Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Peter B.
Pietros! What happened to this place!!!! My God!! There was a time and a place when Pietro's was actually a real Pizza Parlor and a darn good one at that!! Pietro's has become nothing more than a glorified if not even MORE than an unorganized "Chuck E Cheese".Yes, things change. I have never seen any place take a 180 and then another 180 than Pietro's!!!!Arcade? pizza? Disgusting pizza? Or Whatever it's "trying" to be! Very few people remember or give a darn that this place used to be a great family restaurant! And had SEVERAl locations all over the Northwest! I can see downsizing in favor of quality, but that was not the case here, I know that younger people or newcomers wouldn't know the difference. But I would hope they would be able to distinguish between okay pizza, and down right terrible and flavorless pizza. And older, long time customers either can't remember what it once was, or have lost all ability to taste anything!! Pietro's Pizza is a disaster! And if you are a fan of another well known Salem pizza chain, it's no accident as to how they got their great taste !! The other chain (that has two locations in Salem) Is what Pietro's once was. The owner used to be the manager of Pietro's in its hey day. The only thing that hasn't changed is it's name. Just horrible tasting food. I can't speak for the Hood River location, but both the Salem and Milwaukie locations have more than lost their way. Beyond repair!! Anyone who hasn't been to Oregon in years and expects and remembers Pietro's the way it was, will be very disappointed. Shame on them for letting this happen! Don't waste a cent on this major "Cluster ****!!!! Update!!!! Currently at a birthday party at the Hawthorne location. Reservations were made Wednesday for the party room for a cranky one year old Saturday. The employee stated "Our bad, someone wrote it down wrong". And placed 25 plus people in various booths scattered around the restaurant, not even together! No apology and no discount offered! Nothing! If I would have been the one making the reservation ( I wouldn't have a one year olds birthday part in public anyway). But, let's just say... I would have told them to forget and would have bolted! I can't stress enough to anyone reading this, avoid this dump like the plague!!!!! The employees are incredibly rude as well! And restrooms are extremely unsanitary. The self serve coke machine is filthy. And you can guess how I feel about salad bars. Dipping tongs onto a used plate by a good number of the restaurants guests. Pietro's seem to be leaning in favor of competing directly with their neighbor "Arcade", "Wunderland"! Which by the way, is a REAL arcade and not trying to be a restaurant. It's pretty obvious which path Pietro's went down. The arcade business over food!!! and they can't even run an arcade!!!! Go to "The other small pizza chain" to see the ghost of what "Pietro's" used to be. I think you know what that other chain is too! By the way if you decide on the other chain. Probably not a good idea to hold a child's first birthday party there. And the south salem one by the Liquor store is the best one. Grab a bottle while your at it!
