Been there a few times and it's a great little strip mall Thai restaurant. Very friendly staff also.

Went here looking for a good local Thai place and based on Yelp reviews. I wasn't disappointed. The prices were just right, about $21 before tip for dinner and a beverage for two. The owner made it a point to come out and ask us how it was. The portions were just right, enough to fill you up. I usually always get basil fried rice and then compare it to my standard, Sawasdee. The fried rice is on par with that. Will be coming back!

How classy, awesome, tasty, delicious can you get. As I had never been to Thai Delight, the waiter recommended several dishes - tried them all, and took the rest home. As he was the only waiter in the place at lunch time (around 1:00) he spent time with me as well as all the other customers. What heaven!!!! Truly fresh, amazing and wonderful food. Owner was extremely nice, very knowledgeable and showing me pictures of Thailand that he had posted around the restaurant. Would highly recommend this cozy restaurant - small, intimate, but casual.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Alright alright its a bit small but it is without a doubt the best Thai food I have enjoyed in all of Portland. Chabba Thai on Sandy Blvd is the only place that even comes close. I used to work over in WV, and I would literally eat here 2-3 times a week and get take out. I was there so often I got to know the couple who owns the place, and they are such great people. Most importantly though, the food, ahhh the food. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water. Thai Iced tea = perfection. Appetizers - perfect! My favorite entrees....hmmm.... I love their Mussaman Curry, Lemon grass soup, Pad Thai, Cashew Nut.....I mean you really can't go wrong here. I've tried pretty much everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. Taken so many people here and never one complaint, even from my pickiest of friends. Did I mention its incredibly affordable? If prices haven't changed their lunches around $6-7, quite the score in WV. My favorite thing about this place is their Kang Pao....I like SPICY food I mean eyes watering, sweat dripping from your brow type hot and the chef here hooks it up. Granted it took me a few times of going for him to unleash his full array of spice unto my palette but it was worth those few initial visits. Obviously he didn't want to burn my mouth off and have me unable to eat the food so we had to build some trust up (: but even those first few times, it was still delicious. Who ever said the food was under seasoned is crazyyyyy. The seasonings are Right on point and sooo perfectly hot (if thats your request) without losing the full flavor of the dishes. Alright I seriously think I might drive there right now after writing this. Thats how good this place is. If your thinking of going...ignore the the hole in the wall feel of the place and just GO. You and your stomache will not regret it. At the risk of sounding cliche, whatever, Thai Delight is truly a Delight!

My wife and I tried this place out because of the yelp reviews. it was cool because it was family owned and operated, but the food wasn't too good. I had the pad kee mao and it was like soup on a plate with noodles. If you order a noodle dish ask for it with light sauce. The salad rolls were lettuce wrapped in rice paper. I am used having tofu and other fillers besides just lettuce. It was just not what I expected and have experienced before at other thai restaurants.

Just stopped by for the first time for some take out. Was greeted promptly even during their busy lunch rush. I ordered the beef pad thai and mussamun curry with chicken. Nice find in Wilsonville!

Excellent service and incredible food - try the salad rolls with peanut sauce and the Spicy Pineapple Chicken Curry. Don't let the outside fool you, it's a gem.

This place is WAY better than Thai Village in Wilsonville. I prefer it to most Thai restaurants in Portland and surrounding areas. I have been ordering take-out here at least once a week for the last few years. I usually order drunken noodles or Khao Soi. The food here is very flavorful, even if you do not like the spice. Unlike other places I have been to that give you mainly noodles and sauce, Thai Delight puts in a lot of fresh veggies. The family who runs Thai Delight is very welcoming. The service is generally fast, and take-out orders are usually ready in about 10 minutes.

Best Thai restaurant in Wilsonville. The family is so sweet and the food is amazing. This place is hands down way better than Thai village. When you ask for spicy here he makes sure it's spicy. Thai village will NOT follow a request on spicy. I hope everything is ok and they open back up soon. I need me some spicy yakisoba ;)

I was beginning to believe that there was no good ethnic food in Wilsonville until I found this gem! My friend had the Pad Thai and I had something with a crazy nickname. It was the most delicious red curry sauce. I was in heaven! I had the spice medium and that was just perfect for me! I was really surprised how quiet it was, but the very nice waitress said it gets busy usually around 7:30. If you are looking for good Thai, you've found it here!

