I live in Florida now, but still miss having lunch with my mom at Kelly's in the summer by the river. It's awesome and one of a kind, you must go. great drinks.

I give a huge hive five to Kelly's. Let's be clear, when you enter through the front door you are absolutely in a dive bar location. It is everything a hometown bar should be. A few years ago I came during the winter and sat in one of their booths and had a blast with cheap drinks and good company. This time, it was summer when I came for a quick appetizer. You exit the main structure and suddenly you walk to outside and are met by an outdoor oasis. They have brought in sand and palm trees and the whole restaurant looks over the river. With the ambiance and island music playing, immediately you feel as if you are in the Caribbean. We could only stay a short time, but I could have sat there all afternoon. We ordered the coconut shrimp and the onion rings. Both were perfectly fried. But the real highlight was our outstanding waitress. Attentive, friendly and just an awesome person. She told us all about their weekday specials (including $1 hamburger and fries, etc). Ample boat docking (it was not too busy and most were full, so maybe some of the slips are seasonally rented but I am sure they have guest slips),. If I lived close by, I would be a regular. I do think they could update their interior to reflect the island vibe they have outside, but who cares?! This is a place to go and relax and have cheap food and cheap drinks with a great staff. A+ As a cute thing, when you exit from the outside seating area to the parking lot they have a sign that points to the lot and says "This way to reality". So true.

This is a charming hang out for people in Beaver and Rochester counties. It serves your typical pub food with a bit of a twist, but nothing too fancy. Standard beers on tap with a couple of craft handles, and a decent bottle selection. Today, two friends and I arrived during the Brunch session. It was PACKED! I mean, line out the door packed. We weren't even there for the brunch! Luckily, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so getting a table was no problem. There's no hostess seating, though, so we waited a bit before realizing we should have just sat down. Our waitress was kind, but service was slow and sporadic. I ordered the field green salad with steak. It was very tasty and fresh. My one friend ordered the brunch, but it was close to the end of brunch time, so her plate didn't look appetizing. My other friend ordered the coconut shrimp and the fried green beans, but ended up eating the beans out of their breading because the breading was too thick. All in all, this location is a staple in the county, and I'll be returning for events here and there. I like the ambience and the people.

We stopped here in the Evening, and as I entered the outside back area....... SURPRISE !! An Irish Pub with a Full out Sandy Beach type area, laden with REAL Palm trees, a Cabana Kitchen, and Gazebo stage with Live Music. Have I gone to Heaven?? If You are in the Area. certainly Well worth a visit. It's like being on a Tropical Vacation without the Plane ride. Good people.. Fun Times !

Excellent setting. Breakfast buffet was well organized, and executed. Food choices very good. Two omelets stations for custom service. Great value. Well worth the trip.

always good, the outdoor beach dining area is great. Only 2 complaints 1) not very crowded but food was slow in coming 2) waitress told me Guiness drafts was 3.50 but it was 4.50

Steak salad had over cooked steak and service was tough. Not enough wait staff. Not sure I will return.

Monday is your day for Kelly's. I walked into the scenic place and at every table was a steaming bucket of crabs. Only on Monday's.

Great summer hangout day and night. Palm trees and sand surround your table while gazing over the river. Awesome steak salad with small baked potatoes. The pravago wheels are to die for.

I want to start this review off by saying that I work in the service industry so I am never quick to judge or condemn when it comes to recieving bad service at a restaurant. Upon entering the atomosphere was great, however, when we sat down we waited five minutes to be greeted and to place our drink order. I asked for a highchair for my daughter. I watched as the waitress went over to a woman, who I thought was a patron because she was dressed in normal clothes and had a drink in her hand, and asked her to bring us the high chair. The woman brought us the high chair and went back to where she was sitting. After getting our drinks we waited quite a while for our server to come back to take our food order. We weren't the only one experiencing this service. One table got up and left, three other tables were visably agitated and on the verge of doing the same. The restaurant was busy and I overheard our server in the side station saying that they were down a server. Our server went back over to the woman I thought was a patron and told her she was weeded and couldn't keep up so the woman got up and started helping by bussing tables. I know what it is like to be weeded and waited for as long as I could. Once it hit the 40 minute mark I could no longer wait. 3 out of 4 of us dining had waters but my son had a sprite and I wanted to make sure it was paid for instead of up and leaving as the other table had. I went to my server at the side station and appologized for her situation and asked if I could pay for the drink and leave. She was very apologetic and asked me to go to the bar to cash out. I went to the bar and the lady from outside that I thought was a patron but who I believe is the owner asked if she could help me. I told her that I wanted to pay for my drink. She asked if I had a tab or wanted to open one. I explained to her that I had just waited 40 minutes to place my order and just wanted to pay for the sprite and go. I did not receive an apology nor did she offer to rectify the situation, instead she had me pay $2 for a child's sprite and sent me on my way. I do not hold the server accountable the restaurant is obviously poorly managed. I will absolutely never go back there again, qnd it's a shame because it has a great ombiance and potential.

