I'm on a lox and bagel kick right now and have tried three different establishments. The lox was absolutely tasteless. The mocha was completely... nasty... yes, that's the correct word! So disappointed. Another reason why I shall never return is the attitude of the owner. I eye witnessed an encounter she had where she was beyond rude, mean and nasty like her coffee. I know she's the owner because she had to tell the others ahead of me in line.

Great bagels. Fast service. Right off the freeway and there is always parking. We try to stop here every time we drive by which isn't often enough.

The bagels and the service hear are top notch. Locally owned friendly family atmosphere with a NY flare. I had a sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich, hands down one of the best I've ever had. Being from the east coast, this definitely compares to an authentic NY bagel. The other food looks just as good too!

This is the best tasting and freshest food you will find in Sutherlin. I love all of the options and I doubt you can find something that doesn't taste good here. The only disappointment is that the people who run the place have a dry attitude.

Not a place I would like to go to again! Very rude people and bagels are decent.

The bagel dog with cheese and bacon is my absolute favorite. Quick, friendly quality service. Tasty bagels and other treats. Overall a great place to pick up a snack.

My girlfriend and I were driving home from our road trip and needed to stop off and get some lunch. We happened upon this place, based on a billboard on I-5. I am glad we stopped! The staff is super friendly, they had super soup (cream of broccoli) and bagels. We were both so full on half of our sandwich and soup, we got the rest to go. It's a cute place, great selection of bagels and sandwiches. A must go if you are traveling in the area.

Another fabulous breakfast here. The bagels are fresh and delicious! We look forward to stopping here in our travels

My sandwich was good but the lady was, shall we say perfunctory? Plus I expected a freshly made egg. Given how large the place is I thought they had a huge, functioning kitchen hidden in that back room. I did not expect a microwave egg. Sandwich was good though. 2.5 stars. Going back to my bagel spot in Roseburg.

Breakfast burritos was not very good. The lady that works there also guards the newspapers so beware.

We were just passing through and it happened to be lunch time. Nice little locally owned place, good service, very fast with the sandwich. The menu has lots of good looking salads and sandwiches, bagels, etc. the espresso was really good too! I definitely recommend for a quick breakfast or lunch if you are not into fast-food greaseballs.

Stopped by Bronx bagel on my drive from se Oregon to Seattle after seeing the billboard. I'm vegan and bagels are my mainstay. The bagels are pretty good (I got 4 garlic) but the selection was pretty low. The reason for 2 star review was a The horrible service. The lady behind the counter was rude and demanding and sighed loudly when i asked her to slice my bagels?!?! Rude. But the bagel tasted great...

Selection of bagels was awesome. So many different options. I wanted to try more but only had room for 2. Had the ham & egg bagel sandwich with blueberry and orange bagel. Also had the onion bagel. Reasonable prices. Bland decor with NewYork theme. Would recommend as a stop along I-5.

Delicious and large sandwich, came with chips and a pickle. Cheap, quick, and fresh!

I ate here both mornings that I was in Sutherlin. The first morning I asked for a bagel with cream cheese and lox. They didn't have such an item on their menu and asked if I wanted the New Yorker, with came with cream cheese, lox, onions, and tomatoes. I didn't want onions and tomatoes, but they went ahead and charged me the full price of the New Yorker anyway, which wasn't very cool. Also, the bagel was so lightly toasted that it was cold within minutes. Still, it tasted pretty good. They are also generous with their cream cheese, if you like that. The second morning I just asked for cream cheese, and I asked that the bagel be sent through the toaster twice, which did help with the getting-cold-too-fast factor. I think their toaster only toasts on one side, though, which is a little odd. They also have breakfast bagels and pockets and sandwiches and wide variety of items for both breakfast and lunch. I had a lot of trouble finding out their hours ahead of time. No website, no info on their voicemail recording. As of this writing they are open seven days a week, 6am on weekdays, 6:30 on Saturday, and 7am on Sundays. Not the most fantastic bagel place I've visited, but it's the best breakfast option available in Sutherlin and I would eat there again.