First time here (I decided to compare it to the other one in the area). Lunch time - Ate off the lunch menu. Smaller than the other, but well lit and busy. Green curry was very good, sticky rice was a smaller portion than I am used to but it was perfectly cooked. Good restaraunt, friendly staff, good food, no complaints. Except... No som tum and they are taking it off the menu because not enough of you heathens order it! I can't blame them, I suppose, because the blame is on you, Mr. and Mrs. I don't order som tum America. Shame on you for not ordering the very tasty, very healthy and very Thai, SOM TUM papaya salad. I weep for my Thai ordering brethren :(

The spicy ginger green beans and chicken is serious yum. Take out quality is consistent with in house food quality which is a bonus. The best Thai I have found yet in the Ville.

By far our favorite Thai restaurant in Wilsonville. The location and actual restaurant are not anything glamorous. But the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is fresh and really good. We like this place to eat in and take out from as well. Both services are super fast. For menu items, the thai ice tea is always yummy. We also favor the traditional items (pad thai and panang curry), but we have started trying new (to us) noodles dishes and they have all been yummy. We are happy to have this kind of a go to thai place just down the street from us!

  • D T.

This has to be some of the worst Thai food I've had in Oregon. The vegetables were so overcooked they disintegrated, the coconut soup was heavily watered down, and the Pad Thai definitely had tons of ketchup in it. Thai village wins by a long shot.

  • Vy H.

Me and wife had yellow curry here and the potato was spoil. Price is decent but not so great on food and service.

    (2)
  • R F.

Excellent Thai dishes can be found here! The pad see ewe is so delicious that it's easy to overeat :-) The staff is fast, friendly, and courteous, and the atmosphere provides a comfortable dining experience. This is one of our favorite restaurants (and better than any Thai we found in Washington, DC). We're grateful they've reopened!

I ordered the basil fried rice with chicken. The meal itself was really good but $9.25 is way too much to charge. I can get the same meal at a food cart downtown for $6.00 and they dish you twice as much food. Great flavor, a little pricey, I would go back though.

I have to join the four star brigade here, this place is a solid choice for a good quick lunch. I came in aiming to order my same old, same old Pad Thai but switched on recommendation to the Thai Basil Fried Rice. What an amazing dish! I wish I could describe the taste properly other to say it is delicious. Be sure to use the lime that is provided with the dish, it wakes up some already pretty lively flavors. This very small place begs one to aim his or her lunch off the normal lunch hour as seating is quite limited, but if I had to wait, I would, gladly. I am amazed that a strip mall place could just nail atmosphere, service and flavor in one fell swoop. Maybe strip mall food being overlooked is the chance for the enlightened among us to start nailing the art of lunch?

  • Shirley C.

    Authentic Thai food!

  • Danni D.

This is a solid lunch choice. Don't let the whole strip mall thing turn you off. It helps that the restaurant is in Wilsonville, and, well, strip malls are *the* thing down here. I frequently order the yellow curry with chicken. I'm thrilled to report that the potatoes are consistently cooked throughout. My biggest gripe with most Thai restaurants is the rock solid center of most of the potato bits. Not so here. Yay. The Thai basil fried rice is my current favorite - big basil leaves sauteed with veggies, chicken, and rice, served with a lime wedge. Excellent. Service is friendly and quick. They specialize in the lunch hour crowd, so they get me back to my desk in record time, every time. That's a good thing, right? Right?

  • Brian C.

We have never had a bad meal here. Of course we usually get the staples, Pad Thai and Red Curry with chicken but other items we have tried off the menu are awesome too. You can get a wide range of spiciness' here. Mild, Mild+, Medium, Medium+... The family who runs this restaurant is always very nice and very grateful to have you there. I recommend this place much more than the other Thai place in Wilsonville.

    (5)
  • Jen K.

