Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.

Tried it for the first time, and it was a really good basic burger. Liked being able to choose our own toppings. The fries were yummy. We got a large order for 3 of us and we could have shared with at least 2 others. Good burgers at a good price. Music was a tad loud, but the place was clean and employees were friendly.

burger was ok...fries better than average...overpriced for what it is! lady walked in with a large dog, staff didn't question it so I asked if I could get my two out the car and bring in. they said only service dogs, I asked if that dog sitting at the next table was a service dog. staff asked the lady and she said yes...sorry but food establishments are only allowed to admit dogs for physical impairments...Will call health dept. white trash...leave your dogs home.

poor mans food burgers are bland, mushy;as if the meat had been frozen before and sat in water for a long time.tasteless. the arrogant/pretentious wall display is a total turn off. Even more so;when it doesn't live-up-to-par. fires aren't bad,but having to eat it out of a cup,and then out of the bag...I mean really?
(2)Mark S.
Good burgers, but so big they are kind of hard to eat. Lots of fries, but a little greasy. It is not cheap. I'll go back, but not for a while. The service is nice, attractive and upbeat.
(3)Liz T.
Really good burger when they get it right. The last two times I went there they left of the bacon I paid for. And the fries are good but if you're just one person you can't eat that many!

I never thought I would be leaving a review for Five Guys on yelp... I typically would never rate fast food places at all, and much less with 5 stars... but... My boyfriend and I came here last night for dinner. It wasn't the first time I've had it. I've had it plenty. It usually always tastes the same and I'm always happy with it. We walked in last night and there was a decent crowd, staff was nice, burger was good and the fries were amazing as usual. I'm leaving this review because when I walked in last night I saw that Five Guys had added something to their menu that I've been saying they needed for YEEEAAAARSSS!!!! I've been waiting so patiently for Five Guys to get milkshakes... and the day has come!!!!! I'm not kidding, I died of happiness. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and the machine is right up front, you can see them mixing. I got chocolate. When they handed it to me my first thought was "wow, this isn't thick at all..." it seemed more runny and then I thought my happiness was shot. I took a drink, and what the heck, it was SO good!! It was everything this place needed to complete a burger and fry meal. My boyfriend is going to be so happy that I'm going to constantly bug him to come here more now... haha. Thank you Five Guys. Milkshakes for life.

Really good burgers and fries in here. Everything made fresh. They seem like they are always packed. Grab yourself a bowl of peanuts (FREE!) to gnaw on while you wait. I don't visit the Eugene area that often, but I will return here when I do.

Love this five guys. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are awesome about making My food to order and my fries. They know me by name and it's great. Thanks gateway crew.
(5)Oceanwaves T.
My husband and I shared one order of a plain hamburger with a number of toppings and a small order of fries. The toppings were generous and the small order of fries was overflowing from the small cup and into the bag, enough to feed at least 4 people! Service was friendly. It was understaffed at the time we were there...the cashier was doing some cleanup of tables, which needed to be kept up with as diners were coming and going. I personally do not like it when the floor is being swept around me while I'm eating as it can bring up dust into the air and into your food and lungs.
(3)Matthew J.
Amazing! Love the burgers and my I went with my friend and he made me get the Cajun fries. Soooo good! Also the soda fountains r pretty cool. The burger is pretty basic but filled me up. It was pretty big
(5)Alan J.
Food is good, staff is friendly, service is always fast. Not cheap. Not even inexpensive. For fast food, five guys is pretty good. Let's remember that it's fast food though, okay? The last time i went there, i had a big bacon cheeseburger, small fries and a small drink and it set me back 12 bucks before gratuity. 12!!! It was tasty, mind you, but that's one spendy burger joint. I was nearly 14 bucks in the hole when i left that place. I could have had a burger at a proper non fast food restaurant for that. There are two locally owned burger joints nearby that are equal if not better food quality wise for around 8 bucks all said and done. There are some with marginally lower food quality for around 6.

