We drove by this place by accident and decided to check it out. Since it was freezing out, it would be a good idea to have some soup. This is a review for the soups only. Zoup offers you to sample all of their soups. I tried New England Clam Chowder and Tomato Spinach & Brown Rice, and they both tasted amazing, but not so much for the Lobster and Crab Bisque though. They just tasted different. This place would be great for lunchtime. The combo of side soup and half sandwich is only $7.50. Great atmosphere.

Overrated soup and tiny, pretentious sandwiches. If Panera is too crowded, and you don't mind spending more money, this is an acceptable alternative.

My first trip to Zoup was both good and not so good. First, the black bean soup was really great. Great flavor and it came with a great little sourdough roll. On the other hand, the hummus and veggies sandwich (which was really a wrap) was not that great. I mean, it wasn't bad, but just a very normal sandwich. Maybe next time I'd try a different sandwich option. Although the wrap seemed fine, others I was with complained that their half-sandwich was on the smaller side. I would go back, just because I enjoyed the soup.

I can't imagine what a weekday around lunch must look like at this place. But fortunately, I'm not an idiot so I'll choose to go at other times and leave the weekday stuff to all the sheeple. With that out of the way, a few points of knowledge. - You can order on line and they will have your order waiting for you if you are short on time. - If you order on line they do NOT list all of the soups that they are offering that day so if you are interested in something but don't see it, give them a call to find out their full menu. - They are really, really expensive. A full sandwich along with a cup of soup that is barely larger then a shot glass (they offer multiple sizes) will set you back over $11. - If you go on the weekends they along with Firehouse next door keep shorter hours as they are mostly deserted all day long. I was there today and obviously since no one else was ordering at the time things were super fast. I was reminded by the staff several times that you can sample anything you want before you buy and they were both cordial and hospitable. Because I like soup I really wanted to like Zoup but their prices are really prohibitive to making that happen. The corn and roasted red pepper chowder was good, but not anywhere near THAT good and while they do offer some sort of dorky punch card, you still would need to spend a ton of cash to get any kind of payoff from it. Service = 3 stars Flavor = 4 stars Cleanliness = 4 stars Price= 1 star Chance I'll be back soon = no stars

So the Meditteranean vegetable sandwich I ordered was actually a Garden vegetable sandwich. I've never seen a Meditteranean sandwich served cold. The big redemption was in the 'seven waves of grain' soup. Hearty and very hot. Great job on the samples that saved me from a sweet stew as a terrible choice. Zoup is just like Panera.

I hadn't been to Zoup for quite some time but I've been craving their lobster bisque so today I went the extra miles to pick some up for dinner. Big mistake! It was nothing like I remembered - the richest, tastiest, thickest bisque chock full of big chunks of sweet lobster in every single spoonful....... Today the consistency was much thinner with way less lobster meat, just like you get everywhere else. Even their sour dough rolls had been down-sized! I won't waste the gas again.

Soup is good. Service is slow and the last time I ordered take out for lunch they didn't put my sandwich in the bag. I called several times only to get the answering machine everytime so I left a message explaining what happened, 2 months later and no return call from management.

Wow! Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Eager to please you. They offer samples. One soup is better than the next. Who knew soup could taste this good. Not overly hot. Just good soup. Fair value. I would travel to find this place. Keep up the good work. I'll be back...

It's a couple of dollars more expensive than what it should be for a cup/bowl of soup, but the soup is great, as is the variety, so I'll let it fly.

Sparkling clean, and the soups are rather swell, The best value is to purchase a Take Two, half sandwich, and a side of soup, otherwise, a tad pricey for simply a cup at like, gee, $4.50. The wild rice with chicken is excellent .

Free Samples of the 12 soups that change daily. Service was quick. I had the Shrimp & Crawfish Etouffee in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. There were nice pieces of shrimp and crawfish in my soup and seasoned perfectly. I did also sample the lobster bisque which was delicious and had a very rich and creamy texture.

