Best Seafood in Boyertown PA for sure. If you want seafood in the greater Boyertown area, this is the place for you. The $20 surf and turf can not be beat. I am also a fan of their seafood bisque. Additionally, patrons have access to a full bar. They also are able to do catered events down stairs.

I'm not sure why they have piss poor reviews. Everytime we go to Beck's we are promptly greeted and sat. Everyone is very friendly and the food is always excellent. I also think the prices are decent to. I would rather go here than support a corporate chain like red lobster. I recommend everyone should try it at least once! Even just for a drink, the bar is beautiful!

We stopped in on Saturday for the first time to grab a drink and an app to try the place out. They had a fabulous martini list and the bar was inviting with a couple flat screens. We got the lobster bisque and crab stuffed mushrooms. We loved them both!! We even got more bisque to go. The crab was wonderful in the mushroom app. Ashley was our bartender and she was delightful and very friendly and accommodating. We will surely be back for dinner for the Chilean Sea bass for me and seafood combo for my husband. Definitely the best option in the area.

Can't believe this place is still in business. The inside looks like something you would find in a 1980s basement fire hall and the outside side is dirty and dated. As far as the food, it is just ok... I'd rather go to somewhere like Red Lobster, at least it is cleaner and feels more like a real restaurant. The do have outside seating - I mean if you don't mind smokers and all the cigarette smoke and ashes blowing over your way while you eat. Come on people it is 2015 - time for non-smoking around food.

I have driven by this place for about 10 or more years now and finally we stopped and had a nice dinner there last Saturday night. The waitress was very nice and the food was just fine. Unlike the hilarious and scathing review from Dennis B.,( please read for a good laugh) we had very good service and a meal that was good. I had the all you can eat crab legs and my girlfriend had the Filet Oscar and both were very good. Not much more to say except, it's Bechtelsville for Pete's sake, you shouldn't be expecting Morton's if you go here. (No offense to Bechtelsvillians) The food was fine, the place was clean, the people were pleasant and the prices were in line. Give the place a try.

This place has the worst seafood I have ever had in my life. The service was pretty lousy, like other reviewers I had to wait a very long time to receive drinks when the place wasn't that busy. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

I had the $20 weekend surf n' turf deal... Absolutely fantastic! Service was fantastic albeit a little too dedicated, but hey they are just making sure everything was fine. I contemplated giving them 4 stars as the lobster bisque was indeed inedible after 4 spoonfuls; however to serve the quality of steak and lobster that they did for $20 is 5 stars all the way!

I don't usually do this for a place I like but I'll start with the things I don't like but with Beck's I will and finish with the good things! First, atmosphere -- unlike Leslie I didn't really care for the openness of the dining area... a little chilly, loud and not welcoming. That being said its not a big deal. The parking is tough in the lot too.. but its all minor stuff if you are out for a good meal! And the deck makes up for both of these pings... Second, we've been here 3 times... the second time we had some silly coupon for 10% off or $2 off or something similar... when we presented it the waitress didn't know how to use it and the manager wasn't there so she couldn't put it in for us. This to me is a big strike -- mostly on principle but nonetheless if you go by the "customer is always right" principle they should have been able to take the coupon and apply it. Unfortunately for this waitress, it was taken out of her tip. Sorry about that but I think Beck's either needs to train their waitstaff better or not put coupons in the local guides. Could be just some growing pains though but this combined with the lack of atmosphere cost them a star.... Now... to the good stuff! The service is generally speaking very good... nice, friendly and reasonably fast. They run good special most of the time... I had a Surf & Turf (Filet and Lobster) for $19.99 one weekend that was out of this world. I grew up on the Jersey Shore.. I know good lobster and this was good lobster! The menu is diverse, always a nice selection. The food is fresh and very tasty. My wife really enjoys their shrimp and I love the chowder. All in all, I really hope Beck's makes a solid go of it... this location has failed several times before and I would love to have a good seafood place closer to home than Red Lobster is.. and the food at Beck's is much better then Red Lobster!