I wanted a burger without a hassle so I tried the online ordering. It was great! Ordered with all the details handled easily, ketchup etc. Np problem. You can even choose a time to pick it up. I ordered 2 hours ahead of my pickup time. Just made the whole thing easy. I walked in and up to the counter where they were just finishing my burger & fries. In & Out in less than 3 min. Their burgers are good, you can build them any way you like without any hassle at all. I like that. Their fries are really good and you always get a ton of them. I don't care to eat inside. It's kind of like eatting at a bus station or a school cafeteria. Crowed, noisy with hard chairs, hard floors and a constant din of background noise & people.
(4)Christy H.
Well went there today took my kids to lunch and won't go back. This is the second time I have been there to eat and both times have had hair in my food. Will not go back and wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there. The first time it happened we got out meal comped but this time all I got was five dollars. Talk about poor customer service. I have been in the restaurant business for ten years and if u want to make your customer happy and have them return u would do anything u can to make the customer happy. We didn't even finish our food we were all applauded at the hair it made us sick. I don't even think they deserve a star.
(1)Michon D.
This location does not have the high tech fancy Coca cola machine. And, the AC is on when it's 42 degrees outside! Asked for bbq sauce, none. Had lots of bacon.
(2)Stephanie J.
Day after Christmas, line to the door, and still got our food in less time than a drive thru on a non busy day. Friendly service, lots of seating, and ample serving of fries for the price. Would definitely come back.
(4)Gregory S.
Second time there , they play great rock n roll music , me and my wife love to sing along because it's all the music you grew up with , the burgers are great tje fries are awesome and free peanuts , will visit this store many more times yumm, atmosphere is fun and food is fresh
(5)Jeremy M.
I wanted to like this 5 guys. We stopped on a road trip to California. The Cajun fries were amazing. I ordered the "little" fries and it was almost a full paper bag worth. So many. The hamburger was average at best. Small patties with little flavor and weak bun.
(3)Gail F.
Went here last Saturday night. Great Food! The staff their was friendly! Even my granddaughter who is a picky eater was pleased with her burger! Will be going there the next time I am back in the area.
(5)Jenny S.
Not the best burger I have had for the price. Greasy and tasteless. Grease to the point where your hands smell gross after eating it. The fries were terrible, although a nice sized portion.
(2)Leigh A.
I had such a great experience. Jordan F. was at the register, took my order, made the food very quickly, and delivered it to me. Such a great burger joint and the staff makes it a friendly environment! I highly recommend eating here!
(5)Josh W.
I dont think five guys is consistent enough to keep a solid 5 star rating. 4 stars? Sure...You can have all 4, but until you get this "soggy bun" epidemic under control I'm not giving the 5th star back! I like to take advantage of the online ordering. I think it's fun even, you get online, pick your burger, pick all the condiments (light, heavy, extra etc...). You can even order double cheese at no extra cost. Awesome right? Come on, we all love a cheesy burger.... It was kinda funny, I placed my order at 8:45. They close at 9:00. I got there at 8:58, as I was walking up to the door, some girl locked it, and walked off. I looked in through the door thinking someone was gonna open it, but that certainly didn't happen. BUT, I did catch her as she opened the exit door to clean it. I explained I placed an internet order and wanted my food I had pre-paid for. She let me in. After getting by the security system I grabbed my food and walked back out. I spent 10x as long trying to get in than I did getting out. Back on track, the bun issue. I've had the bun support the whole burger and it be great, other times, it comes out a bit soggy. Still good, but a bit less desirable. Happens more at this location than in Salem i've noticed.
(4)Jon I.
Good burgers. Good prices. Hearty burger with a custom menu of options making for a delicious lunch/dinner. If you go with a group, a large fry will feed several adults.
(4)Justin H.
first impression. The layout of the place is pretty cramped. Too many tables to seat people comfortably... I had to weave my way through a maze to get a seat. After a bit of a wait, the burger was nice and plump. The size was the best part, a the cheese was still cold, and the meat was only luke warm. The meat also lacked any flavor. The fries were plentiful and full of oil. So this first impression left a lot to be desired. For comparable prices, there are better burgers in the area.
(2)Tony P.
I was very impressed with my first trip to Five Guys. The burger was HUGE, especially for a single patty. Everything was very fresh. Would be five stars if 1) there was more room to stand while waiting for you food (space was very cramped during lunch rush), and 2) no milkshakes :-( All in all, a very good lunch.
