Good Thai food. One of my favorite in Tigard. Reasonable price and fast service. I normally buy a couple of dishes for to go. I placed my order before getting my grocery from HMart. By the time I'm done shopping my food is ready to pick up. I liked their Basil Fried Rice, pad see ew, and papaya salad.
(5)Johnny T.
Having the Pad Pew with pork. Elected to request "not-for-profit spicy" and I was able to enjoy the rich flavours of the vegetables! I am here at the dinner hour. Many customers but seating is adequate at the dining area. Being in a large grocery store, don't be silly and expect a quiet dining. Enjoy the customer commotion and friendly chatter.
(4)Gabe G.
I cone here all the time on my lunch break. I have eaten a lot of Thai food (including in Thailand) and this is some of the best, also the most reasonably priced. The other cool thing is--if you know of a dish not on their menu, they will cook it for you. So good
(5)Kim D.
This place is pretty good. The food is affordable compared to other Thai restaurants. We come here often when we need to do grocery shopping and eat. I rarely have a bad experience here. The staff is also very friendly and willing to give recommendations.
(4)Scott F.
This little restaurant serves affordable, good tasting food. There is counter seating or another common area to eat in, shared withe the other restaurants in side the H Mart Asian market. Thank you and see you next time.

I'm have a regular at DD Thai for 5 years, I come back weekly for their genuine hospitality and premium service. They usually always have seats either at the bar or tables. Orders are made right infront of you. They pride themselves on servicing your food as fast as possible. The curries are astonishing. And entrees are $7.50, how could you beat that?
(5)Yvonne C.
Authentic & quick service ! I love the pineapple fried rice and salad rolls so yummy and fresh! Love there twist on putting a hint of curry in there sauces .Defenitly a place to eat and dash gets very busy on weekends . Seating is at the bar as it is inside Hmart Asian grocery store . Nothing like eating and getting groceries after . Will be coming back
(5)Sudeep B.
Lots of food and very cheap for the portion size. Food is quite delicious and of pretty good quality. The staff are helpful though not overtly friendly.
(4)Cindi B.
Great service, broad menu, fresh flavors cooked up right in front of you. Located inside the H-mart, there is seating for only about 8 people at the counter; so, ordering to-go would be your best bet during a busy mealtime. I had a delicious green curry with a spice level of 3-4 that built up quite a bit as I ate it. From my experience at a number of other Thai restaurants all over the US, they seem to be on the spicier end of the scale. Still good, just be warned!
(4)Andy H.
Simply amazing food. Unique environment, fun staff, good prices and amazing food. Who would have thought to find all this in a grocery store restaurant?
(5)Josh W.
Fantastic!!!! I was skeptical as it is located in the H-Mart but they were awesome. I'm not sure why so skeptical, as we love shopping at H-Mart. We had the basil fried rice with beef. Pork skewers. Cashew chicken. All at medium spicy as my 10 year old daughter was with us. $21.50 fed all 3 of us and we have left overs that could feed 1 more. All super tasty. Spicy enough to add flavor without trying to burn out your butt hole. Service was very good. It's deli style seating so there's not a lot of "atmosphere", but the food was well worth any lack of "restaurant style" My picky 10 year old can't wait to go back. Neither can I.
(5)Alois V.
This place was really, really good. I would give it more stars if not for the spice level of the curry I had. While it was excellent flavor, it was extremely over-spiced. Now before you start calling me a whimp, let me express how much I simply love Thai food, especially spicy Thai food. Having spent about 6 weeks total in Thailand, eating my way from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, to Ko Samui to Koh Pangan, I have had my share of Thai food. DD's was the spiciest Thai food I have ever eaten, over-spiced to the point that I couldn't taste anything. Spicier than anything that touched my lips in Thailand, except perhaps that lady boy in BKK (just kidding). So, it was over spiced, and I liked it, but why just three stars? When she asked me, "how spicy on scale one to five?" it seems my response of "three" would mean spicy but not nuclear. Think about it, "one" would mean mild, "two" would mean spicy but still pretty tame, "three" would seemingly mean about "medium plus", "four" would mean hot hot hot, and "five" would be daring the chef to make it as hot as they could. If my level three sent tears to my eyes, four and five would send me to the ER. The other menu items looked good, several people ordered the pineapple fried rice while I sat there trying to eat my spice-fest curry. The menu is inexpensive. I look forward to returning and trying a level one panang.
(3)Alex L.
authentic, fast, and yummy Thai food for only $7.5. Pad kee Mao with chicken and larb are my favorites. Fried rice is very good too. plus Great service.
(4)Arinda P.
I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently delicious and the service is impeccable. I've had the pad Thai, basil fried rice, somtum, fried chicken wings, Larb with sticky rice, the wonton soup, and the radnah - everything is seasoned and cooked perfectly! My only warning is their spice level. I eat very spicy on a daily basis. And when I say spicy, I mean eating Thai chili peppers in my food or adding freshly minced Thai peppers to my cooking. Almost all Thai restaurants have disappointed me, but DD Thai exceeds my expectations! I cannot handle their 5 star spice level and have to hover around 3-4 stars. Most people would probably be good around the 2 star level. If you're in the area, definitely stop in. They have great food for reasonable prices!
