There was a recent change of ownership and my husband and I have visited twice in hopes that the standards of the former owner held. They definitely have! The new proprietor is friendly and offers attentive service. This summer (2015) we have enjoyed several outstanding lunches, paired with really nice wines. The Wine shopping is also good. There is a wide range of selection of wines along with price points at both ends of the scale. Cork Cellars is a great addition to the dining/shopping options in Sisters!!

Just went in for the first time after learning they have a light lunch menu. The owner, a nice guy named Rick, made a delicious Spicy Mustard Panini. It was so, so good. It comes in priced at $9, but it's totally worth it. If I hadn't been working, I would have paired it with a glass of red from the sweeter side. I work nearby, and you can be sure I am going back again soon and order another.

This was my first visit to Sisters. We drove all the way through town, and at the end we saw Cork Cellars. We decided to stop in for a tasting and then go look for lunch, but it turned out they also serve food. After a wonderful tasting and chat with the owner he prepared us a couple of sandwiches which were out of this world! We'll definitely go back.

So far I would say that the new owner at cork cellar in sisters Oregon is a expert on everything wine with a good attitude. Creative menu that celebrates a perfect outlook on the town of Sisters! Rustic but elegant! As of me I'm a chef of the highest level of standards. As for this town we needed to have a change of this establishment! Welcome to the public come try the new version and enjoy. Nice wine and food pairings and good prices for what is mostly known as tapas. As told by myself a 5 star Chef. Nice job!

I knew when my Yelp friends Jen K and Michele R had been here this was a must go. On this Saturday, it was an unfortunate one if you are a business owner in Sisters. Sisters is under going a street and sidewalk renovation right now and, therefore, it makes it difficult for a local business owner, however, this place still had a nice flow of clientele coming into the establishment. Upon arrival we were greeted by Cody, a nice young man who knows his way around wine and can make suggestions based on your price point. Cody is the owner's son and together they keep this place running daily from noon to 9 PM. On this day we order a cheese plate with various cheeses and breads. There was an error and the olives were forgotten as I mentioned that to my husband, Cody to the rescue overhead by dismay and brought out a small container of olives. We enjoyed the wine and food, they also make pizzas and sandwiches (so note to self for next time). While we were there they had to do some quick damage control as they began compacting the cement out front which causes the bottles on display (which there are many) to shake. They quickly moved the display to avoid breakage. They are offering a percentage off of their wines while the exterior is under construction so take advantage of that. They are supposed to be done with the work in June so hurry on in. I'll definitely be back to try this place again. PS When I told Cody they had a good rating on Yelp, he said wait 'til I tell my mom, she will cry. Too cute. Love a family owned business. Check it out.

Excellent service. The owner was very friendly and brought out water for our dog. The artichoke dip is spicy and creamy in just the right amounts. Outside seating is pleasant, if the nearby traffic can be a bit noisy.

Tasty tapas, great beer and excellent service. Outdoor seating is dog friendly as well.

It is painful to visit one of my favorite cities in Oregon and see so many local places close. The recession hit hard in this part of the state over the past couple of years. So I was greatly relieved to discover that Cork Cellars didn't close, but just relocated a few blocks away in late 2011. It is now part of a combined business. The other half is Melvin's Fir Street Market. So you can enjoy the wine bar or just pick up a bottle of wine (or two) along with your groceries. After making multiple visits to the original location, I do have to express my preference for that location. But, I hope that combining forces will mean that this local favorite will thrive for many more years. I've always experienced very nice service from the staff. The space is relatively open with only a partial wall divider, so when you sit at a table in the wine bar, you are looking at the aisles of a market. So the overall atmosphere has suffered a bit. However, they still have their staff picks of reasonably priced wines in addition to a rather nice selection of wines at various price points. While I'm still very inclined to shop here, I'm less likely to stay and drink on site. **New address is 160 S. Fir Street. Update submitted to Yelp.

I am thrilled the old owners of Cork Cellars are BACK and are providing awesome service and a much more professional and lovely atmosphere! Welcome back, Rick!

