How can this place even call itself a bbq??? There was absolutely no smoke or smell of bbq anywhere. They didn't have half the items on their menu and the items they did have were not as advertised. I ordered the chicken basket, expecting a couple pieces of bbq, bone in chicken. Instead I got this nasty boneless thigh meat smothered in bbq sauce that was in no way bbq'ed. In fact, I think it was boiled or steamed. Gross!! My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and it was dry and flavorless. Once again, not bbq'ed. I don't know how they cook their food, but it's NOT bbq. Maybe I'll try taco Tuesday once just to see if those are good, but so far this place is a total flop.

The chicken lunch was very good. Salad with ranch dressing and green beans sides were nice compliments. Service was wonderful. BBQ sauce was sweet, not spicy. Next time we should ask it there is a spicier option. Lunch portions were generous. Drive through with a few outdoor tables for eating on site.

Sorry, this isn't BBQ unless you think drowning meat in jarred BBQ sauce counts.

I ended up eating here the four nights I was in Roseburg (shhhh... don't tell my Cardiologist) Monday night I went back and had the Loaded Baked Potato, I didn't think potatoes could ever be that big but it was a huge potato loaded with pulled pork or tri-tip, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, fresh shredded cheese, sour creme, and green onions. Taco Tuesdays were unbelievable, homemade corn tortilla stuffed with pulled pork, coleslaw, salsa, sour creme, fresh cilantro, and topped with their house BBQ sauce. Wednesday before I left town I had to stop in from their BBQ oysters, soft, garlicky tender oysters on the half shell perfectly BBQ. I also brought home a rack of BBQ Beef ribs, BF said they had great flavor. I am happy to hear they are opening another location in the Grants Pass area in February.

food is standard good BBQ. very limited menu, no fries, people and service are great but no waiter service. Garden Valley location is a drive up booth with some picnic tables out front, limited parking. Diamond lake Blvd location is a gas station convenience store with indoor seating and drive thru, lots of parking.

good pulled pork and chicken sandwhich. The small is on a LARGE hamburger bun. and only $3. on Sunday. great deal!

We love to throw down a great smoky BBQ on the Traeger, so we know good meat. On our way down south today, we were searching for a burger spot to grab and growl, but instead found this little joint. Since my guy loves BBQ, we swung in. A quick order of a Brisket Sammy w BBQ (of course) beans and a corny muffin for him/ the $5 Pork Sundae for me (a layered concoction of mashers, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, green beans topped w a cherry tom). Since I wasn't in the mood for pork, I asked to sub chicken, delete the BBQ sauce and add the gravy on the side. Gravy on the side bcuz I am that picky!!! I feel guilty returning food served under a cloak of bad gravy and I will return it! I was raised on the fabulous roux my momma made and if u can't serve up a good gravy, don't bother, just throw a pad of butter on top and ring the dinner bell! How did it taste? Delicious! Brisket was tender w a crispness on the edges that we just loved. The BBQ sauce is very mild (perfect for the guy) and flavorful. Next time we drop by (and we certainly will) I will ask to try a spicier sauce myself. The taters are creamy and buttery. YUM!!! The gravy???? Off the hook!!! My only complaint was that I wished I'd had more in my little to-go cuppie. On to the corn muffin. I do not care for warmed or steamed bread, as we like crust w a crunch. But, being that this is a drive-thru food cart, all is forgiven. All 5 stars earned and given. Service included!!!

the beans were good, as was the 50/50 sandwich. But the coleslaw was just weird. A different recipe than i've ever tried or would try again.

Interesting place. It ain't Leon's World's Finest In & Out in Galveston. Heck, it ain't even Queen's in Galveston. But it's not bad for Roseburg. What the heck ... give it a spin.

Friendly fast service, all fresh and delicious sides, and good BBQ at an inexpensive price. The business is drive thru only. Definitely will return.

I have worked in BBQ before as a chef and this place does not disappoint. The service was fast and friendly. Very great especially for a family run restaurant. 5/5 The decor is a non- issue. They keep their area very well maintained. 5/5 The food has always been good. Every time. I do have a few issues: canned green beans (really?), boxed salad mix (c'mon!) also their beans seem to come out of a can and get doctored up a bit that just seems wrong. However; the meat is well prepared and they always provide a full serving. 3.5/5

Great food!!great people!!some honest food served with a smile come down to fridays and get some killer grub to stick to your ribs.speaking of ribs they make those too!!
(5)Valerie S.
Fast, good, friendly service. Ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich and the pulled pork sundae. Both items were extremely hot and delicious! Will definitely make a stop by here on our next trip south.

Fast friendly service and great pulled pork sandwiches! There's no indoor seating, only picnic tables outside. But that was just fine since Rose and I were planning a picnic lunch in the park anyway. This fit our needs perfectly! We'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great casual lunch or dinner! Check out our blog "Rose's Cafe" at: rosescafe1.blogspot.com

Amazing service! The tri tip tasted a little greasy but everything else is amazing! We enjoyed the Hot Pork Sunday! It was fun and tasty! I would highly recommend the coleslaw and grilled onions they offer on their sandwiches at no additional charge. Also the brownies where very good!

Stopped here while driving through and would absolutely recommend this establishment. The food was fantastic, the food came quick and the workers were extremely friendly.