(4)Ruobin W.
Delicious burgers and fries for a chain restaurant. The burgers are large, even the junior burgers and the fact that you can choose from a huge list of toppings is awesome. Unfortunately, the pickles and tomatoes were not cooked with the burgers so they tasted a little out of place. The fries were really well seasoned, crispy and fresh. One thing that really makes Five Guys stand out from other chain restaurants is the fact that they give complimentary peanuts to the patrons.
(4)Anthony R.
Somebody get Dickie Jo on the phone and tell him to get his butt over to Five Guys for some lessons in burgerology. Seriously. Hands down the best burger I've had in Eugene / Springfield in at least ten years. And it's a CHAIN, people. A damned good chain, it seems. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger (all burgers are doubles unless you order the small burger) with mustard, grilled onions, and jalapenos. First--everything was made fresh and to order. Despite being cooked to a uniform grey (they don't do medium here), the burger was remarkably juicy! Impressive. The jalapeno slices were not from a pickle jar, but sliced fresh. Yes, it was messy. And delicious. Worth the obscene calorie count. But, but, BUT I'd be remiss, or more to the point, seriously dense and/or idiotic if I didn't mention the french fries. Quite easily the best fries I've ever had anywhere. Not just "fast food" fries. But best fries ever. Hey you, reading this. Yeah, you. You're probably thinking I'm a shill, working for the Five Guys. Not true. Go read some of my other reviews. I don't normally use superlatives in my reviews. These fries are something else. Fresh, hot, crispy-but-not-burnt. You know those people who like their fries "well-done" i.e., burnt? yeah, I don't understand them either. These are golden, crisp, hot, perfect. The only thing keeping me from adding that fifth star is that I've only been here once and there is a small possibility that it may have been some sort of freaky fluke occurrence. Oh...and, finally, they're not cheap...
(4)Aaron S.
Good burger. Great toppings. Good service. Always happy with 5 guys.
(5)Lynda H.
We went to Five guys on 4/1 after having a really bad experience at another restaurant in the same parking lot. As always the burgers were fresh (cooked in front of you fresh) the toppings were great, some of the best fries in the business, and the staff was helpful and friendly. At the end of our visit, the owner of the restaurant came in and we complimented him on the friendliness of the staff, the freshness of the food and just the overall good impression that going to Five Guys gives.
(5)Frank Z.
Great Friend service. Food is Great

SO PEANUT SHELLS ON THE FLOOR ARE A GOOD THING? I have heard a lot about how awesome Five Guys is so I tried it. First the decor was horrible. The restaurant is hideously decorated with peanut shells all over the filthy floor. I almost slipped and fell walking to the counter. I do like that they have the calorie count next to each item on the menu so you can see how fast you are killing yourself with the food items. I ordered a cheeseburger and when I unwrapped it, it was a huge soaking wet mess! I think there was more mayonaise than meat. I have had a better burger at McDonalds, at least their hamburgers aren't soaking wet. The fries were also confusing. They were soggy and burnt. They had an ok taste but they were just limp and oily. I do not see how anyone could actually eat in this establishment because it was horribly loud and smokey as well. They need better ventilation for the grill area. I could not sit around dirty peanut shells, loud music, louder talking, ugly red and white decor, and actually enjoy my meal. This is definitely a "to-go" establishment. The one good thing I can say is that at least the meat itself, once all the mayo was scraped off, was tasty. If you do go there, get your condiments on the side and get it to go.
(2)Cody B.
This is one of the most awesomely bad burger joints I've been to. Great food, great prices but don't expect to stay in shape if you frequent this place. Lol
(4)Andy R.
