Decided to grab quick food on a rainy Sunday, since its close to home. This thinking violated my proclamation "never to return" after my last visit. While its a chain, there was a period of time - a few hears ago- when a great staff and reasonably priced/presented food offer a decent "value proposition". Over the past 2 years I've experienced a steady decline in that proposition. Perpetual staff turnover, inconsistent food quality/service solidify my assessment that Ruby Tuesdays decision to put itself up for sale is a concession that current management has lost their ability to guide this company in an "as always" competitive landscape. The focus here is cutting costs rather than growing revenue through customer retention and size of the average meal ticket. Since they have generally good physical store locations, in demographically desirable markets, tossing out incumbent management could alow this brand to survive with new direction. This chains demise is a classic example of poor management.

One word--terrible! The service was very good but that cannot make up for the inedible food. I ordered the chicken breast and asked instead of parmesan cheese sauce I requested olive oil and basil. I was told they do not have fresh basil and I opted for the parsley. Unfortunately, my chick breast was very small and was swimming in olive oil. The white cheddar mashed potatoes were basically hard. a total waste of money and time.

Went back again. I know what you're thinking. Why do I keep going back. Well, it just happened. Anyway, this time I ordered two turkey burger sliders and salad bar. Again, the salad bar was hard to access, although the food was very tasty this time. The sliders were not impressive, once again. I really need to order something new next time. After coming back from the salad bar, we then had to hunt down someone to get us silverware and napkins. Maybe I have a love-hate relationship with Ruby Tuesdays, haha.

I am a big fan of Ruby Tuesday! I feel its much better than TGI's and Applebees. The food is always good and i like there mashed potatoes and steak entrees. The new garlic and cheese biscuits are amazing!! The biggest flaw i have is that this Ruby Tuesday is always jammed, and service slacks when its really busy. It needs to be bigger!!

I've been to this location of Ruby Tuesday and I'll give it to them that they are consistent. As in they consistently employ slow and ineffective waitstaff. Now I'll preface this by saying that I don't care for most chain dining as it's usually bland and uninspired food coupled with high prices and crap service. But I've had decent luck with other Ruby Tuesday locations and quite honestly after Ruby Tuesday redid their menu and decor chain wide a few years ago everything got much better across the board. We went on a Sunday for a late lunch/early dinner and were immediately seated off to the right where at the time no one else currently was seated.(Kiss of death right there.) We then waited 12 minutes for a server to approach us for a drink order. Next he takes the order and then disappears for what seemed like another 12 until the water and ice tea were produced. We order our burgers and then after another ten minutes he randomly stops by to ask if we would like to add their salad bar or try the complimentary House Salad. We obviously chose the House Salad and that may have been a mistake. Sad, limp, brownish-lettuce coupled with a sprinkling of cheese and a soupy-sea of dressing that was puddled in the bottom of the bowl. Eventually the burgers are produced and they are good. After that comes the eternal wait for the check. This joker, his name is very bizarre and I wish I could remember it but I can't, is only watching three tables while another server has six tables in the same area and her tables are leaving way before his yet they were seated after his. All in all the burgers were very good but the salad was pathetic, the service was bad enough that I've sent an email to the corporate office ( I know they don't care but it made me feel good) and that I will never come back to this location again.

I went here over the weekend and it was horrible! I don't think food should be memorable for bad flavor. My boyfriend ordered a hamburger and it came back rather gray looking in appearance. It was completely over cooked. His "creamy cauliflower" side dish tasted like it was watered-down. I had ordered the three shellfish dish and it wasn't any better. My crab cake was burnt, rather flat and tasteless. My broccoli had a weird bitter taste that did not resemble garlic as the staff had suggested to me. I also had a side dish of potatoes which kind of reminded me of Elmer's paste. As for the shrimp they tasted freezer burnt and the lobster was disappointing as well. Overall the food had a very dismal, old appearance and was completely inedible. Luckily we didn't have to pay for our meals and I did like my peach sangria. We were compensated with a slice of cheesecake which we didn't care for. I'm just glad we didn't get sick. I am never coming back to this location.

Despite having one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while, they still get three stars for making it as right as they could. We showed up a little bit before 8 and got seated pretty quickly. We got a seat in the front corner, which I think was part of the problem. I don't think anyone wanted to claim us. About ten minutes later, someone came and took our drink & food orders. Five minutes later, our drinks came. Mine was horrid...got sent back about five minutes later when someone came to see how we were doing. I don't believe in a second chance on a drink (everytime I try, it's just as bad as the first), so I asked for a water. It took over twenty minutes for our food to come out, and it wasn't fresh. I don't mind waiting twenty minutes for my food, but don't serve me fries that have been under the heat lamp for goodness knows how long. So I peck at it a bit, and wait for someone to check back so that I can send it back...no love. Fifteen minutes later, no one has checked on us. I finally gave up and went to the hostess stand and asked to see a manager. I would have been happy to just wait for fresh food, but they just comped the check and we left. I'd definitely go back and give them a second chance, but I suppose this is my personal warning that I shouldn't eat here after 8 pm on a Wednesday. They were very apologetic, so hopefully we were the only ones that got cold, bad food.