(5)Jeff D.
Our noodles, which were supposed to be hot were cold. the meat was good, or I would have given it zero stars. Service was very friendly towards the Asian people they were eating there, but not to us white people!
(2)Nick A.
WHAT A HIDDEN JEM !!! U can find DD Thai inside Hmart in tigard . Great service food was prepared fresh beautifully presented and the flavor was fantastic !! I would highly recommend anything coming out of this kitchen !
(5)Miz C.
Got papaya salad (level 2 spicy), pad kee mao (level 3 spicy, and it burned real good) and the pork larb at level 4 ( I am pretty much drooling onto my phone while writing this because level 4 is super spicy) everything is DELICIOUS. Next time, I'll stick to level 2 and 3 spicy tho, I'm gonna pay for this tomorrow lol.
(4)Michael M.
My wife is Korean and we spent years living in Asia. This is one of the top Thai restaurants we have been to. I have no doubt they could compete with larger and fancier restaurants. First don't ask for more than 3 stars in terms of heat or your teeth will melt. We had green curry chicken and basil rice. Both excellent! The meat was tender and all of the veggies were crisp. You can't go wrong here but be prepared for a casual down Home atmosphere. It is set up like a diner with stools and a counter. I never hand out 5 stars but I did here.
(5)Simi P.
The food for this place is frakin' amazing. We ordered take out for the office - be warned when picking up - the restaurant is inside of a market so it's a little tricky to find the first time. The woman at the front desk was incredibly nice and patient. Are food was ready on time and was fresh to boot! The green curry smelled just as good as it tasted. The beef was tender and full of flavor. They had no problem replacing my rice with steamed veggies... which were bright in color and retained some of their crispness. The salad rolls were full of basil and shrimp instead of iceberg lettuce. WARNING: Their spice is not for the feint of heart. I'm normally a bring on the tears kinda gal when it comes to my heat meter and their food kicked my arse. The highest amount of spice any of us requested (myself included) was 3 stars, because I was warned in advance by other Yelp! reviewers. It was really hard stomaching the spice, and in fact I had to stop at once point and let my stomach settle down. The next time - and there will be a next time - I suspect I'll drop it down to 2 stars. If you're looking for a fairly inexpensive new Thai joint and you're in the Tigard area you can't beat this place.
(4)Eli W.
Don't get me wrong, for the price, the food is amazing. The problem lies in management. I've visited often enough to know that the very angry guy who answers the phone is the owner. He is also apparently the only cashier. Did I mention he has very obvious anger problem? I have walked away from the counter and just bought myself disgusting mcdonalds on multiple occasions because I was so put off by the way this guy handles customers in front of me. Let me close by saying it is worth it, if you can handle the piss poor service. (As an addendum, if you yourself also have an anger problem, don't go here or you may leave in a police car after punching that douche in the face.)
(1)Rob S.
OK, definitely not a fine dining date night, but just may be some of the best eating I have had. A food court style "lunch counter" in H-Mart (along with several other Asian style food counters I have yet to try). We ordered take out, the food tasted fresh and flavorful not too salty or msg'y I ordered pad red (extra spicy #2) great, spicy but not too hot for me . Also ordered Thai basil chicken and satay chicken, all excellent, we will be back. I'll be hard pressed to walk past Thai Fusion so I can try out the Korean, Vietnamese or other food purveyors located in H-Mart. Easy to find right next to Bi-Mart
(5)Tegan G.
This place sucks. The guy is super cranky and both times I have been here they have gotten my order wrong. I just went and asked for green curry without eggplant, bell peppers and bamboo shoots and tofu for the meat and they literally made it with all the vegetables I asked not to have and chicken AND the kicker is I stood there as the girl wrote my order down and walked her through it like three times!!! Soooooo peeved!!! I do not live close and made the mistake of waiting till I got home to see if they botched it and sure enough... I do not recommend it. All the ladies are very nice but like I said the guy seems to have always woken up on the wrong side of the bed, not pleasant.
(1)Daniel C.
Wow, I don't even know how this happened. Well...I do, but it was random, and I'm glad I came here. When my tire had a blow-out I had to stop at a nearby business to get my tire fixed, so I decided to cruise around this shopping center on HWY 99 to see what's going on. I stopped in the H-Mart to grab a snack because I was hungry, but I got much more than I expected. They had their own Thai fusion restaurant near the deli, DD Thai Fusion. It was pretty damn delicious!!! I ordered the Thai Cashew dish, but I had to order it special because I'm on my summer diet. So I wanted chicken and vegetables, no rice, and they made it to order no problem with extra chicken and veggies with no rice, at no extra charge;) Awesome! It tasted terrific as well. The Thai fish sauce they had at the bottom of the plate was to die for. I would have licked and drank off the plate had no one been watching! Overall, I would come here anytime I was in the area shopping and needed a nice lunch. It's in a grocery store, so I'd never come here for dinner or for a date. For the best lunch in the area though, all you need is $8 and an empty stomach!!!
(5)George S.
We stopped by to get some food after a hike. Prices are low, but you get what you pay for and the quality is just ok. Nothing bad, but nothing special.

