Sushi is pretty fresh. It's hard to come by a decent Asian place around this area of Woodburn, & this is the place to get your sushi/Japanese food craving fulfilled. You can request them to make a certain roll/nigiri that you don't see on their conveyor belt. If it's a black plate, it's not going to be a part of their 2-5PM happy hour of all plates being $1.75. Ran by Chinese people, they're friendly & know how to make sushi. The 2-5PM everyday happy hour is a great deal btw! Worth it. I always come back when I visit Oregon. Now get your major NOMZ on!

We came here after 2pm to try their $1.75 sushi happy hour. When we sat down there was hardly any food on the belt going around. They didn't make the sushi fast enough. I can't say their sushi were excellent but the taste was pretty mediocre. This place is ran by Chinese. You could order a few things off their menu but not anything that is black plate because that will be regular price even during happy hour. Would I go back, maybe. Depending if I am in the hood or not.

I went here during "happy hour" on a Saturday because my daughter wanted sushi. Not really being a sushi person, I went for items like gyoza and spring rolls. Well, everything was cold instead of hot, like it should have been, and while the gyoza was just barely adequate, the spring rolls had the added bonus of being slimy inside. I couldn't even finish eating them. My daughter felt that her sushi was passable, but the things she would really have wanted were not available on the conveyer belt while we were there. In fact, I don't believe they added anything to the belt the whole time we were there (we got there just a little after 3:00). It was just the same sad selections going around and around. So, my recommendation if you go here is to make sure you get there at 2:00, when happy hour starts, and try to sit close to where the food is placed on the belt so that you can snag stuff while it's still fresh/hot.

Amazing 2:00 lunch experienced. Grab only black and green plates and pay just $1.75 for every plate. Sushi conveyer just like Japan. Tea is free Managed by Toisan Chinese folk who are friendly enough. Tea cups were constantly filled. Sit at the bar and enjoy a supreme lunch! My fave: sake nigiri and crunchy tempura roll. Even gyoza was crispy and super hot!

I eat lots of sushi around the seattle area and I am picky about fish, and I wasn't expecting much from this place, but it surprisingly exceeded my expectations. The fish was pretty fresh for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. They little octopus gunkan sold me. The marination was really good, it wasn't rubbery at all, it wasn't too soft. Great chew! I judge a sushi place by their salmon nigiri and this place had good salmon! I also ordered a chicken udon and I was happy. The chicken was very savory, and saltiness was perfect. You can actually taste the chicken flavor on it, almost like a home cooked chicken soup. The udon noodles had a good chew; it wasn't over cooked. It was a big bowl and I got tired of the consistency fairly quick, but they give you the red pepper flakes to switch up the flavor. Good quality for fair price. Reminds me of genki sushi.. maybe a little better! Definitely a place to try if you're ever shopping around oregon one day!

This is the one place that my wife and I stop in for our fix of sushi. Great service and food. It's a perfect stop before making your stop at the outlet mall.

This is a solid rotating sushi bar that is perfect for lunch while shopping at the outlet malls. Also a great stop for a single diner. From 2pm to 4pm daily they have a $1.75 per plate happy hour and they definitely don't skimp on the high dollar plates. There were plenty of $3.25 plates coming by with the same quality and quantity during non happy hour servings. I was able to devour 4 plates of 5 piece sushi and two plates of 2 egg rolls in about fifteen minutes. The only recommendation is to serve each diner a separate portion of wasabi because the community dish looks dried out and gives the diner the feeling they may contract a bacterial infection from sharing.

Sora Sushi Woodburn Oregon - Great food - Excellent Value August 25, 2014 About 2pm On a suggestion from a guest at La Quinta the night before we decided to try this little hole-in-the-wall after a long day at the outlet mall What we found was a quaint restaurant that appears to be a favorite to locals as we witnessed many people walking in being greeted personally by staff. You can get food to go or stay; food by the plate (on a conveyer system) or off the menu. Most tables are positioned centrally with a conveyor belt going among them where fresh sushi was being made and transported to the tables, with patrons selecting their choices The plates are color code matched to the price of the food that is presented, you choose a plate, eat the food, and in the end the staff use the plates to total your bill However what we found on this day, between 2pm and 4pm all plates were a flat price of $1.75 - wow was this a great deal! We tried a bit of both, chicken & rice bowl (huge!) that was excellent and a few of the plates as they came by - our daughter found this to be part of the adventure, see something you like and try it In the end everything was excellent in flavor and friendly helpful staff and we will be back! We have already recommended this to friends traveling through the Woodburn area

Went for lunch on 12-12-14. Not busy, maybe three tables full. Nigiri fish was still frozen. Alaskan roll salmon had a very strong smell. Obviously not fresh. This is a second rate shop, serving cheap fish. Will not be going back.