Crowded. Hot. Salads are horrible. Sandwiches are okay. Soup is only thing saving this place.

I LOVE the soup here. Seriously, love. Always trying to con co-workers into to going with me to use a BOGO coupon. Can't speak to any other items like sandwiches or salads, but have never, ever been disappointed in the soup. Really reasonable prices (there's always a coupon online, do NOT pay full price!) and a bowl of soup + the bread or ciabatta that comes with makes a great lunch. They do not pull punches on the spices/flavorings, so if it says "zesty" or "spicy", disregard at your peril. Had a "zesty" crab soup that was a little too much for me, but I can't say they didn't warn me. We only go there for lunch and it's always chaos, I really recommend ordering online. Staff always polite. If I have any complaints, it can be hard to get a table during heavy lunch times and it's always unusually cold in there.

First time here. Great warm up after Christmas shopping on a cold day of shopping. Nice selection of soup. Sandwiches to complicate to decide. Had the crab and she had the pot pie. Both good but not great. Will be back!

Zoup is a quiet alternative to Panera bread at a slightly higher price. They have a hearty amount of soup choices and also offer salad/sandwich/soup combinations. Quality and amount of food you get is very similar to Panera, but at a price that I will probably not return. $8 for a half sandwich and a "side" of soup. It did its job by filling me up, but nothing special.

Since this establishment was built the service has increased dramatically. They are still not fully efficient but now when I go on lunch break, it takes less than 10 minutes to get my food. Great variety of soups, and they give free samples!

Went to zoup today for lunch. Amazing service - girls behind the counter were friendly and attentive. Food was yummy. Had the Indian lentil soup and Greek salad - only thing I could ask for is to post the calories on the menu board. It is listed on the website but having it in the menu board would be super helpful.

Awful. I ate a quarter of my soup and threw it out. I've never had tomato soup so salty. Gross.

Seems we are seeing a new trend. High end fast food. Higher prices and marketing to make you perceive you are getting a better product. Soup has been a staple of generations of poor. Now at Zoup you are to believe that soup has somehow become an exotic food. Soup is good but not that good as others have said. This place is overpriced. I may go back if and when I have money to throw away. Till then I will look for fair prices.

This was our first trip to this location. We've been to other locations that we really enjoy, but this one isn't it. The food was good, but.... The crew was inattentive. While in the process of asking for a sample, the guy started talking to someone else (crew) about non work related stuff. I ordered a whole sandwich and my wife ordered no sandwich. They split my full sandwich on to mine and my wife's plate. I've heard about chivalry being dead, but what about courtesy? I'm not going to this location again.

I had the same experience as Larry...slow service. I politely pointed this out in an online survey (i had ordered online) and they sent me a nice email and a coupon to use on my next visit. The food was ok. Gumbo was good...although a bit salty for my taste. Sonoma salad was very good. Given a choice between Panera and Zoups, I'd pick Panera every time.

Zoup! / you have changed, and won me over! It is one year later and I gave Zoup! another shot. First off, staff were friendly and attentive, they offered samples to those entering the line, and they used my name when completing the interaction (that's always a huge bonus point item for me). I chose the Chicken-Sausage Gumbo; the smell drew me in as I entered the door; it was the right choice, amazing flavor! I'm a harsh gumbo critic with lots of New Orleans experience and this one impressed. It's very meat-heavy with a rich roux; I know some would prefer more vegetables, but I enjoy the heartier gumbos like this one. The bread that accompanied the soup was fresh; completely unlike my last review where I was served a stale brick. I like that they offer different options for the bread as well. The berry mozzarella salad was also good; the mozzarella taste gets lost in the salad, but none-the-less it was appetizing. I arrived close to closing and didn't expect all of the foods to be as fresh and inviting as they were. The restaurant was clean and the soups were filled. I honestly can't wait to come back with a friend. I sampled the Lobster bisque and can't wait to get a full bowl. I'm glad my high hopes for this place has been restored! Thank you!