DD Thai Fusion is THE BEST TASTING THAI FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN!!! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and skilled! The chef is extremely talented at creating the tastiest and most visually appealing specialties and she serves huge portions of family inspired Thai recipes! Tippy and Charlie the owners are committed to serving the highest quality Thai food at bargain prices! They are open 10:30 am - 8:00 pm 7 days a week! There is additional seating in the dining area across the isle if the counter is full!! The Pad Thai with beef is FANTASTIC!! Its my go to favorite! Every dish is excellent and PLENTIFUL!! My husband enjoys the Chow Mein with beef and pork hot level 5!!! He says he is in hot hot spicy heaven!!! The crab wrappers are delicious! There are over 30 dishes and appetizers to enjoy! Ive had almost all of them and I really love every one! You'll find DD Thai Fusion inside the HMart on hwy 99 a mile and a half west of hwy 217 South. The Great tasting food, cleanliness and fast personal service makes this hot food spot #1 in our favorite Thai spots in Southwest Tigard, OR. THANKS Tippy and Charlie for the many years of fabulous, inexpensive Thai food and excellent, fast, friendly service!!!!! DD THAI FUSION IS THE BEST!!!
(5)Pui S.
I go to H-Mart about once a month (at least) and just walk by DD Thai Fusion. Today, I didn't walk by, I stopped by and ordered a very yummy dish "Larb chicken & stick rice" for only $7.50, huge portion and VERY VERY YUMMY! Taste = REALLY REALLY GOOD! Services = GREAT Portion = HUGE Price = GOOD Hot Tea = FREE
(5)Ariel P.
I absolutely love DD Thai Fusion! The owner is such a sweet lady, super friendly and always puts a smile on my face. The food is so dang delicious. I always order the Pad Kee Mao, and I am never disappointed.
(5)Dan N.
Okay, so it's the mid-day on a Friday, maybe 12:30, and my rumbly has a tumbly. I've got to meet with someone at 1:00, so I'm looking around for quick bites and stumbled upon this place. It's almost a small stand attached inside an Asian food store. I've had mixed experiences with such places but I'm hungry and on a severe time budget so DD Thai Fusion will have to do for now. They have all the typical foods you'd expect at a Thai place: Tom Kha (coconut milk soup), Pad Thai, etc. Now, I've never been to Thailand. My only experience with the Thai is the various restaurants around Portland serving it. So I can't honestly say this is great compared to what you'd get in Thailand. But we're not in Thailand. We're in Portland. So I'm going to compare it to the several other Thai places I've eaten at up here. I ordered the Pad See Ew (fat noodles, meat, veggies) which they offer with chicken, beef or pork (maybe lamb, too--I can't remember). I chose the beef. They have a 1* to 5* mild to wild spicy range. I picked 3* as I like a bit of burn to mine but never go for top of the scale the first time as sometimes that can be violently dangerous---and I was meeting someone in a half hour---caution was in order here. I sat out in the common eating area and the food arrived in about 10 minutes. Okay, one bite in and I came to my conclusion: this is the best Pad See Ew I've ever had. Bar none. It was full of flavor. It was appropriately spicy as I requested but there was more than that. There was a nice complexity to it, great flavors in and from the veggies, meat was tender, etc. Just fantastic. In and out in about 20 minutes. Perfect. Service was excellent (I think the owner herself was waiting the tables--she came by at least several times to check on how I was doing and to ask if I'd liked it---unusual for a food-court--nice touch; I was impressed anyway). Excellent. I'll definitely be back.
(5)Chris C.
This restaurant is located inside an grocery store. It was a Haggen's before it was shut down. As soon as you enter the store take a right and walk about 30 feet. An overhead sign greets you. I would never have guessed that my new favorite fast thai restaurant would be located inside essentially an Asian Safeway. The two sisters working behind the counter are sweet and accommodating. LET me be clear though.......they have a 1-4 scale on heat/spice. Whatever number you typically select at other thai establishments needs to be knocked DOWN a number here. I think two is perfect........but you'll feel it in the morning. Trust me.
(4)Marc T.
What a deal! We got the Masa man curry and a thin wide noodle dish my nephew has whenever he can. Fresh & tasty! They cook the food right there in small woks where you can see. It's as good as anything I can get back in Honolulu. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Portland again!
(4)Rish I.
Great value and very tasty food! But be careful how many spicy stars you get. I got only 2 stars and it was almost too hot.
(5)Ric B.
The food is great! The quality is really high and the people behind the counter are very friendly!
(5)T. I.
I tried their Panang Curry, One star for spiciness. It was delicious! Not too spicy, like I wanted. They let me subsitute any veggies and pick from three meats for the same price. The man who helped us (I think he may have been the owner) was very friendly. We were there ten minutes before they closed, but he was patient while we figured out what we wanted. We saw him serve up a thai iced tea, when I asked for one and he let me try it before I bought it. His wife (i'm guessing) gave us more while we waited for our food. She showed us how much rice we were getting and asked if it was enough. Thai is my favorite Asian food and this will definitely be my go to spot. You get what you pay for, extra mile on the service. Great Place!!!
(5)Larry C.
Fresh, Fast, Accurately Prepared Thai Cuisine. We go here at least twice a month. Our favorites are the curries and stir fry. Menu is comprehensive, everything we've had has been fantastic, just the right amount of heat as we specify it. Really like the open kitchen and their food prep hygiene. Fresh ingredients from the Korean H-Mart they are located in. Only beer and wine would make it better.
