Not all Starbucks are created equally. Yes - the coffee is pretty much the same at each one, you can find one on almost every street corner in the city, etc. It's the staff they hire, the experience created that makes a person coming back for more. I am from out of town and I left my computer charger there by accident. I panicked! I use my computer for business all day, most days. I called and the manager answered. She let me know they had it and would ship it back to me if I called and setup shipment details and payment with a nearby UPS store. My charger arrived the next day. My experience could have been horrible. Instead, it was excellent. Thank you Starbucks in The Dalles!

This Starbucks is probably one of the worst ones I've been to! I usually love Starbucks but this one has got to get their drinks down! A lot of their frappes are bland with too much ice and not enough flavor. I really think the baristas need a better training on how to make all the drinks!! Other than that their service is great which is why I game them 2 stars instead of 1. I hate doing that but there are way better coffee stands around here that serves better coffee.

Finally!! An official Starbucks in The Dalles! Heart. Melted. So here is the skinny: this location just opened this month (March 2014) and it is super shiny and pretty. The most modern tables and shelves and decor. I really do love it in here and it makes me feel like I'm home in Portland. So if you love Starbucks.... This is as good as it gets. Even though it's new.... The baristas made me a flawless latte and had my breakfast sandwich to me in a jiff. These guys are gonna give the Dutch Bros down the road a little more competition. I know I'm sold!

It's nice to finally have a Starbucks in The Dalles, a town with surprisingly only one other sit-down coffee shop [I can't count the number in Hood River]. One minus, and it's big, THE SUN. The place needs a sun-shade. If it's sunny out it's literally in your face in the customer seating area making it difficult to use your PC, read a book or even comfortably sit there unless you turn your back to the windows. Really obnoxious.

Best service and Best coffee drinks in The Dalles. I've never had a bad drink from this Starbucks and go there frequently. The line always moves super fast as well, unlike some other coffee shops in The Dalles.

Worst coffee ever..asked for a Carmel machioto, got just something hinting towards caramel and taste of coffee.. Starbucks should be ashamed for opening a shop and not training their people accordingly and management should be ashamed for putting out such deplorable Caramel machiotos worst I ever had yuk!! Service was mediocre at best..I could get a better coffee at home:( such a let down when you go with a trusted known coffee vendor and you get horrible coffee..
