Delicious is what's on the menu! If you're in the mood for an old fashioned, country, down home, American-style breakfast you can't do much better than this. The food and atmosphere are cozy and comforting like Grandma's house, not a greasy diner. Grab the table facing the water to watch paddle boarders glide by as you dig into amazing bacon, biscuits, gravy and egg combos. Bonus - tasty gluten-free French toast.

Best Breakfast in Seaside, Or. Absolutely a great find during the Amateur Radio SEAPAC Convention this year! Will be back with all my friends!

I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with hash browns and fruit. My wife ordered the Denver omelette with hash browns and a biscuit. This place is great! When you walk in it feels like your at home. You can smell the food cooking and the atmosphere was so nice. It felt like you were going to grandma's house and she's cooking up a meal for you. It's just awesome. Also, Patty was the one cooking. Now I don't know about you, I don't usually see that. She just put that much love into the food. When you do go here make its part of a strip mall to the right towards he end. It was kind of hidden but man when you get here you'll. Leave full and happy. Thanks again guys!

Oh my, oh my, oh my! Need 6 stars for this one! Comfy, cute decor. River view. Absolutely solid professional service. And, well, the home-cooked meals are just amazing. Tea service comes with sweet china and a tea cozy. Waffles and french toast come with the real-deal maple syrup. Hubby's eggs were cooked perfectly to his taste. Hearty food, plenty of it. And delicious! Great wowser affordable prices, too. Don't lose your way. It's not directly on Broadway. It's around the corner, walking along the pier by the river. And you don't want to miss Patty's!

First time in seaside, this cafe has amazing food for a great price. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great little breakfast place. (Fresh hash-browns and big omelets)

I had the best cup of Boyd's Red Wagon coffee at the Wicker Cafe today in Seaside, Oregon. I even enjoyed a delicious cinnamon roll for only $2.50, fabulous. The service was very good and the restaurant was delightfully clean and bright. It will go on my list of favorites in Seaside now. So, glad I tried this new cafe.

While on our first trip to Seaside we tried Patty's based on Yelp reviews and were sadly disappointed. We thought Patty was incredibly rude and we felt very unwelcome. I asked for cheddar cheese on my eggs which they didn't have. Patty then proceeded to rant about all of the reasons she doesn't like cheddar cheese to our waiter, all of which we heard. In addition to horrible service our food was burnt! Do yourself a favor & skip this place. Go somewhere that actually wants your business.

This is the perfect spot to wander in on an early beach morning for a home cooked hearty breakfast. Perfectly done eggs (there really is a difference), center cut bacon and home made hash browns. I'll be back.

Good food- pretty good portion size for the price! Friendly staff. Location is nice overlooking the water! Inside was cute

  • Ben M.

Amazing sandwiches at a good price. The place was empty, but a local pointed me to it. I could see how it might be slow service if it was busy. Not geared to large groups or busy tourists.

  • Gina P.

Quality home-style breakfasts & lunch items on the menu...check! Affordable: double check! Friendly & welcoming staff: triple check! The interior looks like it's been recently renovated & clean (so is the small bathroom in the back). There is also a nostalgic atmosphere with all the wicker furnishings and Casablanca posters. Peaceful vibes & soft jazz music made for a great breakfast dining experience. The hubby and I just ate here this morning & we've made this cozy restaraunt a must whenever we're back in Seaside... *;)

  • M L.

The waiter was extremely rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. The entire time we were there we were made to feel unwelcome and bothersome. Will definitely not be going back. Not even sure this place deserves the 1 star. The food we ordered was cold when it was brought to us and was mediocre at best.

  • Natasha H.

I agree with Nicole and Jaime on their negative reviews. This place was slow at getting us their food when there was only two other tables there, which had already received their food, so it seems like it shouldn't take that over a half hour to do hash browns and eggs. They also made it seem like it was an inconvenience that there were six people in our party and that they would have to push two tables together. Ridiculous to make your customers feel unwelcomed! When we finally got our food, our hash browns were burnt, bacon was overcooked, and the omelet was mush. Also, I received my omelet way after everyone else at my table got their food...and I could hear them heating it up in the microwave in the back! It was just gross! We only came here based on the yelp reviews, but after coming here, I wish we just would have gone to the Pig and Pancake for breakfast! I really don't understand why it has high reviews!

