the Philly area I definitely plan on making a return trip here.

The environment was nice for a regular pizza place. The food was good, not great but came in a fast fashion. Gino was very nice and I would recommend it. There are at least 4 pizza place within half a mile and I would recommend Calabrisella over everyone else.

I'm a huge fan. I've been a customer of theirs for some time now. It was distressing to see them shut down as the result of a fire. I feared that they would not return. What a true loss, that would have been. Fortunately, they returned with the same quality of food I had grown to know and love. This is one of those authentic homemade Italian joints, you know - "if you don't see it on the menu, just ask and we'll make it for you" type of place. The dining room is BYOB, it's got the looks of a pizza place with the attitude of an Italian restaurant. I tend to do takeout. Their pasta dishes are great. Salads are good. Bread is tasty. Sides of meatballs and sausage always do the trick. My favorite dishes are the gnocchi in salsa rosa or the margherita pizza. Mmmmm....can't miss with those. I love Calabrisella and look forward to many more meals from them.

I'm not sure about the authenticity of the menu, but the food here is outrageously good. The bread and pizza crust are made using semolina flour, which make them out of this world good. The antipasto is great, the fresh homemade pasta is great, the pizza is great and I'm sure just about anything on their menu will please you- maybe even surprise you. The service could be better in here, and the owner could try to be more genuine with customers, and nicer to his employees- at least in front of his customers. I have yet to taste anything bad in this place, and I'm hoping they open soon, since they've been closed for a little while due to a fire. But I'm taking a star off for crappy service and an owner that needs to be more personable.

We visited Calabrisella's a few weeks ago because we felt like we were in a rut and wanted to stay close to home rather than head back into the city. My first impression when I walked into the dining area was that it felt seedy rather than intimate. The walls are a deep red and the lights were down very low. It gave a dive bar feeling to casual Italian dining. The waitress was fantastic and very apologetic about the fact that she was waiting for more bread to come out of the over 15 minutes after we were seated and then again when I placed my order, my backup order and then my 3rd order (they were out of the first two things I tried to order) I was disappointed to settle for a gnocchi dish that I could have made with a jar of sauce and a bag of frozen gnocchi. My boyfriend said that his chicken parm was ok but not great. I really wish I could give the place a better review because of how wonderful the waitress was but this place didn't earn a 3rd star.

Please don't go..food bland and way overpriced . 26.00 for a stuffed flounder that was incredibly small and the crab meat was all filling no crab meat a disgrace. The salad was lettuce, quite a bit of onions and 1 olive. They continually serve bread ..probably to fill you up so the small portions won't be a shock. Tilapia and shrimp meal 25.00 and no flavor just many onions and olives.. the chef must like onions. The prices are not in line with the quality of food. SAD
