Someone please get in here and help this place out! After a handful of visits to this location over the past few months I now cringe anytime that someone suggests that we eat here. Cleaning the lobby and bathroom is bare minimal, every time I've been there I've had to ask for the tables to get wiped down. There was literal crap on the toilet seat so I brought it to their attention, they had someone go in and sweep the floor, but left the crap all over the toilet seat, SO LAZY, and UNMOTIVATED people here I swear. Lids, ice, and condiments are always running out, and has to be brought to their attention by customers instead of just being on top of it from the get go, you know like just wiping the tables down. This place is NEVER in a hurry to take your order, or even get your order to you, they're so slow to do anything. One visit consisted of us watching a male cashier, and a manager argue over who should take a few minutes to talk to a customer over a special cake order RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER, and everyone else who was in there. There was a long line, and the manager should've just jumped right in and helped with a smile not an attitude, the management is horrible. My husband was just in there this weekend, and said that another customer was waiting forever for his food, got upset asked for a refund, was told that the manager was on break and he'd need to wait much longer for a refund, the guy left yelling how he'd never had worse service. I'm done, I'll never go back.... Service is awful and extremely lazy, and very unclean!

Normally I give a lot of praise to Dairy Queen, previous ones I've been to have had excellent burgers. However this one in stayton has some issues. 1st it seems to be policy to use as few bags as possible so often times my food is crammed into one bag rather than two. Second even at Burger King the grease factor is few at DQ fifteen minutes after purchase grease is seeping through the burger wrapper. Thirdly my last four burgers have had wet bottoms. Plus is onion rings and fries are great. And you can never go wrong with a blizzard!

The service here has gone downhill. We ordered at the drive thru the other night and I honestly thought I was on a hidden camera show because the kid taking my order was so unprofessional. And they are always out of something we order. The other night they were out of cups...CUPS!

The food is really good, however the customer service is poor. They fail to make you feel like a valued customer. The staff is sometimes rude and very slow. They also were reluctant to give me dipping sauce even though I specifically asked for it.

I was standing at the counter for almost 5 minutes before we were waited on. The food took a long time to be ready considering we were the only ones there at that time. The staff had attitudes and some didn't look professional. When we got the food the fries were cold and so were my wraps. Service was bad, but probably will return because the food was good except the temperature.

A great leisurely drive down the Willamette Valley is taking Highway 213 from Oregon City and then on to the Cascade Highway through Stayton and Scio. In Stayton, we have a classic Dairy Queen. Not as classic as it used to be, mind you. They moved a few years ago into new digs in the parking lot of a strip mall. But this remains one of the exemplars of Dairy Queen goodness in rural Oregon. Burgers have good char. The onion rings are spectacular. Service can be a bit rough. The counter staff seems rather aimless, with misunderstanding orders, etc. I asked for no onions and she called back "no mayonnaise!" But it has all worked out.

The BEST price and quality for a french toast breakfast! For less than $4, you can get 2 slices of French toast, 1 egg and 2 slices of bacon. It's freshly made and great tasting. It may take like 5 minutes, but its worth it. Same flavor as any other restaraunt out there and takes less time. Its worth going in

I've watched this place change ... and so I had to update my review and explain that "Dreamboat Annie" has gone away. I also came to my senses and realized that "Dreamboat Annie" was not a reason for a 4th star, as in winning me over to fan status. Dairy Queen-Stayton is the veritable gateway to this smaller city. It is the first business one sees coming off OR-22 and heading south into town. In the mid to late 90's, it was a blocky little "small town USA" shack of a store. Now, it's stylin' ... well, not quite. However, a new store has been built, there is ample parking, there is a drive through, and their menu has been expanded. Dairy Queen, to me, means ice cream and, in this department, they deliver. That said, a double chocolate single scoop can deliver quite a jolt! As for their burger and fries fare, it doesn't call and is, as best I can describe it, similar to A&W fare. (Interesting how small towns in Western Canada might have an A&W before having a Mickey Ds). What I did notice on this last trip is that they feature Orange Julius drinks and that they are reasonably priced, unlike at their stores in major malls ... a small Julius is ridiculously priced at Clackamas Town Center. The store is clean enough and the service was, unlike that experienced in other reviews, quite acceptable. So, if crossing the Cascades to the "other" Oregon, visiting Silver Falls, or trying to get close to llamas and alpacas in the immediate area to see if they really will spit at you, Dairy Queen-Stayton might be your cup of tea for fast food. Dairy Queen-Stayton, I may not be "crazy on you" but I do "like you as a friend," meaning to the tune of three stars.

Amid farm fields, planned houses, nondenominational Christian worship centers, and high schools that look like a blast from the past...there it stood...like an oasis in a desert. Or a dessert, I should say. Because that's why we go to DQ, right? Right. The power that any Dairy Queen has over me and my coworkers is legendary. We've been known to take a solid 1.5 hour lunch simply to drive to one, eat, and drive back. Mostly in honor of the $4.99 chicken strip basket. Which, by the way, is pretty unbeatable compared to the strips at ANY other fast food chain. DQ, though, has the competitive advantage because of their superior frozen dairy products. In any case, to make a long story short, my weekend jaunt to Stayton was made complete by the shining lights emanating forth from this Dairy Queen. The staff was nice, my food was hot/frozen and delicious. Next time...I'm tracking down that elusive Brownie Batter Blizzard. Yup.

I live in Sublimity, and this DQ is in between town. It is one of only fast food joints available close to me. Now, I don't eat fast food anymore, but I came here when I did. Service is incredibly slow. My friend works here, and she's fast. But the workers are very slow, sometimes rude. But all in all, clean place, okay food.

This was the worst DQ I have ever visited. We waited over 25 minutes to get 4 burgers and fries! No one seemed at all concerned. They were out of 1/2 the beverages and no ice. Everyone moved so slow... Do not stop here when traveling. We could have got food quicker at a sit down restaurant.

The food and service were sublime, however the shift manager is a bad person. I requested ranch and did not receive any so I went back up to get some and she was livid. Not only did she demand to run my card a second time for 50 cents worth of ranch, but she was incredibly rude about it. In addition to all of this, she was yelling at the staff in front of all the customers. Numerous people looked uncomfortable and I will not be returning to this establishment as long as this woman is in charge.

I am done with this place, the staff is extremely rude and make you feel that your interrupting them! This entire staff should be looked at closely and most of them replaced! The rudest staff I have ever dealt with! I will drive to Salem if I want anything from DQ!

There are no hamburgers on the entire menu without cheese. When I asked about that, some kid with scraggly hair and tats told me to just order a cheeseburger without cheese and he said it in a smart alecky 'duh' sort of way. The burger was pretty tasty, but I didn't appreciate having to pay for a double cheeseburger to get a double burger without cheese. Notice to owner: get some non-cheeseburgers on the menu and tell the scraggly kid with the tats to lose the attitude. I won't be back.