    Coffee sucked.

First time at this restaurant. Ordered the special, which was a sausage and spinach omelette. Food was good. The atmosphere was friendly. Thought the prices were a little on the high side, but would go again.

I was in search of a good breakfast in Seaside, and looking for a place open early in the morning. My baby son wakes up at 5:30AM, so we found ourselves walking the streets of Seaside while on vacation. Unfortunately I didn't discover Patty's until our last day there. She succeeds and laying forth an amazing breakfast in her modest little cafe. I don't know what she is doing back there in that kitchen, but it is probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The eggs are perfectly cooked, soft, not too oily, or overtly seasoned. The peppered bacon was done perfectly with a good crunch, and good pork flavor coming through. I think the greatest piece was the hash browns, which were light and delicate and obviously made with love from scratch, that morning. Her individual elements were on par with what I've had at the Salish lodge at 10 times the price. My only gripes - 1) The place is small, and if I brought my family of five in there we would probably overwhelm the rest of the patrons (getting a 5, 4, and 0.5 year old to eat quietly is, well, close to impossible). 2) The coffee was very weak. I like really strong black coffee, and it didn't cut it for me. The breakfast food, however, totally made up for it. Bravo Patty. I hope to be back to Seaside within the next 12-18 months and I'll remember to come back for some great food!

Patty's is wonderful. Homey, quite, clean and just a refreshing break from the TV blaring restaurants that seem to be everywhere nowadays. Quite piano music greets you, you receive your tea in a hand-knit cosey, the food is super-fresh and prepared by Patty herself. Perhaps most refreshing are the more-than-fair prices in this tourist town. And, you have a front-row-seat view of the river and the Cormorants eating their breakfast by diving for bait fish. The service is first rate, the food simple by perfectly prepared, and it's not a chain - it's a one-of-a-kind. We found this one thanks to Yelpers - and I agree, it's the best kept breakfast secret in Seaside!

    (4)
  • Harvey L.

Great find thanks to other Yelpers. We were looking for a good breakfast near the Promenade and we always prefer local businesses. The room felt like we were having breakfast in a B&B with an excellent view of the river. Food and service was terrific. I had a spinach scramble with ham with a side of toast and it was a huge portion and tidied me over until dinner. Wife and 12 yr old daughter had french toast and 10 yr old daughter got scrambled eggs and hash browns. Coffee was good. This was charming, comfortable, delicious, and uniquely Seaside.

After a day of wandering around on a chilly day in Seaside, we really just wanted something cheap and hopefully including soup. We accidentally stumbled on this quant little off-the-beaten-path cafe. I had the best reuben I ever had and perfect cheddar broccoli soup. The service was extremely friendly and down to earth. After paying $50ish dollars a meal in seaside, we were relieved to only spend $19 for such a satisfying meal. You want to go here.

  • Mathew R.

We stayed in seaside for a week and ate at a different restaurant for every meal, never going anywhere twice. Patty's was an exception. Do yourself a favor and stop by for lunch or breakfast. The food is all cooked by Patty herself and is made with love. Her passion for what she does is apparent in every bite. Out of all the great places we ate this week, Patty's was our favorite.

    (5)
  • Steve B.

The food was pretty good but fairly basic (which isn't a bad thing). I felt like I was at my Mum's house having breakfast - a nice relaxed atmosphere where we were all able to chat and enjoy the morning.

  • Deena H.

My daughter and I were looking for a quiet breakfast spot, away from the summer time crowds of Seaside and found Patty's on Yelp. It was everything we hoped it would be. Slow paced, friendly and the food was homemade and comforting.

  • Jaime K.

Based on the reviews we decided to try this place for breakfast. The place was dead when we walked in. We were waited on right away but big thumbs down for NO high chairs for little ones or booster seats.. How can you run a restaurant and not provide the basics? Another big thumbs down for the server who handled are coffee mugs by the rim and not the handle. Menu choices are very basic, which isn't a bad thing but you should be able to put in extra care in preparation if that is the case. Since we were the only patrons in the restaurant I can't understand why it took so long to get eggs and pancakes on the table. Also, why were they using the microwave to cook the food???? Our table had a great view into the kitchen/prep area. Our server was also a prep cook I guess. I watched as he handled the bacon that was semi-cooked in the oven and finished in the microwave with his bare hands!!! The place looks like a flea market. Christmas decorations still up in July??? The food was not great and based on how many times I heard the microwave go off I believe they prepare a lot of it via it :( We would have been better off at McDonald's...

