The food at Qdoba is great. We keep going back even though the service at this location is atrocious. We always order online and then go to the restaurant to pick up. You choose your time and your food 'will be ready for you' at that time. This has NEVER happened. Whenever we arrive our order is still sitting on the printer not even started. Then we have to wait until the staff completes the order, all while carrying on personal conversations. We have complained to the manager, a teenager with a chip on his shoulder, and they could care less. When you have small children, or are picking food up on your way home from working a 15 hour shift, waiting around for 10 minutes isn't exactly pleasant. it would be nice if it was ready the way it was supposed to be.

I go here for lunch about once a week with my coworkers. During lunch, the wait is random depending on the day and the exact time you go but we never had trouble finding a place to sit. I usually go for the gumbo or the burrito, and I really like the food. The people working the counter are usually friendly.

Me and my husband went for dinner and found staff was very very very unprofessional and very rude then every seen in my life. If they do not want any customer then they should be closed and go away from this place. It seems like they were paying us to have meal. Staff tried very much to rush in order and even was not properly hearing what I say and spoiled my vege wrap. This was my first and last visit in Qdoba Mexican Grill and also never recommend to any one

So, we went there for the first time ever last week and we were pleasantly surprised. The dining area is spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly. We told them it was our first time in and they started recommending things and explained how fresh their items are. For those who haven't been there before - it is kind of cafeteria style. You order your food at the counter, watch them put the ingredients together, and pay at the end of the counter. The drinks are self-service, which is nice because you have free refills. We ordered one chicken quesadilla, one pulled pork taco, and chips with guacamole. We kind of shared everything. I have to say that everything was good. Not the best mexican food for sure, but it was good because we were craving some. For those of you watching calories / fat - check out their website first. They have complete nutritional information on there and you'll be surprised which are the healthier options. I'm on weight watchers, so I find their website very helpful.

OMG Its the Chipotle of the East Coast. Definitely not the best Mexican food out there, but come on, it's Audobon PA. It's this or eating at Walmart. It sufficed for what it is. Dumbed down Americanized Mexican food. The Panda Express of Mexican food. It was however, conveniently located right by our hotel.

Qdoba offers some nice amenities, including a clean dining area and well-trained staff (no matter how crowded, they'll get you in and out in record time). This location is always packed full of office workers (weekdays) and suburbanites (weekends). Their signature dish, the burrito, is my Kryptonite. They're huge, unattractive blobs of madness I can barely stomach. The taste is always off, and the burrito skin always appears flaccid and unhealthy. Clearly something's wrong with me, as both my friends and enemies extol the virtues of the Qdoba burrito. On the bright side, you can get decent tacos here, with soft dough. Try the ground beef. Value isn't the best, but it's tasty enough. And that habanero sauce on the side? It's not hot, but it's a chain we're talking about.

Was here last week and ordered the Vege Gumbo, loved it and my cousin had the chk quasadilla and he gave it a ****. Slightly pricey. Nuff said will be back.

I know it's a chain and all but I'm loving their mango salads. I think I have had one for lunch at least once a week since they came back out.

Seems to be just like chipolte except the portions are smaller. Tastes are very similar and I would recommend the Chile BBQ burrito with guac and sour cream.

The Trooper Qdobas is excellent. The food is well prepared and our kids love it. The staff makes accommodations for what and how much they eat. It is certainly kid friendly.

I'm not a big Qdoba fan, I'm actually a Chipotle addict, but I recently was on a customer site and needed to get some catering. This Qdoba did a great job, the delivery was right on time, and the guy set everything up very nicely. The food was fresh and hot.

not the best Mexican food in the area but if you are craving some, its good to quickly satisfy yourself. It is generally clean and the employees are nice but often short with you. You should absolutely know what you want and what you like on your tacos/burritos or whatnot if it's the dinner hour. Often the customers get a bit pushy if you don't know what you want (lesson learned!).

Qdoba's main offering is something I am not the biggest fan of, burritos. They do however offer something I am a big fan of, and that's quesadillas. My wife is a big burrito fan, and she gave the burritos a big thumbs up. We stood in a cattle chute to order, but the staff was friendly, and quick. I special ordered my quesadilla, and they were happy to oblige. I got the medium salsa, which was delicious, with a sweet almost apple taste, though it wasn't hot in the least (or even medium). Overall this was a pretty good place for mexican, and I will definitely going back for more.