While this is not a fancy place it. does have a cool outside Sandy area with palm trees in the back. Sure it may be on the Pittsburgh river but just take a deep breath and you can feel a bit like you're on vacation! Best of all told the food is outstanding! The burgers in pub chips are to die for! Always a nice cold beer on tap and comfortable tropical-like surroundings! This place is truly a great find!

I literally just tried to eat the worst meal I've ever had in my life. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and the wrap was so stale it was like eating a cardboard box. I figured the pub chips would be good. I mean they are deep fried potatoes, how could they mess that up. They were literally raw. How hard is it to deep-fry sliced potatoes. Apparently very hard. I've been coming to this place for the past 15 years. The food has really gone down hill food wise.

Year round, this is a great place to go to hang out with your friends. During the weekend they have good local music, and it's always fun to sit outside and watch the boats go by in the summer while you listen to the bands. Their Sunday Buffet is very good, especially when you consider the price. Both the Summer and Winter menu are great. I especially love their Guinness Burger, but I've had most of the non seafood items on the menu (not a fan of seafood) and haven't had anything that I didn't like. Monday they have all you can eat crab legs, and my friends and family that like crab rave about that night. If you want to go for the crab legs, expect it to be busy, but again, everyone I know says they are worth it. Tuesday is my favorite night to go down however, because every Tuesday starting at 8:00 they have live Irish Music with local musicians. It is always a fun time and the crowd will welcome you in like you're family! I've talked about the food, I've talked the live music, and I've saved the best for last. The folks who work here are wonderful. they always greet you with a smile, and make sure that you're stay is a good one If you couldn't tell, I think this place is great and would recommend it to anyone that I know!

The pork roast ham Cubano like sandwich was TO DIE FOR, similar but like nothing I've ever had when it comes to a Cubano. It had pork, ham, mustard and pickles but the pork was a thick slice, maybe 1" of roasted pork. YUMMY! This sandwich was done perfectly. I also tried the burger but mine was overdone so I wouldn't try that again but nothing beat the pork sandwich that 5 day trip. The BEST part about Kelly's (like I said before) is the outdoor patio, reminds me of Hawaii, tropical, hibiscus, palms, riverside, boats, absolutely beautiful. You will be shocked when you walk out of Ireland into the tropics.

Kelly's is a decent place to sit outside and listen to some music. They are set up with palm trees and sand on the ground. Since it is on the river you are frequently visited by ducks from the water. Their food is okay but I think it is a little overpriced for sandwiches. They have a tomato and mozz sandwich on their menu and when I asked for grilled chicken on it, it ended up being about $14. I think that is a little pricey for average food. This is a good place to go for a drink but they tend to be very crowded. The service is a bit slow but if you order pub chips they can hold you over until your food comes.

Nice place to have a few beers weather it be winter or summer. I prefer going in the summer, outback is an oasis unto itself. During the colder months, it can be quite cramped, and seating can be limited. Nice folks, mostly on the yuppie/ older divorcee side. Or, the after work " networking" crowd. The best part is they serve Guinness on tap!
(3)Ej S.
This is just your normal Irish pub themed bar really. But during the summer they transform the patio outback into a beach of sorts right on the river. It comes complete with palms, sand, and tiki torches. Really a cool little hang out. Food isn't half bad either!