(5)Erick B.
We were new to the area, and I searched for a place nearby to eat. I saw this place with the good reviews, and the fact it was inside H-Mart was a big surprise. However, we took the risk and tried a few dishes. All I can say is that it was a good risk indeed. We were greeted by the sweetest lady, who I'm guessing was either the manager or owner, and she knows what customer service is supposed to be. We ordered the basil fried rice, cashew nut chicken, garlic pepper chicken, and the Tom Kha. Everything was excellent and the portion sizes were more than ample. Their garlic pepper dish was phenomenal, and for us garlic lovers there is no better meal. The Tom Kha was excellent as well, and they were willing to make our dishes in whatever heat range we desired. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this place on the food alone, but the friendliness and great customer service are the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back...
(5)Jeremy J.
I feel like anyone who would rate this 4/5 stars has not driven far enough down the street to try Pacific Breeze. Tried the Pad Thai and Mussaman Curry here and took it to go. The wait time was acceptable, not too slow but definitely not fast. The best part of the meal was basically the portions. Two entrees, $15, enough to feed us both twice. Definitely affordable. However, they didn't pack enough rice for the amount of curry they give you. The curry itself could have used just a little more flavor, and the Pad Thai seemed very dry. Overall the experience just seemed lacking. No great service, nothing that welcomes you to the restaurant, no flavor...I can't see myself coming back instead of going down 99 another half mile to Pacific Breeze
(2)Michelle R.
Surprisingly pleased with this place! I wasn't expecting a lot with it being inside hmart but it was very good! There were two people running it tonight - one very grumpy man and a super sweet woman. The man actually set his tray down at the people next to me and said "I'm really busy so figure it out yourselves" the woman apologized for his rudeness. I split the pad Thai and green curry with my daughters, they ate all the pad Thai only as the curry was way too hot for them. Everything was very good especially considering the small price tag! $7.50/entree
(4)Bernadette M.
This place is located in the H Mart grocery store and it is surprisingly good! The Pad Thai was really on point and the Chicken Curry was spicy and served with rice. I would definitely eat here again! Oh and its cheap too!
(4)Ron C.
I have dined here approx 200 times. All dishes are $7.50. Add $2 if you want fish instead of chicken, pork or beef. Thai home cooking, large portions, OK service, basic diner inside large Asian food market. Try the Mango Paradise. Yummy....! ( not sweet ) delicious sauce. This place serves authentic Thai food.
(5)Jennifer L.
Food was delicious and service was great. We had their mango sticky rice, pad see ew, and wonton noodle soup. The pad see ew was well-made. Not too greasy or salty or sweet. The noodle was soft but not clumpy. The chicken was a little dry. The mango was too tart though personally I love me tart fruits. The rice was sweet but not overly sweet or drenched in coconut sauce. My boyfriend would have liked it if they up all the sweetness a few notches. The wonton noodle soup was tasty but I swear it tasted and looked EXACTLY like the CP shrimp wonton noodle bowls you can buy from Costco except with some baby bok choy and garnish. I felt they cheated. Price was reasonable. You pay a few bucks less compared to most Thai restaurant for the same or better quality food. Portion was good.
(3)Jenni B.
Really good, affordable, fast Thai food! The service is remarkable. The woman who served us was really helpful in explaining several of the dishes to us, and the level of heat, which is 1-5 stars. Our soup was 1 star and it had nice heat. We will be back for sure! PS- their peanut sauce for the salad rolls was the best we have had!
(5)Julie O.
I had the Tom Yum here and the Thai basil fried rice...its fantastic!! Everything about this authentic-right inside H-Mart -restaurant is just superb. The cook who is Thai is a sweet old lady, she gives you a lot of food and if you eat there they refill your rice and drink free of charge. (Other places charge for extra rice) i went here w/ my sister and daughter and what an experience. Look kinda' ghetto from the outside but these hole-in-the-wall restaurants is what i focus on when looking for authenticity.. And we support the smaller biz restaurants not the huge chain ones. Everything about this place is really good go here they have just about everything! From sushi, bulgogi, soup, skewers, salads, pad thai, fried bangkok noodles etc.. Etc... I crave for this place when i head back to Olympia. This is our favorite place for Thai food!
(4)James B.
This is one of the best kept secrets in the area. I have a great deal if experience with authentic good. These folks make the best outside of Thailand! Exceptional curries, large portions and fast service. The PaNang Nuea(beef curry) is the best I've had in years! This gal really knows her way around the kitchen. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
(5)Nikee W.
This tasty, well priced gem is hidden within H-Mart, but is well worth the trip in. You can eat in the stores dining area, or sit at the kitchen bar and chow down, or take your food to go. They have traditional items that are labeled on a large menu with pictures and the names of the items in Thai. I had been asked to pick up some drunken noodles but could not locate on the menu anywhere. I finally had to ask and I was directed to pad kee mao. The employees are all very sweet and attentive. I got my food to go and they had everything all packed up nice and warm with all the sauces a girl could need. My favorite item had to have been the salad rolls. They are cheap, perfectly assembled, mega delish and huge! I will return for them often as they are easily the best salad rolls i've ever had.