Every hour is Happy Hour with wine. While visiting Sisters we stumbled into this place and we were delighted to fine such a cute lil' establishment. We were expecting more of OR wines, but found more of CA and WA wines. Hey, I'm not complaining as long as it's good wines. Our sommerlier, Nadine (?), knows her stuff and I'm loving her selections of wines. We tasted 8 of 12 offerings, $6 for 4 tastings each. Since my hubby and I shared all our food and drinks, it gave us the joy to max our wine excursion. Nadine is spot-on with each character of the wines which really impressed us. We also ordered her apple brie fig rosemary brushetta. It went will with our mix of whites and reds. I checked out her wine cellar and noticed that she have a very attractive price points for your budget. We are glad that we stopped by and made it our first stop before venturing our day. You will love Nadine, the shop, and her insight of the city she clearly loves. We love you Nadine and hope to see you again! For all the wine lovers, this is a Must.

A cute little wine shop where you can just sit back and sip of the wonderful wines of Oregon. I came here with the Marine looking to relax a bit before hitting up dinner. We were able to sample some wines, which were fantastic, before settling on our favorite. The woman working there was nice and just a pleasure to talk to. I loved that she was playing Jack Johnson and other good music as we unwinded with some fabulous reds and a trio of appetizers. I wish I could have stayed longer, but the Marine felt uncomfortable with the locals eavesdropping on us. I am definitely coming back to try their paninis the next time I head up there.

Don't be fooled by the entrance via the grocery store. A real gem of a place. A casual wine bar and a few tables with outside seating if desired. The owner/ server is very friendly and knowledgable about the wines, good selection by the glass and the panini sandwiches are excellent. Will be going back!

It occurred to us that the chanteuse crooning the Sweet Charity show tune from the sound system, "Hey big spender, spend a little time with me", had it wrong as applied to Cork Cellars. So many good things to say about this little gem. And one of them is you do not have to be a big spender to spend some time there. Delightfully inexpensive place to drink good "school night" wine and enjoy a small bite. Another good thing is the afore mentioned music mix...jazz standards, contemporary singer - songwriter selections, show tunes, Spanish guitar...wine drinking music dialed down in volume to encourage conversation too. Just right. The staff says some nights there is a DJ or live performance. Still another good thing is the delightful ambiance inside and outdoor seating on the raised porch. Another good thing is friendly owners and staff who are also knowledgeable about the product they sell. No pretension here. This is an "every body knows your name" kind of place. All good. Very good. In fact in the context of Sisters it is 4 "plus" stars good. Nice selection of wines for sale in the wine cellar room to drink in or take away and in prices ranging from bargains to investments. Wines by the glass are several and change weekly. This week offered a French Blanc de Blanc champagne (only $5 for a generous pour in a Riedel glass), about six whites - domestic and foreign, as many or more reds and a domestic port. The most expensive pour was one of the reds at $9 and the remainder were around $5 to $7. Wine sampler can be purchased at 4 samples (2 oz each) for only $6. You cannot beat that deal in Central Oregon and the wines we tried were all new to us and we enjoyed each one. A few beers, sparkling water and soft drinks rounded out the beverage menu. Food is small plates from marcona almonds to bruschetta to salads to pannini to antipasti plates, cheese plates and Mediterranean plates with prices from $3 to $14 (Mediterranean plate). We had bruschetta with fig jam, melted brie and fresh apples. It was just right to feed both of us and a bargain at $5. (Bread is sandwich loaf style from a local Bend bakery. If we could wave a magic wand, we'd upgrade that bread to one of the artisan options from Sparrow Bakery or Village Baker.) I'm sure you won't tell anyone if we tell you that on Tuesdays you get a discount on purchases of three or more bottles of wine and $1 off a glass of wine and pannini and desserts (two to chose from). That will be just our little secret. :-)

