I had Blackberry ice cream in a waffle cone for $4.53; great value. Down the road is a national soft serve ice cream place, drive past that place and come have the real deal!

Came here in the dead of winter and tried the "Blueberry Pancakes" ice-cream (a special, seasonal offering). very good - and they claim to make the ice cream onsite. The decor is cute but very dusty - place could use a good cleaning - especially the display case in the front with the ice cream cakes. Interesting nostalgia swag on the walls - but again - DUSTY. Please clean!

Awesome home made ice cream. The real deal. Friendly staff too and great selection. If you want incredible home made stuff, this is the place to go. You will be happy you came here rather than some of the national chains.

Really glad to find a homemade ice cream place. Very friendly service. Delicious ice cream, generous portion. Tons of fun, old posters and bric-a-brac on the wall.

Like the other reviewer's have said its a small independent store. When you first walk in it seems like a quaint classic ice cream parlor but the two times that we have gone there are two female employees who basically stand behind the counter and are interested in any interaction with customers. Also it is as quiet as a library. The ice cream was good not great. I was really hoping for a lot more. We may try it again but we won't go out of our way to go there.

Best ice cream around. We used to live near Aston and went here all the time. Now that we have moved our kids still ask to make trips for ice cream. Has a great old time parlor feel and really good ice cream. Kids love this place!

The smallest scoop of ice cream was $3.70. The servicing size is huge, more like 4 scoops total so it's definitely generous. I had the cookie dough which was really good. I can tell it's not as sweet as other ice cream brands but I actually prefer that. Would definitely come back

I consider myself somewhat of an ice cream connoisseur and I have to tell you this is some of the freshest, best tasting ice cream I have ever had. Me and my family moved to the area 15 years ago and was told I have to try this place. We have been loving it ever since. Even though we have moved out of the area, I have to come back for the ice cream. I also have to had the the owner and other staff are super friendly and accomodating. You get a really good feeling just when you step in the door. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to all!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The ice cream was good and the girls working were very friendly. My only complaint would be that they don't take credit cards. I just don't carry cash anymore!

Very nice place. Homemade ice cream isn't as sweet or sugar-laden as the mass-produced products, so it was a tasty and refreshing change. Several homemade flavors... definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Say "hi" to Al and ask him anything about the ice cream.

Ok...so I really wanted to LOVE this place. Aston is filled with chain ice cream and water ice places so the fact that Just Ice Cream makes all their ice cream homemade and they are independent, I was freaking excited to go here. Especially because in all the years I've lived in the area, I've driven past this as it gets lost in the strip mall ( because Pennell Road doesn't lack strip malls!) So my dad and I went there for a after dinner treat and when we walked in, two bored girls behind the counter just barely acknowledged us. When I looked in the ice cream cooler, none of the tubs were labeled. So after asking the girl about 4 different flavors, I just took the peanut butter she mentioned because I didn't want to keep asking, Dad got chocolate chip. Only after we paid and sat down, I noticed they list the flavors of the day on the back wall. That doesn't help at all when there are 15 some flavors and you can't tell what they are. Also doesn't help that the girl at the counter never once told us where the flavors were listed. My peanut butter was blah but then again I'm not a super fan of peanut butter ice cream, I wish I would have known about the irish potato flavor before I paid. My dad though Bryers makes a better chocolate chip. I want to go here again in the future, try a different flavor and hopefully become a fan.

When I saw homemade ice cream I had to give it a chance, I had a banana split and it was mediocre. The ice cream was good not great, Just good enough to satisfy any ice cream craving.

The ice cream was fine, I certainly wasn't blown away by it. The worker, (owner?) who was very nice, got my toppings wrong because he wasn't paying attention, he was talking to another customer. With that said, it was a nice little ice cream shop atmosphere buried in the heart of one of the many strip malls along 452.

This ice cream is simply A-mazing!! No fillers, no preservatives - made the old fashioned way. Nice and creamyyyy. An abundance of very unique flavors made by the owner himself. Places like this are not common any longer! The owner is there quite often and is extremely friendly. Too bad the first reviewer had a bad experience...I guess stuff happens. Check out the other reviews on Citysearch and Google reviews...all 5 stars!! Very good and you don't even have to drive to Penn State's main campus!!! (a reference to the second review - seriously??) Cash only establishment (just a warning)

Great homemade ice cream... the best we've had in Delco so far! Good variety of flavors; a few creative and fun ones each time we've visited as well. They make ice cream cakes too and the wait staff is very friendly, especially the owner. Four stars since I can't give it 4.5, and I am reserving 5 stars for the Creamery at Penn State (tough act to follow...then again, I am surely being unfairly biased!). Worth a trip or two or three or four... :-)