(5)Laura H.
I've written a few tips; now it's time to get serious and write a review. Love, love, love this place for its great quality of food, great portion size, and the very friendly folks who own this place and work there. They offer tea and water to drink while you wait if you are getting your food to go (that's what I've done on both occasions I've been here; I've never eaten in the food court itself). The wait is never very long. I am on a salad roll and basil fried rice kick lately. I've gotten the basil fried rice here with chicken and again with shrimp. I've gotten it "2 star" spicy and "3 star spicy." My hubby LOVED the 3-star spicy fried rice, but that kicked my whimpy suburban butt, so I think we'll be going back down to 2-star spiciness, at least for me, next time. The salad rolls are massive and oh-so-fresh. The last time I was here, I also picked up a few orders of the yellow curry with chicken, and that was delicious with big chunks of vegetables (onion, potato and carrot) and chicken. You'll have food left over, even if you have the hungriest family to feed. This is my family's new favorite in Tigard.
(5)Hanna S.
We have been getting Thai food from here and this the best Thai food in town. Great taste, great price and great service. Always friendly and accommodating. Lots of variety and flexible according to customer request. We get food from them all the time.
(5)Nancy M.
I love this restaurant, which sits inside an Asian market. The owner (DD) makes everything from scratch, even the Thai spices. If you want atmosphere, don't look for it here. If you want wonderful, inexpensive food and a friendly staff, this is the place to go.
(5)Saul R.
Amazing, amazing, amazing, in the old days! ºnº Pad Kee Mao, Mango Paradise (with flat noodles instead of rice) and Panang Curry (order light oil!) are SUPERB. I eat here every week. Love it, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Update: They have been going downhill in the last year. Charlie, the owner's husband is kind of a douche. And their spicy level is all over the place now, sometimes two stars is just right and sometimes one can barely eat the food, it is so hot. The flavor is also gone down hill. Too bad.
(3)Paul B.
Best ever, complex flavors and textures, I recommend the pa nang curry, her tom kha soup, the pumpkin curry when available. And the pad prik king!!! They are all great people.
(5)Daisy T.
Mostly great dishes whether you're in for lunch or dinner but what's keeping it from being 5 stars you may ask? All dishes start at $7.95 and up which is way high for location and service provides. There are better choices with more attractive prices around here. I'd come here only if I ran out of ideas for dinner or running late to feed the kids!
(3)Paddy P.
very good meal three others at the counter were complimenting their food seating nearby if you want to sit down at a table or the counter is full. looking forward to trying more of their menu when I'm in the area. simple establishment fast service GOOD FOOD!
(4)Rusty W.
solid
(3)Richard S.
The first time my family and I ate here we thought it was OK. The second time the food was awful - we had 3 different dishes (chow mein, pad Thai and garlic pepper chicken) and we couldn't finish any of them. All were very poorly seasoned and too oily - like they had just been thrown together carelessly.
(2)adam p.
What is not to love? Huge portions everything is $7.50 and super authentic and fresh and cooked to order. I had the TomKha soup with chicken and was impressed when is came with 3 mini egg rolls on the house! After a big lunch I strolled though H-mart to let the food settle a little. What a fun store.. An entire freezer full of different kinds of frozen pot stickers was a pretty cool sight. Make sure you check this place out if you are a Asian food junkie like me!
(5)Cathy H.
I've found my new favorite Thai place! I moved to the neighborhood recently and needed a new spot to pick up Thai food, and Yelp did not do me wrong! In addition to making the amazing Pad Thai with chicken and salad rolls (enormous servings, btw), the folks at DD Thai Fusion were ridiculously fun and friendly. Super highly recommended...terrific food and service. Enjoy!
(5)Bori G.
One of my favorite new spots! I frequent the new soup place they just opened up next door (owned by the same owner) my FAVORITE Is the sukiyaki.. I can't ever get enough of it. customer service is a bit lacking, but that's not what I go there for.
(4)Russ C.
I got the Tom Kha to go and was less than enthusiastic. The soup was poorly seasoned and did not have enough coconut milk. I will try the other restaurant in H-Mart since my buddy had a much tastier meal.
(2)Mike G.
I've walked by this restaurant for the past 3 months on my weekly shopping trip to H-Mart. It's easy to pass by. The numbered menu board, small amount of bar seating, and cafeteria look don't scream great food. Fortunately the food is much better than the decor. In fact, I found it to be some of the best in Portland. Although there was no red curry on the menu, the owner was happy to prepare some without the slightest hesitation. She said they can make just about anything. She was accommodating to our vegan diet and took out any dairy and held the fish and oyster sauce and added tofu. I got an order of red and green curry to go and was very happy with the quality, taste, and portions. Both meals were large enough for a dinner and lunch the following day. Happy to be going back here again today. I should say that there is a large sitting area with high chairs, TVs and plenty of tables just to the side of the restaurant in the food court area of the H-Mart.
(5)Shawn H.
Pad Thai is delicious!!!!
(5)Thang V.
Great service! Im totally diggin The mango and sticky rice....damn! My wife and I have some restrictions and they catered To them with no problems. Big portions, good food! Will definitely recommend it to everyone!

