Really really bad. We walked in, they sat us down at a dirty table, with food remnants on the chairs too. Told us they were out of the special (prime rib.) We reviewed the pizza lists, looked around at the chaos, and left. The place was too busy to clean up out where the customers can see, what is like back in the kitchen?! No thank you!

Just moved to the area and took my family here for dinner. The wait staff was super friendly. Food is tasty and gas good sized portions. The menu is typical diner fare with a focus on pizzas. We have yet to try a pizza, but if it's the same as the rest of the food, we will be back.

*Definitely want to toss venomous sea creatures at the waitresses face* Good food, although, just a moment ago, the waitress came to ask for our drink order and we were not at our table, so she left and them came back with a very poor attitude and took our order, brought the drinks back and then slammed them on the table like we committed some foul atrocities. Now, I'm not one to condone being a jerk to wait staff or any staff for that matter, but I'd probably throw a jelly fish at her face if she ever came to place of employment with an attitude like that.

I like their breakfast menu but I always order an omelet because they are very good and have generous portions. They have great french dip sandwiches and pizzas too. Nice, relaxing atmosphere and good service.

Was reluctant to try since the bad reviews. We recently moved to the area and wanted to try for ourselves and glad we did. It's a small town pizza joint with a good pizza. Pretty clean, good service and tasty pizza. This coming from a manager of a pizza place in college for three years. Don't expect anything fancy, just a good pizza at a good price.

New owner who we met on this trip, seems very nice. My friends had the same pizza as last year and still loved it. This is the best Turkey Melt with Bacon I've ever had and they bring a squeeze bottle of RANCH to the table (yes please!) which is so much better than ketchup for everything. If they had better chairs, it might be perfect. My friend said their wine was bad and sent it back, but this is not the kind of place I'd order wine in anyway. mmmmmmmmBacon.

This place is a joke. I was so excited when I found out it was under new ownership and was going to reopen ( I was sure the health department shut it down the last time). And though the restaurant is now clean, the service has been horrible every time we have been there. We usually call ahead and pick up a pizza like once a month and every time one of us would arrive, we would walk in and be ignored. The waitresses would be behind the counter talking to one another or chatting with someone sitting at the bar. And if the owner is there he is behind the counter playing on his iPad. It has become a sad game that my husband and I take bets on how long one of us would stand at the counter and not be helped, but the food is decent and it's not like we have many options out here in veneta. But tonight was the last straw and we will no longer give them our business. After calling in for a medium pepperoni pizza I gave my husbands name to pick up and when he arrived to pick it up they had cooked a small with extra cheese (yuck). Then the lady, who I spoke with when placing the order, actually ARGUED with my husband in front of other customers and stated that he was wrong and I ordered a small ( keep in mind he was sitting right next to me when I placed the order) I couldn't believe this old lady was arguing with him over a mistake, her mistake at that. The owner offered to remake one but he was so pissed that this old lady yelled at him that he walked out. Such horrible service. Don't waist your time or money.

I returned to The Countryside with trepidation in my heart but hunger in my belly. My fiance and I loved the C-side, as we lovingly called it for years when we lived in Veneta but seeing the polarizing reviews since it reopened, we figured we'd give it a shot. Holy omelet, Batman, were we delightfully surprised! My biscuit was just as moist and dense as I had remembered but there was newcomer to the condiment part of the table that made my biscuiting experience better: honey. Yes please! Now there was a bit of a scandal when it came to choosing my meat side for the traditional Countryside breakfast. Old Countryside used to offer kielbasa as a breakfast meat option and as I love a good sausage, it was indeed my favorite. I loved their kielbasa so much, I have on multiple occasions in the past ordered what I have deemed The Roxy Side, which is a biscuit with a side of kielbasa, served with a Diet Pepsi. The sweet little waitress we had, whom I lovingly call Gidget in my head because despite coming here for years, I still don't know her name, informed me that they no longer have kielbasa but she did recommend the sausage patty as it is still sausage and a full 8 ounces. Hot potato salad, was it delicious! The home fries were a perfect 70/30 ratio of potatoes to peppers and onions, just enough for flavor, not so much that they're filler. My eggs were perfect. The entire meal in fact was so good that, by my last bite, I had completely forgotten kielbasa's name. Is it noisy? Yes. Were they out of toilet paper and I had to wipe with toilet seat covers? Yes. But was it also the best breakfast I'd had and delicious as I remembered and my cup didn't sit empty for more than a minute before being refilled? Extra yes. Well played C-side. Well played. You're all right. I don't care what anyone says about you. You're still the breakfast joint in Veneta I'm gonna ask to the dance.