Saw their freeway sign after many miles and the combo of "Bronx Bagels" and "soup & sandwiches" sounded good. First is the smell, the enticing aroma of bagels! Then, the various generic and unique NY-themed decor (old Playbills, Yanks/Dodgers hats, etc. interspersed w/pics of Statue of Liberty, etc.). We had sandwiches, fresh made and tasty. The kids had soup and chili-the soup (white bean w/chicken) was great. They also feature Lox!! Woulda stayed if we didn't have so far to go-worth a stop!

I will start by saying I am always happy with the food here. Fantastic bagels and the sandwiches are superb. I have eaten here every time on my many trips to Roseburg, but this last trip will be my last, unless..... Store hours have always been until 3pm but today when I stopped by at 1:45 they were closed!!!!!! Unless I hear that there was an emergency, family death, or other reasonable explanation I will never return again. For me this is a major deal breaker if your customers cannot count on you being open during "posted" business hours.

Good food but a true New Yorker would never toast a bagel. That's what a Bialy is for.

I came in with low expectations, and was very pleasantly surprised. This place is REALLY good. Delicious bagel sandwhiches -- great way to get started in the morning on the way up to Portland. While its definitely not a must stop -- if you're hungry on the I-5 and near Sutherlin, definitely pull off the highway and get some good food.

A good morning meal for our family. We have been eating lots of heavy breakfasts on our road trip and this was something different. We enjoyed the food and friendly service!
(4)Sammy A.
My husband & I love this place. We always stop by to eat when we're traveling on I-5 in Oregon. The soup &bagels are great! It's always clean and tidy. My only complaint is that it closes at 3:00 pm and we don't always get there in time to get our bagels.

Haven't eaten here in a while, but I will be stopping by tomorrow morning before I leave. I did eat here once before however and if my memory serves me right it was pretty descent. I remember nasty food when I eat it! Good place to stop by in the morning and hit the road again.

This place has some great New York style bagels and also features some pretty delicious sandwiches as well. I ordered what I believe was called a Grand Central sandwich on sourdough which had turkey, cheddar cheese, and all the fixings. I was also pleasantly surprised when I opened my bag in the car to find a bag of chips and a dill pickle spear. Nice touch, and a reasonable value at $6. The sandwich was delicious and anyone looking for a quick stop off of Highway 5 in Sutherlin should check this place out.

I understand that any place selling bagels outside of the five boroughs must be given some leeway in the quality of their product despite the fact that bagel places should never be built outside of said boroughs. With that in mind I stopped for my second trip to Bronx Bagels (a baffling choice for a bagel-representing location) prepared to apportion a great deal of salt to this Sutherlin landmark. I have also awarded an extra star for this disability. First let's talk about pumpernickel. Calvin Trillin wrote an entire article in the New Yorker about his daughter's indignation at the "round bread" being passed off as a pumpernickel bagel. Reader, let me tell you that the young Ms. Trillin could have been referring to this storefront bakery slanging mushy, carb-y, flavorless circles of cooked dough. I ordered my usual bagel: toasted, scooped-out (necessary at round breaderies), with just fresh lox and cream cheese. What the dour, matronly proprietress brought out -- with an ORANGE SLICE as a garnish -- was, from the bottom of the acceptable lox and cream cheese down, a trainwreck. The bagel was, aside from an almost imperceptible crispness along the periphery, flaccid and far from toasted. Any scooping-out was also perfunctory and clearly done without any regard for the customer's glycemic index. I honestly am not someone who complains or sends food back. Unless there is an unwanted human or animal part in my food, I am unlikely to bother the server or kitchen. This time was different. I just couldn't abide the fact that this horrible food wasn't even prepared as I had politely asked! And the coup de grâce was the owner's entirely predictable reaction that there was something wrong with ME if I couldn't enjoy her ambrosia. She insisted that the bagel HAD been toasted -- belying either a nihilistic disingenuousness or a faulty toaster. When I finally left -- deflated, confused, and angry at a world that would let a place like Bronx Bagels exist -- I reflected on the fact that my inedible meal cost $10. At the Bagel Hole on 7th Ave in Park Slope, Brooklyn -- the best bagel place in Brooklyn, putting it in strong contention for the best bagel place in New York and thus the world -- the same bagel costs $6.

