I'm currently sitting in a booth at this Shari's and they've been nothing but spectacular. I'm working away from Seattle and they found me a booth with an outlet, served delicious food, and told me that I could work here for as long as I needed. The manager, Stuart is great and the rest of the staff is incredible. Thanks for being my office away from home, Shari's!

My husband and I went to Shari's this morning. Was seated by a young man and we asked for water....30 minutes later...no water, no service. there was hardly anyone in the place and there were 2 managers walking around not doing much of anything. The WORST service I have ever had. When we spoke to the manager, all he kept saying was he was sorry....no offer of gift card, nothing...just "I'm sorry". This isn't the first time we have had bad service..... The customer service at the King City location is great... Tualatin location consistently has TERRIBLE service.

Need a place where you can sit down and feel like you've made dinner for the family...come here. This place used to be Izzy's and has been remodeled and freshly created for a Shari's Restaurant. Nice neighborhood eats where I always run into someone whether it's after baseball practice or a football game in the fall. Also a great place to just sit and catch up with old friends, after all, it's about the cup of coffee and conversation. Note to girls out there who want to run into teenage football players, they are always here after a Friday night game since my son would never want me around within 10 feet of him if I showed up here! For food, it's standard fare...I would rate Shari's two notches above Denny's and two notches below California Pizza Kitchen. Nothing cool and happening here except the people. After all, any time the decor is in oak you really can't expect much. Oh! I suppose oak goes hand in hand with good pies and that is what they have here which is pretty decent! Especially now, they have great strawberry pies!! Ask for whip cream with it!

I enjoy Shari's very much for what it is. They have lessened the portions and reduced the menu choices. They make a pretty good burger, fries, pie, and milk shake. What more would you want? Well I guess it's the less grease I am after. It seems most of their flavor comes from oil, salt, and sugar; actually that sounds good right now. The pricing is just a few bucks above Micky Ds and a few yards better so what the heck. Check it out.

When you can't find a Denny's, Shoneys, IHOP...whatever, there is Sharis. $15 for a Tbone, so can't complain ha Too bad the weather in this hick town sucks :)

Gets the job done. You know the food quality to expect. Don't get all uptight about it. Quick, good breakfast. I had the ultimate chicken fried steak. Huge portion, good food for $10.50. Great service to boot.

We had lived in Tualatin for a whole year and had never given Shari's a try, even though it's less than a mile from our apartment. On a Saturday morning before heading into Portland for a day of rambling, my wife and I stopped in for breakfast. We recently made a change in our diet -- no meat, no poultry -- and was initially worried that we'd be stuck with no options. While there are indeed fewer options for us, the ones they do have are pretty fantastic. I had the Spring Spinach Omelette, which has eggs and spinach (duh) along with cheese, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, and avocado, along with hash browns, a side of wheat toast and delicious blackberry jam. A very nice breakfast! The only con I can think of is that it's a bit pricy for a neighborhood cafe type place. The aforementioned plate was $9ish, and the coffee wasn't of the bottomless variety that pretty much every other place has. That said, the food and coffee were both fresh and tasty, so I don't feel it wasn't worth it. We'll definitely be back.

The best Sharis I've ever been to. It was really clean, and the waitress handled my indecisive friend really really well. The food seems to have become more expensive than I remember (although the price of everything has gone up, along with min wage... So is it reeeally more?). I got breakfast and it was better than I expected. With that said, it's still not my first or second choice of places to go. But with a group of friends who can't decide, itll be a good option to make everyone happy.

Start off: SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE! Came in and no one was at the counter. Waiting for someone to come up and finally a young man came up and we let him to it would be a to go order. The tone this man took with us was just sassy and rude. When I go to a restaurant in a good mood, I do not want to be greeted with someone with a sassy attitude. Shari's is supposed to be a place to go with families. RUDE! AND he didn't even take our order! He just walked right past us, not even informing us that someone else would EVENTUALLY come to assist us. Finally after ordering a small simple order, it took 45 minutes of sitting and waiting. Our food was poorly made too. I'm no stranger to Shari's and I have never seen it that bad. I know they have it in them to give their best, but I am just offended by how we were served today. Customer Service rating : A BIG FAT 0

5 am on Saturday. I'm here right now. Very clean. Kari, my server, has been awesome. My eggs and chicken fried steak cooked perfect! First Shari's in a long time to put a smile on my face.

I'm a repeat offender, I keep going back thinking it'll be better, it's not. It'll do in a pinch, food is just mediocre, presentation of food is poooooor, and service is ridiculously slow when you account for how many workers they have on and how many customers are seated. Not sure how this place survives?! Surely Tualatin can do better than this chain restaurant as it's breakfast centerpiece. The restaurant has gone through a nice transformation, I remember way back in the day when it was the Friday night hangout Izzy's Pizza, dark wood and a kid arcade hallway. Maybe someday Tualatin will get a rock-star breakfast place in this neat location. Plenty of parking and free wifi is a plus.