Great breakfast made by Patty herself.

  • DeDe O.

After reading the other Yelp reviews, I was very excited to try this place out...especially since I'm rarely here during the week and it's closed on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the experience. The menu was decent, with one page of breakfast items, which I've found usually lends to really good food. In this case, my theory was proven wrong. The dish that always catches my eye in "homemade" food establishments is corned beef hash, but I always ask if it's homemade, just to be sure. I was told that it was, so I was expecting it to at least look chunky and delicious...but when it arrived, it resembled its canned counterpart. Eww. Perhaps there are fresh extras added to it, like onions or red potatoes, but it didn't add to the flavor. I was disappointed. The hashbrowns, which others raved about, were mediocre at best. However, the homemade biscuit was impressive. Definitely the highlight of my experience. Oh, and the fresh squeezed orange juice (it wasn't listed as fresh squeezed, so it was a delightful surprise when we were served). My four year old ordered the waffle which she ate most of. I sampled (specifically for the review) and again, nothing that blew my hair back, but good and affordable at $4.95. Prices are a plus at Patty's, I must say. Will we go back? Probably not.

  • David W.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts here in Patty's unpretentious, bright, and friendly cafe overlooking the river. Definitely the best breakfast buy in town. The homey friendliness of the waitress, and Patty herself, made us feel like we were welcome family visitors, not tourists. Patty's daily specials, especially whatever "scramble" she has going is the best value.

  • Jesse K.

Found this place on Yelp and had I not looked at the app I probably would have walked by never knowing it was there. Service The service was pretty good, we were seated right away. The only thing I thought was odd is that when I asked for some ketchup for my hashbrowns he told me normally we don't keep it on the tables so people taste their food first which felt a little judgy to me. He then returned about a minute later and asked for the ketchup back because they only keep one bottle in tye restaurant. Was just odd to me. Decor The place was kind of a cool mismash of movie posters and any generic grandma's house you could think of. There were a variety of knickknacks and teapots and all of the tables had tablecloths which was a nice touch. It felt very quiet though, it was kind of like eating in a library. Everyone was speaking in hushed tones including the waiter, coming with a 1 year old and a 9 year old it felt like every noise they made was ten times louder. The location is great though, right on the river just off of Broadway. Food The food was solid, everything was scratch made including the biscuits. Very traditional country style breakfasts. I got a waffle was disappointed it didnt come with eggs or bacon or anything so had to order a second breakfast to split with the family. The food was great though, a nice little breakfast find. Be aware though very limited hours and not ooen on the weekends so plan accordingly!

We came through Seaside headed home to Washington after a week further south on the Oregon Coast. At this point, we were looking for a good breakfast spot that wasn't going to bruise our pockets as eating out on the coast can. We found Patty's on Yelp with the elusive single $ in the price range, and decided to give it a try. It was a good move. Patty's is tucked just off the promenade in Seaside. Upon entering, you come across a home like setting but with Humphrey Bogart posters everywhere. Its very inviting, and our server was super friendly. The menu consisted of your normal American diner dishes, but the portions upon receipt were big and grubbing. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste it in each bite. This was a really good way to close out our vacation, and cheap too. Check them out.

What a great find for breakfast. They serve breakfast until 2 pm. Closed on Saturdays. I really enjoyed the Denver omelet! It was stuffed full of ham, onions, peppers & cheese. Also, the biscuits are light and flavorful. The menu isn't huge, but what's on it is a great selection to please everyone at the table, I clung gluten free options. You will leave full and satisfied. The service staff is also very pleasant and accomodating and the view is charming.

We walked in for breakfast with our 3 year old grandson, a little nervous because it seems like a more grown up place. No worries. Crayons on a paper placemat works. I had a great omelette, little one tore up the fruit cup and gramma enjoyed her ham and eggs. Friendly folks, very good value.

So awesome we came back the next day. Absolutely delicious, high quality dining in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return!

    (5)
  • Nick E.

Just okay breakfast items. Portions, price, and quality the same as the nearby bugger chain restaurants. The advantage thought is they weren't as busy. Disadvantage is the smaller selection. They were a little in your face about how local and freshly make everything was but in the end we couldn't tell the difference.