Man. Okay, well - first of all - NO. This place isn't a classy tea and scone foofy establishment. If you were expecting that...it's a burger joint. Read the sign. We went here on other people's recommendations and SCHMOLEY. I thought the burger and fries were fanTASTIC. The burger itself kept it's great beefy flavor. They didn't cook the snot out of it. I ordered it with almost all the condiments on it. I ordered the small burger, and it was still pretty big. The condiments were all smooshed in with cheese, and sloppy, and dripping on the foil it was packed in. Delish. Complaints about there being TOO many fries? Seriously? OH THE HUMANITY. The fries had the perfect mix of crispy little nub fries, long uber fries, and the softy ones that you KNOW you like. This IS a burger joint. Stuff comes in a greasy brown bag. You get MESSY. You NEED napkins. OTHER people eat here. There are NOT salads. You DON'T get a waiter. If you're looking for that, don't come here. If you're looking for a epic, juicy, real beef, messy burger to gob in your face - this is it. Yes, it's crowded. Yes, there are screaming kids (but shouldn't you be glaring at the parents of said kids? How is that the place's fault?) Yes, there are...peanut shells on the floor. Don't wear flip flops. People are talking of $7 - $10 for a burger AND fries like it's a ton of cash. It's not $3, no. But it IS real ingredients, many local; and I would MUCH rather eat here, and pay a pretty good price, than eat the dog food other places pass off as "burgers" for 3 bucks. Or God forbid, the SAME price. Sheesh. One of the best damn burgers I've had since moving here. But maybe I'm just lucky.
(4)Tony W.
I could go on and on and on, but suffice it to say that I am 44 years old and have not had a better burger.... period. Oh, and the fries rock too!
(5)R.A. P.
I have had better burgers and I have had worse burgers. I have had bigger burgers and I have had smaller burgers. I have had more expensive burgers and cheaper burgers. That puts Five Guys right in the middle so to speak but they got the better part of the middle for the most part in regards to their burgers. As for the fries, the regular fries taste good while the Cajun fries are too spicy for me. Your tastes may vary. The cold drink selection is Coke products so they're good. No milkshakes are sold at Five Guys so if that's important to you, you'll have to go elsewhere. Service time during a pretty busy period was relatively quick. The workers and manager that my friend and I interacted with were friendly enough. I would have given Five Guys four stars but their place is so damned noisy that it takes a lot of enjoyment from eating one's meal. It is also cheek to jowl for seating and I don't like being that crowded. There's better places and there's worse places. Then there's Five Guys.
(3)Pani L.
Kudos for having the calorie counts listed on the menu board. The burger was fine, it wasn't outstanding, but it was solid. Same for the fries. On par with other made on site burger places, but nothing special either.
(3)Jay H.
I love the burgers and fries. The ambiance is fun and the staff are great. 2 thumbs up
(4)Jessica R.
My fiance and I decided to check out Five Guys tonight. The restaurant was packed and noisy, so we decided to take our order home. On the advice of a co-worker, we split an order of fries and each had a bacon cheeseburger. The food was still warm by the time we made it back to our home in Santa Clara. I thought the burger was very tasty, as did my fiance. Honestly, I was more impressed with this burger than I was with the one I had at In-N-Out a few years ago. We were divided on the fries; I thought they were meh, but he liked them. I like my fries super crispy and these are not, and the peanut oil adds a different flavor to them. I'm not really a fan of fries to begin with, though. I thought the price was a bit high for two burgers and an order of fries, but it was a big burger, and the order came up pretty quickly. For a special treat now and then, this place isn't bad. I'd give it another try.
(3)Max P.
If you're 19 and have no regard for your health and/or self respect, you'll probably love this place. Me, I will not likely return. The place is dirty and cluttered. Our fries were old, cold, and overcooked. The burger was acceptable. WHAT...no real milkshakes!
(2)Mary C.
I have been seeing Five Guys pop up all over the country. I tried to avoid the hype as much as possible. The fam and I popped in over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised. If you like Dickey Joe's, you'll love this place. The burgers were excellent. It's cheap and good! They have tons of staff all over the place that are smiley and happy to answer any questions. They don't charge for toppings and they have cajun fries!!!! Can't wait to go back. Also, I know it adds to the ambiance, but they should get rid of the bags of potatoes or peanuts or whatever and add more tables.
(5)Mark F.