This particular one is located across from Wegman's, in Allentown. I have tried to like this place, but it always seems to fail me. The food is fairly good (though they have recreated my favorite salad and not for the better) and several healthy options are offered. The service at this one, is where the problem lies. They are slow in obtaining your order and rarely return to check to see if you need anything else, like drink refills. Since there are not a lot of other choices in the West Side, it is always busy. So expect to wait for a table Thursday - Sunday, when most people dine out. The parking lot is chaotic, but you will find suitable spaces on the back side. I think what bothers me most is the location of the salad bar. It is right at the crowded entrance, and inevitably every one has to walk by it to get to their table. People coming in, are bumping into those getting items from the salad bar. It really is an illogical set up.

Well this is the second time visiting a Ruby Tuesday in the past few months and after this visit I have to say I'm done. My boyfriend and I went here last night after we had seen a commercial saying the salad bar is now free. We get there only to learn it's not free, it's $2.99 and no one has heard of this commercial. So I was understandably annoyed that not only did I waste my time coming here for the salad bar but that it seems like Ruby Tuesday is doing some false advertising. So my boyfriend gets the salad bar but I didn't since I am trying to save some money. As if we weren't already annoyed he comes back form the salad bar extremely disappointed with the selection. What happened to the huge salad bar they used to have? All this one had was salad, a few toppings and one pasta salad and one potato salad. They used to have such a nice selection. In order to get his moneys worth my boyfriend literally had about 4 plates of salad to justify the $2.99. What a waste of time. Now on to the dinner portion. We both ordered the prime burger, I ordered mine rare and his was ordered medium. Well mine came out all mushy and very very greasy and his came out as rare as mine was. I thought medium didn't equal rare? Guess we were wrong. So the burgers that we always look forward to were pretty nasty. The sides were also a huge disappointment. They now offer you a choice of two sides instead of just french fries (they did have unlimited fries at one point, wonder what happened to that) which is a good thing because the amount of fries they give you is pitiful. We each got a total of 12 skinny fries. I'm not joking. Now usually when you order fries you get a nice heap of fries but not here. Why be skimpy on french fries? You don't already charge enough for a burger that you can't spare some decent fries? If we would have know this we would have ordered 2 sides of fries instead of two different sides. Ugh, the whole night was just a waste of time and money. The only good thing I can say is our server was very nice and pretty attentive. Not much of an incentive to come back here again though. Sorry Ruby Tuesday, you have had your last strike and it's on to some other restaurant now.

Our food was delicious. When we walked in we were seated promptly, and our server came up to us right away. I let her know we had a coupon and she said it was fine. We order two soft drinks, an appetizer and two entree's. Our food was amazing. It was really good, our server though... just talked and talked and talked to the table behind us and then got annoyed when I needed a refill on my drink. But other than that it was really good. Really really good.

Yuck. We got takeout tonight and I was NOT impressed. I got the triple prime bacon cheddar burger medium rare. What I got was a barely medium burger with NO bacon and my receipt even says I paid for bacon. It was smallish too. I only ate half but still the portion is a lot smaller than say the awesome burger I ate at Werts cafe yesterday lol. This one was dried out and so not worth $12... A pile of soggy fries rounded out my meal. We got the sampler appetizer too and that was gross as well. Gross Thai spring roll things, gross super spicy dipping sauce, soggy mozzarella logs, a pile of congealed weird cheese fries...the chicken tenders were surprisingly half decent but nothing spectacular. Service sucked. I called to place an order and was placed on hold for over 8 minutes before I hung up and called back. 'Oops! That was my fault' said the flaky ditz who answered the phone the second time. Won't be back!

If you have 30minute lunch, not the best place to do so, organizational skills here are not in place, came in was greeted quick by host but they only have one server who was more concerned with their personal iphone duties, was asked to order after 10minutes, which i gave up and started getting things from salad bar, never checked up for refills, had to flag down for check- lunch here was horrendous, could imagine dinner is worse based on the reviews, corporate should just shut this place down!

I echo the sentiments of Matthew H. I've been to several Ruby Tuesday's, and this location is on par with each of them. And, I've been to this one a half dozen times over the past four or five years [including a break in the middle while living somewhere else]. My bill is comparable to the 5 Guys, next door, when I take my family, before adding the tip. Plus we have the added benefit of getting some kind of variety. Are the burgers as good, probably not - though, in fairness, it is a different kind of burger. Maybe if I went on a Tuesday, instead, it gets better? ;-) As Matthew says, it's a step up from Applebee's. Food is probably in the same strata as Chili's or TGIF's. Get the picture? Service quality? Again, probably the same as the aforementioned. There probably aren't many servers here seeing this as a primary income. I've had great service, and I typically have adequate service. Sometimes there are mistakes made. Again, you're not paying for anything more than the aforementioned usual suspects. If you haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday's, then if you're looking for casual dining with a large, typically-well stocked, salad bar - you should give it shot. If you're looking for something "linen napkin", then this is not the place.