Patty's is the cutest little spot on the river. The breakfast was awesome!! We had 5 people and we all cleaned our plates! Yay clean plate club for us. We will be back for sure!! Thank you Patty for creating such a wonderful spot in Seaside.

We (4) had a great breakfast: homemade hash, eggs over easy cooked perfectly, biscuits n gravy, eggs n ham scrambled, quiche - very creamy. The cook and waiter were friendly, welcomed us and were attentive to all in the room. The place was small and definitely not a fast food chain!!! Highly recommend.

There are plenty of choices for breakfast here on Broadway. Pick Patty's if you like intimate environments, friendly service (get Patty's talking about books), and good food reasonably priced. I had today's special: bacon, spinach, tomato, and cheese omelet. Delicious. AND they offered a biscuit as an option of white, whole wheat, or sourdough bread. Good coffee too! At Patty's you're welcome to stay for awhile. Never rushed. This place is a jewel among the standard touristy fare of Seaside's main shopping drag.

  • Whitney T.

Amazing food for such a good price. I enjoyed a Denver omelet accompanied by their homemade hashbrowns, and my boyfriend enjoyed pancakes and hashbrowns as well. Total was under 20.00. Definitely recommend!!

We chose Patty's over other places in Seaside and are very happy with this choice. Great food, quiet ambiance, overlooks the river though town. Service was excellent and prices VERY reasonable. Should we ever return to Seaside, we will most definitely come back. Note to all is that Patty's is a weekday place only -not open Saturdays or Sunday's.

We shared a breakfast here and we delighted at the portion size and quality of the food. Fresh fruit, quality spinach scramble with bacon. The service was great too, definitely coming back!

I was thrilled to find Patty's this morning at 6 am , while I was searching for the Pig and Pancake cafe. Patty's atmosphere was very comfortable . I sat near a little fountain that made a lovely tinkling sound and the music playing was Norah Jones singing, " Come Away with Me". The service was very good and the food was satisfying. I plan to return tomorrow if I can get up early again.

We read the reviews & thought we should try the breakfast here. The food was real food that tasted great. Try the fresh biscuits, they are awesome. We came in two mornings in a row. This is a great little breakfast spot.

Good food and decor, but really quiet. Felt like a library, but just because it wasn't very busy.

Like Norma's, this is one of those restaurants that looks really "meh" inside, but has good food. You get a nice view of the Necanicum River & you can order specialty omelettes, which are huge. My mom & uncle loved their hash browns. Patty's super nice. My mom chatted with her for while while I looked at the cool ceramic teapot collection while we were waiting for the rest of the party to use the bathroom. This cafe seems super popular with the local elderly. It's near the river boat rentals at Quatat Park & just down the road from all the shops. Not too much of a walk to the beach. We came here on a Wednesday or Thursday. Oddly enough, more than half of the restaurants in the area are closed on these days.

  • Nicole H.

Service got progressively better as our visit ended. I called to find out if they were open because the 1st two places we went were closed. The woman that answered the phone was a little curt and made me feel like it was dumb that I had called. The food was good and fresh coffee. We had corned beef hash and an omelette. The homemade biscuit was fresh but they served it with margarine I much prefer real butter. The server was not really friendly but not particularly rude either. As we went to pay the cook which I'm assuming was the owner was very friendly and genuinely thanked us for our business which took this review from a 3 to a 4 stars. I totally got the home cooked experience that others mention.

My boyfriend and I spent a special weekend in seaside and after spending far to much money on disappointing and sub par food, we found this little gem that we enjoyed immensely. We'll definitely make this a stop on our next trip.

The waffles here are to die for! Mostly only had breakfasts here while on vacation and every breakfast item was superb. Also Patty is an awesome gal.

  • Teri M.

Really delicious and home-made! We loved the location on the river, and had such nice interactions with the owner. Mushroom scramble was awesome, very savory mushrooms, and in a portion which didn't make me feel overstuffed. A simple fruit side was full of perfect pieces of ripe fruit, boy, you don't see that often. Mom loved her hash, made from scratch. Thanks for this great tip, yelpers! Follow the walkway along the edge of the river to get to this lovely little cafe.

  • Kate W.

