We've been to a couple of the wine & food pairings and can't get enough. Everything is amazing every time!

This is a hip, trendy tapas/fusion restaurant in downtown Easton. I was just there sampling appetizers for a business card exchange. The food was excellent and the place had a neat vibe. I hear it really heats up at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights for dancing downstairs. UPDATE: Finally ate here for dinner with friends. Great, friendly service and good food. Reasonable prices for a hip, trendy place (ie 7.50 for a martini). Dessert was a bit disappointing but overall great. Would definitely go back.

What a great find. Service was great and the food was even better, though the portions were on the smaller side. I was not a big fan of Tapas before I came, but I really enjoyed the yellow fin tuna tar tar and wild mushroom toast.

always a very relaxed atmosphere whioch i really like. all of the small dishes we tried were excellent. i had the duck confite platter. great bread and pickled shallots accompanied the duck, which was lean but you know it was cooked in its own fat. hell yes. the pom frites are awesome as well, and they come with three dipping sauces.

Huge fan of this restaurant. I always try to go during the week and order the chef's tasting menu. If you go during the week, it is generally less crowded and therefore the chef has more time to s $45 gets you a 5 course meal. I must warn you, you have to be open to almost anything, because they do not tell you in advance what is coming out. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Amazing food! Seriously I have been to many delicious restaurants and this is just great food and great atmosphere. I love the decor! The waiter was excellent-we actually thought he might be the owner since he was that good at explaining everything on the menu. My daughter graduates next year from Lafayette and I will be booking our dinner there!
Definitely a place to revisit. Our dinner plans were last minute. Everybody was booked, and only Ocean offered a table, but it was in the lounge. Upon arrival and seating, I resisted. Things did not start out well. Bread plates on the table. But oh no! Apparently those aren't bread plates, they're appetizer plates :( That's right, no bread, and I'm starving! I scanned the menu and was disappointed. My taste buds are picky. Either I love something or I hate it. There is no "I'll eat it if I have to". I felt myself growing hostile because we hadn't chosen someplace else, even if it was a chain. We ordered appetizers and I ordered the filet mignon with no dressing. And mashed potatoes with no truffles, please. Oh...and with my calamari, I didn't like what normally accompanies it, so could I have marinara instead? Our server checked, and all of my requests could be granted. Ravenous now. No appetizers showing up for a while. When they did, our server apologized for the wait, which was due to an unexpected party or something like that. Yeah, I'll try to maintain a "stuff happens" attitude, even if I feel like I am "back of the bus". When appetizers arrived, I forgot all my misgivings. The calamari looked rather light, but that was due to the breading used. It was cooked to perfection, it had been desalinized, it was a texture that I could only previously dream about. The marinara that I requested? If i had something to put it in, so that I could sneak it home, I would have. It was amazing. It actually tasted like the bolognese sauce that I used to spend hours preparing at home. My entree was just as redeeming as the appetizer. Filet mignon that I could have pulled apart with my fingers, it was so tender. I had requested medium rare and indeed it was that, so again, it was cooked to perfection. Wonderful flavor for my potatoes as well. If there was available space in my belly, I'd have tried a dessert. But alas, the ample appetizer and the entree had filled me. Although service was originally slow, it was friendly. Our server had an outstanding personality. We chatted briefly with the owner, a personable fellow, also. Got into an argument over the correct pronunciation of spaetzle. LOL. So overall, I had a wonderful dinner. Had it not been for the long wait to eat, this would have been 5 stars. But I would definitely go back again.

SPECTACULAR!!!! One of the best meals I've ever eaten. FOOD- INCREDIBLE... DRINKS- SUBLIME... SERVICE- STELLAR... AMBIANCE- PERFECT Strawberry Basil Cooler, Lemon Sage (I had them omit the simple syrup & Lemonade), They were amazing! We had the Tuna & Crab Napoleon & Lobster Empanadas for small plates, We shared the Lobster, Shrimp and Scallop Ravioli. Each dish was delectable! We finished with Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. I want to eat through the entire menu! The owner was in house and greeted each guest warmly. The staff seemed genuinely glad to be there with and to assist us! I can't wait to go back!

The epitome of a well run restaurant. Ocean has excellent service and the food continues to impress me. Tonight I had the short ribs with cipollini onions over the most amazing and smooth mashed potatoes topped with fresh scallion. Pull apart tender- didn't even need a knife. I wish they served the Demi glaze in a wine glass because I could've drank it straight. My father had the special of the night, Ocean's version of seafood pot pie. Listen here, there was NOTHING homely about this dish. It was upscale and choc full of whole pieces of lobster, scallops, shrimp and meaty cod in a brandy cream. This was topped with their homemade puff pastry. 2 stars for their pomegranate martini though. Maybe the bartender was having an off night because I always order this and it's usually amazing and refreshing. The owner is HANDS ON and makes sure everyone is having a great experience while managing the staff very well. Pricey yes, but worth it- YES!

Had dinner here about a week ago. There is some seating outside and inside. Very cozy inside to have a nice romantic dinner with a bar that compliments the entire room. It's pricy but the food is delicious. The fries with dipping sauce was awesome! Best fries we ever had. I had the red snapper and it was the best red snapper I ever had. We thought the portions would be tiny but to our amazement, everyone left full! We did not have time to try any desserts. I wish there were more options on the menu. The menu is pretty limited, but again, the food was delicious! We parked around the corner in the paid parking lot. The parking lot looked safe and well lit. It's also accross from the police station which is a bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to give this place a try. We will definately be taking out of town guests here to dine again!

The burger. The lobster mac and cheese. Everything is amazing at this place. The steak is just right. The service is good 95% of the time, I had a 1 bad service experience but the waitress is no longer there. The owner is also very accommodating.

Love this place. Happy hour menu is awesome as is the regular menu. Great food, drinks and prices. The outdoor seating is very relaxed and the indoor space very chic. Servers are very friendly as is the owner. Would definitely recommend this place. The crispy salmon, lobster mac and cheese, ocean burger and ocean salad are my favorite. Unique flavor combinations make their food delicious. My favorite cocktail is the basil, strawberry with vodka drink, or gin whichever you prefer, but honestly all their cocktails are yummy!

Given all the raving reviews for this place, I was really disappointed in the food. Service was friendly and prompt and the decor was nice but the food was underwhelming. We ordered the Buffalo wings based on a recommendation from our server...they were REALLY dry. We didn't even finish our order. The calamari was really greasy and oily. The perogie/potato empanada was also on the dry side. The only thing we even kind of liked was the meatballs. We had planned to order an entree but given our experience with the tapas we decided to pass. Would not recommend given the cost and quality.

We ate at Ocean last night and it was delicious! We were able to make a reservation in the late afternoon for 8:00 that night. We walked in and it was cozy with lots of candles. The food is wonderful: the braised shirt ribs melt are so tender that a knife is not needed. The potatoes that come with the meat are smooth and flavorful and all for $21.00 We also ordered the lobster, scallop, and shrimp ravioli. The ravioli we on the bigger size but for $21.50 you only receive 6 of these yummy ravioli covered in a creamy sherry sauce that you'll want to soak up with your bread! The bartender has a list of handcrafted cocktails (we did not order one) and bottled beers. Great place for date night or meeting with a small group of friends.

I've come to expect the worst from the Easton Area as far as food goes. But I'm always up to give a new place a shot. Ocean was a wonderful meal! The first I've had in Easton, PA after about 10 of them. Had braised short ribs that were delicious and my wife had a fish special that she loved as well. The special drinks they had were delicious and the service was wonderful. Only bad part is that the place is very... "cozy". We were sandwiched inches away from several couples, one of which was a bit loud and annoying. not the locations fault just my bad luck to catch a couple of bad customers. Recommended highly to all who want to try it!
Friendly staff very chill relax environment and dim lighting. The drinks are strong and although they are names ocean and have a good amount of seafood their burger is phenomenal.

