Probably the best sushi in town for the price. The owners are very friendly. Everything is made fresh and has no fishy taste. The spicy mayo is excellent. I love the spicy salmon and tuna. Also the deep fried tofu is great. Try it once and you'll get hooked. Don't be afraid just because it is in the food court of a mall.

I don't know if it was the time of day I was there (11:30am) but I had really wanted some of their eel, and they didn't have it made. Went with the $4.95 5 piece special (a slammin deal), and got the shrimp tempura (not great, weird with carrots), spicy tuna, spicy California roll, spicy salmon (yummm) and smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was a little too dry and boring, but overall for sushi you're getting in a good court and for such a great deal, it's definitely worth it. Also, the sushi rolls were super huge, barely can fit in one bite. Yum.

After yesterdays horrendous trip to Sushi Town in Keizer, I needed to get the horrible taste of bad sushi out of my mouth. Food Court sushi to do that? Why not? Couldn't be any worse. By god it wasn't. It was damn good. After the first bite, I literally had a big smirk on my face that made my fiancee think I was nuts. She thought I was nuts to eat food court sushi in the first place. You can get five big pieces of various rolls for $4.49. The nigiri was a little more, but not by much. This place is run by a what I assume husband and wife time that beam with pride and friendliness cause they obviously care about what they are doing. The fish was very very fresh. I couldn't believe it. The rolls had a little too much rice for my liking, but the flavors were there and the rolls were great. Not the best I have had, but they were damn good. I'd gladly eat here again when we go to the mall and fill myself up for very cheap. Glad I finally ate here and look forward to coming again. I recommend you give it a shot.

Here's my review after a couple visits: Wonderful presentation. Visually appealing. Slightly below average in taste. The rice is a bit dry. Not much flavor. Friendly servers. Not much variety. Hmm, definitely not the best sushi.... disappointing, but quick & convenient if you're craving sushi at the mall.

Fresh, inexpensive, friendly service... I was reluctant to try a sushi place in the food court of a mall, but having an intense craving for sushi, I decided to go for it. I love how you can see the sushi chef making everything right behind the large selection of delectables. Their Miso soup is really good too. 5 pieces for $5 was so reasonable and I got to choose my own pieces too. The rice (which is my favorite part) was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was so nice knowing that this sushi was prepared that morning and hadn't been sitting in a plastic tray for who knows how long. The cashier was very friendly, helpful too. I would definitely recommend this little treasure to anyone who enjoys fresh sushi during their shopping experience or anyone who just needs a little sushi love.

I stopped by Sushi Ya Sushi in Salem Center today for the first time. It certainly won't be my last. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, the variety was good (for a mall kiosk), and the prices were very reasonable. The young woman who served me was cheerful and helpful. If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend Sushi Ya Sushi

I hate malls and try to avoid them at all cost. I love this place though. Lunch special for 4 bucks can't be beat. The fish has always been fresh and the rice is good- never falls apart when dipped. Great value, fast and friendly service.

When I first spotted this place at the mall, I questioned how good a shop at the mall would actually be. I have since had it twice and have not been disapointed. The food is freash and tastes great. The people are also wonderful. The one little thing that marks it down, is that the have a small selection.
