Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I thought this was pretty good. Had the shrimp burrito and the fish burrito. Salsa was tasty. A good option for a fast take out burrito or taco in veneta. The owner was nice and takes pride in his food. very clean kitchen. Call ahead and he will have it ready.

No no no, sorry didn't cut my qualifications for a good burrito, although the food truck was clean and professional.

Excellent, unpretentious, street style Mexican food! Owner/Chef Luis Labastida knocks out nosh of a surprising caliber that's not usually expected from a semi-permanent structured, walk up, take out, taco shop, place such as this. But the food is great! Almost everything is made in house, from scratch. House made flour tortillas for all the burritos and quesadillas add a fresh baked bread note to every bite. When you order a fish taco, Luis opens the fridge and pulls out a piece of fresh raw fish, dredges it through his perfectly balanced batter and dunks it into the fryer. When you order the beef or chicken, they too are cooked to order. The only thing pre made is the pork. But carnitas style pork just cannot be cooked to order unless you order it say, a day in advance. The thing i really appreciate is the lack of over salted food. Most Mexican fare one gets is way too salty for my taste, but Luis cuts the salt way back to the point where I find myself actually salting my plate of mexican food. A refreshing concept that I had previously not ever entertained. The lack of salt really allows you to taste the freshness of the ingredients he uses. Never have I seen a tired piece of cabbage or cilantro on any dish I've ordered. I think he even slices the limes to order for every individual dish. Attention to freshness and detail like this is rarely found in large restaurants let alone taco shops. This is some of the best and most authentic Mexican food in The Eugene area! If you're in or passing through Veneta, it's a must stop! Even worth the trip out of Eugene. I recommend: Fish Tacos, Pork Tacos, Fish Burrito, Chicken Quesadilla (with spicy guacamole), Beef Torta.

UGH ITS SO GOOD! I totally recommend going there if you ever pass through Veneta. Their taco shells are homemade, and they give you an appetizer while you wait for your food. The service is great, and trust me, the food is delicious!

Wanted to love this place, based on the great reviews....but I was SERIOUSLY underwhelmed. Carne asada taco was 90% refried beans and the flavors just weren't there. Tried the pork, carne asada and fish tacos....PASS!!!!

Don't get asada tacos with spicy guacamole. . Not a good kind of spicy. More of a burn your mouth until you can't eat anymore.

The fish tacos are to die for! I've ordered them multiple times and Los Primos never lets me down. The pork selections are also quite tasty.

Absolutely delicious! Los Primos is my favorite taco place by far! All of the ingredients are fresh and your food is made by hand when you order it. Definitely a must-try!!

I would rather eat Burrito Boy than ever eat here again. Keep in mind, I will never eat Burrito Boy again. Wildly overpriced ($6.00 for a underfilled, flavorless and over lettuced burrito - Dixie likened the abundance of lettuce and lack of meat to that of a Subway sandwich), suspect ingredients (is that freezerburn? Is this supposed to be guacamole?) and without a redeeming quality. I don't mean to be so harsh, I just had high hopes for this place. Too bad.

Great tacos and other food. Fish tacos are awesome.

Very good Mexican food. Don't let the little trailer fool you! They have a good menu and will customize any order! My favorite lunch spot

Honestly the best burrito cart I have ever been too! Real Homemade mexican food, not the over salted burrito boy/amigo type burritos. Authentic hand made salsas and tortillas!! My favorites are any of the breakfast burritos with added hash browns, sour cream, and guacamole (delicious!!!) then also any of the other lunch burritos with rice, cheese, and guacamole. Luis, the owner, is a great person too! Super friendly and a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner!! Or all three!

Best tacos in Eugene? They're out in Veneta. I couldn't speak to the rest of the menu because I tried the pork tacos ($2 each!) and they are so incredible that's all I ever get. Topped with cilantro, fresh onions, and a spicy guacamole sauce. A vegetarian co-worker swears by the fish tacos too. Worth the turn off 126!