To give you an idea, Ocean is my girlfriend's favorite restaurant in Easton. That's saying a lot considering all the fantastic dining experiences available in town and the other restaurants we rave about everywhere in the city. Last time I focused on the food in my review, so I won't labor telling you how awesome it is again. The service is fantastic, everyone chips in to make sure the table is taken care of: your server, the bus staff, the bar staff, and the owner. Drinks are always filled and you are always checked on to make sure your needs are met. It may be easier for the staff to do this since the venue is relatively small. However, you can tell that the culture of the restaurant revolves around the customer experience, and they deliver. Fantastic in every way (again)!

It is nearly impossible for a restaurant to perfectly match complex plates of truly amazing food, entrees and sides, small plates with great sauces, and so on. One dinner for three, with everyone sharing everything, and we know that we had found perfection in Easton. The decor is perfect for the menu, and for the vibe they create so well. We had: corn soup, shrimp cocktail, panko'ed calamari. divers scallops, rare seared tuna, tomato-mozzarella ravioli in cream pesto, bananas Foster cheesecake, and chocolate chip cheesecake in a fried spring roll wrapper. Beverages? Yes. Two glasses of a great Columbia Valley Chardonnay, two Lemon-Sage martinis, a Hawaiian Punch martini and a cafe mocha, which gets extra points for extra effort by out server. I have eaten upscale food all over the world. Ocean fully deserves a Best In Class. It is almost always possible to find a flaw or two in the food or service; there were none here last night. Every move they made was perfect, every part of every plate was perfectly coordinated, not a flaw in sight. The person who does all those perfectly coordinated sides must be WAY tired at the end of the night. Even our server was special. She was smart, knowledgeable, helpful, funny, professional, proactive, perfect; :) It will take a while for us to learn all the ins and outs of this menu, and of the special touches that abound; we're going to have a great time doing that. I'm going to suggest that Yelp give us a 12-point score so that Ocean can get the recognition they deserve. I believe we just found our go-to restaurant in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Meh is all I have to say. Ambiance is romantic but the overall experience was just ok. I ordered half tray of lobster raviolis they served 3. my husband had the duck which was very tasty but the sweet potato bread pudding was not good at all. It had the consistency of stuffing with a strange spice. My ultimate mistake was trying to be adventurous when choosing my dessert BIG MISTAKE I went out on a limb and ordered the bacon burbon icecream. If your cringing you should be the whole sweet and savory I was anticipating did not happen. It was disgusting would NEVER get again. My husband's creme brule was fantastic. We will probably go back for drinks but not anytime soon for dinner.

I LOVE this restaurant. Been my favorite for years. Food and service are excellent. I highly recommend this place. The Ocean salad is wonderful. The seared tuna with the hummus is out of this world. They always have delicious desserts.

Dined at Ocean tonight , we did the small plates, totally worth it. We tried the calamari that all the reviewers raved about and we weren't disappointed so tender and the spicy sauce was a great addition. We also tried the ocean salad , the hot wings, the. Meatballs and the lobster pierogies. Everything was amazing the meatballs were moist with little to no filler the hot wings are little buffalo chicken dumplings definitely a must !!!

I usually let my fiancee Yelp for the both of us, but I have to post my own view, both as an Easton, PA foodie, and an Ocean addict. The food if spectacular. I've memorized the regular menu, and it still takes me 20 minutes to order. Ocean Cosmo for a drink is easy, I wish I could stock this in IV form for rough days at the office. I usually order the small plates, and I love everything. Tuna tartare is creamy and tart, perfect foil for the sashimi tuna. Dijon shrimp is my favorite, shrimp is expertly cooked and the sauce is as comforting as Grandma's soft quilt, but sophisticated at the same time. Meatballs are light and perfectly cooked, with blue cheese. What more could you want? More Ocean Cosmos. Lobster mac & cheese... Ocean uses orzo pasta, showcasing the cheese and lobster. Order another Ocean Cosmo to cut the richness. I would walk barefoot down the hill to get this dish. Comfort food, luxurious and yummy. Service is always above reproach. From bar staff, hostess, server and even owner. You want for nothing here. We eat at all the local foodie meccas regularly in Easton, but Ocean is easily my go-to favorite. Please visit this establishment, anything else is just... Cheeburger.

Excellent dinner last night at Ocean. Started off with Dijon shrimp for an app. Delicious. My main course was tuna and it was outstanding, very creative. It reminded me of a deconstructed falafel, seared to perfection over red pepper hummus with pita and pickled cucumber. I would highly recommend Ocean to anyone in Eaton who loves seafood!

Came to Easton from Jersey City to visit my best friend and was recommended this location. It did not disappoint. We loved each small plate we ordered and the pomegranate martini was to die for. The bartender was so friendly as well as the owner. Competes with meals I have gotten in NYC right in Easton

Ocean is AWESOME! My boyfriend and I eat in Easton often and Ocean is our favorite! The service and the food is top notch. The scallops are to die for.....and the lobster pierogies, which were a first for us this time, were amazing!! The manager is always so friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is great and we are never disappointed. We would highly recommend Ocean to anyone who hasn't tried it!!! 5 stars all around!!!

Chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary recently at Ocean. Did so 1) because of the outstanding reviews and 2) past success with Mick's Westfield restaurant. Very glad we did. Interior is very comfy with an upscale urban vibe. Very nice wine list. My wife had a very refreshing white sangria. Started our meal with oysters. Wow. Fresh, tasty, and a surprise of a sherry sauce to bring out even more flavor. Second, was the tapa of the lamb tenderloin. Wow. Lamb was excellent. The side of grated potato with the goat cheese was unreal. For dinner diver scallops served with an out of control risotto. Excellent again. Wife had the seafood ravioli. Again a winner! Dessert we settled for the brownie served with coconut ice cream. Again. Wow. Very great job on all fronts to the staff at Ocean. Looking forward to our next visit.

I love Tapas and search it out where & when available. Restaurant Week in Easton PA delivered big time. Ocean has a cool vibe as you turn the corner and walk through the unassuming metal door next to two outside tables greeted with a dim lit artsy wave like ceiling that rolls to the back of the dining room from the street to rear with the bar to the immediate left with hanging decorative bulbs. Very artsy fartsy, but I love it. I couldn't resist starting things out with braised pork over 3 nachos & calamari with spicy sauce & lobster macaroni for apps. Nachos rocked with the tender pork strands having a light bbq sauce and homemade coleslaw slivered over top. The calamari was cooked just right seasoned not breaded while that hot sauce forced me to reach gladly for the h20 more then once. Where's the "lobster" macaroni was very tasty, but I normally prefer some chunks of lobster where they diced it along with the macaroni which was unique albeit strange yet surprisingly tasty. Juicy salmon orange glazed with the skin on and potato gnocchi delicately under a pea puree with mushrooms both cooked perfectly. We sampled a few red's, they have a really nice global selection of single glass wines for around $10 ea. The staff was quite knowledgeable and engaging making for a very pleasant dining experience especially with kids. Keep the kid in check because this place has tight corners with no running room. Definitely a bit on the $ for Easton, but worth it and i'd gladly go back.

Warm and inviting with a large bar. Excellent small dishes including truffle fries, meatballs, Ocean Salad and a very good steak. Short ribs also reliable. Manager often brings freebies; always a positive reinforcement. Attentive but not overbearing. Drinks reasonable. Will keep going here over any other Easton night out when I'm choosing!

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time recently, and we were delighted! Atmosphere was cool, despite some renovation noises coming from downstairs. (That was over in about 5 minutes). Started with the lobster pierogies and they were delicious! I had the crispy salmon - probably the best prepared salmon I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place for a nice night out and for something a little different. Can't wait to be back!
This restaurant is very close my heart. Amazing owners, staff and patrons. I have been coming here for about 10 years now.. And can honestly say that it keeps getting better and better every time. Excellent place to host small get togethers (amazing basement party spot complete with bar) and just great for dinner and or drinks. Must try!

Ok...don't go here on the weekend without a reservation. We went early on a nice weathered Saturday about 5 pm thinking we wouldnt have a problem...wrong we had to sit at the 8 seat bar and 6 of those seats were reserved. We ordered the lobster mac & cheese for an appetizer to share because my husband wouldn't leave here without trying it! It was very good actually made with rosoto instead of macaroni. He had the Duck breast and thought it absolutely wonderful! I had the ocean burger, it was very good but I probably wouldn't order it again. The fries were amazing! I noticed where you can make a reservation online...I would definitely do this if I get a chance to go here again.