I realized recently that my husband and I eat out at Mexican restaurants an average of 2-3 times a week. So I think I can safely say that we are big fans of this style of food. He loves everything spicy, and I'm into rice and guacamole. Qdoba is definitely at the top of our Mexican "quick service restaurant" list. When I describe Qdoba to people who have never been there, I say it's like a Subway (sandwich shop), but with burritos. Choose your meal from the menu, and it is assembled in front of you from ingredients set into the counter. By using this method, everything is also completely customizable - choose your favorite type of salsa, ask them to leave off the cheese, or have them add peppers and onions. The employees are generally quick and courteous, and do a good job of preparing your food correctly. There has been more than one occasion where my burrito was "overstuffed," and rather than serve me a tortilla literally bursting with beans and rice, they either double-wrapped it or "transplanted" the filling into a new tortilla. The menu offers a variety of tacos, burritos, nachos, and salads, as well as tortilla soup. Everything can be ordered "naked," meaning you get just the filling in a bowl, either without a tortilla or with the tortilla on the side, and this has become my preferred burrito style because you can make sure all the ingredients are mixed together, and it's a little neater to eat with a fork than to bite into a burrito the size of an infant. Though the flavors are pretty standard for Mexican food, they also have some interesting options, like poblano pesto. Compared to a fast food place like Taco Bell, their dishes are on the pricey side. But I think the high quality of their food and large portions makes it worth the cost. They pride themselves on the freshness of their ingredients - for example, they used to have signs out with a photo of an avocado, saying that this was what your guacamole looked like this morning. The bins of ingredients at the counter are constantly being replenished, and at this location, you can watch other employees in the kitchen grilling meats or roasting vegetables. Even your tortilla is freshly steamed when you order. A few ingredients I recommend you definitely try: the cilantro lime rice (which comes in almost every meal), the queso (a spicy cheese sauce), and the corn salsa (deliciously seasoned).

I go to Qdoba way too much, because it's my "go-to" place when I can't think of any other new place in the area that I want to try. (In fact, I am almost deathly afraid that I've become a regular here, haha.) Anyhow - Qdoba does in fact have the best burrito/fresh Mexican food in the Audubon/Norristown/KOP area. Coming from Southern California, I was bummed to lose all of my authentic places, and while this place isn't necessarily a great substitute, the food is fresh and delicious. Generally I order a chicken burrito with queso and add on a drink and chips for only $1.99. The spicy habanero sauce (the hottest Qdoba offers) is so good! Be sure to join the loyalty program and you can earn points towards a free entree! (Plus, you can get double points on Tuesday.)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this Qdoba. I've been going to this Qdoba for the last five-six years. Despite moving three times during the same period, I've consistently made my return once/twice in a month to show my support. Staff is friendly and generous, food is great, ambiance is low key yet not too rowdy. And best of all, they support my alma mater. :)

Well, I was a HUGE fan of Chipotle down in the DC area, but since I heard this was the next best thing in this area, I figure I'd give it a try. So far I've only had their taco salad, so the 4 stars is based on that I guess. Tasty tasty tasty is all I've got to say. If you are looking for a healthy salad, this is definitely not the one to get. You get a crispy, super bad for you, fried tortilla bowl (I think its tortilla?) filled with lettuce, chicken or beef, and all the usual taco toppings at your request, and some special sauce that's just delicious. If their burritos are anything like they were at Chipotle, I'll definitely have to give it a try next time!

Fresh and fast, what more could you want. Try the naked burrito, better flavor, less calories. Their BBQ is good enough to drink.

My experiences with this location have always been fantastic. Ben, the manager, knows almost every customer by name and he really is a rockstar with making burritos. Everything is always fresh and always well staffed to handle a busy crowd. My favorite is the shredded beef burritos Grab some white rice, pinto beans, veggies shredded beef, Diablo queso, guac, sour cream and lettuce and BOOM!! 10 out of 10 all star. Much less expensive than Chipolte also. Fully stock burrito I described after tax is under $9.00 and will fill you up guaranteed

My favorite Qdoba location! I have been a fan of Qdoba since they arrived in the Philadelphia area in 2005. On my most recent visit to this location (Tuesday, 5/12/15) I was greeted upon entering by Tyler, who took my order and started promptly making my food. Most people don't realize that at Qdoba, you're allowed to ask for a little, a lot, or extra of anything behind the counter, and the employees will happily accommodate. Tyler made me two perfect Steak Queso burritos and promptly rung up my order. While eating, I was visited at the table by Kevin, a Manager. I invited him to sit with me for a few minutes so we could chat about this particular location. I enjoyed being able to share my feedback about this store, what I liked about it, what sets it apart from other locations, and most importantly, what improvements I had noticed in the last 6-12 months. Not many employees (let alone Managers) of a fast casual restaurant are that invested in hearing what someone thinks. I greatly appreciate the time Kevin took out of his busy day to speak with me. Overall, this is a top notch Qdoba location, and I have a fantastic experience here this week. I look forward to visiting again very soon!