Not sure what has changed as of late, but sadly my last three experiences haven't been up to their usual standards. This is after being a regular customer for years with nary a bad meal. I've probably had more lunches here than any other place in town. I used to feel comfortable recommending it without hesitation. Now I'm not quite sure what to expect.

  • Holy-foo' X.

Used to work over in that area of town, and we'd occasionally come here for take out for lunch. In particular, the hot, spicy soup, both w/and w/o the coconut milk, were superb. They're good w/many of the meats, but we liked 'em best with the mixed seafood..... Excellent grub, spicy just how you like it (and we weren't interested unless some pain was involved). Odd hours, closed between lunch and dinner, as is often the case w/these Asian eateries. I have no idea if they use that time for a Spanish-style late afternoon siesta or "what", but apparently it doesn't keep 'em from success. So good onya Thai Delight! you hit the spot many a time, for me and many others.............

  • Brent D.

It's local and low key. There's a chef you can know by name who isn't a jerk face. The service is radtacular, non-oppressive, personable. It's intimate which makes for solid people watching and good server-to-table ratio. The 'facilities' aren't disgusting (c'mon, that's important). The menu is diverse. It's not too pricey, giving the consumer an opportunity to try a soup or appetizer without fear of overdrafting. Every new thing I try off of the menu is a mouthgasm. What more do you need? They don't do engraved invitations, last I checked.

Great food, fantastic service! Very, very friendly staff. Yummy curry as part of an extensive menu!

  • Chow H.

It's absolutely a delight to eat there. It's a small restaurant with only 1 server but it was not too busy when we get there. We ordered tom yum soup with shrimp and it's a different because it was made with some coconut milk which is unusual compared to others, but it's very tasty and fresh. Pad-see-uw and the pineapple fried rice was very good, it's definitely a place that I will patron again.

I've tried their lunch/dinner menu items few times and just got the Thai Ice tea to-go. So, my review is based on combined experiences from these visits. Food (3/5 stars): Food is decent (balanced flavors and taste like home cooking). I haven't tried all their menu items and have not found any particular dish amazing. However, their portions are on the small side, even for dinner entrees. Not a terrible thing for lunch but expected more from an entree dish (not on the lunch menu) Service (3/5): Nice and approachable servers but service is a bit slow. I usually see one person working the front doing all table services, cashier, phone orders for take out, and bussing the tables... which may explain for the slowness. Its not a big restaurant so be aware of wait time especially if you are with a group of 4ppl more . Thai ice tea (1/5): 16oz cup is mostly ice, half and half with a hint Thai ice tea flavor. Disappointed with what I actually got and how long it took to get it. It doesn't take much time or cost to brew ice tea from prepackaged tea bags. This normally would have been done ahead of time anyway. I can live with wasting $2.50 for a pretty terrible drink. However, it left an impression that makes me hesitant to go back to try different things. If they are skimping on such low cost item like this I can't help but wonder what other things are skimping on. Tripping over dollars to pick up pennies is not good business. Overall, this is my overall experience and impression. Taste, quality, and service matters to me most. I felt they lacked some levels in all these three areas. There wasn't enough good that outweighed the bad for me...

It was the most underwhelming thai food ive ever had. I got the catfish which was fried very well and not oily at all but the veggies and red curry sauce was room temperature. My husband got the lemongrass chicken, it was dry and his sauce/veggies were tempid as well without a hint of lemongrass. The only saving grace was the calamari. It came out hot and fresh, the sauce was so-so though. If not for that I would have given it 2 stars. We were the only people in the restaurant and only one person came in for a Togo order. The waitress was acting like she was afraid to speak to us, very mousy personality. We will not be coming back.

A surprisingly delicious array of Thai food in this strip center near Fry's Electronics. The fresh rolls were crisp and huge. I had Larb , a mint and meat salad and it was top flight. The server was gregarious and fun, and the environs pleasing.

The vegan options are delicious and plentiful at Thai Delight. I eat a lot of Thai food and I feel good about saying that this is some of the best I've had in this area. My husband had the Mango Delight with tofu and I had mixed veggies with tofu. Both dishes were delivered to our table promptly. I only have a couple of concerns with this place. First, the fried spring rolls are essentially filled with a handful of cabbage and it doesn't make them very good, at all. Second, the extra spicy option is equivalent to about three stars at many other Thai restaurants. All in all, though, this is a great little place and I think we'll be back!