Fist Day of new Opening 9-14-14 1:40PM I stopped by to see what the place looked like under new management. I walked in and the place looks good, not many people there only 3 tables occupied 3 people behind the counter one looked to be the cook, two others appeared to be waitresses. They all say me come in no one greeted me I stood there for a while with out getting any service and I walked out!! I doubt that I will go back and I doubt that they will be open very long with that sort of service!

On a drive around Fern Ridge looking for some place to eat when we got to Veneta. We drove around and saw about 25 cars outside of Countryside Pizza and decided to stop in. It was packed inside and the waitresses were running. We did stand a while before we were told to sit anywhere we wanted. The menu is not just pizza as the name suggests. We had a hard time deciding on what to order as everything coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful!!! Changed my mind several times, will try the country fried steak the next time. I tried their french dip, very favorful and yummy. My hubby had the triple decker club, there was nothing left on his plate. Our waitress was the best. Told her we were very hungry when we got there and our food was delievered very fast. We only learned that it was re-opening day when we were paying. We will make the drive again soon.

I have a complicated relationship with Countryside. It has potential and the food is OK.To me it doesnt seem " dirty " as much as dingy ... it has been around forever and is very dated. It's like you stepped into a time warp of that small town pizza place your coach used to have trophy banquets at for baseball when you were 10... in 1980.Nothing has changed. The outside is very run down .The pizza isn't good as much as it's sufficient, and if you get the toppings dialed in to your tastes... it is OK, somewhere between pizza hut and DiGiorno. Sundrieds are the worst because they pile a bunch of rubbery sundrieds on top in a big pile, dry and not even melted into the cheese, like an afterthought. I would stay away from anything seafood here too. The greek pizza is OK, and I admit I have enjoyed it in a pinch.Living in veneta your options are very limited and to be honest Figaros is actually better. I have never eaten inside we always take it to go. There is a barely stocked bar off to the side with the usual keno, but they do have a few beers on tap and Ninkasi etc., options. I have eaten the breakfast and it is OK too as well as had a veggie burger there. Again, living in Veneta you learn to compromise, cook it yourself or drive into town. The staff is OK, friendly enough, but nothing special. I have lived in veneta for 10 years and every 6 months I say "let's try countryside again..." so hopeful it could turn ito that great hometown place... and it has never gotten better.

It's a hit or miss with this place, It can be great pizza or it can be crap. At least the wings are consistent. Word out on the street is that it has one of the nastiest kitchens in the county. The service is usually subpar, like no one likes there job or gives a crap.

Unbelievably terrible experience in every way. Much as reviewer Jessica said. Dirty, flies everywhere, rowdy children. Why we did not leave I can't explain. But we were hungry, and the pizza sounded good. Wrong. Frozen pizza from the market would have been better by far. The chicken on it was dry and rubbery, and old tasting. The crust was some pre- made cardboard. Yuck. Ate two pieces, threw the rest away. No refill on the "bottomless" soda, we had to ask. The waitress never asked if the pizza was good, I'm sure she already knew. Had to wait at the unmanned counter for 5 or 10 minutes to get the bill. While waiting, my hubby looked in the kitchen and was horrified... Very dirty, food all over the floor. How this dump stays in business is a mystery. Lesson learned : when still in the parking lot of an untried restaurant, YELP the place before going in.
