The breakfast here is probably the best in town. The service is usually good, and the food is always tasty. The French Toast is my favorite thing on the menu, and the bacon here is the best. I haven't had lunch here, but I would like too. The people that I know that have had it said it was pretty good.

I had been here once before for lunch, I don't remember what I had or how it was which leads me to believe it was average. Not good, not bad. BUT I came here a few days ago for breakfast and it was TERRIBLE. Which is really sad, it's local, it's Italian (or run by Italian's), I have a few family connections to this place, and it's cheap which are all reasons why I would want to love it. But I can't. I ordered the veggie omelet with a side of sausage links and rye toast. The menu makes it a point to say "all omelets come with tons of hot, bubbly, cheese". Let me tell you about my omelet. The hot bubbly cheese was a Kraft single laid on top. (still square shape, AT LEAST strip it or something). I'm pretty sure the tomatoes were on the verge of being rotten, they seriously tasted like metal, and there was HAM all over it. Yup. Their veggie omelets come with ham. When we brought it up we were told "it's probably just ham left over on the griddle from the previous omelet". Oh whatever. My sausage links came in the form of patties and my rye toast came in the form of wheat. The omelet wasn't even good taking all other ingredients into consideration. I doused it with probably a pound of ketchup. My cousins omelet promised to come with "fresh sauteed mushrooms", in actuality it came with mushrooms from a can that were warmed up with the eggs. Which then in turn got all pushed to the side of her plate. My other cousin had biscuits and gravy which he said were good, but how can you really mess that up? Fortunately, we only came here cause Tom & Joe's was closed so hopefully we are never forced into this appetite suppressing breakfast again. Oh, wait I forgot to mention one of the workers was sitting across from us in a booth just talking away on her cell phone, while another one was covered in piercings. To each their own but not when you're trying to be a legit restaurant. At least try to be semi-professional.

Good food--omellette and sandwich at decent prices. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but what killed it for us was the mopping of the floors near us at 1:30pm. The smell of the cleaning chemicals(ammonia?) was not conducive to eating. Granted--I'm glad they want to keep the place clean, but we felt it was a wee bit early to be doing so on a Saturday.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
