had a pastrami sandwich on marbled rye. The pastrami is cured and smoked on premise week old school way. very lean and flavorful. And for an extra $5 get the double meat. you won't be disappointed

Definitely a life saving spot to have in a business complex especially since there is nothing really around their area. Every wedge I've gotten here has been great quality and definitely fresh. I would personally recommend the #3 Uccello Cheese - Sliced house roasted turkey and cheese ( I get provolone) with lettuce, tomato and mayo and i add their fresh basil! Its ridiculously awesome! Another awesome feature is the text to ordering. I can hit them up and let them know when i want my sandwich all from my desk. If you haven't been here yet give it a shot.

This is a small little NY style deli in the middle of a business park. It's out of the way but so worth it. The menu is simple and two boards of good choices. My first visit made it difficult to decide and settled on the number 7. A roast beef sandwich with Swiss, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and a horseradish parsley mayo on marbled rye. A couple minutes later our sandwiches were ready and wrapped in paper with a pickle spear. (On a side note that's the correct way to serve a deli sandwich, a lot of "deli" places serve sandwiches and want to charge extra for a pickle spear if they even have them at all.) The roast beef tasted good, I would have preferred more red in the meat but I recognize that's difficult to get anymore. The sandwich as a whole was really good and was surprised at just how well the addition of a cucumber and the horseradish parsley mayo made it taste. The only thing I was confused about was on the menu the term "wedge", it's used for a sub roll. Growing up on the east coast I never heard it called that until this visit. I know the term hoagie, sub, submarine and grinder but hey learn something new every day. If your looking for a good sandwich between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday thru Friday this is the place.

Right now, it's good. I can see it being great when they work out their kinks. They don't have a solid order-make sandwich-ring up customer system down yet. Right now they've got two people bumping into each other because they're switching jobs constantly instead of just being responsible for one task. They've got to do something about how they take orders, too, because currently they're writing orders on big sheets of butcher paper that the sandwiches will later be wrapped in. Unfortunately that isn't a 'system' and they just don't have the counter space for all these sheets of paper. I watched the employee shuffle and juggle the sheets until they finally landed on top of the soup kettles. They also weren't exactly ready to go at 11:30 this morning, either. I had to wait for them to make coleslaw for my sandwich, and wait for them to slice swiss and cheddar. These things should be done prior to opening. All in all I waited about 20 minutes for my two sandwiches--and that's a bit too long. All slowness aside, the sandwich was good. The "wedge" was a bit tough, sloppy, and dry, but really it was good. I had the Dillion (#18) and (I can't believe I'm saying this) I've never thought of putting coleslaw and Russian dressing on a ham sandwich. It works really, really well. I just wish the bread wasn't so damn tough. The dressing was applied to the coleslaw that was in the middle of the sandwich, so no moisture reached the bread. Arg. I'll wait a few weeks before I venture in again. I've always hated that Salem didn't have any really good sandwich places, so here's to hoping they become amazing.

Every great city in America has that one great establishment that doesn't have to glam up, or spend a fortune on electronic devices or even high tech gadgets - to be a great foodie establishment you just need a few things, great food is one of them ... this place has GREAT food! Amazing Prices.. and friendly staff! (I will get to this a bit later down the review) So I have been wanting to try this place out for a while, being raised and lived in Houston for many years, we have quite a few Italian Deli's in the city, and I have spent many lunch hours at them - so when I heard that Salem got a Deli, I was very intrigued. So today I just happened to be in the neighborhood and I threw caution to the wind, and I decided to pull in for lunch. It was a bid stormy out and the sun was barely breaking through - this could have been a start to an amazing horror movie but it wasn't I had a wedge - (it's like a sub for those who have not been there) with Blue Cheese, Avocado (very fresh!), Bacon (yes!! Bacon! a not cheap stuff either the bacon was amazing!) and to be honest I have forgotten what else was on the sub cause bacon, blue cheese and bacon and great bread - I was blown away! Okay as I was leaving I noticed they had cannoli, be it I am a sucker for something sweet - I had to check them out (I am allergic to nuts) so I usually have to ask a restaurant a slew of questions about there sweet-treats - he didn't have any canoli that didn't have pistachios dipped on them - so the they went into the back and got me a day old one and gave it to me! It was great even for being a day old! I am defiantly going to return!

Visiting Salem from Chicago for work. Looking for somewhere "local" for lunch and discovered Cozzies NY Deli. Sort of an out of the way location but my Reuben was excellent! I'll be back.

Really good subs, definitely NY style, and you get a lot for the price. I had the Gabagool and my partner had the chicken cutlet. Good quality meats, bread, and sauce. We went around 1PM on a Monday, only a couple of other people there; took maybe 5-10 minutes for our order to be ready. Fountain drinks are free. Friendly staff although the place itself is pretty austere and in the middle of an office park not really near anything. But parking is easy and it's only a few minutes drive from downtown.

Everything here had been delicious and the help are pretty awesome. Favorites include anything with horseradish sauce and garlic aioli. The price is very high. Especially when looking at what is given for that price. Would prefer to pay a little less sometimes, or have a bit more additional add-ons that don't add two dollars to the total.

Amazing sandwich, amazing price and superior food quality. Two friends and myself attended for lunch today and it was the best pick of the month. We pulled into to a long line (in my opinion that is a good sign) they have only been open for a few days and are dialing in the process. A few moments in line and a friendly conversation with the owner and I was served one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. Of course all three of us had to try each sandwich and they all were amazing. Quality meat, cheese and veggies and the wedge to die for. Thank you guys for a great meal!!!!!

This is my revised review. I went back and tried the Number 9 turkey. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! Service was great, too!

By far the best place in the mid valley to get deli sandwiches. Monday through Friday forget about anyplace else. I could give detailed information about their sandwiches but nobody likes to read a super long review just to find out they need to go there. YOU NEED TO GO HERE!!!! Just start trying sandwiches, they are all pretty good. Highlights, gabagol, meatball, chicken cutlet, and pastrami. Don't forget the canoli, homemade by the owners wife. Free coke as well.

Absolutely the best deli...The owner caters to a specific clientele in the Fairview Industrial drive area. Lot's of state agencies and corporate offices with no real options for quick quality food . He's only open Monday thru Friday 10-4 so you need to plan ahead. He roasts many of his deli meats, and only uses bread that is no more than two days old. The sandwiches aren't cheap (on average about $8.50) but they are a good two meals. :Loaded with premium meats and cheeses they are absolutely delicious.

Service is pretty fast. Sandwich was huge. Only complaint, not enough kraut...but I like lots so I probably should have requested extra. Definitely will be back.

Had the Reuben, it was standard, nothing special. Meat is quality though, I just wasn't blown away by the overall sandwich. I would have felt better if it was a couple bucks cheaper (price was 10.50).
