Hands down best Tom Kha soup in town. I get it every time I am sick because it makes me feel so good. Menu is extensive and just about everything is good here. Definitely recommended for Thai in Eugene.

I had the "pad kee mao" (not sure on spelling) with chicken and it was amazing. This place beats the other Thai places I have eaten at before. The service was extremely good, and our waitress was especially sweet considering we all arrived a half hour before they closed. Just keep in mind when you order hot they make it really hot so if you're not into super spicy food I would recommend that you order it mild and add your own spices later.

Wow. After years of knowing there was a Thai restaurant in Springfield, I finally ate here. Saw their commercial on Food Network and thought it looked good. That was six months ago. Has been a consistent staple for our family. I thought I hated Thai food until I ate here. I guess the one place I tried wasn't good...I don't know. Great service. Great food.

I really enjoy this place! My husband and I have been there twice now. We will definitely continue to eat here. My favorite is the chicken wantons. They are super crispy, and the sweet and sour sauce with the peanuts is amazing. I am a fan of the Pad Thai. I know it's kind of a basic, standard dish. The Thai BBQ chicken is good, the Swimming Lady is as well. My husband had the Pia Jian yesterday. He really liked it. I've also eaten the Crispy Banana with ice cream and the sticky rice with egg custard. The staff is great. They are helpful and attentive. They know the menu, answer questions and give helpful advice. Everything is consistently on the same level every time. Which is a sign of a great restaurant.

Foods ok, think little high priced for what you get. Did takeout, atmosphere little too dark (lighting) for me. If hubby wants to do again, ok. Otherwise I would pass.

I am so impressed! Service: friendly, atmosphere: inviting, food: AMAZING. This is the best pad thai I have ever had. I can't wait to come back and try other menu items. The menu has a lot to offer!

Maybe I'm spoiled by all the good Thai in Portland, but I thought this was just so-so for the money. Make all the dishes $8-10 and this review would be way more positive. But for $16, the avocado curry had mushy noodles, a sauce that was more heat than flavor, and not nearly enough protein. The papaya salad is lovely, but not worth $10. Make it $6 and I'm there. That said, they have all the staples and a few fun originals too.

Ta Ra Rin didn't disappoint. I had the teriyaki chicken, and the green papaya salad and it was effervescent!! I highly recommend it!! The place is always clean, fast and courteous service.

The outside doesn't do it justice. Really nicely decorated inside. Very clean and bright. Wasn't expecting such good food bc somehow Thai and Springfield don't seem like they go together. But I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered several dishes and had so much left over that we'll probably eat leftovers for two days. Thai iced tea, chicken satay, golden lettuce rolls, pad Thai and avocado curry were all delicious. The ribs were a little on the dry side but flavor was ok. Probably won't order them again. June was our server and was extremely nice and attentive. I'll definitely be back.
(4)Jonny R.
I highly recommend the green papaya salad- especially with sticky rice. The curry dishes are always spot on and I love the spicy eggplant and their soups. I really can't complain about the food or service- it's always fantastic! The waitresses are always extra friendly and the food amazing. My only complaint would be the price (it's not super high). It just seems a little steep, or I would probably come more often. In my opinion it's some of the best Thai food you'll find in springfield/Eugene!
(4)Lauren T.
Such a nice restaurant for Springfield. I was pleasantly surprised! Good atmosphere and good service. Food was pretty good. I ordered the Pad Kua Kai (a noodle dish). It had good flavor, the noodles were busted into such tiny little pieces, I had trouble eating it. If I wanted tiny little pieces, I would have ordered rice, not noodles. My personal favorite Thai place is still Sabai. However, Ta Ra Rin is a closer option for us. We might be back!
(3)Scarbellyevan ..
Some of the best service around. Pad Thai was amazing as well. The duck is delicious too. I would highly recommend this for a family night out
(5)Tracy B.
Love, love, love this place. Such a warm environment and the food is so amazing. Portions are huge and worth every penny. Amazing flavors, great ambience and attentive wait staff. Best thai in town.
(5)Kristy W.
I enjoy going to this location because you can generally get seated faster than you can at the Eugene location. I don't mind the drive or, where they are at because it is at the end of the strip mall. Very easy parking. The food is really good or I wouldn't be back! I have many different Thai restaurants I go to for different dishes, and I'm pleased that Ta Ta Rin has several dishes that I love! The Thai iced tea for starters, lemon grass wings, salad rolls, spicy cashew noodles, pad mango, pad kee mao, and the list I know could go on. Normally I am a creature of habit and order the same thing, but here I branch out. I guess you could say I am a bit of a Thai food junkie! I can't help it! I try to get my fill as often as I can! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the yummy coconut ice cream! Yeah they have that too! I did resist it last night, it was hard to as it was staring me right in the face!
(5)Nyles W.
I really enjoy this place. Pad Thai is great, and many many other dishes including the curry. Service is good as well.

