Skip by Brian C's review, obviously a non Delco tool. This place is back to its old self after a semi recent sub regime change. Food was slipping for a little while there, but they're on track. One of Delcos ling standing traditions. Although they should go back to using normal non coated fries. They suck. Typical Sysco/USF garbage. Only downside.

First time here food was OK. Place is a little dirty. I won't go out of my way. Just saying?

Went here for a desperation dinner - and needed something the 7 year old would like. (She suggested it). The good: The black & white milkshake ($4.05) was freshly made and big enough for the 3 of us to each have a good bit of. - really big enough for 2 to share. The chicken sandwiches were fried - but freshly fried. Very pleasant service - an older lady took the orders, a younger gal cooked and served and a teen guy spun milkshakes and got us fountain drinks. The bad: Waffle fries are just OK. Onion rings are tasteless and above a 1/2 step about BK quality. I wanted the real deal - and this ain't it. The ugly: NASTY horrid bathroom. Used - again - out of a 7 year old's desperation. We'll be back - in the spring/summer when the weather is nicer. A junk food paradise. There is NOTHING remotely healthy on the menu. Not even an iceberg side salad.

I had to add a review due to the negative ones. I really liked this place. Nothing fancy. A good, semi sloppy burger but I like that! None of that McDonalds crap. A good customized burger with tons of topping options including grilled onions! Spicy fries had weren't equally seasoned but a shake of the fries quickly fixed that. I will be returning.

Hand formed beef patties? Check. Perfectly cooked fries with cheese on the side? Check. Fresh condiments? Check. Burgers of the Month? Check!! Milkshakes of the month? Check!!! You get the idea. With countless fast food burger joints in the area, this place offers a nice change of pace. I've been to many Zac's locations (four or five in the area, methinks) countless times and it's always good. I had a hankerin' for a cheese burger today and the Aston location is right on my way back from the Chiropractor so it was an obvious choice for lunch. The staff is friendly and efficient and I noticed a definite "regular lunch crowd" feel. The place can seat up to 34 people- and this place is SMALL! I don't think I'd like it if it were stuffed to the gills. I've been in Zac's before when they were really busy you could wait up to ten minutes for your meal but that was not the case today- if you're dining during a peak time (lunch or dinner rush) call ahead and it's ready! When I was in college there was a deal for a bag of 10 burgers for $10. I'm not sure this magical and brilliant deal still exists but I can respect a joint who dreams up deals like this. I had a good laugh when I read the Burger of the Month sign for January- this month it's an "Island" burger. Before I read the sign- I thought- "hmm, I bet they'll put pineapple or bananas on that sucker!" But no...just thousand island dressing. Clever indeed.

I have been here countless times since I have been at Neumann University. The service is always great and the food is even better. The big guy cook is always pleasant and offering anything he can. I will always be a satisfied customer!

I've been to several Zac's, including this one, multiple times. Decent burger, decent shakes. This branch is rating 2.5-3 stars after my most recent visit. Zac's is on the 2nd tier of burger places under Charlie's, Smashburger, and Cheeburger Cheeburger(all first tier). I'd put them more in line with Charlies's juicy burgers, however the quality is just not as good as Charlie's. We went on Sunday after the National Curling Championship which is in Aston this year. It's a pretty dingy place, but the burgers are tasty. As others noted the bathrooms could use a bit of a cleaning. Note: they only have vanilla ice cream and flavor it to have 10+ shake flavors. This is a minus in my book, I prefer real chocolate ice cream in my milkshake. I had 2 bacon cheeseburgers and a chocolate shake to wind down my day of Curling. My first burger was pretty good...juicy, crisp bacon, raw onion, mustard and ketchup...Yum! The second one did NOT float my boat...the bacon on the second one was a chewy mess of fat, it needed to be cooked longer...It was so gross I pulled it off and threw it in the trash...I'm sure somewhere on this planet is someone who likes their bacon on their burger rare, chewy, and squishy...I have to think that is about .1% of the population and about 99% want their bacon cooked thoroughly to give a little CRUNCH to the burger...But maybe that's just me...in any case, the bacon cost this branch a star. There were 2 young girls working the counter and an older gal cooking in the back. Nice to see several pairs of rubber gloves change hands while we were there. Sunday's have a special...it used to be 10 for 10, now its 10 burgers for 18...pretty good deal! In addition to burgers they also have soup, hot dogs, grilled chicken, and a variety of fried goods such as: wings, fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, flounder...The variety gives you some good options, but I'll still take the burger at Charlie's anyday!

This is my favorite Zacs locally. Has a cool retro drive-in vibe due to the building it is in. You can sit at tables (2/4 person tables) or at a counter. Good view of Five Points in Aston. You place your order at the register and they bring the food to your table. Burgers are usually good and everyone I go with likes their fries/cheese fries. Shakes are decent. Burgers here are better and presented better than the Ridley location. Not as expensive as Charlies (or Five Guys) but also not as good. Staff are friendly enough. We only go here for burgers, fries and shakes when coming through Aston but they have other stuff - soups, onion rings, etc. to please everyone (hopefully). Fast food only, no salads. They could clean up the place some, it feels kind of dated and a little grimy and the "co-ed" single bathroom is fairly nasty (and right off the eating area). ugh.

Approx 7:45 on a Monday and the places is filthy. Staff was friendly, food was OK but not worth going out of your way though.

This place wasn't too bad the last time I was there. But it's not quite up to par with Five Guys, Smash Burger, etc. They've been a landmark in Aston for a long time, so they must have plenty of regular customers!

If you're in the mood for a burger with some local flavor, Zac's will fit the bill. But just make sure you take out and not dine in. Atmosphere - Outside is a mix of neon signs and white stucco, looks like a traditional burger joint from the '50's. Inside, looks the same, except for a small TV and digital menu. Walls are drab and dirty, wall decor is faded and bland. Really needs some 'Curb Appeal' inside to dress it up a bit. Waitstaff - Only counter service, no servers inside. Took orders quickly and precisely, only have about a four to eight minute wait for my meal. Food - Ordered a Reese's milkshake, some Vanilla ice cream, two squirts of chocolate sauce, and two squirts of peanut butter sauce. Not really that drastic, could throw in a couple peanut butter pieces to make it a little more realistic. Ordered a burger, lettuce and tomato are extra (gip), and doesn't come with any sides. Quality of the burger was good though, and the BBQ sauce really made the burger. Ordered a side of pizza fries, which again, one squirt of whiz, one scoop of marinara sauce, ta da. Not a lot of imagination, but they do provide what's advertised. Intangibles - Staff left a trash can out with no bag, got a bit of the smell before they quickly filled it. As I mentioned, I would not dine in here, more of a takeout location, though they mention they have five other locations in the region. Overall - Definitely a 'Dive-y' type place. They don't do anything too fancy, but what they do does taste good. Much better then any fast food places in the area, but not quite the 'foodie' experience some may look for. Locals know and love this little haven, and it will continue to be a fixture in the region.

My dad and I were excited to try here. Yummy, hand made, not mass produced by a huge corporation cheeseburgers?? Worth a try! We both ended up getting sick. Never again. I'll stick with Charlies in Folsom.

If you're looking for a good burger or milkshake, Zac's is the place to go. The only reason I can't give a 5 star review is that the chicken nuggets and fries are average.

Sunday special. 10 burgers 10 wings and a 2 liter soda for the price of 10 burgers any other day.
