Excellent food choices for everyone . Service is awesome . Very clean and Friendly. Better options for entire family than other restaurants in the area. Gluten free and some vegetarian options. Breakfast all day.

I had such a horrible experience here that I left without eating a thing. Everything about my experience was bad. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. When we first entered this place, we were ignored for a good time. Finally we were noticed and shown to our seats. I'm not sure what was up with our server, but she completely forgot customer service...and how to hear. Our party was only three people, she was able to get their orders right, but not mine. I'm not sure what she heard, but instead of a pot roast sandwich with mashed potatoes I received a burger with mushrooms on it (not a fan of mushrooms here). I was going to attempt to eat the fries, but when I asked for ketchup, I received mustard. Fed up at this point, I let the server know my order was wrong. She tried to correct the problem, but I was in no mood to wait for my food. Especially after the rest of my party had finished their food. If in Altoona, go somewhere else, this small PA chain just doesn't cut it here.

This Kings is much better than the one by Mansion Park, it's cleaner and the service is much better. The food is okay.

This place is the locals' hangout of choice in good ole' Altoona, PA. They totally embrace the supporting the local restaurant (chains, natch) and all that (of course, all while shopping at the 24-hour Super Walmart). Breakfast and lunch find this place packed to the gills. And it's not bad, but I don't know... maybe the hater in me is more of a fan of the chains... like Perkin's. It's just that this place serves greasier food and soggier pancakes - and soggy pancakes is always a no go in my book. But of course that didn't stop me from polishing off my egg and sausage bagel sandwich (complete with 2 hash brown patties), and then proceeding to help my mother clean off her veggie egg scramble, English muffin, oh, and her cheesy hash brown casserole. Let's just say, I skipped lunch that day.
