It was by far The Best Dinner experience EVER!! The clam chowder was perfect!! The fries were seasoned just right!! And the Chicken was done Just Right!!

Really great clam chowder, much better than the 2 other places we tried in town. Also, French dip,was superb! Although.'the ua jus was rather salty. Halibut was terrific! Down to earth place, like, where the local regulars go. I would certainly return!

This local family restaurant located at Cannon Beach Junction (US 101 & US 26), which serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The American menu offers typical breakfast dishes, plus sandwiches, salads, soups, chowders, comfort dishes, plenty of seafood dishes, and homemade desserts. The restaurant has a cocktail lounge with TVs and Oregon Video Lottery terminals on the left side and the cozy dining room on the right side. The homey atmosphere is very welcoming with framed pictures on the walls and country decor. I stopped here for dinner around 8:30PM on a typical weeknight and I was the only diner here. I ordered the fried Captain's Plate ($16.95-prawns, halibut, & scallops fried in homemade batter) served with choice of starch, garlic toast, tartar & sweet & sour sauces and salad or chowder. I chose the cup of chowder, which was very good, a thick (passed the spoon test) and creamy consistency with potato chunks and minced clams. The modest portion of fried seafood had a crispy and greasy texture on the outside (like a tempura batter), pretty good. The rice pilaf was standard fare and the garlic toast was buttery. For dessert, the Blackberry Pie ($3.75) was served warm with Vanilla Ice Cream and very good. The service was good this night.

A friend recommended this restaurant, and I'm so glad they did! Definitely one of our favorite meals of our long weekend on the coast. No, this isn't fancy. Yes, it's kitschy. It's the kind of place that hasn't changed in 30 years, and that's just fine with me. Yum!

How sad for me! My battery died on my portable device, and I couldn't Yelp a restaurant so I resorted to the next best thing: word of mouth. Alas, I was directed to a place where the locals go, and I didn't realize a "piece" of Halibut meant it was deep-friend. Boo! The server was extremely friendly and it was a local diner off the highway, but I can't say it wowed me on any level of food experience.

This was a sad place to eat fish & chips.. The tuna and salmon were horrible, the cod was alright. The only thing the place had going for them is the house made tartar and wasabi mayo.. Mehh.... Save your money!

Did take out . The Clam chowder was good . But had a strong celery flavor. Prices are good . Has a nice selection of things to eat . Fish , Steaks , Burgers , Salad . I would go back . One thing It kind of has a strange smell . Wet or moldy ?

We've only had breakfast here a couple times but felt it was excellent and you won't leave hungry. My scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. I had the chicken fried steak which was a bit on the tough side (not fork tender) but a butter knife did the trick with ease. The sausage gravy is some of the best I've ever had. Hash browns are nothing special but are crisp on top and not soggy. The coffee keeps coming as do water refills. The wait staff has always been super friendly and the prices are reasonable. We tried it on a whim once because we were getting tired of Pig & Pancake and Stephanie's Cabin, both good restaurants to be sure but we wanted to try something else and the first visit told us we'd be back. Note: I don't think this place has been redecorated since the 70s but we sort of like the retro feel. Great place to people watch. You'll see hunters in camo, fishermen, grandmas and grandpas, families, even saw a soldier there last time. Have to try lunch there some time. Get back to you on that.

Read the reviews and decided to give this place a chance. I'm very particular on clam chowder because I feel that my work has the best I've ever had, and wasn't really impressed. I felt like it tasted like flour. My friend and I split the Captain's platter (not sure the exact name)...I'm not a huge fan of fried food, but the server recommended the fried seafood rather than the sautéed seafood. We were both pleasantly surprised. It was delicious and a great dish to split because it was huge! My son got a hamburger and fries and that was delicious too. Our server was very nice and efficient. I would definitely go back!

I flew out to Portland, OR to visit my friend who was on spring break. We decided to drive to the coast and ended up in Seaside for the day. On the way to the beach she noticed Sea Breeze Restaurant and decided that we would go there for dinner on the way home. Am I ever glad we did! We both had the prime rib which was deliciously cooked to my liking. It came with a choice of potato (I went baked), garlic toast (thick, with crisp edges and buttery) and soup or salad. I had the soup. Let me walk you through my dinner. The chowder was hot (temperature), creamy and delicious. Whoever prepares this soup has done their homework on what makes a good chowder. There were substantial pieces of potato, clams galore, and that thick creamy and buttery base that made my tongue cry when I was out of chowder! My prime rib came out next accompanied by garlic toast which was buttery, not too garlicky, and the toasty edges gave it a nice crisp! It was perfection. The baked potato was of good size, it came with a generous portion of sour cream sprinkled with chives, and a great ball of real butter. The prime rib was thing of beauty. With a gorgeous strip of fat running down the middle of the cut of meat I knew that I was in for a great taste experience here. Served with a side of tangy horseradish and a salty au jus what more could you ask for? The answer is a to-go box. It's such a big serving that you're bound to take half of it home with you. We loved the Sea Breeze so much that a few days later when the weather cleared up in Portland we decided to head to Astoria for the day, and back by the Sea Breeze... so we stopped in again for dinner! The waitress remembered us, and it cemented the Sea Breeze in my heart.

average food, service, and prices. Nothing great. I tried the halibut sandwich which was a small piece of breaded fish, some shredded lettuce, tomatoes, lemon, and tartar sauce on a really bad hamburger bun. The cost was $8.50. It came with a choice of fries, salad, or chowder, I tried the chowder. The atmosphere was dated and not maintained. They have a separate area which is a bar. Same comments for that. Not planning to go back.

Sea Breeze has the be the best breakfast on the Oregon coast. But you wouldn't know it from the outside. The service is friendly downhome service. The coffee nutty and free flowing. Then you get the food, BETTER than homemade. Crisp thick cut bacon, perfect golden hashbrowns, fluffy eggs. This place is a MUST on every trip to the Seaside or Cannon Beach area. Just north of sunset high way (26) on Hwy 101. If you try it and like it tell a friend. Small business deserve our support!

The food was okay. The hostess couldn't tell the berry pie from the cherry and of course gave me the wrong kind. Next time I will dine in.It was take out, so that's why only 3 stars.

I had the exact same meal as Shawn M and it was exactly as described. My spouse had the chowder and said it was the best ever. Our son ate all of his, a first. We will be stopping in again. The waitress was very friendly and they had a jar of tootsie-rolls at the table. Instant desert for the kiddo!