Scenario: Sunday evening, my hungry boyfriend and I are trying to figure out a place to eat for dinner. Of course we check out Yelp to find something nearby. We come across DD Thai Fusion. Great reviews, close to home.. why not? Menu: Salad rolls Yellow Curry with chicken, for the bf Pad See Ew with tofu, for me For starters, the gentleman taking our orders seemed like a nice enough guy. But he also seemed a little aloof. We had a difficult time understanding him and it appeared he had a difficult time understanding us. That's ok, it was loud there. The service was quick, but the food wasn't as amazing as I had hoped after reading all the great reviews. Don't get the wrong, everything was packed with flavor..but I felt the quality of ingredients was only sub-par. I couldn't understand why everyone was raving about salad rolls, I mean, c'mon..they're salad rolls. I've had enough in my lifetime to know that it takes a bit to mess that up. Yelpers were right, they were decent sized rolls, but nothing spectacular. The peanut sauce though, might I add, was really good. Thick in consistency (I hate runny peanut sauce) and it was served warm. YUM! Now for the curry, good..flavorful, but tasted more like Malaysian curry than Thai curry, but still delicious. We both asked for 2-stars, don't get me wrong..I'm not a wuss when it comes to spice, but I like to have the heat but also be able to enjoy the food that I'm eating. Our food was definitely spicier than 2-stars, it was almost not enjoyable. My pad see ew's flavor was amazing. Great flavor; not-so-great noodles. I prefer my rice noodles to be soft and almost gummy, like how rice noodles should be. Their noodles were more chewy with crunchier sides. Not so much for me. All-in-all, like I said..great flavor, but we'll probably go down the street to Pacific Breeze if we want Thai food next time.