They got expensive there. .... we went for what we figured to be an affordable family place....avoided the steak houses. ...only to pay $18 a plate for a NY strip steak that was less then impressive. The restaurant was cold, the salad bar didn't seem very fresh, and my daughters chicken fingers were over fried and to salty. She didn't eat them. I'm done with Ruby Tuesdays.

Great food, awesome service & great alcohol. Only problem was they had a gorgeous girl as a busser & a fat ugly guy as a waiter. I was so confused. I've never been more confused in my life. I don't know what the manager was thinking putting a greasy haired anti social druid as a waiter & having a super model picking up dishes but all I know is that it was as if they made a bet to switch places for a day. Just insane. Still can't get over it. The guy looked like a greasy frog who hasn't showered in 9 days & a belly that made a hippo look small in comparison.

I decided to try this Ruby Tuesday location one evening just because I happened to be nearby at dinnertime. I've been to a lot of Ruby Tuesday locations and this one is not really any different. The entree I had, crispy fried shrimp, was okay, although I was really there for the salad bar. I thought service was good, although the server had a tendency to disappear for long periods of time.

Had diner with the my wife 2 kids and friend. The server was very nice and was very friendly and patient with the kids. The food was as expected and the salad bars was well stocked. Overall this was as expected and will return to this establishment.

Not impressed. The food is ok but the layout of the salad bar is awful. It's located just inside the front door very close to where patrons are at times waiting to be seated. It's also in the way of the wait staff as they rush to serve meals. The salad bar itself is designed so that it's difficult to reach many items unless you have very long arms.

These negative reviews say more about the people writing them than Ruby Tuesday. I've lost count how many Ruby Tuesday locations my partner and I have been to across this great country of ours. They're all pretty much the same. They're a step up from Applebees. Ruby Tuesday is a publicly traded company and I think many of these are franchise locations much like a McDonald's would be a franchise. There are roughly 850 Ruby Tuesday locations and as far as I'm concerned they're all pretty much the same. The menu doesn't change much - it is perfectly adequate for what it is. This location is convenient to Interstate 78 so we can get off the road, have dinner, have something better than a roadside truck plaza dining experience and they have wifi. If you want a Michelin starred dining experience, this isn't it. We occasionally eat at Michelin starred restaurants in New York City and we can eat at Ruby Tuesday in Allentown PA. It is all about setting reasonable expectations. This Ruby Tuesday is consistent with our experience at Ruby Tuesday elsewhere - it is a good place for dinner when passing through Allentown. No complaints

Went on a weekday evening, been to this one a couple times before but it's going down hill. It's never been great, but they have certain food items that are "pretty good" and the salad bar usually seals the deal when we're looking for healthy. We won't be going back to this location. The place seemed to be completely staffed by high-school students who didn't really care about what they were doing, they were nice enough but obviously did not go out of their way in their jobs. Our server was just plain indifferent and left us alone with empty drinks for at least 10 minutes. Salad bar was "meh" at best and the place was pretty much dead. Last straw at least at this location for us, there has to be another place that has a decent salad bar.

I should have checked the reviews here before choosing this place for dinner. Even though I'd been to other Ruby Tuesday restaurants before, I'm not that familiar with their menu. When Jared our server asked me "one salad bar or two sides" it took me several seconds to understand him because of the way he phrased it. I pretended I didn't hear him clearly so he said again "one salad bar or two sides." What he really meant was "salad bar or two sides?" -- the "one" in his question threw me off and the mental image I got immediately was that of two different types of salad bars. I stumbled and said I would take two sides. Then he asked me what they were. I didn't know where the sides were so he sighed a little (it was pretty obvious he was annoyed) and then pointed out the sides on my menu. And even then, there were different prices for the sides. I eventually chose two and he went to take the next order at our table. When the folks at our table came back with their salad bar plates, we realized none of us had utensils. It took several attempts before we were able to get his attention and even then, he shorted us one set -- we had 7 people, but he only gave us 6. We were not able to get his attention again so one of us simply had to go up and get ourselves another set. We were also surprised that he didn't bring up the bread that is normally given out so we had to specifically ask for it. One of the couples at our table told us that all the Ruby Tuesday restaurants automatically give this out. Aside from the sub-par service, the food itself was "meh." One person ordered lobster tail and when it came to the table, the lobster meat was dark gray with streaks of black -- not from being burnt, but from the meat itself having black streaks in it. I'm no lobster connoisseur, but that just didn't look right to me and I was surprised they let it leave the kitchen that way. We brought it to our server's attention and he brought it back to the kitchen. They cooked another one and this time it came out the normal color. Now c'mon, that's just common sense and obviously, the kitchen and the server didn't care and was just trying to get rid of it. I was admittedly surprised when there wasn't even a slight reduction in our bill for one guest having to wait a little longer for his re-cooked lobster tail. Would I go back to this restaurant? Most likely not.
