I frequent the Trolley Shops with my grandmothers. Their food is pretty great! Their cream soups are always very good, especially the New England clam chowder and cream of broccoli. The cream of broccoli soup actually has recognizable chunks of broccoli in it, which is always a good sign! Their deep fried food is never too greasy, their fries are incredible, and the sliced turkey on their sandwiches is literally to die for - I have never in my life been impressed by deli turkey! I highly recommend trying many of the dishes on the menu, which isn't too overloaded. Their marinated grilled chicken dinner is very, very good! This restaurant is a great place to go if you're hungry and want something good. I definitely recommend them!

Smiling, laughing waitresses. There are very busy times when you may have to wait to be seated, but usually not too long. Food is good and typical diner fare. Fried food is not too bad. NE style clam chowder has been very tasty. Love the tuna melts - not greasy! And sweet potato fries! Consistently good for breakfast. There's an ice cream shop next door which is a nice extra in the summer.

My husband and I live in Bangor, and we frequent the Trolley Shops for weekend breakfasts. It's a great place to bring friends and relatives that are visiting. It's very casual, but the service is quick and the waitresses are friendly. This place is similar to a diner, as they have a very large variety of different types of food. They also have a senior menu. I would 100% recommend this place for breakfast! They have a Trolley Shop Special, which is a ton of food for an extremely reasonable price. We have had lunch here a few times as well, and a simple sandwich or entree is always delicious. I hesitate to give it five stars, because we simply aren't there enough to claim that it's a favorite, but we are definitely fans.

I've had a fairly consistent run of good experiences with the Trolley with only a few off visits but no one is perfect. Prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is always very pleasant. Average diner food with a few specials, breakfast time is their niche I think. 9/10 would recommend going if you like diner style food (also they have a cruise night on Saturdays with some pretty nice cars that attend!)

Nice place to eat for breakfast and lunch. The girls are great and funny they are fast they don't let the coffee get cold. Mj is great and Hobbie is very funny when you get to know her. Restroom is clean. I eat here all the time.