Stopped by for a quick sandwich and breakfast burrito. Breakfast burrito: not good. Microwaved eggs and rubbery tortilla Turkey pocket: off flavor and also microwaved Wont be back.

We saw the sign on our drive home up I-5 and decided to stop and have lunch. A welcome change from the fast food restaurants after two days of traveling! Being originally from the East Coast I can't give this place 5 stars because nothing beats REAL New York bagels but this was a wonderful lunch. We ate the tomato Gorgonzola sandwich with a New Yorker sandwich. My husband also had an apple cinnamon bagel toasted with cream cheese. It was a satisfying and tasty lunch. It must be popular with locals as a few people came in and were asked, "Your usual?" I'd recommend it if you're driving by at lunchtime!

This place sucks, really sucks. Don't waste your time - a real disappointment.

Forgive me for what I foresee being kind of a long review, I guess you could say I had a pretty wonderful experience at Bronx Bagels and was inspired to write. This is my first yelp review. Thanks! It's great to be here! My first impression of Bronx Bagels was that this was the yellowest place I have ever been. The walls painted pastel yellow, the floor checkered with yellow and white, heck, if you squint a little the bagels even look kinda yellow. My traveling mates and I (not Australian) had just walked out of the Apple Peddler diner down the street after reading the prices on the menu. Everyone knows that a good meal is worth a crisp couple bucks every now and a dunk, but this apple blossom place was like REALLY EXPENSIVE! When we politely told the waitress we were not going to eat at the Apple Dapple place or whatever she got like all offended and asked us why? She even tried to convince us to split meals to save money, but at this point our mind was made up. I wouldn't entirely write off the Apple Fluffer Inn but it just wasn't for us, we had been driving through the night and just weren't ready for the 15 dollar fresh toast plate and neon wolf mountain scene on the walls. If you go there I would recommend the apple dumpling. I didn't try it, but the picture looked nice and if it wasn't good then I doubt they would have named their stupid restaurant the Apple Dumpling or whatever. Anyways, after we split it was literally a 3 minute drive across the street to Bronx Bagels. Short but scenic! You just gotta see the Mountains out here! Breath ripping! Once we walked into yellow bagel heaven we knew we were in the right place. I recommend the breakfast pocket. Its nothin fancy, just strait up eggs, cheese and bacon but... In a pocket! If I absolutely had to make one complaint about Bronx Bagels it would be that even though they are a so called "Sobe Beverage Retailer" their Sobe selection was thin. No Liz Bliz? Get real! Love you Bronx Bagels! Thanks for bringing that unforgettable New York flavor to the I 5. 5 out of 6 stars! Reach for the stars you guys, bite a huge bagel!!

If you are cruising down I5 and are tired of dumpy grease traps stop here for really great New York Style bagels. I've eaten here many, many, times on this work assignment. The bagel sandwiches are fabulous...haven't had a bad one yet. If it's still morning a bagel and coffee also goes over well. The soups I've had have been very good. The one item I would steer clear of is the bagel dogs....too greasy..not my thing. (Also...as an I5 commuter...the bathrooms are clean and nice.)

My family always and I mean always stop here if we are traveling I-5 and it is in the AM. Love their bagels and creams cheese. My personal fav is either the whole wheat or onion with veggie cream cheese. My husband enjoys their jalapeno cream cheese with his. Just the right amount of spicy. The bagels are great and the cream cheese is plentiful. They had many other items but I can't seem to change my mind when I know how good the bagel is going to be. The staff is very professional and the bathrooms are clean. The are easy to find. Just behind the Dutch Bros stand right off the exit. WIsh they had Bronx Bagels in Grants Pass.