We attempted to eat their last night and after an hour and a half we still did not have our food. We did get out water promptly, then it took 15 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress to our order and we never she never came to our table again. My son ended up falling asleep because the food took so long to get. The worst customer service ever. We were not the only customers that got up and walked out.

I've only been here once - but it was one of my best experiences in a Shari's ever (and as a rule, I like Shari's restaurants). The interior is nice, clean, attractive, and comfortable. More importantly the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a great time and our food was wonderful. And, while it only matters to some, the men's room had a changing table...which meant my husband got to deal with the diaper. Bliss!

Way, way better service than the Shari's in West Linn. They could use more omelets on the menu. The one I had with shrimp was good. The portions aren't huge. Food was good. Watch for coupons for this place.

After having to wake up at 5 AM last Friday to catch a flight with my family to Portland, Oregon, I have come to two conclusions. First of all, it is obscene to make a human being get out of bed before the sun comes up (especially a senior who is used to late arrival and getting to school at 9:06 AM). Second of all, eat something before you get on the plane. Chances are the mid-flight snack of a beverage and a pack of two cookies just won't cut it (I'm sure the flight attendants would appreciate it if you didn't end up gnawing on your seat cushion). By the time we all got to the place we were staying in Tualatin, Oregon (about a 15 or 20 minute drive from Portland), my family was ready to jump at the first restaurant we saw. Luckily for us, that place just happened to be Shari's Restaurant and Pie Bakery. There were a couple of families already seated at tables around the restaurant, but we were still seated promptly. As we followed our waitress to the table, there was a large refrigerator case that had shelf after shelf of perfect looking pies (apple, no sugar apple, banana cream, burst-o berry, cherry, chocolate cream, peanut butter chocolate, coconut cream, lemon meringue, marionberry, no sugar marionberry, Oreo cream, S'mores, and strawberry rhubarb). Talk about having a hard time choosing just one slice! After we were seated, the waitress gave us our menus and asked if there was anything we would like to drink. My parents and I had water, while my two little brothers decided on chocolate hand-dipped jumbo milkshakes. Throughout the entire dining experience the waitress that seated us, as well as other waitresses that happened to walk by, made sure we had everything we needed (great service overall)! I might have entered the restaurant with a bit of Bay Area IHOP and Baldie's 'elitism', but after looking at the wide range of food they offered at Shari's, and not to mention finally getting to 'dig in', I must give Tualatin's breakfast restaurant its dues. I don't think I've ever been one to struggle over the breakfast menu of a place I'm trying out for the first time. I usually just order pancakes and figure it would be the hardest thing for that place to mess up (but there are instances where I've been wrong). For some reason, the picture of the flat iron steak and stuffed hashbrowns platter had me hooked (you can probably call it a type of 'love at first sight'). So while the rest of my family members ordered their pancakes, I stuck to the hashbrown platter. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive, and I must say that I was very impressed. I'm sure that others have experienced the sinking feeling you get when something you see in a picture doesn't quite match what you get when you order it. I must admit, the smell of the grilled steak and the golden color of the hashbrowns was just beautiful. I looked over at the pancakes of my youngest brother (he's usually the easiest one to grab food from without much of a fight) and the triple stack looked very fluffy and filling. I grabbed hold of my two favorite weapons (a fork and knife of course) and prepared to do battle with the hashbrown platter. The hashbrowns were a perfect balance of a soft center and crispy exterior (not to the mention the delicious filling of melted cheese and sour cream). There were three scrambled eggs that were also cooked well (neither wet and gooey or burnt and dry). Last but not least, I truly believe that the six ounce flat iron steak was delicious enough to turn vegetarians in carnivores (or maybe just an omnivore). One of the biggest surprises had to be the check (and not in a bad way). Having lived in the Bay Area for most of my life, I'm used to stores tacking on the 8.75% sales tax (Alameda County actually has the highest sales tax rate in California). But in Oregon, there is no sales tax! So when the menu says $4.99, you can expect to pay $4.99 (not $4.99 plus an additional $0.44). The reason for this is probably because Oregon has a lottery, and I'm not talking about the random gas station/supermarket kind we have around California. If you look at the picture of the Shari's sign closely, you'll notice a hand with fingers crossed with "Oregon Lottery" written underneath. I really wish I could have gotten a picture of the inside of the restaurant, but it was the most amusing thing I've ever seen. To the right of the cash register was a little room with a clear glass door and inside was what appeared to be a slot machine and a table to seat four. Now that's what I call multi-tasking! After such a positive experience at Shari's, I was disappointed to see that the nearest location in California was one in Sacramento. But if there is any one that happens to be around that area, I definitely recommend a stop at Shari's Restaurant and Pie Bakery!