Wife and I went there for our 26th aniversary. I had the soup of the day, which was a butternut squash soup. It was excellent! It had a slightly sweet start with a spicy finish. My wife had the carmelized onion dip with crostini. It also was excellent. For entrees ihad the diver scallops with risotto, and she had the duck confit with mushroom lasagna. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The risotto was good, but I didn't think it was the proper pairing with the scallops. My wife disagreed and thought it was the perfect compliment. The lasagna was very good. Both entrees were quite filling. Dessert was creme brulee for her and I had wonton wrapped fried rasberry cheesecake. Both were delicious. I had a cup of cappacino that was huge. Over all a very good meal.

My family and I visited Ocean prior to a show at the State Theater. We chose to go the small plate route thinking we would share a bunch of appetizer sized dishes and save our stomachs from exploding - boy were we wrong. Everything on the menu sounded so amazing that we went a little overboard, but we were not disappointed. Each plate that came out was just as good as the last, it's hard to pick one thing that stood out. The truffle French fries were a definite front runner, as were the mac and cheese dishes. But honestly, everything we tried was absolutely amazing. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was top notch. Our food came out quickly and our waiter was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back here again. If we could give it more than five stars we would.

Another wonderful experience from beginning to end. From Chip's hospitality and professionalism to Jen's great knowledge of the menu and compete attentiveness. Tuna Tartare as a start was light and refreshing. A truly authentic Caesar Salad and then a perfectly prepared seared duck breast. Carmen loved the salmon and commented that is one of the few places that the skin was crisp. We finished with freshly made coffees and a brownie with a flavorful coconut ice cream. My only disappointment is that we don't go here more. We've taken many friends and recommend Ocean all the time and no one is ever disappointed.
Very good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. However, wouldn't rate this as one of the best places in Easton. Menu was very heavy on Duck and lacked some diversity. They did have a few unique specials though that night. Didn't have much seafood to choose from and the appetizers were unexciting. Overall, everything provided was still good and we had a nice experience. Just not a memorable place that you'd want to return to multiple times.

Ocean never disappoints ! I recently went there for dessert only, but that didn't pan out ... lol. I had the Lobster pierogie with onion jam . The BEST appetizer I've had in some time . It was cooked to perfection . We also had calamari which was very good as well . I wish they would try a new dipping sauce for the calamari tho . Like a butter caper garlic sauce . Still tasty though . I then had the creme brulee which was PERRRRRRRFECT. I could eat it every day . Quality is never lacking at Ocean, I can't wait to go back

Well, this place is pretty good. Everything is as it should be. Service and food are close to perfection. There's really no reason to complain about anything, for me I've been here 10 times and each time it has gotten better. The atmosphere is excellent.... Looking forward to returning many times in the future. Update: Last time I went here, the sat us downstairs with a piece of plywood for a table. Not cool. Also not going to keep me from returning, but definitely a one star knock back to 4. Plus the food was just a bit off from the norm. Maybe we go back to 5 some day in the future.

The service and food are both outstanding. I've been coming here for years and every time they never disappoint. Definitely try the lobster mac and cheese, scallops and duck breast. It's difficult not to come to Ocean every time we go out for dinner. It's that good!

My husband and I have eaten at Ocean many times, and it only gets better! Always something new and innovative on the menu. The calamari cannot be beat - always so fresh and flavorful. The seared scallops are the sweetest I have had anywhere, and the braised short ribs fall apart with the fork! Tried the new butternut squash lasagna on our last visit, and all the flavors just melded beautifully. Yum. We finished off our meal sharing the homemade apple/caramel cheesecake. Best ever. Chef Ryan and his staff are amazing, and the front of the house staff and owner always makes everyone feel special. Always an enjoyable evening.

Look, I hate to say it but being born and raised in the NYC area I am a bit stuck up when it comes to good food. My family has had a vacation home in the Poconos area for the last 26 years, and my experiences with high-rated restaurants have generally not been so... highly rated... THAT BEING SAID -- Ocean is simply (and due to past experiences at 5 star restaurants in PA, surprisingly) amazing. My fiance and I went here this past Saturday night. We got there at 530pm right before the crowd (when we left the entire restaurant was full) If you are planning on coming past 6, I'd make a reservation. The food: we started with the pork belly and truffle fries. Delicious! I am a sucker for truffles, and though I know unless you are spending $$$ most restaurants only use truffle oil and not shavings, they were very tasty. My only qualm was that we got a lot of fry bits instead of full fries, but the taste was great. The jalapeno biscuit and root beer pork belly were also extremely delicious. Entrees were the cod and the short ribs. The ribs were FANTASTIC and everything you'd ever want in slow cooked rib meat. The broiled (?) onions were delicious as well. I had the cod which was cooked perfectly and went well with the sweet plum glaze (yummy!) We finished with the creme brulee, which was a wonderful finish to an amazing meal. Vibe: I could have done without the pseudo-urban/city vibe... Sigur Ros-type muzak in the background, but alas, you win some you lose some. Staff was very polite and attentive, so no complaints there! Definitely will be coming back again soon!

Atmosphere and balance. The two are all but a lost cause in nearly any neck of the woods, let alone downtown on a side-street of Easton. Yet this is where you'll come across Ocean. The exterior alone exudes a certain level of class - quiet, unassuming, alluring. Ocean does not put on airs. Stepping in leaves you in a surprisingly spacious area, with a smaller dining area in the front and a larger one in the back. To your left stretches the bar - as well stocked and friendly as you'll find in any place. To your right a staircase beckons downward, where you'll find a spacious lounge rich in ambiance and comfortable decor(along with a private bar, should there be cause to open it). At all times there is a stream of music that enhances the mood without crashing in on it - a mix of jazz, ambient downtempo, and trip-hop that subtly turns a brief stop for drinks into one of those magical 'this is how bars are in the movies' experiences. The lighting is mellow and inviting, the decoration is tasteful and comfortable. Everything radiates class and professionalism, yet without a trace of any pretense or haughtiness. This is not a place where college-age fraternity boys knock back cheap beer and hoot at girls, nor a place of thumping bass and shouted conversations. It's not a place the reeks of stale air and fried food. It's not a place where lonely barflies wash up and anchor the mood, or young people on awkward dates check their phones while texting their friends about a miserable night. Nor is Ocean a place of stuffed shirts and dull conversations. It is a place that delights every sense - where a conversation can be struck up with anyone, where smiles are bright, eyes lock, and everyone seems just a little more beautiful - inside and out. The menu is not vast, but changes from time to time and appears influenced considerably by customer feedback. You'd be hard-pressed to find any item that wasn't an absolute delight - enjoying a full meal at Ocean leaves you with an experience on par with any elite restaurant. The food is not cheap, but it won't break your wallet - and it's worth every penny. The menu doesn't need to be voluminous to appeal to whatever you may enjoy, either, and they will happily prepare it to your liking. The drinks? What can I say - the bar is as well-stocked as you could hope for. The focus is not on the beer, though you can certainly get one of many brands available. Just don't expect to find that obscure IPA one of your friends has been going on about. But if you want a mixed drink that makes other bartenders scratch their head? Ocean is the place for you. Quality spirits mixed with perfection, innovative and exclusive drinks that will have you coming back for more, and again - prices that are honestly well-below what they could easily charge. This brings me to the service. The staff are to a one, polite, courteous, friendly, and professional. Beyond that, they are also very good at what they do - and they do it all with an attitude of people genuinely happy to be there and genuinely happy to see you there. The owner, Chip, is as charming a man as you'll meet - quick with a joke and likely to greet you by name with a firm handshake after only a couple visits. I would be remiss, however, in not mentioning an exceedingly bright star - not just at Ocean, but in the entire Lehigh Valley bar scene. If you have the pleasure of being taken care of by the bartender named 'Nuk', you are being treated to a special sort of thing you won't find anywhere in the region. Friendly, terribly witty, and incredibly skilled - Nuk will make the drink you want and he'll make it better than anyone else ever has. Can't decide? Talk to him and he'll make a suggestion that'll have you in love at first taste. I could rattle off many more names and leave glowing statements about them all, but suffice to say: you won't find a better team. All this comes together in a nuanced and wonderful dance of class and hospitality, food and drink, sound and smell, memories and magic. If you live anywhere near Easton, you owe it to yourself to give Ocean a shot.