Delicious homemade food. Never had lunch here, but she does breakfast RIGHT! After days of not-so-great meals on the road, I really appreciated the meal and service here. When I left - I happened to meet a couple who were wandering around looking for the place. Can be a bit tricky to find. It's across the river/bridge on broadway....right across from the Bridge tender building, and kitty-corner from comfort inn. Oh....ladies - stop in at the shop on the corner, can't remember name. AWESOME clothes, nice luggage pieces.

After dining on Patty's homemade hash browns, I may never be able to eat potatoes anywhere else again!!! Truly the most fabulous hash browns ever....didn't even dare ruin them by adding ketchup. We loved Patty's. Arrived on a rainy Tuesday morning, the place was very busy but we got a great table for 2 right by the window looking out at the river. Service was quick with hot coffee much appreciated. Hubby ordered the Denver omelette and I chose a veggie scramble with bacon and homemade biscuit. All of it was hot, well cooked (nothing is worse than when eggs are overdone), moist and delicious. Service was great. our waiter made multiple stops to refill coffee and check if we needed anything else. Great dining experience...don't miss it.

A really good choice for breakfast in Seaside. Good selection and quality in this little cafe. It takes a little while to get your order but worth the wait. Be patient and enjoy.

Thurday, around 11:30 am, just my 2yr old daughter and I for lunch. One of the local places I hadn't tried yet, and I can't believe I waited so long because it was wonderful! They didn't have a dedicated kids menu, but the service for her was amazing. She was given crayons and a color page, and her meal was one of the best we have gotten in seaside, for the best deal. Her half grilled cheese was cooked perfectly. The side of fruit was really varied, fresh looking and tasted great! And to feed her and have her clean the plate for $3.75 was awesome. I got the turkey reuben, and it was fantastic, toasted and juicy with pickles and saurkraut. So tasty. The service was great, the waiter was really attentive and kind, with fast service and he kept my water glass full the entire time. We will definitely be back for breakfast!

  • Ashli J.

Very limited menu, not kid friendly, limited time. We went with 4 adults and 2 kids. Granted it's a small place with only two workers but 6 is not an unreasonable sized group. We were told 6 could not be accommodated. What ever happened to pushing 2 tables together? We had to sit at two tables which wasn't a huge deal. But I did get the feeling that they truly didn't want to accommodate us, either because of the kids or because of our group size. They are only open until 2, we were there at 10 for breakfast. They have some lovely homemade choices such as quiche, blt's, biscuits, etc. however, beware, if you want quiche or blt, you can't get it at 10. Not sure when you can because there is nothing on the menu that clarifies a breakfast item, from a lunch item. However, we did get breakfast and was happy with the food and portions. If you are looking for a very small, very quite, home cooked meal and have lots of time to wait and don't have kids or large parties, this place is a nice alternative for breakfast. PS I was surprised that everything was served with margarin vs. butter.

Horrible horrible experience! Never had an experience like this eating out. Definitely will not be going back. Wanted to find a nice place to take my friend on her birthday, but this definitely wasn't the place. The owner Patty was wicked with a bad attitude towards us from minute we stepped into the door. Should have left then but sat down (had a party of 6) at different tables because there were no tables available that all of us could sit at. We just asked if we could move a table (like many other restaurants would have done) but they did not allow this here. We were able to sit close enough so sat anyway. My friend has Rutt's and needed to get something in her stomach (which helps ward off seizures) so asked nicely if we could get fruit for her as soon as possible and Patty practically threw it at my friends mom giving her a dirty look and told her pretty much we should just leave so that is what we did. As we were walking out Patty said "Be sure to review us on yelp" so that is what I am doing and was going to anyway. Not a way to treat customers. If you don't want to seat a party of 6 to begin with in your restaurant you could have just told us to leave nicely before we sat down. No need for such a nasty attitude.

Nice quiet little spot to grab breakfast- they even made chocolate chip pancakes for us which aren't on the menu...YET! everything was fresh and cooked to order. Skip the chain pancake houses, this place is much better and much less hectic.

  • Hong N.

Great breakfast place. Family owned, great view! I had the Denver omelet which consisted of ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. It came with a side of hash browns and I ordered a side of biscuit and gravy. The omelet was delicious, that gravy was average, and the hash brown was a little soggy. My husband had the corn beef hash with a side of hash brown, eggs and toast. He also enjoyed his dish and agreed the hash browns were a little soft. Still, the service was great, staff was friendly, and the meals were reasonably priced. Definitely would return!

