Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Although it looks like a fast-food kind of place, the food is definitely high quaility. I had a chicken taco and a pork taco. They were served as soft tacos in corn tortillas. It was freshly made and very good. My friends said their enchiladas and taquitos were also very good. The taquitos were made in a way we'd never seen before. More like fried burritos. The taste was good, but you can end up ordering way more food than you want since they are so big. It's tough to find Mexican food that isn't bland and boring, so Casa Del Sol was a very nice surprise. They do a great job.

I wanted to grab a decent lunch so I used Yelp to see what places looked good and Casa Del Sol came up with some solid reviews. We came a little late in the afternoon so it was a bit dead inside. Anyway, I ordered the Super burrito with carne asada with no onions and tomatoes. Let me tell you. This was the biggest burrito I've ever attempted to eat. I also made the mistake of ordering 4 taquitos thinking I would be able to finish it all. Big mistake, this burrito was an absolute beast! In fact my burrito gave birth three bites into it. It had that much filling that the tortilla couldn't hold all of it's contents! No problem, nothing a spoon and fork couldn't handle. I just didn't have enough belly space for all the greasy goodness. The taquitos were crunchy and tasty. The quality was very good and I was delighted to have been able to give this place a try. If you're in Seaside looking for great quality cheap eats, put Casa Del Sol on the hit list. You're bound to have one hell of a gut busting experience without breaking the bank.

Stopped here on our way through Seaside. We'd planned to come after reading all the Yelp reviews and weren't disappointed -- it's clean, fast service, and delicious food. The salsa bar was fun. This is not a gourmet Mexican restaurant, but it is good value and big portions. Would recommend!

Eat here regularly and will continue to do so. The food is excellent and the service is really great too!! Check it out. You will be glad you did.

Seaside is one of those places that you have to look around a lot to find a good restaurant. This one happens to be easy to find since it is right on the main drag through town. This restaurant is like a taqueria and If you've ever eaten at one in the Hillsboro area this is about the same. They have authentic style pork, all meat burritos, and of course the torta. They also have a salsa bar with marinated carrots and 4 different salsas made on site. The food is good, they give you enough of it, they don't charge you a ton of money, and you get it without waiting forever. What more could you want?

The address on Yelp is incorrect. It is actually located at the corner of Ave N and Roosevelt. Our family of 5 ate here and had a good meal for very little money. My carnitas plate was delicious and too much for me to eat. The chips were freshly fried - yum!

What a deal! After a budget shock at a restaurant in Gearhart we stopped here. Food was great for the money and filling. They even had grilled cheese for my picky eater son! I had the super burrito al pastor and my wife had two carne asada tacos. Delicious, quick, and good salsa.

Thanks, Yelpers! I went here because of the reviews and it was darn good. I had the carne asada with beans & rice and & my companion had a chicken taco salad. A wee bit too much salad dressing, but otherwise one of the best taco salads ever. Yay for good Mexican food at the beach!

I had three tacos for about 4 bucks. Each was excellent. The salsas are good, but kept cold so you can self serve. I liked each salsa better as they warmed up a bit. I tried the Carne Asada , Pastor, and Cabeza Well worth it. They are set up in an old A&W, but who cares, really, the food was great.

Awesome tacos and great service. The food came out so quick.

A five-star review you can trust. This place saved the day after a miserable night out for BBQ. BONUS - It's open til 10pm when everything else down at Seaside seems to close between 4pm and 7pm (unless you're looking for semi-fancy sit-down dinner.) I had their combo burrito one day, and their pork tacos another. I want to go back and eat there everyday.