Come on Oregon, you deserve better and people need to know better. It takes only about a few seconds of glancing at the interior decoration to know that this is a non-japanese place. But that's besides the point, their version of so called "sushi" was atrocious. There are 3 components to a good sushi: Sushi Rice, fish, and the sushi chef's skill. zero out of 3. The sushi rice was horrendous and as sushi rice is THE most important component, the rest didn't even matter. The only saving grace is that it was happy hour and everything was $1.75 although I had to stop after 2 plates. I just don't understand how these "sushi chefs", especially non-japanese ones with minimal training if any, don't understand or are taught the importance of making proper sushi rice. It's truly disturbing. What is more disturbing is that people don't notice that.

4 stars for food. 3 stars for service. Sushi belt, oh how I love thee. Between the hours of 2-4 everyday is happy hour and its $1.75 for all plates. Decent deal if I do say so myself since the quality isn't the best I've had but was still pretty good. When the server did show up, she was really friendly and offered and brought us a booster chair for the baby. Would go again if I was down here.

Very nice small restaurant near Woodburn Outlet Mall, where there is no other decent food. There is sushi belt which provides a lot of options. We ordered Bento box for lunch which came with large portion of meat. It was almost enough for two. Food was tasty and service was fast. I am so glad there is something other than fast food when shopping in Woodburn.

Happy hour though the people working didn't seem so happy. Knocked it down by a star. Food is standard conveyor belt. Not a lot of variety for happy hour. Go figure. Lots of saucy rolls but we stuck to salmon and nigiri as much as possible. Cali rolls were decent. We were starving so maybe that added a star. Much better than what you can get at the nearby outlets.

First, this is a conveyor belt style sushi bar. Which is great! We went in as a big group and ordered rolls and didn't follow the conveyor belt rules. But the service was great and accommodating. Both women were very friendly. The food was great too! Sushi rolls were huge and our vegan members also had good food options. While we don't live local, we would come back! Thanks Sora Sushi!

Wonderful, fresh, variety, great prices. We live in Woodburn and frequent this place often. Now that I am pregnant we won't be in for a while, however, as soon as baby comes -- we'll be back! A must try for all!

CAUTION THERE ARE BETTER quality JAPANESE RESTAURANTS, only eat here if you are really hungry and don't care about your quality of food. Read on Atmosphere: it was a well decorated restaurant with a weird vibe. This "Japanese restaurant" was decorated with an uneven balance between Chinese and Japanese art. Why was I in a sushi restaurant listening to traditional Chinese music? What really made my experience bad was the dirty menus covered with old soy sauce, the leftover residue of the past customers that the employees had failed to clean (they used water and a rag). Food: I ordered off the menu and tried some conveyor belt sushi. The beef udon soup... Wow, it tasted like oil more than anything. The broth was greasy, and the beef tasted like something out of a happy meal (poor grade mcnugget meat). After a few bites, I felt extremely nauseous. I've had several versions of udon from other restaurants, but none as greasy,over-salted, and as artificially flavored as that bowl. I still have some after taste. On the other hand, the sushi was good. Anything you would expect from an ordinary Japanese restaurant with good Sushi and slow service. ( I'll get to that soon). In addition, their tea was good. ( to wash out the bad flavor) Service: As I walked in I was greeted by a nice lady. Surprisingly, they were not Japanese instead Chinese. However, that doesn't mean anything. Ordering was delayed, the waiter forgot about my order twice. One waiter took my menu, how rude, and gave it to another group of people while I was still using it! What made me really irritated was that the workers were too preoccupied in a funny conversation that I couldn't even understand while ignoring their customers. It was hard for me to order. Bathrooms: Clean. I would take a number 2 in it. There may be a few napkins on the floor, be aware. In my opinion, you should choose another Japanese restaurant.

The family had lunch here today after shopping at the outlet mall. This place is a very welcome addition to the dearth of decent restaurants in Woodburn, and has a full menu of fresh, reasonably priced conveyor belt sushi, and several udon and obento options. If it was in Portland it would probably get 3 stars, but out in Woodburn it deserves 4.5.

Stopped at this place right before hitting up Woodburn and was pleasantly surprised at how great the food was! The sushi belt curves around the entire restaurant and is packed with fresh, aesthetically pleasing dishes that range from $1.75 - $4.00. Hint: try the Salem roll. The server mentioned it's a customer favorite, and I have to agree that it's to die for. We will be back!

Worst sushi place ever we went for happy hour it wasn't even happy hour we didn't eat much and the bill was pretty pricy I don't recommend this place at all. They hardly speak any English too.

Very sweet team of employees. Great food. Low key. We came in fairly late on a Sunday evening and were very well taken care of. I had chicken yakisoba, other half had Unagi rolls, California rolls, and a few other items. For the two of us, our bill was under $26 and we both left more than satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

loved it. Make sure you go around 2pm for happy hour which makes everything $1.75.