Good breakfast place on the river! Simple, classic breakfast food. The kids had pancakes and loved that is came with two types of syrup (regular and marionberry). We shared the corned beef hash. Yummy! The eggs were poached perfectly. Good coffee and the kids liked their hot chocolate, even though neither of them finished it because it was way too huge! Good food, good service and a quaint local restaurant.

On our travels we always like to go off the beaten path when it comes to dining. We ask locals where they eat at and this place was suggested. Glad it was. It is very unassuming and the food is fantastic! Definitely have breakfast here. One caveat though. If your walking down the street looking for the address, look around the corner, it is easy to walk by and miss it.

  • Sonora G.

The four of us dropped by for breakfast at around ten. You can see the river from almost every table and it feels like a cozy b&b. The food took a little while but it is only patty back there cooking. Great service though, our waiter was very attentive and nice. My omelette was great and came with delicious hash browns and a homemade biscuit. Great place for breakfast/brunch and I'm sure it's just as good for lunch too.

I wish we could have tried the food. But first impressions are everything and today was one of the worst I've ever seen! We were instantly turned away by the creepy guy that I hope wasn't the waiter he couldn't even clear a table off! Then when we were walking out the door he ran after us so we went back in and he said it was going to take him a while to clean off a table looking around we saw a room full of people and only one table with any food in front of them we made the right choice by walking down the street and eating at the pig and pancakes

Was great food and great service. I loved my biscuits and pepper gravy. Hubby loved his omelet with home made hash browns. Our 21mo son has a side of fruit which was really good and fresh. We will go here again on our next trip up the coast!!

This place was a fun, relaxing place to get breakfast. My husband ordered the corn beef hash and said it was the best he had. I ate some of his hashbrowns and they were amazing! I had pancakes and they were nothing special, the Marionberry syrup was a special touch though. The server was friendly. The view was pretty. We will be back!

  • Michele W.

Oh my! WOW! This was by far the best omelet I have had! It was the special of the day - bacon, spinach, tomato, green onion, and cheese. I had it with the fresh fruit and a biscuit. It was perfectly cooked, not greasy at all. The bacon was crispy, veggies fresh, and had just the right amount of cheese. The fruit was super fresh and included perfectly ripe raspberries. Even thought the biscuit was homemade I could only describe it as ok, it was the only thing on my plate I couldn't describe as outstanding. My coffee cup never went dry and the service was good. I will absolutely be back!

Don't believe the few negative reviews, this place is great. Even after I ordered the wrong item, 100% my fault. Patty came out and redid my order to perfection. All four in our party thought the food was great and homemade. My mom even liked the coffee which is a high bar. Patty has some sass and personality, great to find a local place that doesn't feel like a tourist spot.

I have been wanting to try this place for some time now, but we always seem to get distracted! This morning, though we had a plan, but unfortunately my son had a bit of a tummy ache, so we went with some toast and a short walk. In need of a restroom, we saw the Wicker and thought we might peek in, buy some coffee and use the restroom. I happen to know how irritating it is if people just use your restroom without being a customer, so we paid for two coffees and waited 5 minutes for the pot to brew. Meanwhile, my son had some trouble finding the restroom, so returned confused, and we redirected him. The woman in back snapped, "You were right there ...maybe you should take off your sunglasses." Nice. After waiting for 5 terribly uncomfortable minutes, while we clearly angered the cook, we received coffee, for which we paid extra, and apologized for inconveniencing everyone. I won't be returning to try the food, as only certain people are welcomed here. Hope that sarcasm doesn't spoil your appetite, only come by if you intend to buy a full meal, provided you can get past the creepy hospital smell.

Fantastic breakfast food! Don't miss out on the reproduction Maltese Falcon and Humphrey Bogart posters! It has a lovely view of the river.