As my family and I pulled into the parking lot of Casa Del Sol, we were a little intimidated by the run down fast food appearance of the resturaunt. But after reading the other 4 reviews on yelp, we felt confident enough to enter. The menu had a wide variety of dishes to choose from and we decided to order 5 soft tacos, a carnitas meal which came with rice and salad, and a super burrito. We also got two of those Mexican sodas in glass bottles. The resturaunt is pay at the counter so we were immediarely surprised that the bill came to only $24. We waited about 10 minutes for the food to come, but it was totally worth the wait. The soft tacos were great, the carnitas meal was pretty good, but the super burito was truly amazing. For about 6 bucks, they give you a burrito loaded with meat, rice, beans, lettuce, and the works of toppings. Even my father, who lived in San Diego for a couple years and ate some great Mexican food, said the food was exceptionally good. Overview: great authentic food, big portions, cheap, friendly service. The reason why I gave it a 4 star is because the resturaunt is because the resturaunt was pretty much empty and lacked any type of atmosphere tha you would expect from a good resturaunt. Getting takeout here, then picnicin by the beach would probably a good idea.

The best tacos in Oregon. I drove 50 miles out of my way just for this ambrosia. pastor, carnitas, pollo.....all delicious.

Great food, inexpensive, and big portions. Super counter service (gave us an extra kids milk no charge.) Looks fast food but clean, bright and not touristy. Lots of locals. Meat is real and identifiable :) ...my Shrimp fajitas were super. My 5 & 2 yr olds devoured their beef tacos ( served soft) and my husbands nachos were huge with real chunks of chicken.

We went here for dinner solely based on the Yelp reviews. The place looks like a dive on the outside, but since some of the best restaurants can be hidden behind such exteriors, we went anyway. We could not have been more disappointed. 1st - the service was incredibly slow. We had to wait over 30 minutes for food to go. But that included 5 minutes waiting for someone to come to the front counter to take our order. 2nd - my son got the "shredded beef" burrito but it wasn't shredded at all - just cut into small chunks. It was completely unseasoned and loaded with fat and gristle. 3rd - my son specifically said no sour cream but they still added it. 4th - I had the pollo asado and it wasn't even close to what I thought it would be. Three large pieces of chicken still on the bone that I had to shred off myself to be able to eat it in the tortillas that came with it. The chicken skin had seasoning on it but the chicken meat had none. There was an extremely small portion of rice and beans that came with it. 5th - if you go to the linked website, it shows an address in Portland and nothing in Seaside. Overall, it was a huge disappointment.

The spot to be when u want fresh, real Mexican food. I don't eat lingua or cabeza but, anything else I'm down for at this place. Nothing comes too spicy so definitely try some of the hot sauces from the fresh salsa bar. The avocado one is perfect. The menu is totally diverse. The staff is super helpful and can answer any ?'s u have. Breakfast, lunch or dinner; Casa Del Sol has what u want. My fav here is the ceviche (spicy shrimp) tostada. It's the Best I've had anywhere from AZ, CA, OR and WA! Anything u get u'll love tho. There's also all flavors of paletas(ice cream bars) to try for a treat after. Happy Eating!

This place has awesome mexican food! I agree with the previous poster that it fills that void, as I am from Southern Cali and have been trying to find a good little mexican restaurant up here.

I ate at Casa Del Sol 3 times within 36 hours on a recent 2 day vacation in Seaside, OR. All meals were great and satisfying. This place has finally fullfilled my quest to find "San Diego-style" mexican food in the Pacific Northwest. In the 5 years living in Washington State, I have not found good, authentic, casual, and inexpensive Mexican food - which was a main staple of my diet while living in San Diego for 10 years. Do not expect a fancy sit-down, full service restaurant, but you can expect some good food and friendly counter service. You order at the counter and pick it up in a few minutes when your order is done. Their breakfast burrito is a great combo of eggs, cheese, hash browns and bacon or ham - for under $4. Made fresh, it is further enhanced by the salsa bar, featuring three varieties and hot carrots and radishes. In other meals, we tried the Carne Asada, Pastor and Taquitos - which were all pretty good. I want to take another vacation to Seaside to 1) eat at this place again 2) hang out at the beach