As I was eating my entree I was deciding if this place was a 4 or a 5, but the dessert locked it in . Quant place on a cool little street of the village square with outside seating. Nice spot on a summer night. I had the Halibut which was served on a bed of quinoa and tomato caper sauce. It was a very healthy piece of fish, and very well prepared. Braised endive provided a nice texture and contrast. The desert was creme brulee and it was creamy, rich and had just the right vanilla flavor and char. Really good meal for $36.

A regular at all downtown restaurants and ocean is definitely in my top 3. Chip is the absolute definition of a concierge, willing to help or do anything to make your experience too notch. A class a schmoozer! The absolute best service EVER. Throw in Devin and Nook (Who makes the best martini in town) and its am amazing experience. I literally have everything on the menu multiple times and have yet to find something that disappoints me. Also they change the menu a couple times a year so it keeps it interesting. Clean, stylish, and the food is orgasmic. Steak- perfection. Seafood fresh and flavorful.

Ocean is amazingly awesome. The food and service were top notch. Our waitress was super knowledgable and when I asked her for menu recommendations she asked me questions first and then make superb recommendations which I ordered. She also told us their most popular items. We had great drinks ....I had the meatball app .... So delish. Hubby had the duck confit app .... So. Good. The red snapper was the best dinner I have had in a long time. Hubby had the halibut which was amazing. The owner came over to say hello and we complimented the great service and food. He was friendly, funny and nice. We will defiantly return.

My husband and I had date night here one night and really enjoyed the entire experience. The interior is very modern and trendy with dim lighting at night-perfect for a night out. We started out with some small plates and tried the truffled fries and the panko calamari-both of which were very good. We really enjoyed the trio of aoilis with the fries. Very unique. While dinner was also delicious (my husband had the braised short ribs and I had the salmon), the star of the show was dessert. We had chocolate chip cheesecake spring rolls with a berry coulis on the side for dipping. It was absolutely to die for!!! We still talk about it to this day!!

This places is spectacular a d never disappoints. The General Manager is on top of everything and the staff follow suit by being very attentive, friendly and interactive. We started with two appetizers. I had the rabbit pot pie which was amazing. It was somewhat deconstructed and was very flavorful. My friend had the calamari which is always a favorite here because it is lightly breaded and done to perfection. We both had the mushroom puree soup which had a great earthy flavor. I had the seared monkfish which was done to perfection with an artichoke puree and tomato vinaigrette which was amazing. The other entree was the short ribs which are smooth, succulent and tantalizing. The food here is top notch and never ever disappoints. It is also reasonable priced for what you are getting. If you have not been here, make a reservation and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

We just had a wonderful dinner. Nothing personal but I was never expecting a high quality seafood at Easton. But I was very wrong. The scallop and ahi was excellent. Presentation is unique and the way the food are prepared gives an extra high mark. This is a must go place in Easton. The staff is friendly and I love the place.
We stopped here for seafood and were pleasantly surprised. I had cod with plum sauce, Bok Choy and a potato ginger pancake. Quite yummy. My honey had the diver scallops. The taste was fabulous but the meal could have been served a little hotter. Mum had the salmon and loved every bite!

Hands down, the best meal I have had in my 4 years in the Lehigh Valley. My boyfriend and I had been meaning to head over to this area in Easton for a while, but then the Ocean groupon came out so we finally made the move. We had the groupon, so we decided to try EVERYTHING! We got the Truffle Pomme Frites, Tuna Tartar, Fried Calamari, Cognac Shrimp, the cheesy soup special, and the carmelized Diver Scallops. Whew, even saying all of that was exhausting. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION (except the rare tuna tartar, natch). The Diver Scallops were so unique with the Japanese preparations and the flavors were so light, blended and out of this world. The Tuna Tartar, was the most beautiful tuna presentation I have ever seen AND a huge portion. Sadly, no room for dessert. We will be back!

We were excited to try Ocean and Restaurant Week gave us incentive to finally go. We made reservations for Saturday the 25th, the last (original) night of the Week. After we were seated and given the regular menus we asked for the Restaurant Week ones and were told they weren't available for tonight, because they had opened the restaurant for the beginning of the week when they were normally closed and only did Restaurant Week for 5 nights. When I said the website didn't say that, they said it most surely did. (I just went back in and checked. The main Restaurant Week makes no note of that. The menu one can download from the Restaurant Week has no dates on it. The Ocean website says they will be extending Restaurant Week (due to inclement weather) for Tuesday and Wednesday. And that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Finally I clicked the link within the Ocean website for the Restaurant Week menu and there, and ONLY there, did it say "Sunday-Thursday, January 19-23, 2013" (it is 2014, but I'm thinking that is a typo) -- not really obvious folks; I'm not surprised that we were told we were not the only people who had "missed" the days). Oh, they were sorry, but "that's how they do it every year and next year we will know." Oh, we'll know all right. After explaining all this the manager gave us a $20 gift certificate to use the next time we came in, which was a nice gesture, and we put the issue behind us and proceeded to order off the regular menu. Granted we tried just three things, but our food was singularly disappointing: The lobster bisque was creamy, smooth, and delicately flavored...so delicately that I got just one or two faint hints of lobster in the entire bowl. It was not unpleasant but not quite there. The scallop BLT "small plate" was, a) definitely small, b) the scallops were undercooked (translucent most of the way through) and did not have the mildly sweet flavor I expect big, succulent scallops to have, and c.) I did not care for the combination of textured and flavors. The best part of the dish were the crispy potato (or sweet potato) chips around the scallops. To wrap up the meal I had the hot dark chocolate brownie topped with chocolate ice cream with chili and served with a drizzle of raspberry sauce -- if I remember the recitation correctly, which was good but not exceptional, and a cup of decaf, which was bitter and unpleasant even after dosed with 2 sugars and a generous dollop of cream and did nothing to enhance the brownie or the meal. On the plus side the staff were all nice and attentive. And the gift certificate? Well, maybe we can find someone to pass it along to. We won't be going back.

Originally from NYC, I feared the worst moving out here in terms of losing access to great dining. Ocean removed those fears with a wonderful menu and solid service. My fav so far has been their short ribs -- delicious!

Ocean is a quiet fancy restaurant in downtown Easton. They give you a nice little bread basket and have a great selection of fancy drinks. The menu seems to change a lot, so it's always exciting to see what they have. Most recently I enjoyed the homemade Gnocchi. The seafood has always been excellent, too.

I am a huge seafood fan, and I don't know how I've lived this close to Easton without knowing about this restaurant that apparently has been there for 7 years! My husband and I went for dinner last night, after I got a Groupon last month. The restaurant's atmosphere makes you feel like you're in Manhattan and the service was great. There was outdoor seating, but we came just as the sun was hitting the seats there, so we sat inside. I'm not a big drinker, but we were given a specialty drink menu, so both of us ordered something. He had the ginger twist, which was a nice take on a mojito, and I had the 5 o'clock tea, which was tea infused gin, honey simple syrup, and lemon juice - a very interesting combination, but was SO good. Tasted a bit like grapefruit juice. We shared the calamari appetizer, which came with a honey sriracha dipping sauce, and also something milder, that was creamier. I found that taking a little bit of each was a very pleasing taste - not too hot, but the sriracha sauce was not to be missed. As main courses, my husband had the scallops, which came in a beet sauce, and he cleaned his plate! Not one bit of food left. I ordered the ahi tuna, which was amazing. The fish was seared just right, and the sauce that the noodles were in was a new taste to me, but unbelievable. Everything complimented all of the flavors, and we agreed we would definitely be back. Sadly, we had no room for dessert, but we were told the options and also agreed that we would save room next time (somehow!). If you love seafood, this is a great place to go. They have half price bottles on wine on Tuesdays too!

