Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Pizza rather ordinary, subs okay, spaghetti took a long time and the pasta was sour, could not eat and was not going to order something else. They tend to open the windows or doors to the outside when it gets warm or hot out. That lets the flies in. Lots of them. May try again if they change management.

I moved out here, after both living in New York City for approximately 4 years and being from Los Angeles. I think that this place is the best pizza around, and could hang with some of the places in NYC. I am a huge fan of this place and will only get pizza from here. My only complaint is that they cannot make a good Margarita pizza, because they do not have fresh basil or fresh mozzarella. I make my own pizzas anyway, but this place is good.

My friends and I came rolling through Bedford one evening on a roadtrip. After four hours of travel, we were starving for dinner and found Original Italian Pizza, one of the few restaurants open past 5:00 in this small town. Inside featured 1970s teal decor: large booths, tile flooring. I had an Italian sub, my friends had a cheese and tomato pizza. The food ate. It wasn't the best pizza or sub in the world, but it hit the spot after hours on the road, and several more to come. My sub sandwich was pretty meaty. Tomatoes weren't fresh so I picked them off. The pizza had a good crust but was really greasy. My friends were dabbing at their slices with napkins. The portions were generous; everyone had a bag of leftovers for the car. Original Italian Pizza is an ordinary small town restaurant with average quality. Nothing to brag about, but no problems either. Price per person: $8.00

Looking for a pie that's not coming from a place called Pizza Hut or Papa John's? OIP offers an option outside the standard pizza chains, and it's a fairly tasty option at that. The pizzas run on the large-but-thin side, with a crust that's crispy straight out of the oven, but soft after it sits under the sauce and toppings for a while. The interior is a bit funky, but not garish, and it just adds to the atmosphere. The seating is mainly provided by booths, but there are tables in a room in the back that can accomodate large parties. A cheap meal, a casual date, or a birthday party are all good reasons to check out OIP in downtown Bedford. If it's early enough (and you have room left), get something sweet at Hebrew's or Ed's for dessert and another side of the Bedford scene.

This place was OK. Seven of us decided to stop in for a bite to eat after a rainy day at the Bedford Fall Foliage Festival. Upon walking in the door we were standing there and was asked..... NEED SOMETHING by some crotchety lady behind the counter. I cant comment on the pizza because I didn't have any but it smelled really good. My grilled chicken salad was OK. The decor looked like it was straight out of the 70's. Best part.... 45 bucks to feed 7 people...... Get what you pay for.

A good indicator of good Italian food is a great sauce, these guys have a great sauce. We are traveling across the state and it is worth it to travel the few miles from the highway for a nice sit down meal. Pizza was good, so was the service, fast and good food.

Yum!! Best pizza in the area. Only caveat is they don't deliver, but they do have a drive thru. Call in your order at least 20 minutes out and pick up at the window! Pizza slices are huge and uneven. I like the "small" pizza, which is about $9, although the large pizza is enormous and not that much more expensive. The mushrooms they put on the pizza are delicious--canned, but the good kind of canned. Service is always friendly enough.

Visiting the area, wanted something quick, and was in the mood for pizza/sub. Walked in to place a to go order, was ignored by the one waitress that was working. Had to flag her down to place my order. Considered ordering a calzone/Stromboli, but didn't want to wait forever. The Place wasn't busy, just understaffed. The sub I ordered was good, but just like any other OIP I've been to.
