Stopped in with a workmate after a remote on our way back to Eugene... around 3:30 in the afternoon. I would consider this place a proper pub in the classic English style. Great ambiance with open-truss ceiling, ornate brass tap-towers, 16 Oregon craft brews on tap and an Oregon cider (2 Towns) too boot! Both our bartender and server were quick, attentive and friendly! The bacon cheeseburger was OUTSTANDING! They have proper malt vinegar for the chips and were generous with BBQ sauce for the burgers! Couldn't ask for better! I don't get to Roseburg often, but when I do, this is the place I'll be coming to! To the needy butt-holes posting their critical vitriol... let me know when you open your pub. I'll be happy to come by and offer some "constructive criticisms." ;)

Nice atmosphere friendly service good prices, but the food leaves so much to be desired. Some of the most bland food I've ever tasted. Stop in for a beer but stop there.

The other dood said it was Cheers in real life. Totally spot on. Casey and Jennifer knew our names the second time we were there. The entire staff are awesome and are pouring their hearts into making this a great place to be. The Scotch Egg is explosive savory. If you ask for the spicy burger STUPID HOT, they will do it. No really, it's pretty goddam stupid hot. Your friends and Ashley and Sarah and cruel, evil chef who made it, will all point and laugh as you sweat and pound on the table, and guzzle down beers to make the burning stop (but beer doesn't help, it's just an excuse to guzzle). The plate O'bacon... wow.. It's a plate of candied bacon served with tomato jelly. We couldn't finish it, but we stole the idea off the menu, took the left overs home and put them into grilled cheeses the next day. They even gave us extra tomato jelly to take with it. One of our faves making this crazy assed town an awesome place to live!

My boyfriend and I went to O'toole's on a whim while driving to the coast. The town leaves a lot to be desired, but we were starving so we went with the first review on yelp. Our server suggested great local microbrews and even better dishes made with local ingredients. He reviewed our plans for the coast with us and added a few spots we have never heard of. We are just finishing our roadtrip and every place he told us to go was amazing. This was one sunny spot is an otherwise cloudy, dismal town.

The chicken sandwich was amazing. They have great beers on tap. And O'Toole's is run by a super awesome husband and wife. Thanks for the great experience for our fist night in Roseburg. Your business will flourish with the wonderful food, beers, and customer service the two of you offer.

Have eaten here 5 times, with wife, with work friends and with out of town company. No disappointments. Did actually get an order of Tex-Mex egg rolls by mistake and it was the tastiest mistake ever. Scotch Egg is great, burgers have all been good. They can count on this return customer.

Love this place! The food is unique and delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the jalepeno poppers but the bacon grilled cheese is amazing. Good service and friendly people. Beer selection is nice also. The sampler is fun!

LOVE the beer choices and would like to give a full 5 star rating but........... After about 3 visits, I have to grade it a 4 as some of the food is a bit inconsistent. The salads have been fine, my wife and others have had good burgers but felt the fries were not up to par. It just seems the overall quality of the food is a little hit or miss at times. I still will return and it has NOT turned me off of a very cool vintage vibe.

I really want to like this place. Roseburg needs a palatable pub unfortunately this is not it. The brews are good (probably because they are brewed somewhere else) but the poor food is overshadowed by their even worse service. My wife and I selected O'Tooles as a date night location and walk in with hopes that our last experience was a one time occurrence. Sit down and after a few minutes are given a chance to order. In one shot we select our drinks, app, and meal (the nights special x 2) The beer and water show up in a couple minutes...then the clock starts ticking. After 45 minutes our waitress asks "Can I get you something?" umm...we did have an app and a couple meals coming....15 minutes later the app shows up (lackluster would be too much praise) . 20 minutes after the greasy appetizer, we ask "If the specials are being made, can we get them to go". We get an apology; the meals boxed; and charged more than we should have been. The waitress did the right thing and slipped us the money back as the "manager" tried really hard not to make eye contact. The sign at the door says something like "After one time here you are no longer a stranger" I have to disagree. It takes two times and we will forever be a stranger Mr. O'Tooles and his bumbling staff.

This is just what Roseburg needed! A big variety of Oregon micro brews, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, and good food. The O'Toole's are wonderful people and their pub is a great choice for dinner or just a night out for drinks with friends.

Good beer, menu and service. Very cute inside. I have been in there for lunch and dinner enjoyed both. I regularly recommend to out of town guests.
(5)Abby Q.
Horrible service, horrible food, and would never go back there. Super disappointed, because they do have a great beer selection.
(1)Ryan H.
Sooooo nice to have this place in Roseburg! Excellent beers on tap, and there is a skinny little room downstairs for playing darts, which is cool. I give them a 5 because I've only had positive experiences there myself, but I have heard mixed things about the food quality. It can be hit or miss. However, everyone seems to love the scotch egg. If you sit at the table right next to the door, it can be a bit drafty.
(5)Sara H.
Really great for and atmosphere, its our new go-to. Tuesday nights kids eat free and we love the selection of beers on tap. Service has always been great, we love it.
(5)Angela W.
Stopped in on a drive by and found this little jewel by accident. The bangers and mash were excellent, and to make things even more amazing they cut the portion size in half along with the price to match grandpa's senior, appetite. Highly recommended for great food, fun ambiance and amazing service.

