Never dined in, but have ordered lunch from here a few times. Nice menu selections, but very pricey. I will say, their Fish Taco's are out of this world.

We love this place it is very home town! AND the food is crazy good! They must have like 6 people working in the kitchen like monsters making delicious eats! Not to mention the bartenders are as happy as can be! The ONLY reason why I am hesitant to give this place 5 stars is due to it being basically "family dining". they have a fairly large dining room , and during happy hour you are most likely to catch a family in back with a couple of kids making noise and well it's slightly disturbing to toss back 5 martinis with a kid watching you...though I am usually against most kid places this one I sort of don't mind. I am certain yo won't see a folks with 4 kids in there past 8:30 at night!!!

Typical Bar, good variety of beers but pricey. Food not flavorful, crab cake sandwich bland, bun very "bread-y" and hard. Had the remoulade on the side, the only thing that saved the crab cake. Pasta too al dente, fries over cooked (dry and dark brown)...ended up going home and cooking.

We enjoyed our experience here. $5 appetizers from 4:30-6:30 which makes for some cheap eats! The atmosphere was good and our family enjoyed our visit here. I'm sure we will be back again. I love finding a restaurant he I like that is close to home and not another big chain.

1 out of 2 stars for Food 1 out of 1 stars for Service 1 out of 1 stars for Cleanliness 1 out of 1 stars for Atmosphere We ordered the pork dumplings, they taste fine but they also taste like the same frozen dumplings I buy at BJ's. For $8.99 we got 5 dumplings! Bag of 4 dozen at BJ's...same price. Considering how cheap they are, they could put a few more on the plate. We also ordered a catfish sandwich and a Cuban Pete panini. The catfish sandwich was $10, and came with one very small fillet, pickled cabbage and remoulade. I asked for more remoulade because it was very dry. The Cuban was a little dry but otherwise a good sandwich ($8). Great service. Jenn was our waitress. She was very attentive and friendly. The bartender seemed very friendly with the bar patrons too. The restaurant is nice and clean. Decorated with warm colors. Fourteen televisions around the bar and at least one in the dining area. This could be a great place to watch a game but not if you have to take out a second mortgage for the bar tab.

My wife and I decided to try the Slowdown Grillpub as we like local businesses and were dying for a new local spot to diner when in the area. We're happy to say that this is a nice little spot, and a few minor tweaks to the overall experience will make it better. Atmosphere - Say hello to beige and warm colors, as the Slowdown Grillpub has completely renovated the interior from the drab old business that used to be there before. The main theme for the restaurant is relaxation, and you're able to do that here in a nice clean booth or at a large table. A large bar with well placed flat screen TV's will also make for a sport's lovers night if going for the game or a beer after work. Nice layout and color scheme inside. Waitstaff - Our waitress was pretty good for the most part, recommended some good beers on the beer list (over 40 on tap and to go six packs are available as well!), and took care of a food issue that I had with my meal (more on that later). The place was pretty slow when we went in, so it was nice to see things coming out quickly after ordering them. Food - Ok, so a few minor misses here. Let's start with the good, split and order of pork dumplings that were awesome, even better then some Chinese places in the area. Crispy dumpling outside with juicy pork inside, delicious. My wife enjoyed her Slowdown Sliders (one each of a burger, crab cake, and pulled pork). I decided to try their wings, which were pretty good. Not the best I've had, but definitely better then take out or chains in the area. Now the not so good, the fries we ordered came out cold to start. Like, stale cold (yeech). The waitress brought them back and a minute later, some tasty fries came out. Although don't bother with the cheese sauce, looks like a bad whiz that's also cold. The menu here is really, really big, I'd prefer they cut down some of the items and just focus on making a few things, really good instead. Intangibles - We had a small fruit fly buzzing around us for most of the meal. Can't say that this was due to a cleaning issue, but pretty annoying and no idea where it was coming from. Make sure to check out the specials when you go, Monday's were $1 off craft beer, although their online menu says 1/2 off. Parking lot can be tricky to get out of during rush hour, may do better to go up the complex and out at the light if it's busy. Overall - I'm happy that I don't have to drive 15-20 minutes now to get a decent meal at a sports bar themed place. This seems like a good place for Football Sunday to grab a six pack and some food to go before the Eagles game. Not sure if they're thinking Sunday ticket for the bar TV's, but that might bring in more crowds during football season. Slowdown Grillpub is definitely a good spot to stop in Aston, and recommended to give it a try to see how you may like it.

