Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I have been wanting to take my wife to a Chipotle's for some time. Well, they opened this one in her hometown. So, we went on our anniversary and she loved it! Great food and we had a somewhat private booth to chat, eat and reminisce about our years together.

I love any chipotle and what they stand for. The one thing that stinks is they're always busy and when they're busy, there's no standing room. Great food though.

Best chipotle location! They are always consistent and it's always very tastey!! We have been to a variety of chipotles and this one is the best!

The tacos are great. It is pricier than Taco Bell, but it's worth it. The food tastes better, and it's fresher. This is like the Subway of Mexican foods, with the ways you can customize your food.

This Chipotle was really good with large portions. Chipotle is a good cheap meal that is filling so no wonder there is always a line. Chipotle is probably Altoona's best restaurant and you don't even have to tip!

I could eat Chipotle veg burritos every day. Complete meal right in your hands! This place turned me into a fan of guac. I love their guac! As a vegan, my only small gripe is that when they are in a hurry, which they usually are, they throw everything around so fast that some ingredients can get mixed with others. For example, the cheese ends up in the guac as it's right beside it. Their chips are very salty, but still very delicious. The staff is always very friendly and on the rare occasion we've had a problem, they make it right. A very simple concept and a very affordable, filling meal!

Everyone I talk to says that I have to try Chipotle. So when I took a little motorcycle trip down to Altoona I thought I would stop by and see if they could live up to the hype. I ended up visiting around early dinner time and had a chicken burrito. While the food was good and filling it was expecting a bit more. The menu is very straight forward and was very no nonsense. I was expecting a little bit more. If they threw in a few chips with every meal or something I would be a little happier. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the eating area. There were only about 6 people eating when I came in and about 4 or 5 people behind the counter. None of the people behind the counter had enough time to come out and wipe down any of the tables. I would say that 90% of the seating areas had some degree of food remains on them. I don't think I would return to Chiplotles when there are so many other great eateries in the area. I could just be my taste, but in my opinion it didn't live up to all the hype.

This place makes their chicken way spicier than any other Chipolte I've eaten at, other meats seem to be the same way as well. Biggest complaint about this location. Also the manager (I'm assuming) just seems to rub me the wrong way every time I've been there. I'll probably eat here again next time I'm in town anyways, since Altoona doesn't exactly have the best selection of places to eat.

Great food and people. They actually cater, so we did that for graduation and it was amazing(and simple)

This Chipotle did not meet the standards of the other Chipotles that I have eaten at. Poor service and average quality food. If this is the only one you have tried, don't let this particular restaurant spoil you from trying others. Maybe because it is relatively new, they haven't worked out all the bugs. Over staffing is just one of the problems they need to work on.

I like the burritos a lot. The seating area is a little strange the way it is laid out. But, overall it's a nice place to get a good burrito that isn't fast food. Yet you do get your food quick.

Besides the food, what draws me back to Chipotle Altoona is the service. Every time I've been in here, the staff seems genuinely happy to be there. They're professional yet friendly, with each other and with customers. I can't think of any place in town where I can get lunch for under $10 that fast in a place where I feel welcome. Oh and portion sizes are so big, you can take home half and get TWO lunches for $10. Chipotle might be a chain but this location has a staff that sets it apart. It is slightly noisy (a matter of acoustics only) and seating is limited to four-person tables max. Otherwise a great place for a casual, fresh, healthful, inexpensive lunch.

I've been here a couple of times now and in both visits I've found the service to be exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food is great! I like things spicy, so the steak burrito with hot everything was enough to make my nose run for about ten minutes after I finished eating, which made me very happy. The only thing that could be better would be the chips. They're much like store bought and I would rather have freshly made chips, but hey...it is fast food.

I like to think of myself as a bit of a Chipotle connoisseur... I eat there 3+ times a week and refuse to travel anywhere that doesn't have them!!! (ok, ok... I was kidding on the refusal to travel part) Anyways, I was so excited to find out they opened one near where my parents live. I came home for a visit and promptly drove myself to the newly opened Chipotle and was ready to be bloooown away. The service line was full of people. I have never seen it take so many people to make a damn burrito before. They seriously have 4 people back there PLUS a cashier. You'd think with having so many people, maybe they would take some extra time to be relatively personable. Nope. They pushed everyone through like cattle. They even tried to make me get my own drink out of the cooler. I didn't want a conversation, really, but I atleast expected to get what I asked for. They try to get away with giving you pitiful portions of everything and if you ask for more, then they try to ignore you. The food was good, don't get me wrong. The quality was there... but the quantity you come to expect at Chipotle surely wasn't. I'm sure I will go back... I can't go too long without their delicious crack laced food. But atleast next time I will know to have to specify extra on everything.