Being a big In N Out fan I thought I might me a little biased. So I went there on 3 separate occasions before reviewing. 1. Burger was good. I had one that had all the condiments on it. Great flavor. Only downside was the fact that all the sides were on the bottom. The bun was soggy and the whole burger fell apart after the first bite. 2. The fries. Not bad. I've had both the Cajun and regular. If you like salt then you'll like the fries. It tastes like they dumped a whole salt shaker on them. Make sure you have water to rehydrate. Save yourself some money and order fries to share. 1 small will feed 2 people. 3. Parking is a pain in the A$&. I would still go back as long as someone else was paying for it. Otherwise, I'd make the 5 hour drive to the nearest In N Out in Redding California
(3)Michelle Y.
not a fan. limp greasy fries. burger was just nasty. the place was dirty - grossly so.
(1)Trimaine B.
Really a two star, but the fries do merit one more star. Some of the best fries I have tasted in the city. However, burgers seem to be the major emphasis of this place and the two I have had so far have been average at best. The burger I had today was rather soggy, and it is not due to my toppings because the only topping I had was jalepenos and this establishment uses fresh cut jalepenos rather than something out of a can. So my guess the sogginess must come from the grease burger itself and cheese. Maybe this was the intention... Considering the fact there were 55 people in the shop today (Yes I counted because I had to wait about 10mins to get my order and I was bored) I will give this place one more shot. Maybe the 15 people behind the counter working the grills were swamped and did not have the opportunity to master the product for which this place is supposedly known for.
(3)Mike A.
Ordered to go. Bacon Cheeseburger with light mayo and ketchup along with tomato and lettuce...pretty simple. I got back to my hotel room to open my burger and found it was missing not only the ketchup and cheese but also the bacon. I immediately called the establishment for a solution but was met with and answering machine, still during business hours. I left a message for a return call back but received nothing. Sorry Five Guys, you had your chance...I won't be back.
(1)Kalub H.
This place was awesome! I attended on their fist day open and have been back a few times since. There food has a very home-made flavor. Price is pretty sweet also. It reminds me of In-N-Out but the burgers are bigger and cost a little more. I love all the free toppings and the fries! Dicky joe's is gunna have to step it up to keep up with them.
(5)Sam C.
Our Five Guys experience was good! Fast service, a good quality burger with toppings aplenty!!! Did I mention how good the fries were?!?!?! French fries, fresh cut, deep fried in peanut oil...FTW!!! Full of wonderful tasty flavors and not greasy at all! The burgers were good, but nothing to write home about. The toppings sure made it stand out more and best of all my burger had bacon, and sauteed onions in it and it didn't fall apart and disintegrate as I was eating it (*ahem* Dickies). Oh yeah did I also mention they had plenty of toppings to choose from unlike said previous burger establishment who will randomly run out of bacon or sauteed onions? Anyhow their burgers remind me more like my other favorite "fast/drive-in style" burger joint, In-N-Out. It's worth going even if it just for the fries!
(3)Lorisin W.
Not bad free toppings and four of us ate for under 20 bucks. Would definitely go back.
(4)Joe B.
Ok. a little over-rated. As Arthur said, "it's a $10 Wendy's."
(2)Jim H.
First time in a Five Guys and it was a disappointment. I would rank it with Mcdonalds/Burger KIng, mediocre. Fries were way too salty, burgers had nice toppings, but were no better than okay. Soogy buns too. Prices are great, as they should be. I wanted iced tea, all they had was that powdery stuff out a machine. It ran water instead of tea, took five minutes to get it working after someone came out of the kitchen. Dairy Queen on Coburg Road has much better burgers!
(2)Roxy R.
This is some of the WORST, disgusting slop I've ever been fed. TOTAL CRAP food. Service was fine, but again" FOOD IS GROSS. I'd rather eat pig slop.... Save your arteries!
(1)Big Eared M.
Better than most...open kitchen is fun. Small fries are way more than enough. Average for a "premium" Burger joint.
(3)Shannon H.
Excellent burgers, tons of fries, and great (free) toppings. No ambience or parking. Overall, better than the usual fast food for sure.
(4)Elaine S.