This place was recommended on Yelp and I am rarely steered in the wrong direction by reviewers. I walked in on a Thursday morning. I stood at the door for a little bit before I walked up to the counter and asked if there was a table available. I was told by the man behind the counter that there are no seats. Okay, I can wait. But NOOOO - There is nowhere to sit and you will be waiting a long time as each table put in their order just before I walked in. The lady in the kitchen (perhaps Patty herself) chimed in and physically counted the orders that were pending and there were 11 of them. Well, thanks people for making me feel welcome and offering the most incredible (wish you could hear the sarcasm) customer service experience. I have never felt so dismissed from a public establishment in my life - or ever for that matter. I promise I will never return for your stellar attitudes and customer service.

Mid-week, mid-morning visit. Pleasant young man waited on me. I ordered biscuits and gravy, and one scrambled egg. Then I sat and listened to Patty complain and criticize "what one scrambled egg looks like". I wonder if she realizes (or cares) that her customers can hear her loud and clear? I also listened to other customers talk about "seceding from the Union", and "reserving the right to throw people in the river". Interesting. As an Oregonian, I figure I'm okay, even if I'm not a local, but I can imagine it would not feel welcoming if someone from, say, New York, overheard it. I did receive my order in a decent amount of time. It was okay. The gravy was too peppery and salty for my taste. The biscuits were fine, nothing to write home about. The egg (presented on a separate plate) was fine. My overall impression of the food is 'meh'. Patty seems abrasive. The young man who waited on me was very pleasant. The prices were moderate. I do stay in Seaside several times a year, but I don't think I'll be going back to Patty's Wicker Cafe. It's just not worth the money, in my opinion.

We were going to go to the Firehouse Grill, but it was closed. What a great thing because we went to Patty's and had a very good experience. The biscuits and baked goodies are made fresh. Not only does the food taste good but it also looks good; plus you're seated right along the Necanicum River.

I can attest, with 100% conviction, that this is the best breakfast to be found in Seaside. I can also attest that while Patty's Wicker Café is under a year old, I've been enjoying various forms of her breakfast offerings now for over 38 years. See, the Patty (yep, the one on the billboard) is also my favorite, greatest, coolest Aunt. She has been filling me full of her amazing breakfast creations now since early childhood. With countless years of service cooking for others both personally and professionally, she is now finally working for herself and doing it just the way she wants...which means it is good. Damn good. And surprisingly really affordable. When you compare her fantastic food to what the Pig & P is shoveling out in an automated assembly line like process, her prices are a steal. Breakfast has always been my favorite meal, which is in large part due to growing up on her scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and hash browns. The café is truly representative of her; the Bogart room, wicker furniture and a desire to be a quiet beach destination where you can relax, have a cup of joe and some fantastic food is representative of what it is like to come down to Seaside for a visit. Am I biased? Yeah. But if I didn't truly believe that she has the best breakfast in town, I wouldn't say it. But she does. So next time you're in town, do yourself a favor and visit Patty's Wicker Café.

Amazing sandwiches at a good price. The place was empty, but a local pointed me to it. I could see how it might be slow service if it was busy. Not geared to large groups or busy tourists.

  • M L.

The waiter was extremely rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. The entire time we were there we were made to feel unwelcome and bothersome. Will definitely not be going back. Not even sure this place deserves the 1 star. The food we ordered was cold when it was brought to us and was mediocre at best.

    (1)

Just okay breakfast items. Portions, price, and quality the same as the nearby bugger chain restaurants. The advantage thought is they weren't as busy. Disadvantage is the smaller selection. They were a little in your face about how local and freshly make everything was but in the end we couldn't tell the difference.

We (4) had a great breakfast: homemade hash, eggs over easy cooked perfectly, biscuits n gravy, eggs n ham scrambled, quiche - very creamy.

Oh my!

Delicious food with reasonable prices! Great view of the river and a great ambiance! The service was a bit slow but over all it was great!

We were going to go to the Firehouse Grill, but it was closed. What a great thing because we went to Patty's and had a very good experience. The biscuits and baked goodies are made fresh. Not only does the food taste good but it also looks good; plus you're seated right along the Necanicum River.

Nice quiet little spot to grab breakfast- they even made chocolate chip pancakes for us which aren't on the menu...YET! everything was fresh and cooked to order. Skip the chain pancake houses, this place is much better and much less hectic.

Went to go get a table. They were full, wouldn't take our name told us they had no idea when a table would be ready. We felt extremely unwelcome.

Sweet place with lots of charm. Warm and welcoming...pretty good food too. If you dig tea, indulge...the tea cozy adds to the relaxing experience.