Taco Tuesday is a nice change of pace. I really liked them. They are not your typical taco though. Try'm out and see. Pretty good in my opinion :)
(3)Claire D.
People are nice and service was good but their chicken wrap was terrible. All thigh meat and fatty, bland, nothing BBQ about it. I had a combo of sides since I did not want meat - BBQ sides can be awesome but everything was just average. Not terrible but won't be back. I hate to gibe bad reviews, maybe their other options are better?

Decent barbecue. Drive through, not a sit down place, but there are a few tables outside if you felt brave. Got the #1 box, which was a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides. I got cornbread and coleslaw. The pork came on a jumbo hot dog bun, I decided just to eat the meat instead. Pork was nothing special, and the sauce was run of the mill too. However, the box was a great amount of food for dinner for $7.99. Cornbread muffin as good, not too sweet. I adore cornbread in any form. Coleslaw was unlike anything I've had, it seemed like everything had been dragged through some mayo. Not bad, necessarily, but different.

Amazing Pulled Pork Sandwich. Delicious, fresh Chicken Wrap. Cornbread Muffins are a must. And Sweet Tea to seal the deal. I'm wouldn't call myself a big BBQ fan but I might be now.
(5)Kory T.
The service was good, the food was very good. I thought the pulled pork sunday was a great gimmick but it also tasted great. The tri tip sandwich was tender and had a litle kick to it. Overall I wish we had something like this back home.

Easy and great service!

I'm disappointed with only a few things with this restaurant. 1. Their website shows two different closing times and neither were correct, however the one on yelp was. 2. We will leave town before Friday therefore unable to try their BBQ oysters which are smoked first then BBQ'ed in butter yummm. 3. The pulled pork needed a little bit more smoke flavor but it was good not super good. For the money this place cannot be beat though seriously I ordered 2 boxes of food that filled me and my wife up and was cheaper than going to Mcd's It's kinda like those old Taco stands in L.A. you order at a counter that is outside the building and they offer some seating outside but really you should take it with you.

The service was better than a 3, but the food lacked a rich flavor. The pulled pork tasted like it had been cooked in a slow-cooker, not an actual bbq. The bbq sauce was good, but I prefer more zing to it. The coleslaw was good, but it also lacked a creaminess that I expect with a mayo based slaw. It is definitely worth a stop, but don't expect traditional bbq.

While maybe not in the ranks of a "true" southern BBQ joint one would find in the south, this place is as close as we really get there in the PNW. Service is good, food is consistently good as well. It would take very little to make it into a 5 star review.
(4)Michael S.
I might consider this place again if I want another sandwich made of nothing but BBQ sauce. But even their sauce sucked.

Fate and a broken timing belt lead me to Roseburg. My distaste for fast food chains lead me to Smokin' Friday. All it took was a sign by the road that mentioned $3 pulled pork sandwiches. $3!! I ordered the small pulled pork sandwich w/ cole slaw, a side of baked beans, a corn bread muffin, and a glass of iced tea. Total: $6!! Sure, I wouldn't say that this was the greatest pork experience that I've ever had in my life, BUT this may have been the best meal that I've ever found in the States for $6. The staff was perfectly friendly and charming. I was told that I'd love my food and I did. Meanwhile, while I wait for my car to be finished, I can sit and write my review at the nearby Taco Bell and be glad that I didn't spend my $6 here, for an order of diarrhea.

A quick stop off of I5. The kids wanted KFC, but this was way better. The BBQ was fantastic! Prices are low. The service was great. About 5 minutes into our meal, our server brought over fresh brownie. No charge and she wouldn't even accept a tip.

They brought their truck to our daughters outdoor wedding in August. It was amazing and the guests loved it. It helped make the event! I would do it again in a minute.

Taco Tuesday is my favorite with the awesome pulled pork tacos with handmade tortillas. I have been know to stay in town an extra day to hit this special. Second favorite is the Beef Brisket sandwich. Another special that I think is served on Thursdays. Great flavor and always prepared perfectly. You cannot go wrong with the rest of the menu. What sets this place apart is the service! Kathy and the gang always go out of their way to treat you like family. Try Smokin Friday out, you won't be disappointed!

Great Drive Through BBQ...... I'm a KCBS Certified BBQ Judge and this isn't competition BBQ but it's Good, Fast, and the Service is Friendly. Brisket is hard to do right, theirs was wonderful, as was the pulled pork. I got the lunch box of each on alternating days and was very appreciative of both for well less than 10 bucks. High recommend for good solid BBQ that's fast and friendly.

I'm not really a BBQ guy. However, everyone raves about this place and I get oysters on as many Fridays as I can. I also hit as many Tuesdays as I can for their amazing pulled pork tacos, complete with homemade tortillas. And cilantro. It's the best BBQ in town. Their service is very good; they care about their customers. Oysters. Oysters.

Great BBQ - very good prices. I went with the 50/50 sandwich. Half pulled pork and half brisket. Came with two sides - I choose salad and seasoned green beans. Had this for lunch and should have split it. I am not small eater but it was just a lot of food.

You will never go wrong when you order the Daily face book special. Best lunch bargain in Roseburg and just $3-5 .
(5)Sabrina S.
Loved the convenient drive thru and the food was delicious. Had the Tri-tip sandwhich lunch box!!! A nice change to all the the other drive thru's in town!
(4)Deb F.
This is a cool little drive through spot with limited outdoor seating. Friendly service from seemingly happy employees. Try them on "Taco Tuesday" when you can get their unique and tasty version of a taco for two bucks: pulled pork, slaw, salsa, cilantro and sour cream.