Nights here bring back fond memories of my college experience which ended back in 2006. Ocean opened my last year at Lafayette and was a huge hit with the campus community. Before I graduated they were definitely more strict with the door only letting in 21+ so the experience was much more upscale, swank and older. I liked that. Since then the clientele has become younger and younger letting in 18+ but with bracelets to confirm the ages of those under 21. This changes the entire vibe of the space and turned it into a crazy college bar (dislike). However, Ocean gets 4 stars from me for it's delicious food, gourmet strong tasting cocktails, house music and swank decor. This bi-level space boasts a lounge area by the front door. Booth and regular tables in the back of the first floor and downstairs, I recommend this to older clientele on a night there isn't a college related party.

My wife and I go to Oceans often and it just keeps getting better. We had the meatball tapa and its to die for. The tuna tartar is a must and the best calamari in the area.

I came here on last minute plans with friends that invited me. I was not expecting to fall in love! We shared several appetizers and several drinks. Absolutely everything was delicious and well made. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the recipes are to die for! I will be back and I will bring loved ones!

I finally got to try this place out last night with my new beau! To start, the ambience is very trendy and upscale without being pretentious. It has a cool, laid back atmosphere that is just perfect for a romantic date. We had the Ocean Mac &Cheese, a take on lobster macaroni and cheese with orzo pasta. Simply delicious. We also had the scallop BLTs, two seared scallops that envelope a tasty piece of duck breast with tomato and lettuce. Oh! And the aioli! OMG! It was outstanding! Even the salad was good. We also had a chance to sample this beef meatball with a cheese fondue sauce that was one-bite you wouldn't want to miss. Very tasty! The drink menu was also very creative if you like to experiment with Thai chili in a tequila sunrise. Our entrees were amazing.... I had scallops over mushroom risotto and he had salmon. Both meals were prepared with care and were proportioned with enough food to feel more than satisfied. Lastly, dessert. Cheesecake egg rolls. Ocean has discovered the only way to improve the concept of cheesecake. Wrap it and fry it. Yum! Served with a berry sauce that you want to lick out of the dish! We actually ate the first order, then requested a second to devour! Overall, this place is great! Ocean is a must for any of the special people in your life: old friends, your parents, or a significant other that you actually don't mind spending time with. I'm eager to bring some of my friends from NJ over to this place to make up for some the less impressive experiences I've had with them around LV. I will definitely be back!

My daughter and I so enjoyed the meal. Yummy!!! The tapas plates with the pork belly and the crab cakes were excellent. The diver scallops were prepared perfectly. The service was very good, attentive, but not hovering. Looking forward to eating there again.

Four of us wandered into Ocean without a reservation at around 6:45 last Saturday night. Instead of laughing out loud, the manager graciously found a table for us. The mixed drink specials were innovative and proved to be satisfying. We ordered chips for the table, and they were the best I've had in a long time. Entrees (tuna, short rib, scallops, and some sort of a shrimp dish) were delicious. Service was great, despite the place being packed. We appreciated the consideration--felt the meal was terrific--so we will definitely be returning (with a reservation next time)

We love this place. We have eaten here many times and tried many dishes. One time the chips were a bit stale, other than that everything we have tried has been excellent. Very good service as well!

Friday evening we had our son's and daughter-in-law's wedding rehearsal party here. We can't say enough good things about Chip and his staff!!!!! The service was above par and the food was excellent!!!!! From the moment we stepped in the door until the end of the evening we were impressed with the service and friendliness. My husband and I would like to thank Chip for all his help in planning this event nothing was a problem and it made everyone's experience more enjoyable!!!!!! DO NOT HESITATE to try this restaurant you will return again and again!!!!! Thank you again for a memorable evening!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing food & great service! Our appetizers were the duck confit, pork belly, and chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, and our entrees were the ahi tuna and the duck and everything was absolutely delicious! We also had the apple cobbler dessert which was amazing!! We will definitely go back again.

I was pretty psyched to drive out to Easton to try this place out after reading all the good reviews, but unfortunately the dining experience let me down. It wasn't bad but I think "meh, I've experienced better" really sums it up. My wife and I visited on a Saturday night (6/9/12). We had reservations and were seated promptly when we arrived. The place seemed relatively empty for 7:45 on a Saturday with a few tables still open. The ambiance was ok although it was rather dark. Getting right to the point, the food was good but it was impossible to enjoy because it was so hot in the dining area. I was sweating while trying to eat. it was only in the high 70's or 80 degrees outside but it must have been at least 85 degrees where we were sitting and no air was moving at all. I work outside all day so I'm definitely not sensitive to heat. Hopefully their air conditioner was on the fritz or something but when I asked the hostess, she didn't seem like there was a problem or that it was out of the ordinary, although she was spending most of her time by the front door where there was a little breeze coming in from outside. If the temperature in the place was reasonable I think I would have given it 3 stars because the service was just ok and the sauces they gave were basically just mayo with a few spices. I don't know exactly what they were because the server would just come out, set the food on the table and walk away. We ordered all tapas so you would think they would give us at least a very brief synopsis of what we were about to eat. Anyway, I might try Ocean again sometime in the distant future but I live a bit over an hour away so it won't be anytime soon

Amazing! Just had dinner with my husband - ambiance excellent! - food excellent! - wait staff excellent! Can't say enough about the quality of food and the attention to detail we experienced tonight. Presentation was spot on and everything just went together so well. We had crab cake app, calamari app and arugala (sp) salad w/goat cheese & beet...for entree we had gnochii with duck....EVERYTHING was delicious! With glass of wine and martini - bill was around 93.00 w/tip. Not a bad price for a wonderful dinning experience! Chip, the owner was very personable - mingled with all the patrons, and made you feel very welcomed. PS...loved the Open Table option for making reservations.

AMAZING! The food and service were fantastic! We had the seared monkfish, scallops and ahi tuna, all were great. The brownie with cayanne pepper infused chocolate ice cream and strawberries is as unique as it is delicious! It is a must try!

I like this place and am happy to see that this is in the area. I grew up around Easton and the locals consider hot dogs gourmet food. I'm so happy that there is an influx of other people who are turning this area around a little bit. The place is decorated quite nicely and its a great date place. The waitstaff was attentive and i thought the food was very good. I will definitely go back

B and I left NYC for the weekend to visit friends in Easton and went out for dinner at Ocean on Saturday night. The food was fantastic. We went on the early side (since we were with their kids), but the place was still swanky and chic. Though other reviews mention this as having a bar scene and/or college clientele, we didn't experience it that way. Most patrons seemed 40+. Everyone loved their food. The ocean salad was a hit, as was the polenta cake with mushroom and pancetta (mental note: I am only making mushrooms with bacon from now - so good!) I also got the lamb tenderloin and it was fantastic. B's gnocchi with trumpet mushrooms was fantastic. Also heard great things about the cheesesteak toast and the goat cheese in phyllo. They have two menus: tapas and large plates. We ate off the tapas menu and each had two dishes, all were great. I understand Easton has a burgeoning restaurant scene, and this was definitely a great meal.

One of my absolute favorite places to eat. After a long week of work and craziness, it's nice to go somewhere close to home with a low-key atmosphere and sophisticated vibe. The manager usually comes out at least once to give us a recommendation, or let us know what any new additions have been. The food and drink is outstanding. Though the entrees are fabulous, my friend and I usually enjoy just going down the tapas list coupled with the wine list. We usually try most of the tapas, and one or two desserts. Though I like cocktails, wine is my first love. So we usually finish off three or four different vintages before the night is through. The wait staff is wonderful. This last time, we had someone who was still training. But the manager kept a close eye on him and the evening went off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Please note: for those of you on a budget, it can get a bit pricey.. But it's definitely worth it!

My wife and I enjoyed a great dinner here for our 5th anniversary. The restaurant itself is modernly decorated (check out the ceiling - makes you feel like you're under the ocean!) and on the smaller side, perfect for either an upscale or romantic dinner. We had the lobster mac & cheese and fried calamari for appetizers - both were amazing! For anyone who enjoys calamari - you won't be disappointed...perfectly breaded, fried and fresh, not rubbery! For dinner I had the monkfish and my wife had the plum seared cod - again, perfectly cooked and very full of flavor! I only wish the restaurant had more seafood entrees on the menu (but overall good balance when you include the appetizers too). Very good experience...we will return!