I went to Five Guys today at around 1 PM and was glad to find that it wasn't that crowded. I ordered a veggie sandwich, a regular order of cajun fries, and a regular soda, which came out to $7.97. The veggie sandwich was all right. Basically veggies in-between two buns. It's nothing to write home about, but by the time I had gotten to the last few bites of the sandwich, the bun was soggy. Maybe I should've skipped the tomatoes? They give a generous helping of fries, although after some thought, I realized that a regular order is $2.99 (Cajun doesn't cost any extra), so maybe that explains the portions. The Cajun fries were oily and not as Cajun as I had expected. It was an okay meal, but like the rating system says, "Meh. I've experienced better." I was definitely full from the food, but also a bit queasy. A previous experience at another Five Guys didn't leave any negative feelings, but if I could go back in time, I would've definitely eaten at one of the nearby eateries instead.
(2)Zacharias K.
I like eating healthy generally, but for whatever reason my gut does not get queasy at the idea of eating at Five Guys. Its cheap and decent fast food. One thing to ask though, why will the employees never set down your bag when its time for you to pick it up? Is the idea that they care about me? Maybe so ...but at least the food is OK. The secret is clearly in their cake like buns for the burgers....
(3)Gia C.
I was really glad to see these guys make it out this far. They have really good seasoned fries, a unique atmosphere and we've never had a problem with the burgers (or anything else). My kids love them. My son calls them "yummy patties" and they'll usually opt for FG when it's their night to pick.
(4)D D.
Though I had never experienced it before, I was very excited for Five Guys to come to this area and thus I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I set the bar too high. It wasn't bad, but it really wasn't good either. The fries were so-so and the burger was just okay. The place was packed and there are way too many tables in there. I was really suprised they didn't serve milkshakes as well. For the price I would go to a local establishment that won a reader's choice award for their burger and fries: Dickie Joe's.
(2)Molly P.
$10 for a hamburger, fries and drink is plenty expensive when there is little decor and it looks like a warehouse. Maybe some people's cup of tea ...not mine. COLD and noisy. Some free toppings don't make up for it!
(1)Ed M.
One thing I really liked about coming here was the large selection of toppings for your burger. Sautéed onions and/or mushrooms, fresh toppings including jalapeño's. I had the regular burger, which actually has two patties. Very tasty and large enough to actually fill you up. The fries I also enjoyed. It reminded me a bit of "in & outs" fries. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Great place to get away from the regular chain places.
(4)Ryan P.
If I want fast food and I'm craving a burger and fries, this is where I go now. They're pretty expensive though so make sure you have more than 5-10 bucks. Still not better than In N' Out, though. :P
(4)Eric P.
Great burger, had an all the way with A1. I think Dickie jo's will be in for a fight. You know you are having a great burger when you hear slurping sounds while eating this mouth stretcher. Best part is you can get a dinner and a movie in the same parking lot!
(4)Jody G.
Okay so its a burger joint. A very good greasy burger and yummy fries await us. Oh sure its hard to contain the burger and toppings in the bun and yes they serve about 5 pounds of french fries in an order but everything is delicious. Peanuts while you wait. It gets a bit noisy in here with the music and the crowd so take it with you. We wish there was ample parking and we noted five guys crowds out their neighboring business with no regard. At this location you generally have to park at the porn store right next door. So if you don't want anyone seeing your car there, park around out back and walk around front.
(4)Robert L.
Very low quality ingredients which are not reflected in their higher prices. If the prices were about half as much then you'd get what you pay for. The burger was greasy and didnt have great flavor , the buns belong in a hospital cafeteria and the bacon was the lowest quality I've ever had. Not sure why so many people like this place so much. I'll stick with Dickie Jo's!
(1)Ruby O.
I don't know how anyone can complain about 5 Guys!!! I have never had a problem with employees standing around or not understanding my order. My food is cooked perfectly and the buns are never soggy. Fries are the best. No one in town compares to 5 Guys!!!! Now that a store has opened up down the street from my office, I know I now have a place to go for an excellent burger! When in Spfld, my bf and I make sure to go to 5 Guys there. We just love it!

Not a bad burger for the price. The fries were very good. Not too greasy and with good flavor. The shop is way too small for the business it is doing now. When we arrived the line was almost out the door, but even then the wait was only a couple of minutes. The big hamburger is two patties of about 1/4 pound each and came with all the fixings on a typical bun with sesame seeds. No fast food burger bun survives the trip home (there was nowhere to sit). This bun was better than most but still fell apart on one end.