Favorite favorite favorite place. I disliked Thai food until I came here 6 years ago with my fiancé. We make a trip at least 2-4 times a month out to Thai Delight. The flavors are very good. I've tried other Thai restaurants after eating here, and I have yet to find another. My fiancé and I always go for the salad rolls, yellow curry, kow soi, or lana's favorite. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have been happy nearly every time. The only times it has not been at its best was when the owner ( and chef) was ill and someone else was cooking for him. I love this place and will always return.

  • Jasen Y.

Bad sign when they serve salad with ranch dressing on it for lunch. Crispy spring rolls were mostly cabbage. I ordered the Green Curry (Thai hot). Although the dish was good, it did not bring the heat I wanted. I also received the smallest portion of sticky rice ever. I would recommend going to the Thai Village across the street

  • Porshe M.

We eat a lot of Thai food... And this is our FAVORITE the food is SO SO good. Try the Masaman curry! We drive from a different city cause they are the best... There is a waitress who is a little different but she's still sweet, I love that it's a family run business... I go there once maybe 2x a week and haven't had a subpar meal yet!

  • A.J. V.

First off, the food here is GREAT! The reason for 3 stars is because I've ate at this place probably 10-12 times and had 3 bad experiences. Maybe the 4th or 5th time my ex found a black hair in her rice. Neither of us have anything close to black hair. More recently, I ordered chicken pad se ewe (my go to lately) and got back to work to find beef. Not a big deal, the beef was ok. My last experience there I found another hair in my pad se ewe. No more Thai Delight for me.

Highly recommend this Thai restaurant! I love their Pad Thai, Pad See Ewe and Pad Kee Mao! Everything I've had here has been delicious. The service is great too!

Valentine Day night. A Saturday at 9:00 pm. Drove up to this place, it was emtpty. The owner, waiter, or whomever, looked out the window and couldn't move fast enough to turn off the Open sign, draw the curtains and lock the door, right in our face. With service like that, no wonder it was empty and dead on a Saturday night. The 4 stars on Yelp must be self given because they certainly don't deserve them. In contrast, Thai Village just across the road was open, busy and welcoming. Must be nice when you can turn away business, specially a party of 10!

  • Sarah D.

I've had take-out here twice and plan to continue. Pad-see-ewe is my go to dish lately. I've had better Pad Thai and Mussaman Curry, but you're kind of limited in Wilsonville. The food is typical (American) Thai food, so don't expect something super fancy, but it tastes good.

    (4)
  • Chad C.

Just had their catfish in a Thai sweet and sour sauce. EXCEPTIONAL!!! Try the Chu Chee catfish as well!! Best Thai in the metro area in my humble opinion.

Visited Thai Delight last night, was pretty happy with it. Price is about the same as Thai Village and the food was just as good. I'll definitely be coming back!

They have great food! The decor isn't amazing but the food is and the owner is so nice. We usually do take out here but the service is good. Definitely the best Thai around.

Lunch specials are a good value. Great tasting dishes without making them too sweet. Often we find places make the food too sweet when they are adapting Asian dishes for the american market. This place was clean easy to order and great food at good prices.

  • Rui Q.

My gosh! At this nearly 5 stars review restaurant, I ordered the seafood. It was a horrible experience. The clarmari was stink!!! Almost everything in that dish was not fresh. How come everybody gives it 4-5 stars? I wish I could give them 0 stars.

I have a hard time finding places to eat lunch from work in WVL, I found it. Oh my drunken noodles on a lunch special to medium spiciness with chicken and ample veggies - so perfect and sinus clearing with my current virus. This is now my go-to lunch place for food and price. Why I had not found you sooner confounds me.

