Spent three nights here. Great hosts, unbelievable breakfasts ( think Paris or NY City), nice rooms and great common living room with ocean front view. Good agate hunting.

While traveling through Oregon, my companion and I decided somewhat spontaneously to find a nice place to stay on the coast, rest from our travels, have a nice breakfast, and revel in the ocean waves. "How is it that I never see the waves that bring her words to me for though unseen, they drift around they catch my breath, and knock me down" Instead, we were berated and turned away by the Inn Keeper, one of the most condescending and unpleasant people I've ever not done business with. I made a reservation on the Sea Quest web site and got a confirmation email. I called ahead to let the inn know we'd be arriving late. If the grumpy woman working the inn answered the phone, returned her messages, or understood how her reservation system worked, this would have been no problem. Hell, if she'd been polite and and explained her position without the insults, I wouldn't be writing this review. If she'd opened our room and let us in, dealing with paperwork in the morning, I'd be singing her Inn's praises. As it is, I had to drive to a Comfort Inn, where I was treated well and given a room w/o issue. It's kinda ironic that the place where I had a confirmed reservation turned me away while the place where I had none took care of me. The breakfast will suck, but at least I didn't have to check my dignity at the door.

What a delightful inn! We were impressed from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. The innkeeper saw us drive up and met us in the doorway, greeting us by name. She gave us a very in-depth tour of the house, then showed us to our room. We were treated beautifully throughout our two night stay, and the breakfasts were outstanding. You can mingle with others, or if you are more comfortable being by yourself, the inn is large enough where you can do this. The upstairs offers panoramic views of the ocean, and the guests there a night before we arrived talked of whale sightings during the breakfast hour the morning of our arrival day. They have built a little stairway to the beach from their property, so you can access it easily. There is a koi pond with a waterfall that is beautiful, though I didn't see any fish. We had a little patio outside our main floor room in the back of the inn, but still had a view of the ocean from there. It was a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day and watch as the sun set over the water. There is a very long stretch of beach there so you can walk for miles on a low tide. Kids were flying kites there, and it also offers a fairly decent beach for collecting shells. There are many sights to see not far from the inn, including hiking trails, horseback riding stables, dune buggies, and they are about a half hour's drive from Newport, where two of our favorite restaurants are located. We loved this part of our trip and will definitely return to the Sea Quest.

I am long overdue in posting this review, but my wife and I took a romantic trip up the California and Oregon coast with Seaquest Inn B&B as our final destination after the Christmas holiday. We originally planned to stay two nights, but we fell in love with the Inn and especially with Sherwood and Stephanie and stayed through the New Year. First things first. Most of the reviews on SeaQuest Inn are on TripAdvisor, so to get a robust set of reviews, check them out. I'm a devoted Yelp guy, so I wanted to make sure this review was posted to Yelp, as well. ...the key to SeaQuest Inn is Sherwood and Stephanie who are the current hosts. They took over a year or so ago--apparently before them the Inn was less cared for, so you can safely disregard reviews prior to 2013. The Inn is beautifully situated on the Oregon coast and very charming now with Sherwood and Stephanie's TLC. If you check out the TripAdvisor reviews, you'll see uniformly amazing reviews on Sherwood and Stephanie, and they simply cannot be overstated--they are super fun, their breakfasts are amazing, they take impeccable care of their guests and the property. It was based on the reviews about them that I selected Seaquest, and the reviews were right on point. We stayed in the upstairs suite, which I believe is called the "Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite". This is a very large suite, and the only suite on the top floor. It's wall-to-wall windows overlooking the ocean, a large living room, and very nice bathroom. It also has a working wood fireplace that Sherwood and Stephanie keep primed and ready to light. My wife and I peeked into the other rooms, which were all nice and are in the process of being updated with new decor. Our room was definitely the largest, but also most expensive, however, I feel it was well worth the price. Sherwood and Stephanie have put a LOT of time and energy into cleaning and decorating the Inn, and they put an equal amount of energy into creating a fun, welcoming environment. There is a wine and cheese happy hour every day, and they put together a very festive New Years Eve party with friends in the area who all brought great wine and homemade dishes for all of the guests at the inn. It was a ton of fun. The inn is located about 8 - 10 mins from Yachats (pronounced Yah-haats), where you'll find some amazing seafood restaurants with fresh crab and local catches. There are some hikes and sites to see in the area, as well, so you can definitely spend a few days without getting bored. Did I mention the breakfasts? Well, Sherwood and Stephanie out-do themselves every morning with incredible breakfasts that are well thought out, artfully presented, and often a bit decadent. By the end of our stay, we were reluctant to leave, but left feeling like we had made new friends and certainly some great memories. We would love to come back, and I would stay at any B&B where Sherwood and Stephanie are the hosts!

Excellent location - right on the beach and below the highway noise. The innkeepers, Stephanie and Sherwood were very helpful and served a copious breakfast and pleasant wine hour. Comfortable bed and nice shower. On the downside, quite a few repairs are needed. Our screen door to the beach was falling apart - literally. There was no door to the bathroom - by design. The door to the beach didn't lock from the outside and the steps down to the beach had been neglected for far too long. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the Seaquest, but it could be a five star bed-and-breakfast with more attention to maintenance and repair.

Awesome location, right on the oceanfront. The Dominica room offers a breathtaking view of the Pacific from its window, Jacuzzi and private deck. The place had a rustic homelike appeal, great for a romantic getaway. However, the first thing that I noticed upon entering the room was the absence of a bathroom door! The inn-keeper was personable and offered to have our rooms switched with one that came with a door. So not all rooms are created equal - just something to be aware of. The innkeeper also prepared us a nice breakfast taking our dietary restrictions into consideration - emphasizing on local and organic ingredients. There's a common guest area/lounge, equipped with microwave, fridge and brewing station accessible at all hours. There was no TV and no cell phone coverage in the room. But free wi-fi was available. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay, and are likely to visit again.

Beautiful location, legendary breakfast and new hosts enthusiastic to please. We spent one night here on our coastal journey northward and regrettably could not stay longer. The inn is right on the beach and far enough from the highway to provide a peaceful setting. The Great Room next to the open kitchen was a delightful gathering place for conversation and surf watching. We'll definitely stop over again should our travels take us back to the Oregon coast.

I have never Yelped before- but absolutely must! The SeaQuest Inn is an absolute destination and innkeepers Stephanie and Sherwood complete a memorable and relaxing experience! The B& B felt immediately like home- we were immedietly welcomed by both innkeepers, given a helpful tour of the grounds, and shown our room (our names were even on the door- so sweet!). The ocean front room was tasteful, clean, with impressive views of the soothing surf below. The innkeepers were friendly and detail orientated- I immediately felt I was in good hands. Being gluten free and vegetarian, I wasn't expecting fireworks with the breakfast, but not only had I been asked of my dietary restrictions, I was served a five course gourmet breakfast that truly was something to attempt emulation in my own kitchen (doubtful!). SO delicious!!! Seasonal, healthy, and abundant. We are Eugene professionals in our 30s and have come to know what we like in hospitality- the SeaQuest Inn surpassed our expectations. I cant wait to return in the winter to sit next to that colossal fireplace! Thank you so much for a stay to remember- I can see why the whales hang out in front! Emily G.