The food was delicious. The prices were, ostensibly, appropriate. I am a broke-ass traveling student, and I stopped in here on a road trip. I was grateful to find affordable food; I spent my last $8 on the yellow curry. Today I discover they charged me $15. I do not have $15. I had $8. This blows. What is a penny-pinching pupil supposed to do; call a curry joint in another state and ask for $7 back?

Hands down one of the best tasting (and great value. $7.50 will get you portion sizes large enough to feed two people) Thai foods in the entire Portland area. The owner is super friendly and with the exception of the fact that one has to wait a VERY long time to get food during lunch or dinner (that goes to show how popular it is. Too bad they only have the one female chef) this is my go-to Thai place.

The food was not that good. My cashew chicken tasted like it had fish in it. The pad Thai was not good either. A couple of the employees were arguing with each other when we arrived as well which made it awkward

Good price with large portions. Food is good and the woman who works there is very very funny. Def will come back

I am new to the Tigard area and so was relying on Yelp to find a good Thai place. I was a little hesitant with it being inside of a grocery store. But I was glad I went. Good food and really reasonable prices. It is on my "go back" list. One thing to note, if you like spicy food get at LEAST 3 stars.

LOVE this little Thai food counter tucked away within a Korean market. Papaya Salad, Roast Pork are to die for! No hype. Just simple, delicious Thai food at very very reasonable prices. It's a great find. What they lack in ambience they more than make up for in the quality of their food. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

Finally tried this place and it exceeded my expectations!! The cook is legit and so are the ingredients! The owner lady is super nice and great with suggestions if you can't decide. So we ordered their pad ke maow, pad Thai, chicken wings and noodle soup. My biggest pet peeve with pad ke maow is when places don't use fresh never dried rice noodles, and they didn't!! I was soo happy! Everything was flavorful and not over done, it hit the spot! Def will be trying their papaya salad next time, the cook looked like she can make a mean papaya salad.

Excellent food, clean, short wait time, food is hot n fresh, and the cooks are over the top friendly!!

Great food, and a very nice person at the counter! I think she is the owner, but am not sure. In any case, a very pleasant, personable experiences, and the food is very fresh -- made right in front of you. (At least the final assembly. The stock for my Tom Yum had to be made before. :) I am surprised that one person's review talked about small portions. Just the opposite, from what I saw -- they are big, probably bigger than most of us should eat for one mean. I had to ask for a container to take home what I couldn't finished there. Had it next day for lunch, and it tasted even better, with all the spices and herbs saturating the dish. Also, the price is right - $7.50, for a dish that would be $8.95 or more somewhere else.

First off place is clean...service is awesome and food is amazing. We have had Pad kee mao, pad thai, fried basil rice, and the yellow curry (we've been here 3 times). Every time no complaints......Love this place! Huge portions too:)

We went to this place after reading all the rave reviews. We were utterly disappointed to say the least. The customer service was excellent but the food, especially the Pad Kee Mao (the most raved dish on Yelp) was mostly bland and just blah. I had the Basil Fried Rice and although plentiful, was lacking in flavor and character. The dish is definitely not as one reviewer stated, "The best Thai Food outside of Thailand". This reviewer has obviously never been to Southern California's Thai Town. Yes, my palate has been ridiculously spoiled by true, unadulterated authentic Thai cuisine in SoCal. And no, I am not from SoCal but from the Bay Area/San Francisco, where the Thai food isn't that much better. I supposed for the locals (myself included 15 years ago), this would qualify as above average. And in that perspective, then yes, this is a decent place to go especially considering it's in a food court and there are other choices abound if you're not in the mood for Thai food. However, if you've been to Thai town in SoCal, you will leave here yearning for a return down south to refresh your memory of what authentic thai food taste like.

The food and the people running it are as nice as it gets! The portions as well as the seasonings are more than generous and they make you feel like a close, personal friend. The freshness of the salad rolls on top of all else taste as though the produce was taken immediately from the produce section of the Asian grocery store that it's inside of. For genuine Thai home cooking that stands out in PDX, DD Thai Fusion is the place to go!

This place is amazing! Pad Kee Mao with medium heat is packed with garlic and the perfect amount of spicy and fresh veggies. The kitchen is clean and the two ladies working are very nice and quick. My friend had the Pad Ginger last time and loved it so it's my guess you just can't go wrong here! If you sit at the bar you can watch your food being made. Best part about this place is that you can go shopping afterward!