Hmmmmmm... Me pretending to think real hard about how to be frank and not sound like a bitch. I've lived in California (SF and LA area) and I know my kind is probably not appreciated here. The California kind, with the California attitude. No, I'm not that bad! But, I speak the truth. My truth. I've had amazing Thai food. This is just okay. If I'm gonna pay for Asian food (which is rare, because my cooking or mom's is best) it better be worth my dollar. Not a lot of choices here in Wilsonville. Maybe I'll try it again another time, when I'm not in such a bitchy mood. Honestly, I am really a sweet gal... :O)

  • jeff h.

well, between this and thai village, i think that must be most of the good thai chefs in oregon because this place is suprisingly good for a small town. had the chili basil catfish, pad see ew and pinapple curry w/shrimp. the least popular at the table was the pinapple curry, but it was still decent. the pad see ew was the best i've ever had, and i'm not a fan of the dish normally. it was quite sweet here, but it tasted perfect to me. the catfish was very good and had some nice bite to it. you won't be disappointed going here. not as good as the best thai restaurants in southern california, but it's better than most of them!

Food is 3,people nice is 2.That equals 5. We found this place while traveling on the I-5. It's right off the freeway, the atmosphere is friendly, and the food is amazing! I can't wait to eat there again.

A great lunch spot if you are in Wilsonville. I have eaten here several times over the course of the last year while on assignment there. The service is prompt and attentive and the place is kept clean and neat. I have had their tom yum, tom kah, red curry and pad thai as well as their Thai iced tea and iced coffee. If you are in that area and want Thai, it's a great choice. I would not drive out here just to go to this place but it's overall a good value and good food in more than ample portions. If you find yourself in Wilsonville and want to get your Thai on, definitely give it a shot. You will not be disappointed. One tip: If you want lunch there, show up by 11:45 as it gets crowded around noon.

It's really early in the morning, and I can hardly wait until lunch. Why, pray tell? Because I have some seriously kickass Mussaman Curry leftovers from Thai Delight. Thank GOD this place exists, and THANK GOD it exists in Wilsonville. Although it's small and doesn't have the *most* awesome ambiance, the service is charming (and I'm pretty sure it's a family business), and they are super fast. I think. I didn't stay. I ordered to go AT the place, and it took them all of five minutes to get the order out, in the middle of their lunch rush. It's clearly popular: Most tables were full of people enjoying their delicious food. The other really, really SUPER impressive thing about this place is that there are 20--yes I just said TWENTY--options on the lunch menu, and if you limit yourself to tofu or chicken, they're all only $6.50. There's a great selection, from the classic pad Thai to pad garlic, pad se ewe, and lots of curries. So, instead of opting for the usual pad Thai, I decided to go for a curry (why not?). I was not disappointed. The sauce was a perfect combination of creamy and flavorful...not too heavy and not too light. Lots of big chunks of carrots and potatoes and onions complemented with chicken and peanuts. I'm dreaaaaaaming of this place. Yum! And they give you so much, I could barely eat half. So now I get lunch today. Yippee!!!!

I love Curry, this place has the best Panang! However, the fact that they close from 2:30-4:30 is an inconvenience for me. While I enjoy the food and staff, a friend of mine was sorely disappointed when she saw an additional charge on her bill for requesting more rice for her curry (we were given a small bowl to share). That isn't a big problem, just most restaurants we've been don't mind shelling out the rice at no extra cost in those situations.

I tend to pick this location over the Thai Village in Wilsonville. I have had great service and I've had decent service here (both are better than the average no-service I recieve at Thai Village). Their Egg Rolls are some of the best I've ever ordered. Their food has been consistantly good, and their lunch prices are great! So I usually aim for that time of day. Only con is occasionally it is VERY COLD in there haha. So bring a coat.

A very small thai restaurant back off the loop near fry's electronics. I went here for dinner recently. It was a little hard to find. Citazens drive looks a little like an entrance to something. There are actually a bunch of stores and other restaurants back in there. I ordered a chicken curry dish with noodles. The server was very nice and willing to substitute or add veggies etc. I ended up with a plate that was more or less custom made. It didn't take very long to get the food (about 15 minutes). I didn't really think they gave me very many noodles and when the server asked how everything was, i sort of mentioned that. She had no problem bringing me out a small bowl of extra noodles at no extra charge. I was really happy since there were a lot of veggies in the dish and no way to really soak up all of the really good curry sauce at the bottom. I was really impressed with the service and good food there. The atmosphere was typical for small restaurants, but pleasant enough. I will go back when in the area.