I've eaten here many times & also just went out for drinks. Both are great! My high school friend is a chief here & he's great at what he does. The food is always fresh & served in a timely manner. The food presentation is always amazing. It's a little hole in the wall gem in easton.

My husband and I tried Ocean on a whim last minute and traveled from Bethlehem to Easton. It was perfect. First, I can't say enough about the service. It was quite something. The owner of the restaurant was gracious and made sure our experience there was something to remember. We ordered the Blue Pointe Oysters (very fresh and very delicious). The other appetizer was Truffled Fries. They were accompanied by three gourmet sauces which exploded with flavor. We didn't leave even a little piece - it was that amazing. The entrees were even more amazing. My husband had a cod dish and I ordered the duck breast and seriously, we didn't talk for the next 20 minutes because we were too busy eating! For the final, we ordered one of the most amazing desserts I have ever tried. It was a brownie with strawberry sauce and pieces topped with a spicy Mexican chocolate ice cream with almonds.... We died and had gone to heaven. So, if you want an experience, try Ocean because it's that amazing. This is coming from a person who's lived in NY, LA, and San Francisco and other parts of the world.

Tired of our usual haunts, we decided to head over to Ocean as our dinner destination on Saturday evening. The inside is pleasantly modern, dimly lit and tastefully decorated with just a touch of chic. They also have a smart floor plan with abundant and comfortable seating to boost. I've read the Yelp reviews and heard a number of good things from others, but I still wasn't exactly sure what to expect of the food. Well, it's with unabashed fervor that I sing hymns to their diverse and creative menu. I wasn't expecting an actual tapas menu. Bonus! Here's the rundown in order of deliciousness: Gnocchi with Duck Confit - I'm not normally a duck fan but this heavenly dish would convert anyone! Chorizo Empanadas - Spicy, meaty and utterly yummy Lobster Mac & Cheese - Rich and comforting with a nice twist by using orzo Risotto - Solid, but not huge in flavor. The Kalamata olives were the prominent taste Crispy calamari - Not a huge success, a bit over-fried which made them a tad rubbery Food prices are surprisingly modest. Tapas run between $7 to $13 and entrees between $11 to $25. Tapas portions are also large and 2 dishes ought to satisfy most appetites. They have a phenomenal 4 course tasting menu for $40 and a five course for $45. Try finding that in the city! The only negative aspect was my dessert. I ordered the banana bread pudding with caramel ice cream. The latter was luscious but the bread pudding was utterly dry and way too dense. Tant pis!! There's an extensive and creative martini menu and a very solid beer list as well. Service was stellar. Our waitress, Devon, catered to our every need and want. New silverware, plates and drinks were constantly replenished. So despite some so so dishes and a definitely no no dessert, Ocean still gets a solid 4 stars from this insatiable yelper. Why? Because of their great service, great decor and the most insanely tasty gnocchi with duck confit. That dish is some serious good eats. Believe.

I haven't had the chance to eat here yet, but a friend and i were in the neighborhood on a Friday night (after a First Friday) and stopped by downstairs for a drink. Surprisingly, we had a really fun time! The music was great for dancing and the crowd was young and just out for a good time. I approve.

Went back recently using a Groupon...just as good as we remembered it. Yay!! Food was delicious--only problem was that the portions seemed so huge this time around that we were way too stuffed to even think about ordering dessert, despite the fact that they all sounded amazing. Next time...

I visited Ocean again when it was less crowded and I was less drunk. The standout tapas at my table were the Wild Mushroom toast, the Duck Confit quesadilla, the Lobster/asparagus soup, and the lobster/asparagus salad with the panko encusted egg. Yum. Also, I have had dreams about the phyllo wrapped goat cheese with honey. Great service and presentation!

I'm a bit of a foodie and sometimes a restaurant snob. Moving further away from New York City has put a damper on my going out so when the Mister asked for a date night to Ocean, I happily obliged. We called the day of for reservations and we are glad we did because the restaurant was packed upon arrival. It is really swanky with a nice cosmpolitan vibe with varied clientele (young, old, hipster, etc). We were seated near the bar next to a high top table with bar stools. I didn't really appreciate being a mere two or three feet from someone's arse while I was eating but I laughed it off. I was determined to "make it work" a la Tim Gunn. The chef/owner was seating patrons and walking around. He stopped by our table a few times which was nice. Our server was frosty at first...I take that she was quite overwhelmed...and she eventually warmed up over the course of the night. We had quite a few drinks and they were excellent. The Mister really enjoyed the Ginger Twist and I especially liked the North of South, which blended tequila and champagne nicely. We started with the beer steamed mussels, teriyaki glazed pork belly, and chicken liver terrine (yeah, yeah we are gluttons). I couldn't decide so we just went with all three! All the starters on the menu sounded delicious. The mussels were utterly delicious. I don't even eat pork and I was fighting for the last piece of the pork belly. The chicken liver was scrumptious. We were totally excited for the entrees. I choose the crispy skin chicken. The presentation was great and the taste matched it. I was enamored with the dish albeit it was a tad bit salty. Nonetheless I cleaned my plate with no shame. The Mister's carmelized diver scallops with udon noodles was fantastic. Huge flavorful scallops that were perfectly prepared. All in all, it was a great night out. I would totally recommend this establishment to others and next time my friends come to visit me in the boonies I would definitely take them here for drinks.

I finally got to try this place after many months of frequenting Sette Luna. The place has a very upscale, classy feel to it. We were quickly seated once we came in. I ordered a portobella sandwich off the menu. The sandwich was really tasty and came with a side of "ok" fries. The food wasn't too pricey and the service/waiter was hilarious. The waiter made us laugh at random times during our meal when we were talking about things. (best way to explain w/o getting complicated). Unfortunately I won't be in the area for a while, but I would def. go back.

I was recruiting at Lafayette College and stopped by here for dinner with a friend. Being from LA, I was pretty skeptical of restaurant offerings in Easton, PA... but I was pleasantly surprised! When you walk in, the ambiance and decor tricks you into thinking you're in LA again or a nice restaurant in Vegas... or even NY. The service is great, tasty offerings on the menu and good drinks! It's all a bit expensive, but worth it if you want have a nice dinner and find yourself in Easton. This place gets 5 stars because it's truly a gem!

It's become our favorite restaurant in Easton. A fun, edgy place with an eclectic and creative menu. Ordering off the Tapas part of the menu makes any meal a great experience. Don't miss the "Lobster Mac and Cheese." Also some of the best "Crispy Calamari" we've had anywhere. The staff are superb and, are not only on top of things, but go out of their way to make your experience great. They really know how to run a restaurant. Our waitress, Devon, made us feel like family without being intrusive. She's terrific.

Don't miss the scallp BLT-amazingly perfectly cooked and the duck bacon it comes with is YUMM! Thecalamari was also yummy, cooked perfectly and came with 2 delicious dipping sauces. THe lobster mac n cheese almost had no taste and was not delicious at all. Also, I was so excited about the Duck confit (leg) but it also had almost no taste and wasn't cooked right. I didn't like that at all. Service was outstanding but not overbearing. Place is small and really cute a little like being in NYC.

Jabbour J.
The first time I was here it was pretty good, everything was cooked well and well seasoned/flavored. However the second time around, it was not so good. Almost everything that I ordered was over cooked and lacking flavor, I don't know if I got lucky the first time or the cooks were just having a bad day. Anyway you can try it, but I don't waste my time with mediocre restaurants especially when you pay this much for it.