Good food, great prices. Sit at the bar or grab a table if you're with family. They have a $5 lunch menu which changes often. Awesome bloody Mary's.

Nice clean pub with a huge menu. Lots of higher end food. Enjoyed the shrimp lejons and black n blue scallops (perfectly prepared). We got there early and when we left the entire place was full. Not a hidden gem but a welcome addition to Aston. We will be back.

Tried this place twice. First experience was ok not the best. Service was good food came fast. I got a burger and crab dip. It was OK nothing to brag about. Stopped back last week and the food was horrible. The pulled pork is definitely not fresh was very bland and chewy. Could not take a second bite. The crab soup did not have a trace of crab just veggies. I brought a friend she was not impressed to say the least. I would not recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner!

Was seated by hostess and then waited for 10 minutes, probably closer to 15 and no one even came over and acknowledged us. Three waitresses kept passing us and than a table that was seated after us had their drinks and placed their order. We got up and left, never going back!!!! Had been here before and liked it --- something must of changed and not for the better. Would not give it 1 star but had to for review.

Went back in on a Tues. Bar was busy but cleared out. Single bartender. Four of us ordered some food and drinks. Bartender to worried about chatting with other employees than getting us new drinks. Wasn't very knowledgable on types of alcohol they served. Food was so so at best. Stay away from roast beef sandwich. All of our dirty plates stayed with us till the end. Owner just sat at end of bar oblivious to our situation and other patrons with the same issues. Itll be a loooong time before I eat there again.

First time here party of 3 Meal 1 - crab balls Shrimp Wrap Crab balls were very good. Along with the shrimp wrap. Meal 2- perogies and bbq flat bread Perogies were a little over greasy and the flat bread was an all around disappointment. Meal 3 fried pickles and Cuban Pete sandwhiches. Fried pickles are long quarter length pickles with breading. Not th pickle chips. Seemed to me to be too much pickle to breading ratio. Cuban Pete was very good. Needed some extra mustard but all around good Service. This is were the review turns bad. Waited a long time about 7 minutes until we ordered a drink. Server did not know the beers they had and the bar has no mint. Te Mexican breeze was sent back for being overly strong. Server seemed like a rookie ad took a long time for most of the service. I will return to try it again.

Food is pretty good they have a large menu with a wide selection of burgers, appetizers and entrees. They have something for everyone. They also have a prime rib night and it's very good.

We decided to try this after mixed reviews from people we know. We went on a Saturday and they had a prime rib special, so we got that and the steak. The service was fantastic, however, we both ordered well done and our steaks came out bloody. We learned just go for apps and drinks, not steaks.

The Menu has potential if you're looking for better, quality food choices. However, the execution of the Menu is lacking. We ordered the Ahi Tuna flatbread. The 'pita-like' flatbread was cold & moist in the center. We also ordered the Shrimp Tacos. The shrimp were quite small & over cooked/dry. We are always saying that we need a local restaurant with more eclectic menu options, other than Fried food. Slow Down has the potential, but the Kitchen Staff needs to work on proper execution of the Menu. The Bar Staff is consistently Friendly & Efficient.

I've been here a few times and I will keep comming back. Chef Bobby has his kitchen putting out top notch pub food for the price. Rotating menu and draft beers keep the choices fresh and interesting. The fried pickles are fantastic and the truffled parm fries rock. Also had wings in the chipotle honey sauce and they were very good. Pair it with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and this place always keeps me comming back.

Experience at Slowdown getting worse. Tonight, had to remind waitress I ordered onion soup. Wasn't completely done but was OK. Ordered the broiled seafood combo and portion size was reduced from past. Service and food is a hit or miss anymore at the place. Starting to question future visits.