  • Sung L.

We've eaten at this restaurant a couple of times. We've tried their Pad Thai, Massaman Curry and Pad Kee Mao. I ordered everything extra spicy but they couldn't hit the mark on that request. I would categorize the food we tasted as generally under seasoned. No complaints on the service or dining area.

Thai Delight in most people's book is a delight. But for me it's A-ok without a huge following from my party. The food is good, the service is very good, and the prices are reasonable. I have visited Thai Delight on at least four occasions. During the most recent visit I had the Pad Ke Mao wide noodle with spicy basil, vegetable, and tofu. I found the grey look to the noodle and vegetable to be a little unappetizing. It looked bland from the very beginning. The flavor was ok, the tenderness of the noodle was fair (slightly tough), and the tofu was adequate. There was a flavor I could not place from any other Thai restaurant. It was a spice of sorts that was unidentifiable. In my opinion this is the flavor sought by many giving Thai Delight a higher than average rating. If you ever find out what it is, please let me know. In the past I have only had the Pad Thai; 2 star at best. If you are in the hankering for a good Pad Thai, write me and I'll tell you my favorite place and it won't be Thai Delight. If this was the only Thai restaurant in Wilsonville I would be a regular; but for me, there is another choice.

I have been here multiple times and it has always been an amazing experience. The service is second to none and they serve the best Thai food I've ever had. I took my parents there last week and it was their first Thai experience. They loved it! The waitress can explain anything on the menu and the cook (owner) will even come out and make sure you are satisfied. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting an authentic Thai experience!

Good food at a decent price. Me and my wife went around 5:30 on a Friday night. It was empty except for 1 other family, so we got our food pretty quickly. We started with the combination appetizer. It included chicken satay, fried crab wontons, spring rolls, and fried tofu. The chicken satay was pretty standard, a little dry, but otherwise fine with the provided peanut sauce. The wontons were nice and crispy, and had a very different flavor profile than the standard cream cheese and fake crab ones I'm used to. It was spiced with something I'm still not quite able to identify, but they weren't bad. The spring rolls were good dipped in the sweet and sour sauce they had. I'm not a big fan of tofu, but I did try a bite and it had a nice texture to it. For the main course I had the Pineapple curry with shrimp, Medium+ spice level. It was excellent. The creamy coconut milk blended nicely with the other spicy spices and fresh sweet basil. My only mistake was ordering medium+, as I am used to more watered down spice levels at other thai places. It was definitely medium+, and I'm more of a medium kind of guy. My wife had something called "Lana's special", a sort of light peanut curry with noodles i think. She said it was very good as well. The atmosphere is quaint. Low lighting and a few pieces of hanging art. Sort of a local art gallery feel. Overall, a positive experience. Would definitely visit again the next time we're in the area.

I have been here many many times and love it. The food is the best Thai food I have ever had. I have gone to many Thai restaurants to find a close second and nothing compares. I highly recommend the Thai fried rice and Pad garlic. I have not had one thing off of this menu that I didn't like. Great food and great service. Stop in here for a quick lunch or come in for a nice dinner. You can't go wrong.

I have been going here for years. I found out about Thai Delight from a waitress at Typhoon in Portland. I have ate an assortment of dishes and they have all hit the spot. Personally my favorite dish is the pineapple curry, with chicken. Every bite shows how much pride is put into this food. It truly makes a difference when the Chef actually eats his own dishes. The service is outstanding, and the food is always fresh and hot. It's a family business, and If you are looking for truly authentic Thai food this is a must!

I have been here many times for lunch and dinner and have never been disipointed. This is by far the best Thai food around and it is very authentic.

I love this place. I love the food, the service. It is a small place, nothing fancy but the food quality is awesome!

My co-workers and I have eaten lunch here on a regular basis for several years. The food is fantastic. The owner, Chai is the sole cook. His small family and hand selected staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The value for the food is amazing. Read the other reviews and go experience some of the best thai food around.
