One of the best I've tried in Oregon. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I love the interior! It is very clean. I love supporting family owned business and I will continue to come here. Try the Viking roll, Special cucumber, Shrimp tempura roll, and crunchy Cali. They also have very good miso soup! Love love love. Highly recommended.

I love this place! Fresh sushi that is by far the best around! The service is equally as great! Don is friendly and efficient. I recommend Sushi Town to all my friends and they are satisfied as well. Thank you for being so close to home too! Keizer needs more great restaurants like this.

I've tried the - fried rice - aloha and rainbow rolls - chicken dish (I forgot the name) All were amazing! This place is worth trying!

A very nice little restaurant. They have $4.95 lunch specials. My personal favorite its the $8.95 two combination plate. Today i went with teriyaki steak and salmon. Its served with salad, soup and white rice. the steak was tender and cooked perfectly. . Service is a little slow but beside that the place is clean and food is good.

This review is based solely on the sushi and service. If I dare ever go back, I will try anything other than the sushi and adjust my review accordingly. Went in there today around 5pm to try out the sushi cause everyone on here seems to think it is acceptable. Well, I just so happened to be in when the chef was ordering his fish from his supplier. The sushi chef gets his fish maybe once a week cause I overheard him saying how he has enough salmon to last him till at least next week. Oh god. What did I get myself into. Next, since he is ordering his fish, it takes forever to start getting my sushi made cause he is busy. Once my rolls arrived, I was horrified. The spicy tuna was some off color of tan or cooked and smelled of ammonia. The shrimp tempura roll was soaking wet to the point it was falling apart, and the shrimp was really rubbery as was the seaweed. The deep fried something or other roll was completely soaked in grease leaving it not crispy at all, and the fish eggs on top were piping hot. Odd to say the least. I made it close to half way through before I couldn't eat anymore. I'd rather go get sushi at 7-11 than this place. Also, the service was nonexistent due to the lady only coming over to ask what I wanted to drink and that was it. The sushi chef brought my sushi, and then no one ever came back. Had to take my ticket up to the front to pay for my food. Doubt I'll ever step foot in this place not only due to realizing how little this guy gets fresh fish in, but the overall quality of what I ate today. Glad everyone else though loves the place. Kudos to you!

I've been here quite a few times and it is always a nice relaxing place to eat. I particularly like the sushi here, as it is very expertly prepared and pretty good quality. Ask for the white tuna. It is awesome.

One of my favorite places to eat- Ever We eat here at least twice a month, sometimes twice a week. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautiful. The sushi is the best in the Salem-Keizer area- I've tried them all, but come back here every time if Sushi's my craving. My mom hates seafood and is able to find quite a few other choices on the menu that she enjoys. Prices are reasonable, lunch specials especially. They always remember our names and ask my son about school, etc. I've turned quite a few of my friends onto Teriyaki Town and often enjoy "sushi dates" now because they all love this place too! Also of note- we love bulgogi and other korean foods, and this is the only place I've seen it served closer than Beaverton. Their food is much more Korean/Japanese style, more healthful and flavorful than the "Chinese Food" you get at the mall and nearby restaurants. Definitely take a trip down, you won't be disappointed.

Pretty darn good sushi, especially for Salem. The people who run it appear to be a married couple, and they're really nice. They have a lot of choices on their menu, and it's a great place for lunch because they have lunch specials. Everytime I have to go to Salem for a meeting, I try to eat lunch here because it is so tasty, healthy, and reasonably priced.

Good prices and pleasant service. The food was slightly above average. The fish on the nigiri looked a little tired and dried out, which affected the flavor, but it was still within the range of acceptability. The rainbow roll was fine, not great, but adequate. The price, however was outstanding. The seaweed salad was a paltry portion made to look bigger by being laid on a layer of thickly cut cucumbers. Look, I'm not trying to be a hard-ass, but the food here is just ok. The high number of Yelpers giving it higher than 3 stars tells me one of the following: 1. Yelpers in Salem are very kind and round up? 2. Perhaps this is kick ass sushi if it's based on other places nearby (relative awesomeness)? 3. Or they were just having a poor fish quality day that day? I'd visit again, but I wouldn't pine away to do so...

I went here on my lunch break because I heard that it was a good place to get sushi. First of all, it's called Teriyaki Town (not Sushi Town). That makes me wonder.... Did they have to change their name for some reason? At first look, the place looked sketchy to me. It looked kind of old and uninviting. I went in and was equally disappointed with the interior. It was kind of dark and cold looking- again just a little uninviting. I was the only one there. The biggest peeve was the weird smell. It's hard to describe, but it was more than just cleaning supplies and food. It smelled stale and old. I guess that should have been my warning sign. I plugged along thinking that since the reviews are decent and someone recommended it to me, I owe them to try it out on my own. However, it seemed too risky to try anything raw. So, I had the California Roll (crab meat) and the Philly Roll (smoked salmon). I've tried these before in different places- or similar items. This place was a let down. The rice was stale, the seaweed was stale, and the overall taste was bland. Not much flavor. I had to add lots of wasabi or soy sauce to get at least some worth out of the rolls. I know people have differing tastes, so who knows... Maybe you'll like it. Also, I only tried the sushi, so I have no comment about the other dishes All I know, I won't be returning- even though it's close to work. I'll stick to Sushi Kyo. It hasn't let me down yet. I think they have ruined all other sushi places for me. :) I have higher expectations for freshness and flavor because of them. Try it for yourself if you are unsure. But then... don't say we didn't warn you. :)

We recently moved from San Francisco Bay Area where 5 star sushi can be found on almost every corner. Needless to say that here in Oregon any type of ethnic food is scarce and great ethnic food is non existent. With that said after trying 4 other sushi places we finally found one that makes the grade. Sushi Town is a small family establishment that is the real deal. The restaurant is nicely decorated, looks and smells clean, and the staff is very friendly. The fish is as fresh as you could ask for and the portions are generous. They carry the standards such as rainbow roll, modified California rolls, etc plus a few nice surprises such as their Hawaiin roll. By no means am I saying this is the best sushi I have ever had but if you are in Salem it is a solid eating experience

I love sushi.... Sushi Town is without a doubt the best sushi in Salem/Keizer. Of note this evening, the unagi was the best I've had. My wife loved the Oregon roll. Honestly, the atmosphere was perfect. If you want sushi, give this place your business. I honestly don't think you will be disappointed.

For sure the best sushi in salem. Can't compare to some in san diego but it is really good and good price. The famil that owns it is very nice. I recommond the crunchy cali, and the las vegas. Any others r great too. The sauce they put on top is soooo good!!

Decent sushi and really good prices. You can't beat a $2.50 Cucumber Roll. Service is on the slow side.