FYI Update fellow yelpsters...Cork Cellars has moved to a new location (just a block south) and has married with another sweet new business. You will find Melvin's Fir St. Market & Cork Cellars sharing the same recently remodeled diggs, located in the old downtown Sisters Post Office building. (left/right@Sisters Drug, accross from Eurosports Bike shop) I will return with a full review when time allows, but I gotta say? Good things are happening here for vino and foodie peeps alike. Check it out :-) Cheers & Chow for now~

Weird. That's about it, weird. We were in Sisters for a fun morning of antiquing and were ready for a light bite. The 4.5 stars and descriptions of small plates had us sold. Upon walking into nice ambiance and what appeared to be a terrific selection of wines, we were somewhat baffled. There was a counter at the back, but it seemed like they weren't doing food at noonish. We asked the gentleman behind the counter if he had food available. He said yes and handed us menus to peruse. It was an odd vibe, no doubt about it. We probably should have cut our losses, especially since he then did nothing to indicate where we were to sit or if we should seat ourselves, so we asked again. He told us to seat ourselves. There were four tables in the whole place, and the premier spot was taken by a woman I believe to be the owner. She had a laptop out, a plate of half-eaten chaurcuterie, and was sucking on a giant diet Coke. It was just weird, again, weird. The hospital scrub top and shorts didn't help to endear us to her either. Our guy from the back came to take our order and made himself at home by sitting down at our table. Weird. My niece asked what the soup of the day was. He replied, "Air." I guess that meant no soup. I asked if they pickled their own beets for the beet salad or got them locally. Scrubs replied from the other side of the room, "they come from a can." Given this warm reception, the three of us in my party ordered safe panninis. After about five minutes, our server came back to tell us they were out of the kettle chips the sandwiches came with but offered us some pita chips instead. Perfect. We actually preferred pita chips, so that was an improvement. Eventually the panninis came out, and my reaction was that they were definitely anemic. Not yummy and crunchy and crusty, but no color whatsoever on white bread. The cheese was slightly melted, but the flavors were good. At this point, Scrubs left the building and returned a short while later with a giant bag of kettle chips. Hmmm. Mystery solved. We were ready to high tail it out of this Twilight Zone episode and asked for the bill. Our server returned promptly and, for extra credit, told us he had split up the bill to make it easier on us to figure it out. It read: Veg Pannini $10. Turkey Pannini $10. Prosciutto Pannini $10. Boy, it's a good thing he separated out that complicated math for us. At least we left laughing. Bottom line: shop here for what appears to be an amazing selection of local and other wines and stay far, far away from the food.

Good spot for some wine tasting in Sisters. The owner is very personable and always makes it a great time for us. The location is convenient inside of a small, boutique grocery store. Corks has a good selection of wine and has space to have a small child while also being able to get her a snack from the grocery store. I would recommend this place to all of my friends.

Delightfully unpretentious wine shop / cafe, adjacent to a lowkey small local grocery shop. Buy a glass (or bottle) of wine, and settle in with a delicious pressed sandwich. No corkage charged for your in-store wine purchases, so you can make an afternoon of it. The owner is helpful and welcoming. If someone in your party doesn't like wine, they can purchase a non-alcoholic beverage in the adjacent supermarket and drink it in the wine cafe. Don't miss this gem on your trip to Sisters!

Excellent sandwiches! Nice clean and large selection of wines to buy!

This is the best panini and hang-out spot in town... it's a wine shop (so you can buy bottles of wine from $5-$hundreds) and it's also a bar. You can have a glass of wine, a beer, and you can choose from a couple different sandwiches, salads, and large cheese plates and antipasta plate. There are owners/wine makers of local wineries (from OR, WA and CA) that come to the shop on occasion (typically throughout the summer) and then there is a holiday wine tasting series that starts the first week of November and goes through the end of December. All the series are outlined on the website. Because it's the only non-smoking bar in town, it's the only place that I'd go to hang out and have a drink. It's starting to get insane on Friday evenings... so if you're looking for something a little quieter - try a Saturday night! The owner is also very fun and knowledgeable - makes buying and drinking wine a real treat... as if it weren't anyway! :)