The ingredients here are always tasty and fresh, and they give you a lot in terms of serving size! Also, if you ask for extra of anything, they don't give you dirty looks, the way the chipotle employees at the location near me (I'm from new york, where we have loads of chipotles and so few qdobas!) often do. Woohoo, hurrah for friendly employees! This place made me love qdoba WAY more than chipotle. I always get the burrito bowl here, with brown rice, chicken, fajita vegetables, loads of salsa, free guac (yay free guac!!!) and lettuce. My boyfriend lives in the area, comes here regularly, has practically tried everything on their menu, and especially loves their queso (cheese) sauces. Even though he's lactose intolerant, he says they're worth it. In the words of my boyfriend, and I quote verbatim, "I think this location is superb! They've never let me down!" (Sorry this sounds so contrived and generic, i swear he said those exact words to me today after lunch, haha!)

I go to this Qdoba very often but this time around it was disturbing. While chewing my food I felt something weird in my mouth, so I spit it into a napkin to find pieces of plastic. I couldn't return to the store because I'm on lunch break and had limited time left. Not to mention hair in my guacamole. Very upset.

I don't come here very much, but when I do I find myself wondering why I'm not here more often... The place is clean and the staff is friendly, upbeat, and efficient. I always get the steak burrito and it is good. The meat they use isn't that great or fresh. I see it just sitting in the tray looking sad and lifeless, but edible. They always seem to nail the white rice (light and fluffy) and the beans are on the bland side. However, once everything is wrapped up in a nice package it is very good. I love a good burrito with fresh meat and ingredients sadly this isn't what you will find here. What you will find is a good product at a reasonable price with exception service and cleanliness.

Decided to give Qdoba a try few months ago after several years again. The food was bland to so so at best. We had the veggie and chicken burrito. Most of which did not seem fresh at all. We live less than quarter mile from this place. And had high hopes going in, so that we didn't have to drive 9 miles to the nearest chipotle. Sadly though, qdoba FAILED miserably. Even beyond the so so food, what killed it for us was the service. We went on a weekday evening and the place had may be couple customers in there. No lines when we went up to order the food. Yet, the girl assembling our burritos couldn't be any more rude and rush us through the process. To top it off, the guy at the check out counter started throwing sarcastic comments about how great qdoba is. Seriously qdoba! you should get your act together and work on improving the culture of your employees. No wonder your competitor has a line out the door and you are having to downgrade.

Been eating here numerous times and mostly focused on the quesadillas which are made to order and consistently good. The chips are decent and a little on the salty side but w rojo sauce are a nice meal when you need that mex fix. The guacamole always appears to be fresh and tasty. Overall this chain could not compete well with a solid homestyle privately owned place but since we have none in this area (hint: somebody please get started on that right away) Qdoba gets my vote. They could be cleaner on both sides of the counter and the new menu was hard to comprehend, you will like it here. I plan to continue coming back.

The best fresh, fast, clean, healthy, Mexican food. I personally prefer Qdoba over Chipotle because of the quality, fresh vegetables, hot soup, and quantity. Not to forget you get 100 points whenever you eat here with a Qdoba card and on Tuesdays you get 200 points. I tried out Mexican Gambo, Veggi bowl, Burrito, Chicken Gambo ...all are always fresh and healthy. There many options here compared to Chipotle. Taste is not bland and with the hot soup its much better. "The best healthy fast food"

Unfortunately this location can be a hit or miss and this review is definitely a miss. My husband and I popped in for a quick dinner and the staff was unprofessional and rude. The girl assembling our burritos has her cigarettes and lighter hanging out of her back pocket. Furthermore, they didn't have any ingredients freshly stocked hence causing delays in assembly. As the line was building up behind us and because they didn't have any ingredients, she began rushing us. Generally if you order a signature burrito it has a set amount of toppings. She had no idea what toppings to add. And because there was a lag in assembly due to waiting on ingredients, our burritos were cold and soggy. To top it all off she was rude and unprofessional. What a disappointment!