My family and I had the displeasure of dining there on Friday night. This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had when you consider how bad the service was and what they charge for food which barely passes as low rent diner food. At first we were seated and a server gave us water. We were promptly given menus and put our drink orders in. Ok not so bad. Then we waited and waited and waited for drinks. Meanwhile the place wasn't too busy for a Friday night. We knew things were about to take a horrific turn when we received biscuits that fell apart as if some 5th grader made them out of Bisquick. This place should be investigated for fraud. We were served a "lobster pizza" which for the price of $10 looked like a frozen pizza they bought at Redners. The onion rings were $6 and stuck together. The so-called shrimp ravioli my sister purchased were barely cooked. The "French fries" I ordered looked like a 1/4 order that were probably recycled from someone else's order. And the service was atrocious. Certainly the worst I have ever experienced in any place of business. We didn't receive our drinks for nearly 20 minutes when the place was not busy at all. Added to that, our drinks were brought out one at a time. We had to wait over an hour for terrible food. The staff ignored our table for a half an hour after we received our salads. Was there ever any update as to why our entrees were not being served as many patrons were leaving. Hell no! We arrived at 7:30 and finally ate at 8:50 pm. The people running this place should be arrested. I would have complained to a manager but there wasn't one working. Clearly. Other customers were also treated poorly. One couple stormed out of there after we heard them saying "they couldn't take it anymore" after being ignored for 45 minutes. I would never advocate not paying for a meal and leaving before you get a bill, but this experience was worthy of such a reaction. I sincerely hope this place goes out of business. I never want to see anyone lose their job, but if you work for such a low-rent establishment like this you have to question yourself as not only a waiter, waitress, or chef, but as a human being. Go to their website and look at the prices they are charging for this slop. I cannot fathom how a human fing being can justify charging someone 20 dollars for ravioli that they probably bought at a frozen food section! The 25 dollar seafood platter contained 3 scallops, 3 shrimp, and some other slop. Unreal. I have had better food at firehouses. Beck's Sea Cove is an utter atrocity. End of story. P.S. I don't think this place is deserving of even 1 star or 0 stars. I wish I could give them -1000 stars.

The building has been home to 4 different restaurants in the last 10 years and none of the previous ones lasted very long. The current owners have obviously put some time and thought into the restaurant to make it something unique and special. As one would suspect for a seafood restaurant the interior is adorned with nautically themed pictures and memorabilia but fortunately it's not so over the top so as to be gaudy or a distraction. There's lots of wood work throughout and the bar is very large and inviting. For dinner I had the Sea Cove Catch which is a broiled seafood combo consisting of Clams casino, 4 oz Lobster Tail, scallops and shrimp. Everything I had was delicious. The other three people in our party enjoyed their meals as well. Service by the young wait staff was friendly but a little slow and lackluster, especially considering there was almost no one in the place when we were there for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon, but it certainly wasn't anything that would keep you from coming back. Beck's Sea Cove Inn is a good seafood restaurant and one of the few in the area to be giving diners a welcomed alternative to Red Lobster in Pottstown.

The dining room is merely an open banquet room and not very intimate. However, if you can get past the outdatedness the food quality is very good and reasonabily priced. We had several seafood entrees all of which were cooked perfectly. Our daughter had a kids meal which she enjoyed as well. This is a refreshing option to Red Lobster.

I am going to be honest, probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. First there were 2 other parties in the restaurant and our food took about an hour to come out, I can't even fathom what it would be like if it was busy. Second my chicken fettuccine was horrible, I could make better myself and my boyfriend had fried cod, he said that Gordon's fish sticks tasted better. My sister had chicken parm, said it was the worst she had ever eaten and same with my mom and dad with a steak and scallops. We also had caesar salads, happened to be terrible, and the apple sauce was warm and old tasting. I am honestly surprised my father did not flip the table over and walk out. The service was so slow. To refill our drinks we had to ask, no one came and asked how anything was and they didn't have any Patron left for margaritas. I see these positive reviews and I just have no idea how someone could honestly think this place tastes good, let alone give it a good review! The decor alone is a reason not to go back! So old looking! Step it up or I give it less then a year left in business. Stay away, go get a fish-fil-a from mcdonalds and save yourself a crap ton of money, and it tastes way better. These others reviews were written in 2011 a lot must of changed.

Beck's has really done a great job of bringing this location back to life. First of all, they deserve kudos just for taking a chance on this building because it had been vacant for quite some time. Just the fact that they put up the funds to renovate the building and open a restaurant should be more than enough reason for everyone in the surrounding communities to stop in and support them by dining here. Now to the food - the seafood is all done really well. I had the sea bass and my dining partner had a crab entree and both were done to perfection. The desserts (we had some kind of cheesecake thing that was so good!) are really good too. It's just a nice, homey place with very high quality food. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there just when needed. The bar area is pleasant, very small town-ish but nice. I'd definitely recommend Sea Cove Inn, it's worth the drive if you're coming from far away, and the local communities should definitely step up and support this great family-owned business.