Wow Ocean! What a gem of a little place! It gives you hope for the restaurant renaissance that is currently occurring in Easton. Great music (sometimes even live!), theme nights, the service is seriously the BEST service I have ever experienced (think European where the server wants you be your friend kind of thing). Great food! Order the short rib and the cheese cake dumplings as a dessert! Positives Late dining menu Great "scene"...think meatpacking NY Awesome service Negatives No chocolate on the dessert menu (from one women to another!) haha

I'm not sure what all the rave is about. This by far is one of worst restaurants I've ever been to. Not only was the menu limited but every dish was "crispy' this and "crispy" that. Sorry, but I can make anything taste good if you drench it in oil and butter. The portions were small and the service was ok (Devin was our server). The wine list was also limited. Best part of the night was when they wrapped up my left overs (there was plenty bc it sucked) and forgot to give me the entire meal. Wow, I'm never going back. They're overpriced and they under perform.

I have friends in the Easton area who at the time knew the original chef (2006-2009)- and I really feel like this time period is when Ocean was in it's heyday. When I visited during these dates, the service was prompt and the food was superb-- everything was very inventive and exciting. The chef would come out to talk not just to us, but to every table, and the bartender would often check back not just to see if you needed another, but also if what they had made was to your liking. Going to Ocean was like going to meet your hip friends who really knew how to cook- therefore I didn't mind the 45 minute drive up. The last time I was at the restaurant, however, it was suddenly cramped and overflowing, people were literally out the door. We had had reservations for 7:30 p.m. and a party of 6 (a birthday gathering), but we were asked to wait, as the table before us was not yet ready to leave. The bar area was packed, and the restaurant does not have a waiting area, so our large party had to wait outside, in the murky drizzle. The bar cleared around 8 p.m., but the table had still not- so the manager asked us to please wait at the bar. Some people in the party ordered drinks, while I went and had a talk to the manager, who more or less said he could not/would not ask the party which was overstaying their welcome to leave, instead he offered to pay for a round of our drinks. We were finally sat at 9 (1.5 hours AFTER OUR RESERVATION). Needless to say, I was very unhappy with the level of service we received and had we not been such a large group I would have left Ocean after waiting for 30 minutes and never come back. We ate and made the best of our rather late meal: Crispy calamari - Not a huge success, a bit rubbery, but I guess that is what I get for ordering calamari late at night when the chef just wants to get home Lobster Mac & Cheese - Rich and comforting - who doesn't love a good Mac and Cheese, especially when Lobster is involved? Parmesan Crusted Halibut - DELICIOUS, as always, it is so tender and perfectly light- just a dream to eat! Also of note is the restaurant's signature drink: The Deep Blue Ocean Martini- it is dangerously easy to drink, heavy on the blueberry taste and really girly, but even the men like it! Also note that the bartender has no idea how to make vintage mixed drinks- I have tried both a Manhattan and a Old Fashioned here and both were vile. All in all- I would have to say I am about 25% likely to go back to Ocean since my last experience; had you asked me prior to the reservation-wait debacle, I would have said I recommend Ocean to the world! The Food is so good, but I feel like the service has gone severely downhill.

while the service and the food was excellent, the portion size was on the smaller side and the menu options were fewer than I would like.

Cool boutique decor with great wine selection, fabulous food, and amazing service. A definite must in the Lehigh Valley. Side note: best burgers in the valley

Without a doubt, THE best restaurant in downtown Easton. Food, service and atmosphere always first rate. The tuna tartare appetizer is a must and the scallops are Devine. Looking or ward to our next visit.

Really good food- the ocean burger was so delicious and well-seasoned, and the harvest chili was really good. Apps were tasty, and the service was attentive without being overbearing.

(4)

Would definitely go back.

always a very relaxed atmosphere whioch i really like. all of the small dishes we tried were excellent. i had the duck confite platter. great bread and pickled shallots accompanied the duck, which was lean but you know it was cooked in its own fat. hell yes. the pom frites are awesome as well, and they come with three dipping sauces.

I haven't been disappointed yet.

always a very relaxed atmosphere whioch i really like. all of the small dishes we tried were excellent. i had the duck confite platter. great bread and pickled shallots accompanied the duck, which was lean but you know it was cooked in its own fat. hell yes. the pom frites are awesome as well, and they come with three dipping sauces.

I'll start by saying WOW - what a GEM of a restaurant! I'm a Foodie, go to NYC a lot, and I'm well versed in all things food. I have to say that this restaurant totally exceeded my expectations! First, we were greeted by SUCH a pleasant woman - Devin, who turned out to be our waitress (we were early - 5:00 pm). Her attention to every detail, her knowledge of the menu, particular food pairings, and the chef's preparation of every dish, was SO refreshing and appreciated. True professional who is very passionate about her vocation - fantastic! Started with the octopus, which was SPECTACULAR. Very particular about my octopus, and this dish was off the charts great. Tender, with an AMAZING flavor profile. A very vibrant dish which I would eat twice each day if I could! Had a mussel special, which was awesome. Nice, CLEAN, large mussels in a beer broth with chorizo and tasty croutons - really a wonderful dish!!! Had 2 entrées - the scallops, and then the pappardelle with shrimp. Both of these - EXCELLENT. The scallops were diver scallops, PERFECTLY seared until caramelized, served over what I can only describe as CRAZY GOOD risotto!! Holy awesomeness...!!! The pappardelle with shrimp - EXCELLENT flavor profile and FANTASTIC! The shrimp were cooked PERFECTLY - most restaurants kill the shrimp to the point where they're not edible. Ocean NAILED this dish! Had the cobbler and the vanilla crème brûlée for desert - BOTH excellent!! Our waitress told us that they were prepared in-house by a young pastry chef who had graduated from a local culinary school. REALLY good, and appreciate the knowledge of staff credentials!! Other notable things. GREAT wine list and full bar. Small, but important detail - owner came over to introduce himself and chat for a few! He was very complimentary of his staff, and rightfully so. Service was EXCEPTIONAL!! Cutlery and dishes were SPOTLESS!! Special mention to our waitress Devin who helped guide us to a spectacular meal, and wonderful experience!!! VERY rare to find such a pleasant, knowledgeable professional - really wonderful...!! My only regret is that I wasn't able to physically eat anymore - because I wanted to taste SO many more items on the menu!! All the more reason to go back - and that is GUARANTEED!!

Amazing!!!!!!!! Great food and staff

Amazing food every visit!

The duck was perfect.

Cool boutique decor with great wine selection, fabulous food, and amazing service. A definite must in the Lehigh Valley. Side note: best burgers in the valley

(4)Hazem F.
The burger. The lobster mac and cheese. Everything is amazing at this place. The steak is just right. The service is good 95% of the time, I had a 1 bad service experience but the waitress is no longer there. The owner is also very accommodating.
(5)Vanessa M.
(4)Jackie T.

(5)Cynthia F.
5* food but I can't give them the 5th star because the service was so slow the one time we visited. The "Ocean salad" was OK but I didn't care for their dressing; my favorite part of this salad was their gorgonzola cheese. The highlight of my meal was the seared ahi tuna entrée; very gourmet and spicier than I expected, with unexpected flavors--delicious Mediterranean-style quinoa salad; spicy humus, tangy cucumber salad; both the tuna and the toasted pita points were rubbed with interesting spices. I highly recommend this entrée. We ate outdoors where it seemed a lot quieter than indoors.
(4)Julio R.
Friendly staff very chill relax environment and dim lighting. The drinks are strong and although they are names ocean and have a good amount of seafood their burger is phenomenal.
(4)Aaron T.

(5)Jessica E.

(5)Heather N.

Cheeburger.

Place was awesome--had the Salmon and it was perfectly prepared--thank you to the staff and a big shout out to "chip" and Devin --made our day special--service was a ten

(5)Teresa E.
Came to Easton from Jersey City to visit my best friend and was recommended this location. It did not disappoint. We loved each small plate we ordered and the pomegranate martini was to die for. The bartender was so friendly as well as the owner. Competes with meals I have gotten in NYC right in Easton
(5)Susan J.

