I've eaten way too many meals out in my lifetime, and this attempt at dinner was the worst yet. After a long day of driving, we were too lazy to drive elsewhere from the hotel (they share a parking lot), so we went in for a quick dinner. Upon entering, there were 2 waitresses at the front, both greeted us nicely, and told us to sit 'wherever'. The older one quickly brought us menus, but made no offer of bringing drinks, nor said she would or wouldn't be our waitress for the meal. At that time, there was one table finishing their meal and paying their bill, one table eating their meal, and one customer waiting for a 'to go' order by the entrance. We looked over the menus extensively and had to wait for over 10 minutes before I finally made movements to leave, which was finally enough to get the attention of the other waitress. (She, meanwhile, was busy leaning on the cashier's desk, staring at the counter). My husband asked for a beer, and I asked for a glass of water (the basics?) and ordered a glass of Pinot, pointing it out on their red wine list, as in Pinot Noir. Dinner included a salad or potato, with my order I chose salad, but when my husband ordered, he wasn't asked if he wanted salad, potato, or anything else. I ordered a steak cooked 'medium', he ordered 'rare'. Salads were brought out promptly (for both of us) and were good, and he got his beer, while I continued to wait for my red wine. When the waitress brought out our dinners, we again asked for my glass of wine, and she apologetically left to get it, only to return in a few minutes to ask again what I'd ordered. I again also pointed it out on the list, said 'Clos du Bois Pinot', and started to eat. Upon cutting into my steak, the center was barely lukewarm, and VERY red/raw in the center, nothing close to 'medium'. Even my husband's raw steak was more cooked. At that point I got my wine: a Pinot Grigio, which is white. Not red. At that point, I gave up all attempts to correct a horrible dinner experience. Our business was a nuisance from the start, and nothing we said or asked for (assuming we could get some service at all!) was listened to or followed through with correctly. Never never NEVER eat here!!! By the end of the meal, we had many apologies for the steak, forgetting the wine (she never did know it was the wrong one), and I noticed the glass of beer was not on the bill. (?? the only thing they got right was what they comped!) Not sure where they found their 'chef', but they need to review the basics of preparing meat, and Kylene, please consider other work, I don't think you're cut out for this. I filled out their eval. that came with the bill, to date I have yet to hear from anyone, so again, it's overly clear our business isn't wanted. Good to know. Be warned.

This was horrible. I had iced tea and it was old. The mashed potatoes were disgusting and cold. The finger steaks were breaded, oily and tasted like cheap old meatloaf. I took several bites and left. I would tell you to go anywhere else but here.

This restaurant used to be called "The Village Inn" They did some slight remodeling and changed the menu. Prices I feel are far too steep for what you get. I went for lunch, it was slow but even slower service as there was only one waitress. While she was nice and kind, she had just too much to do. I got my own menus and booster seats for my girls. I ordered the kids meals: $5.25 without a drink is a bit steep in my opinion, especially for a grilled cheese and chicken strips with fries. I had the french dip, which was decent, that is the best I can offer. The bonus was their cheddar broccoli soup. With ice tea, my $11 sandwich, and the girls lunch came to $26. Wish I had just gone to Subway or Quiznos; as it took so long and was expensive and not that great. Maybe things will get better ??