They hit their one year anniversary this week. My kids love pad see eew but with thin pad Thai noodles and they gladly did it. Generous portions for the price and very tasty. This is a food court atmosphere folks because it is in the H-Mart, it is not a restaurant. However, if you are on that side of town and want great Thai, this rivals any other Thai joint on the west side.

Thai Fusion has undeniably delicious food. I've never had anything that wasn't good. However their service is really weak. I'm currently waiting for a single entree and after waiting for 35 minutes I checked with the friendly lady. Apparently they forgot to make it, and there are empty tables so they aren't swamped. So I wait. The last time here we ordered two dinners which arrived 20 minutes apart. If they fix these issues this place is an easy 5 star. Unfortunately be prepared to wait and wait... 47 minutes and counting- Ouch!

My wife is Thai, and I've been to Thailand seven times now. We've been eating at DD Thai Fusion at least monthly since the restaurant first opened, and we've found it to be the most authentic and best Thai food we've had in Portland so far. We've tried about 10 other Thai restaurants in the Portland area including Pok Pok, and nothing matches DD Thai. As others have said, the servings are generous, and the price for most dishes is $7.50. When the restaurant first opened over a year ago, there was never a wait, but they are starting to become very popular on the weekends, and it can take a little while for the food to reach your table, so be patient.

I'm eating the pad see ew from DD thai right now, and so I figured I would write a review. The food is really good (i've only had the pad see ew, but thats all I ever want to eat again) and the people that run it are really really nice. Great place. I am jealous of my boyfriend who works across the street from it cause he gets to eat here all the time. Oh and the prices are good too!

This is a nice little secret. I had the rice noodles and green curry. Both delicious. Very friendly hosts you accomodated my requests.

This place is THE BEST! Tippy, the owner, is the most friendly Thai lady ever! The food was awesome and you just can't beat their prices. Definitely the best bang for your buck. I love going here for my lunch break...3/4 times a week...I have tried just about everything and I can't get enough of this place. I have been to Thailand many times now and this place is the closest thing that you will find to REAL AUTHENTIC Thai food. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

My hubby and I love their food. They have a wide range of selections, and my favorite include Tom Yum and Green Curry. The price is reasonable with $7.5/dish. They are always very courteous to us. We enjoy it each time we visit DD Thai.

By far the best I've had, delicious and flavorful! My search for great Thai food is over. Plus the atmosphere is clean and friendly/fast service.

My husband and I love this place! We always seem to want Thai food on Sunday and this is the only place near us that's open. The food is AWESOME! My husband and my friend both agree when they say spicy, they mean SPICY! I'm not so brave so I'll take their word for it. The people are always so nice and make us feel like their friends, and the food is reasonably priced. It's also really cool that it's inside a cool Asian market! We have brought friends here who all love it, so well continue to recommend it!

Excellent Thai food at a great price. The crab wrappers and dipping sauce were especially outstanding.

Had lunch there on a weekend. It is inside of the Hmart, but there is seating area inside. Everything on the menu is $7.50, and you can choose your spiciness level from 1-5. You can choose between beef, pork, or chicken. I ordered a pineapple fried rice with chicken and level 5 spicy. Didn't have to wait long for the food. All I have to say is BEST pineapple fried rice ever! It was really spicy though, the server did ask me if I was sure, but I assumed it would be more toned down. However no complains at all, it was amazing. Although I had to use several tissue papers, the spiciness was doable and enjoyable. They used legit pineapple pieces, the meat was nice and tender, there were other veggies. Just so good. If you are in the area and you like spicy food, that taste amazing and isn't super expensive go try it!

This place has to be the best Thai Restaurant in town! The food is CRAZY GOOD. The first time I came here, I feel in love!!! Believe it or not I came back the next day and the following week after. I highly recommend to anyone who loves Thai food. Plus you don't have to waste a lot of money going to a fancy Thai Restaurant. Good service Great food Worth the money Extra rice with no charge Best Thai Restaurant

We've eaten here a few times, it's pretty great food, very quick and consistent. The price is hard to beat at around $7.50 per dish and you for sure get plenty for the money. My plan is to try something different every time I go and eventually have everything they offer. Next time you're in Tigard and driving by H Mart be sure to swing in and enjoy a meal at DD Thai Fusion!

Always delicious! Pad Khee Mao is one of my faves. The Curry Massaman and Larb are delish, but then again everything I've had here is. Be sure to order a Thai Iced Tea, so refreshing with this tasty grub!