(4)N G.
(5)Brittany B.
(5)Karen W.
I have been here many times and it is always a good time. The bartenders make excellent drinks and the food is high quality. I don't think I have ever left disapointed. They have now remodeled the basement and have a full bar and additional seating down there for a more casual laid back dining experience. The diver scallops with bacon risotto is to die for. The chocolate creme brûlée is melt in your mouth delicious. Chip, the manager is a wonderful people person. He gets to know the regulars and makes sure that everyone who dines at Ocean is happy. Friendly and knowledgeable servers and overall great atmosphere.
(5)Laura P.
Must try!
(5)Yvonne K.
(5)Scott M.
(4)Samantha G.
(5)Rex W.
(5)David V.
My girlfriend and I went to this wonderful place last Saturday but had no idea what to expect. We had reservations for 8 pm and were promptly seated when we arrived. It took a few minutes for a server to acknowledge us but it was extremely busy. We ordered the homemade meatball appetizer that was excellent. For the main course I ordered the boneless braised short ribs and my girlfriend ordered the caramelized diver scallops. OMG! I thought I died and went to food heaven! The combination of the short ribs, puréed potatoes, onions and balsamic glaze were the PERFECT combination! My girlfriend and I switched plates and I was just as impressed with the scallops and risotto. Who'd have thought this little restaurant in Downtown Easton could turn out this kind of food? What made it even better that we had a Groupon. Even without it, it would have been well worth the cost. I'm sure that we will return to this fantastic place again!
(5)Jesse M.
(3)A. H.
Quality is never lacking at Ocean, I can't wait to go back
(5)Adam B.
(4)Megan P.
The service and food are both outstanding. I've been coming here for years and every time they never disappoint. Definitely try the lobster mac and cheese, scallops and duck breast. It's difficult not to come to Ocean every time we go out for dinner. It's that good!
(5)Pat K.

Good food and you can make a reservation!

I went to this place with my family, it was a hidden treasure at that "almost dead" Easton town. This restaurant have a beautiful décor, it's hip and trendy. And family friendly also, we sat at the huge round booth while my sons were enjoying their oceanic lighting atmosphere. Their staffs were friendly, and having excellent knowledge about each food they have in the menu. Our food came at the right time, My husband love his scallop and ahi, I had Crispy Salmon, my sons had mac and cheese lobster and Caramelize diver scallop. Everything were excellent it was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Absolutely will came back there to have a nice dinner with my family sometimes, because we love the place.
(5)Fiona A.

(4)Erin D.
(5)Kate B.

(5)Caleigh E.

(5)Diane J.
My daughter and I so enjoyed the meal. Yummy!!! The tapas plates with the pork belly and the crab cakes were excellent. The diver scallops were prepared perfectly. The service was very good, attentive, but not hovering. Looking forward to eating there again.
(5)Paul D.
We appreciated the consideration--felt the meal was terrific--so we will definitely be returning (with a reservation next time)
(5)Diana P.
We love this place. We have eaten here many times and tried many dishes. One time the chips were a bit stale, other than that everything we have tried has been excellent. Very good service as well!
(5)Pam Y.
(5)Alex G.
Great atmosphere. Appropriately priced high-quality food.
(4)Halsie S.
(5)Michelle M.
Outstanding service and the food was incredible. Definitiely going back!
(4)Tom M.
Without a doubt, THE best restaurant in downtown Easton. Food, service and atmosphere always first rate. The tuna tartare appetizer is a must and the scallops are Devine. Looking or ward to our next visit.
(5)Kay J.
Great restaurant!! Food was well made and original, for a change! A little pricey but well worth it!! Best calamari I've had in PA!
(5)Ben D.

(5)Matt H.
Really good food- the ocean burger was so delicious and well-seasoned, and the harvest chili was really good. Apps were tasty, and the service was attentive without being overbearing.
(5)JoAnne M.
AMAZING! The food and service were fantastic! We had the seared monkfish, scallops and ahi tuna, all were great. The brownie with cayanne pepper infused chocolate ice cream and strawberries is as unique as it is delicious! It is a must try!
(5)Kelly C.
I will definitely go back
(4)Katie Z.
(4)Michele r.
The best meal I have had in Easton in a beautiful atmosphere.
(5)Melissa N.
(5)Anthony P.
(5)Nicole B.
I've eaten here many times & also just went out for drinks. Both are great! My high school friend is a chief here & he's great at what he does. The food is always fresh & served in a timely manner. The food presentation is always amazing. It's a little hole in the wall gem in easton.
(5)Katherine K.

I approve.
(4)mary a.
Went back recently using a Groupon...just as good as we remembered it. Yay!! Food was delicious--only problem was that the portions seemed so huge this time around that we were way too stuffed to even think about ordering dessert, despite the fact that they all sounded amazing. Next time...
(5)Laura K.
(4)Rob T.
Excellent atmosphere! Great food, nice martinis! Strong ones!! You must have the duck! One of the best I ever had!
(5)Aliah D.
(4)Allen B.
This place has a pretty good menu and atmosphere. I've been here on 2 occasions and both times have been good. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in or live in the area.
(4)Brian L.
Unfortunately I won't be in the area for a while, but I would def. go back.
(4)Lisa D.
(5)Jim D.
(5)Rebecca g.
(4)Jabbour J.
(3)Kat H.
(5)Ora R.
(1)Melissa B.
The food was great. However, the service and personal attention were incredible. A must is the Bloody Mary!!!
(4)Elizabeth Z.

Amazing food every visit!

The duck was perfect.

Amazing!!!!!!!! Great food and staff

Cool boutique decor with great wine selection, fabulous food, and amazing service. A definite must in the Lehigh Valley. Side note: best burgers in the valley

(4)Hazem F.
The burger. The lobster mac and cheese. Everything is amazing at this place. The steak is just right. The service is good 95% of the time, I had a 1 bad service experience but the waitress is no longer there. The owner is also very accommodating.
(5)Vanessa M.
(4)Jackie T.
(2)Laureen H.
(5)Courtney B.

(4)Aaron T.

(5)Heather N.

Cheeburger.

Place was awesome--had the Salmon and it was perfectly prepared--thank you to the staff and a big shout out to "chip" and Devin --made our day special--service was a ten

(5)Susan J.

(4)N G.
(5)Brittany B.
(5)Laura P.
Must try!
(5)Yvonne K.
(5)Scott M.
(4)Samantha G.
(5)Rex W.
(5)Jesse M.
(3)A. H.
Quality is never lacking at Ocean, I can't wait to go back
(5)Adam B.
(4)Megan P.
The service and food are both outstanding. I've been coming here for years and every time they never disappoint. Definitely try the lobster mac and cheese, scallops and duck breast. It's difficult not to come to Ocean every time we go out for dinner. It's that good!
(5)Pat K.

(5)Fiona A.

(4)Erin D.

(5)Caleigh E.

(5)Diane J.
My daughter and I so enjoyed the meal. Yummy!!! The tapas plates with the pork belly and the crab cakes were excellent. The diver scallops were prepared perfectly. The service was very good, attentive, but not hovering. Looking forward to eating there again.
(5)Paul D.
We appreciated the consideration--felt the meal was terrific--so we will definitely be returning (with a reservation next time)
(5)Diana P.
We love this place. We have eaten here many times and tried many dishes. One time the chips were a bit stale, other than that everything we have tried has been excellent. Very good service as well!
(5)Pam Y.
(5)Alex G.
Great atmosphere. Appropriately priced high-quality food.
(4)Halsie S.

(5)Kelly C.
I will definitely go back
(4)Katie Z.
(4)Michele r.
The best meal I have had in Easton in a beautiful atmosphere.
(5)Melissa N.
(5)Anthony P.

I approve.
(4)mary a.
Went back recently using a Groupon...just as good as we remembered it. Yay!! Food was delicious--only problem was that the portions seemed so huge this time around that we were way too stuffed to even think about ordering dessert, despite the fact that they all sounded amazing. Next time...
(5)Laura K.
(4)Rob T.
Excellent atmosphere! Great food, nice martinis! Strong ones!! You must have the duck! One of the best I ever had!

(4)Allen B.
This place has a pretty good menu and atmosphere. I've been here on 2 occasions and both times have been good. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in or live in the area.
(4)Brian L.
Unfortunately I won't be in the area for a while, but I would def. go back.
(4)Lisa D.
(5)Jim D.
(5)Rebecca g.
(4)Jabbour J.
(3)Kat H.

The food was great. However, the service and personal attention were incredible. A must is the Bloody Mary!!!

Lamb tenderloin with bottle of Mark West did it for me! Very cool.
