Had breakfest here with my family about two days ago. I got the mexican omelet that was not bad. If you looking for diners food, then this is the place for you. Nothing special, and dont try to pay for your check when allot of people get up. You will be standing in line forever. they give a military discount which was nice. food was average service was average Nothing to gloat about here.

Dear Ham Fam, Why does your coffee taste like mold. Please fix so I can fix my rating.

It started out well here. Things then took a turn for the worse service wise. I needed butter for my sandwich, and our server never came back to check on us once our food was out. The other waitress and the host/manager sat at the counter eating. No help at all! Also, I never had a refill on my coffee or my water. The food was pretty good, and this review might have been 3.5 stars, but the service is horrendous! And the diner was not full at all! Plenty of other diners in the area with just as good food and way better service!

You have to love the HamFam - great food, fun staff, and able to accommodate any group or family! Practically grew up in the place, and it's great to have Mike back!

It's a diner, so lowered expectations, right? Decent coffee, friendly people, bright windows, eggs in a flash. Just don't expect actual Hollandaise on your eggs Benedict, because it arrives with a brown orange blanket without a hint of flavor. But if you stick to the basics and enjoy the coverage of the President's visit here, you won't be disappointed.

Stopped here for breakfast. Usual diner food. Service was mediocre. My friend waited a long time for a coffee refill. I ordered a western omelet with tomato - they forgot the tomato. They do provide a discount for the company I work for so that is nice. Otherwise, there are lots of other diners in Allentown to try.

Thank GOD Mike is back! Since the return of the previous owner, this place has become what it used to be. The soups are perfectly seasoned (try the lentil, my favorite), the salad bar is stocked, and the sandwiches are impeccable. Keep in mind, this is a diner. You're not going to get the same service that you would at some stuffy Saucon Valley high dining establishment. But, the Ham Fam has solid food choices, consistently good service, and friendly staff. I am extremely impressed with the changes I have seen in the last year with Mike. I have been coming here for years and am thrilled it's back to the top in the area.

Breakfast was good. Service was good. Waitress was very friendly. Hostess was very pretty. Overall I'm happy with my visit, and I'd return the next time I'm in Allentown.

I've tried all three meals here. Dinner was by far the best. Breakfast being the worst. That's my review for today. I decided to order 2 pancakes with a side of bacon and a small cranberry juice the juice was ridiculously small and tasted watered down. Perhaps it was a powdered cranberry juice mix or something else. the bacon was done perfectly and they gave you a lot more than most places. I think I had six pieces. but the pancakes were awful. not cooked enough or something because I should've ordered more to drink it was almost impossible to swallow. Kinda like paste/bread with a hint of pancake flavor. Either the batter was wrong or they weren't cooked enough. It was edible just not light and fluffy. my waitress was seemingly paranoid, she kept throwing statements my way about the guys sitting behind me who she said kept looking at her. She was an older woman but perhaps they were annoyed with how long it was taking them to get coffee & omelet's I don't know but it really wasn't my business. Go here for lunch or Dinner only is what I have to say.

Really? 3.5 stars? I couldn't agree LESS. Dinner was pathetic. If you're a vegetarian, don't bother. You'll have uh... eggplant parm to choose from. Unless you want a grilled cheese. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile or two to go to Queen City.

Ok, it's a diner people. Do you really expect a 5 star gourmet meal from a diner behind a stadium? When we went it wasn't very crowded so our service was fine. Pretty typical diner (with one exception: it's huge). I ordered the burger deluxe and my boyfriend got breakfast. We were happy with just about everything (the hashbrowns were not the best). My burger was a typical diner burger, nothing out of the ordinary. We liked how they brought out 4 different kinds of jelly for the toast and the waitress was exactly as I would expect from a diner. She was a little rough around the edges but very friendly and helpful. Maybe if I had eaten here at 11pm after DCI Allentown I would have had a worse experience but because it was the middle of the day and they weren't crazy busy I enjoyed myself.

Another crappy Allentown diner full of geriatrics who pine for the age of racism smoking everywhere, and drinking alcohol at the office ... Enough said?

Never again. Food sucks and expensive. almost $6.00 for 4 mozzarella sticks, give me a break, are they made out of gold.

A typical diner with average to high prices. Portions are good and the deserts are good as well.

A perfectly decent diner. Service was average. Food was average. Prices were a little higher than average. Nothing great, nothing terrible either. I ordered a breakfast platter. It was boringly mediocre like every average run of the mill diner. Homefries need to be crispy. These were barely crisp at all. Ate here a lot as a kid. Nothing has changed from back then either. Notable because they have decent parking and the service at least is pretty fast for breakfast. The last waitress I had at least smiled.

Ahh! found you!! any DCI people out there? This is the cruddy little diner everyone goes to after the show in Allentown every year. (Drum Corps... don't ask). It is right outside the stadium, so no alternatives Pretty consistently awful service. Without fail they got every single drink refill wrong. Or just didn't bring them. Food took ages. We didn't care though.. Had the best time being ridiculous. .. and for that I guess I won't be too hard on them. They had to deal with hoards of messy teenagers bombarding their place all at once. Teenagers with strange white feet... Their wraps are alright, too

Good burger and fries, but the waitress was not having a good day.

Where to start. Sat for 15 mins before someone even came to the table. There is spilled milk on the floor and we were just told we couldn't have lemon for our water because none was cut up yet. The waitresses are old cranky and slow. Stay away from this dive.

Staff was friendly, diner was clean. Food was not that great. Chopped steak was dry, gravy was cold, crab cake was mostly bread. Had dinner there twice but don't think we will return.

Solid diner fare in a newly-renovated shiny Greek establishment. High marks for the wraps, and good gyros, too. Very typical giant crispy-good salad bar and also very typical flashy (but bland) desserts. Crowd ranges from college students, slackers, families, 70-year-old chain-smoking regulars sitting at the counter and late-night diner rats. Definitely a place to grab pre- or post-hangover grub.

as I always say a diner is a diner cant expect more, decent breakfast price is average and friendly staff!

The Ham Fam is an Allentown institution. They serve up average diner food with a smile. Good place to meet friends for a bite late at night.