Value was ok, service was fair, food was mah. My biggest concern was that they did all the prep work, including cutting up and portioning the salmon etc in front of you. I think one of the main sink was actually in the dinning room at the sushi bar. I was not happy with the fact that they were handling pieces of raw meat when I am dining.

Wow fun sushi boat place. The fish all tasted really fresh and the staff was friendly happy hour from 2-4. Can't wait to come back on my trip thru.

We love this place, for its familiar staff, and its prices. We just stopped by for happy hour between 2 PM and 4 PM, and we got plenty of food for a fraction of the cost. Good sake. You can get many different entrée options, like bento boxes, but instead we usually get the bar sushi that comes by on a conveyor belt. Some of the best California rolls I've ever had.

Stopped by on the way to the Woodburn and was very pleased. Good Sushi and very nice and helpful staff. Asked for several items that were not on the belt and received it quickly and with a smile.

Work nearby and eat here often for lunch. Sushi is fresh and good. Have called an order in to pick up the bento lunch of tempura shrimp and veggies. All delish and very filling for very reasonable prices.

I'm giving this place two stars instead of thee because of their costumer service. My family was eating here and we ordered two orders of crab puffs and they were upset and told us it was last call, even though they never announced it. Then we heard them repeat loudly "crab puff!" about 15 times among other words we didn't understand, until my family and I started repeating "crab puff!" to make them stop. We ate and the sushi on the track is decent, but a lot of it sits o a while, so order your hot stuff. We got the bill and discovered they had charged us three black plate instead of two. We caught the waitress' attention and before we even corrected her "mistake", she replies "yes, two black plate". She obviously did it on purpose and is a lousy liar. When we paid the bill she took our cash and walked away without giving us our change. Their customer service makes it difficult to justify tipping them, basically. We still eat here because it's close and the sushi is alright.

Visited twice. The first time, the service was lacking and slightly unpleasant. It was the dinner hour and they were busy without enough employees, so it's understandable. There wasn't much of a selection on the belt and after an hour I gave up. The edamame smelled fishy. My friend ordered from the menu but the server couldn't explain an item on the menu and didn't offer to find out so my friend decided to go with the Chicken Teriyaki. It was satisfactory, but with little options on the belt and poor service, the overall experience was eh, o.k. The last time, I ordered sushi from the menu and the server was not helpful with explanations. I ordered the Cherry Blossom and the Angry Dragon. It was pretty and tasty, but it was too similar... if they explained I could have had more variety. My friend ordered a dinner item, Chicken Katsu, and was pleased. Unfortunately the service was slow and so very sad. Their employees look terribly unhappy and inconvenienced when asked for a drink refill and the bill. A family with children nearby waited patiently for 20 minutes for the bill. This place is majorly lacking in service and attitude.

Terrible service, the male waiter acted annoyed and rude. Their fried calamari is absolutely terrible also. Their booths are odd as well, although their chairs are small their booths are made for 7 footers because they are so high. Only eat there if you absolutely have to, it would be better to drive up to Tualatin and get both better service and food.

We came here during happy hour and it was satisfactory. The price was on point and we left full, but there was nothing exceptional about the food. At happy hour everything on the belt was $1.75, but normally it can cost more (red plate $1.75/yellow plate $2.25/green plate $2.75/black plate $3.25). They also have bento boxes with pretty good portions. Overall, good, but not great.

Always fresh when we've gone (5ish times)! Hot dishes are definitely best ordered fresh, a great consistent mid price sushi place!

Had the sashimi plate with thick cut, tender fish. My husband had a huge bento box, and a delicious volcano roll. Wait staff were attentive, and polite. My 9yo. son loves the conveyor belt concept, and keeping him entertained during dinner it priceless.

After hours of shopping we came here for happy hour sushi. Happy hour is from 2-4pm daily and everything on the conveyor belt is $1.75. The place is very small and it gets filled up quickly because of happy hour. People tend to stand pretty long. The service wasn't all that great because there are about 2 servers and 2 chefs. Everyone is running around like their hair are on fire. When we left the server did apologize for the poor service. The food was ok..depends on how long the plates have been on the conveyor belt. The baked mussels had imitation crab on it was delicious..it's only good if it's still hot! The stuffed mushroom plate was pretty good too.

Not a fan of the atmosphere, the hidden charges for a togo box or inaccurate ring up of total at the till. Food was average for a sushi joint. Still, average food and argumentative cashier experience, not worth coming back to this place.

This is a great little place to stop when shopping at the outlet mall. Being from Hawaii I came with low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. We came here during happy hour 2-4pm daily...so cost wise I was very happy. Most of the plates were $1.75 and the quality of the fish was very fresh, especially the salmon. Service was great too. Worth a visit folks!

Really good food!!!! Very yummy! I would definitely come back if I am in the area! (I'm from California where there are plenty of sushi and this place is good!) Dragon roll was good. Udon and bento was delicious too!
