Though Starbucks is a chain, some Starbucks locations are better than others. This Troutdale Starbucks is probably right in the middle for quality. It has a nice location by being in a strip mall. They offer plenty of pastries as well as beverages at okay, but not noteworthy prices. I went in in order to have an unsweetened brewed coffee. The order was ready almost immediately. There was a bit too much ice for the $2.50 pricetag however. The Sweet n Low sweetner really brought some flavor out of the coffee at no caloric cost. Music and the baristas tended to be louder than they should. Also, the tables were mostly up high, not good for studying. There is one medium table and one large rectangular table. If they could have more small tables on the ground as a rational person would do so, that would be fantastic. Starbucks in Troutdale satisifies your coffee cravings.

This is the slowest Starbucks. Also the dirtiest. Does not live up to what Starbucks is suppose to be. Every table was dirty. Gross!!!

I have been going to the Starbucks on and off for about five years. Though this Starbucks is busy at times the sconce in service to decline it is generally in a good place to go if you would like a quick coffee; even though there is a Starbucks inside of Albertsons I think it's better to go inside of the Starbucks as opposed to sitting in the middle of the grocery store for coffee it's just kind of an atmosphere thing...

So let's address the speed issue some other posters have mentioned. I've been in this location several times, and have seen both sides of the coin. I've experienced the speed of service that Starbucks strives for, and I've also experienced it being slow as molasses. Currently, I'm sitting here on a busy Saturday morning, and the line was extremely slow. But this is probably because they only had 2 people working on a busy morning. Understaffed for sure! However, Starbucks is Starbucks. Meaning, you know what you're going to get when you come here. I do like the ample seating in this location. They have made really good use of the space. There's some comfy chairs, some high tables and chairs, some regular tables and chairs, and one long table that seats 6 comfortably. Bonus, the bathroom is really nice and clean! If you're leary of cops, don't come here on a weekday morning. I can almost guarantee the Troutdale police will be here. :-)

This is the first Starbucks I have been to this far west. I am not sure if it was the different lifestyle pace, or that my "I want my coffee now, not when I am totally grey" attitude was harshing the mellow vibe, but I feel like I genuinely aged while I waited for my coffee each time I made the mistake of ordering one here. There were not a tremendous amount of options nearby for coffee on the fly, but I know Starbucks and have a bunch of gift cards laying around, so it seemed like a good idea. Maybe it was just my bad luck to get the noobs behind the counter or perhaps it was my rushed corporate scheduling that entirely harshed the mellow - but I would recommend going elsewhere for coffee if you are in a hurry, even if you have those pesky giftcards laying around. The actual coffee? When it came out it was completely fine. It was just the endless waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this location was slow as molasses. It's like they took all the training rejects and put them in this location. This isn't coming from an impatient Los Angeleno either (I grew up 4 blocks away). My drink of choice is literally tea and ice in a cup and should not take 15 minutes. If you want a decent Starbucks, go to the one on Burnside next to Hillcrest Ski and across from Fred Meyer. They were one of the first Starbucks locations in Gresham and know the drill. The one in Gresham Station isn't bad either.

I am still visiting this Starbucks every morning. Last week I walked into a long line and the ladies at the front of the line were taking their own sweet time ordering. I was patiently standing in line when one of the staff members walked over and handed my drink! It was very impressed that she saw me in line, made my drink and brought it over to me to sip on while I stood in line and waited to pay! THANKS!

Bad. That's all. What else is there to say? Slow and under staffed. If you like waiting then this place is right up your alley. Otherwise find another location. You'll age 10 years waiting on these people.

Two thumbs up. Been coming here since it opened way back when. The slow service, just be patient. Don't be that annoying coffee consumer. It's not even that slow.

9:30am on a Tuesday. Not very busy. If I didn't get such attitude from the barista while politely ordering my drinks I probably would have let it go. But she was snarky and asked my name. "Jordan" I respond. I then tell her the names on the next two drinks and she seems annoyed. She takes my card gives it back and looks to the next customer. No "thank you" or anything. No receipt. Whatever, let it go. So I get my drinks (3 grande PSL + 2 shots cinnamon dolce) and on my two companions cups she had written "lady" and "man with dog". Why did we go through the names if you're going to generalize? On top of everything else, these were probably the worst lattes I have ever had. We ended up throwing them away. This all would have been forgiven if the personality of the barista was halfway decent.

I thought the service was okay, they seemed fast enough don't know what people are complaining about . I did want a cheese Danish which I was disappointed they didn't have in stock. Other then that the place is kept in neat order.