Great atmosphere, incredible food. Highly recommend this restaurant. Appetizers are great Very large menu and very friendly staff.
(5)Erica T.
Awesome food!I ate there 3 times last week lol. And they always seem to be really busy which is a good thing.
(5)Joey H.
Honestly the food and décor are pretty good. The service was about average. The problem is you're in Springfield wedged between a sports bar and a liquor store in a strip mall across the street from Winco and just down the street from Wal-Mart and you charge $4-$5 more per plate than the other thai restaurants in Springtucky. Too expensive, however I wouldn't mind paying these prices in a nicer area.
(3)Eric P.
The updates from the old Kuraya's is simple in that they took all the old lattice work down. A new paint job and some sanding have made it nicer inside. The food was fantastic. Having a good place to get your Thai on is great for Springfield. The service was swift and efficient, the food was cooked and prepared as I would expect. I had the special coconut soup and my friend had some type of noodle dish that I just can remember the name of. All in all the experience was quite nice Good job guys, keep it up!
(4)Scott A.
Yahoo! Finally an upscale Thai restaurant in Springfield! They serve the most amazing Thai dishes around. I have tried the Phad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with chicken at just about every Thai place around the Eugene/Springfield area, and they are on top. The food is top notch, and so is the service. The only negative I could see was that the renovation to change it from the old Kurayas into Ta Ra Rin needs to move forward some. They did away with most of the over dark lattice and lighting but it still seems like it needs a little more light in the room. Other than that, they are doing a great job of bringing a finer dining experience to this town.
(5)Kat R.
Look past the strip mall location. It's delicious, the ambiance is date-night perfect, there's a great wine selection and it's pretty quiet. Meals are fairly priced. I love the pad Thai and their cashew dishes. As a vegetarian, I have plenty of options on the menu and I appreciate that. Service is always friendly and well timed.

Tasty! My wife and I eat here on occasion and have yet to leave unhappy. I typically order the Pineapple Fried Rice (which I believe is better than the same dish at Sabai at Oakway Center) and she tries new things often. The Pineapple Fried Rice has a great mix of crunchy and juicy so no bite is too dry. It's served with shrimp and I find suspicious little areas of missing food on the edge of the plate facing my wife so I suspect she distracts me then swoops in on miniature raids. She most recently had the 'Lady Swimming' because it was a chicken dish that came with a peanut sauce. It was served over uncooked vegetables (which she wasn't expecting) and while the sauce was good, it wasn't quite as good as Manola's because of the high sweetness AND (I know this next part will sound funny considering I just criticized the sauce a little) there wasn't enough of it. There is a charge for ordering extra sauce unless you order a tiny little thing of it so heads up. One of the best dishes she's had there (to my taste) was a pumpkin curry. The pumpkin really showed its versatility in this dish and made me remember that it's not just a pie ingredient, it's a perfectly fine squash too. If I didn't have a love affair with the pineapple fried rice, I think I would order this. I prefer this location to the Oak St. one by a tiny margin, but both are good and places I would feel comfortable taking guests to.
(4)Walerz B.
Thai Tea was good. Fried Catfish Basil Stirfry was good too. It needed a little more sauce to pour over the rice, a bit more salt and spice, too. Some of the pieces of catfish were chopped too tiny so when it was fried, it got a little too dry but the pieces that were chopped big enough were juicy and tasty. The eggplants were the best vegetables on the dish. I wish I had ordered an eggplant basil stir fry dish, it would have been delicious. The rice itself was a bit hard, as if it was old day rice and they didn't reheat it properly. The black sticky rice for dessert was awesome. It has a chewier texture than regular white sticky rice that I like. The glass noodle stirfry was a little sweet but still addictive after I fixed it by adding vinegar and fish sauce. The peanut sauce for the chicken satay was yummy. I didn't get to try the actual satay. Service was friendly and attentive. It's a bigger restaurant than it looks on the outside, very deep with a high ceiling. All in all I was very satisfied.

I work close to this location and have only dined here for lunch. The lunch special is affordable and food is phenomenal. Service is also stupendous. I've sat in for lunch a couple times with both times accommodated by friendly staff. I usually will do a take out order. Because I've got a busy schedule at work and don't have time to use the phone at times, I'll phone in at my convenience and let them know I'll pick it up at a certain time...they make it in the perfect time so when I do arrive, my food is still hot. My favorites are the grilled beef salad, green papaya salad, crispy wonton, mussuman curry with chicken, and pad se ew with chicken.
(4)Bob B.
Definaitely an improvement from the previous owner but the offerings are not inspiring enough to term them "outstanding." The place is clean, comfortable, affordable, and staff are friendly and efficient. I've eaten here many times and have been very happy with each visit. A good value for your buck...
(3)Jason D.
My fav Thai place in town! There are a few that come close but as for consistancy and flavor I put them at tthe top. Just thinking about it is making me want to go there right now! YUMM

Ta Ra Rin in Eugene was our favorite place for Thai food. We're so glad to have the same fantastic food and great service now here in Springfield. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Great for lunch or dinner.

This is our new favorite Thai restaurant. Nice decor, friendly and helpful staff plus delicious food will insure we make more return visits. There is quite a varied menu and our server was very helpful in helping us decide. We have been there twice. The last time we took our neighbors who had never tasted Thai food. They loved and said they will return.