Out of all the burrito places in the area, this one is my favorite. The burritos are big and packed with deliciousness. They also have various other standard mexican food items, such as tacos and quesadillas, but I never really get any of those because the burritos are too good to pass up. They have a wide variety of burritos, and you can fill them with steak, chicken, or pork. There are two that are tied for my favorite: the queso burrito and the ancho chile barbecue burrito. The queso burrito is just what it sounds like, a burrito with delicious cheesy queso inside. I'm a big cheese fan and this burrito definitely satisfies. The barbecue burrito contains some sort of spicy mexican barbecue sauce that is packed with flavor. I was somewhat skeptical the first time I tried it, but it tastes great, especially when combined with the shredded pork. They have five different kinds of salsa. My favorites are roja (which is hot) and verde (which is medium). I haven't yet gotten up the guts to try the extra hot salsa, but now I think I'll have to try it the next time I stop in. I'll often stop by to quickly grab a burrito to take home for dinner after work, and the generally fast service makes it easy to do this. They assemble your burrito from the various ingredients while you watch, and they're pretty snappy about it. However, I occasionally happen to stop by during a busy time and have to wait in line, but it's never been a very long wait. My only real complaint is that occasionally the person who is making my burrito will be a bit stingy with the cheese. They'll usually give you more cheese if you ask (like I said, I love cheese) but sometimes they try to make you pay more for it. Come on, just give me a little more cheese. It costs them next to nothing and keeps me a happy and loyal burrito-buying customer. A minor complaint, but somewhat irksome at times. Overall, a great place to grab a tasty burrito, with a convenient location and generally quick service.

Great lunch spot. It gets pretty packed so you have to sometimes get out there early or you have the option to order online. I cant stay away from the Pork Burrito! They fit so much food into one burrito that I always have some left over for later. ha-ha. I havent tried too much else but the Taco Salad is also very good. Service is always very quick. They keep the line moving. You get a big bang for your buck

    (5)
  • Martha M.

Don't let the long lunch line stop you. The food is fresh and delicious. The menu is not long but it's all you need. It has a nice casual sit down atmosphere and you get your food just the way you like it. It is made right in front of you. It 's got a cafeteria style way to get your food but I've never heard anyone complain yet about the food. Now personally, when it comes to Mexican food, I have a particular weakness for chicken quesadillas and Qdoba's has never failed to satisfy my craving for a good one. From the marinated chicken to the fresh pico di gallo and as much sour cream as I want to dip in makes me want one just writing about it. The prices are reasonable as well so if you're in the mood for no hassle, fast, good tasting Mexican, check out Qdoba's...

The men behind the counter don't really care about the quality of the burrito they prepare. They pile on too much rice and then skimp on the other ingredients which really matter. After all, rice is the cheapest ingredient on a burrito. Makes me think, were they instructed to do that ? Not going back there

Today is a bad weather day and no one was out on the roads so Qdoba was empty except for 2 other families.. So being that they were not busy at all, they broke my top two pet peeves of all time for a restaurant. The table tops were filthy yet there were 3 guys behind the counter standing around, though one of them had a spatula and was watching meat grilling. The other ridiculous thing that occurred was while I was ordering, the cashier turned away from me twice in mid order to continue his conversation with his 2 coworkers. Really? Clean the damn place & give your customers their 90 to 120 seconds of attention. If you do not get paid enough to do the basics, don't take it out on me.

I realize there is little need for a review on a mass-market burrito chain. However, I've had such great experiences at this particular location, I kind of feel obliged to write a few words. (jk, I never only write a few words!) I've been to several Qdoba's (no judging) in the area, and though this is not close to my home or job, it's the only location I go to. The staff is always super friendly, even or especially during their mad crazy lunch time rush. Seriously, if you go around 12-1, the line will be halfway to the door. Yet, you can still be in and out of the line in like five minutes. The staff always seems very experienced, efficient, helpful and smiley. The restaurant is incredibly clean, and large enough to not really worry about finding a table even during rush hour. I also love that there are several outside tables, if you care to share lunch with passing bees. On the flipside, the Qdoba in Plymouth Meeting is .. well, the opposite I suppose. I'd rather not say anything since I can't say anything nice. Even if this particular Qdoba is a little further out of your way, make the trip if you're really craving queso. It's just off the 422 exit, so you can be back on your way in no time. Unless you'd like to fill up on cheap gas in the Wawa located conveniently next door.

Cheese quesadilla is da bomb, better than chipotle. It's huge too. The pork nachos are crazy good as well. Prices aren't the best, but you do get a lot. Service is pretty quick even when there's a long line. Good place to hit if you're looking for contemporary mexican fast food.

The men behind the counter don't really care about the quality of the burrito they prepare. They pile on too much rice and then skimp on the other ingredients which really matter. After all, rice is the cheapest ingredient on a burrito. Makes me think, were they instructed to do that ? Not going back there

This time I had a pulled pork burrito with black beans and roja salsa. Pretty good, but still not the best burrito in town.

I really like Qdoba... Usually go to the one in Bryn Mawr but stopped in this one since I was nearby... My husband and I were the only customers there on a Saturday night around 8... The food was good but the restaurant was freezing!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
