The food was pretty good but its in a really shitty area. The prices were great too.

This place is horrendous. I didn't grow up in Allentown so I am not buying into whatever koolaid you all are drinking. This was THE WORST hot dog I have ever eaten in my life!!!

On a rare occasion when I decide to eat hot dogs I will go here. But, I usually try to eat healthy, organic foods. In addition to the hot dogs, I like their cheeseburgers.

Yocco's is an truly old-fashioned hot dog joint. There are a few branches of this iconic institution around the Lehigh Valley but the original one is on Liberty Street a few blocks north of Center City Allentown. I think it was started in 1922 by Lee Iacocco's uncle - the name Yocco is a Pennsylvania German mis-pronunciation of this Italian name. The hot dog itself is wonderful - best with cheese. Folks, it's the special chili meat sauce they add to it that makes it so tasty. And you can take a large amount of this special sauce home with you for three bucks. Do it ... it's def flavorful and worth it. So if you're ever in the Allentown area, don't miss out on Yocco's!

This is the original apparently and it's definitely a bucket list place to hit. Cheesesteak sandwich and birch beer is awesome. Service is perfect. Some signs of integrity from the original layout and design. So glad we stopped in.

There are about 5 or 6 Yocco's in the Lehigh Valley nowadays - but back in the day we would occaisionally trek to A-town from South Bethlehem (not that you couldn't get "greekers" (hotdogs with all the fixin's that you usually eat late at night after drinking). Yocco's back in the day only stayed open until 10 or 11 PM soit was a hotdog lover's pilgrimage indeed. I am not much of a hot dog eater - but enjoyed the journey and people watching the very colorful characters back then this was not a great part of Allentown - but now it is not great at ALL.) - and it is here I remember learning the vast difference between Penn State and the State Pen. All while trying not to get chili sauce all over my shirt. Bring cash.

This place is terrific. I didn't grow up in Allentown so I am not familiar with whatever Kool Aid you all are [allegedly] drinking. I want to say that a quart of Lager costs $1.65. They serve local potato chips. And the hot dogs are the most satisfying consolation you can have when you're 90 miles from Philadelphia and missing a concert that's already started. Dressed in a crisp straitjacket, like hot dogs should be. I can't believe that anyone could possibly think this location merits only one star. Some day, all the places like Yocco's will be gone. Then the only regional variety you'll have is Sheetz gas in WVa and PA and Marathon gas in IL. What a shame.

We live vicariously through our Mother's past when we were taken to Yocco's Hot Dog King as kids. She used to eat a Yocco hot dog and drink chocolate milk, and when we would travel back east, she would take us there to remember the good ole days. The place is very simple, you walk up to the counter and order. There are several 4 seater tables. The place looks old and run down, but it's not about the place, it is all about the hot dogs and the sauce they smother them with. Yum! They also offer the cheesesteak, burgers and sausage sandwiches, fries, as well as my favorite, perogies as a side.

Yocco's = Yuck-o's. Perhaps the secret's in the sauce. I like their tv commercials on late night cable. GREAT song. In the neverending Pott's v. Yocco's battle, I'm with "Pottsies."