So - I have heard fantastic thing about this little pub in Roseburg and friend and co-workers have had excellent experiences. All have warned it is popular and there may be a wait. Came on a Tuesday. Kids eat free that day. MIstake for me - I'm not a kid. They happened to be having a kids b-day party this particular Tuesday. In the bar. She was turning 8. It was NOT great. There were no tables, so out option was to put our names in and wait at the bar - it is a belly up to the bar kind of bar - no seats, just stand. The kids were DIRECTLY behind us - about a dozen of them. The adults were not with them. The bartender (owner maybe) hooked us up with some beer samples so we could make our decision, then served us our pints. He apologized for the wait and the kids party. The kids were running BEHIND the bar too. He offered us a free pint of bacon. I don't eat pork - so no thanks. We waited about 30 minutes - just hanging in the bar with the shortys. When we were finally seated, I ordered the caprese salad. It had dried basil and was super salted. I had one pint of cider and they charged me for two - had to get the bill adjusted. The atmosphere is pretty cool. Fixed up older Roseburg building. I think this might be a better experience on a non-kid party night. The staff were very friendly, but everyone seemed a bit distracted with the b-day party. An off night I hope. I would give them another try just because they were so nice.

Terrible service.....err complete lack of service more like it. Came in with a group of 7 adults and one toddler. Server dropped off menus and never returned to our table to even offer drinks or take our orders. Watched other tables served who arrived after us. Following 20 minutes of waiting 2 party members informed the bar that we were waiting for service and ordered drinks, then after 30 minutes we just left from lack of service.

Started out GREAT then turned South quickly. Based on the Yelp reviews, this seemed like a sure bet that it would be fabulous. We were seated quickly and sampled some great beer and cider. Our waitress was fantastic (wish I had her name, she was the only positive part of the visit 3/28/2015 at 2:15 pm). We ordered and were excited for our meal. The table next to us, who arrived after us, were served before us. We hoped we would be next, but we waited 10 more minutes. When our food arrived, everything was overcooked: tater tots were like biting on a jolly rancher, burgers were dry, grilled cheese was overcooked on one side, and my veggie burger was hard as a rock. My husband settled for his burger, I didn't mention the tater tots, but I couldn't eat my veggie burger. We had since been assigned a new waitress, Jen. Inattentive and was more concerned with the bar customers (no, it wasn't slammed). I walk up to the bar and tell her the situation with my veggie burger. She was bothered by my request and did not offer an apology. Please note I DO NOT like to complain at restaurants unless very necessary. My new burger came, cooked just fine. Again, no apology from Jen and she didn't take the crappy burger away. She never came to check on us when we needed more water. We had to go to the bar and pay. My burger was still charged for. My hunch is the cook got distracted. That being said, you still provide customer service. I am confident if our original waitress had not left, we would've had better service. We were on a road trip and went out of our way to visit this restaurant; we won't be back.

O'Toole's Pub in downtown Roseburg occupies a large space in an old storefront building. It's full of character, with polished wood floors, an old oak bar and exposed beams in the ceiling. Curious artifacts and antiques are randomly displayed. They have a large selection of local micro brews on tap and a list of good local wines. The food is standard pub fare, from burgers and sandwiches to fish & chips to traditional Irish dishes. They regularly have live music and other events. We found the staff to be friendly and very accommodating. The atmosphere is quite casual, and with the live acoustic music, we had an altogether pleasing evening. See more stuff like this at "Rose's Cafe": rosescafe1.blogspot.com

This place rocks...wonderfully run...with smiles and kindness....wonderful selection of beers and food. I'd definitely go back and encourage anyone else to do the same...

The bitch that owns the place does not know the difference between cheddar and jack cheese likes to be little customers awful food and very rude service if you like getting screwed go there and eat if you like good food don't go there.

I love it here! Have a pint of candied bacon. Enjoy local wines and great Oregon beer. The atmosphere is very laid back and fun.

This is a great spot to stop and relax, great food and not your normal pub fair- wide selection of craft beers and a decent selection of hard ciders. Cute atmosphere and kid friendly.

This is one of the first restaurants my boyfriend and I visited in the Roseburg area, and we loved it. They had a great draft beer selection, and the food was excellent. My boyfriend had the fish tacos (a special that day) and I had a veggie burger. Loved all the historical decor and our big wooden booth. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We'll be back again!

One bad experience isn't enough to rate one of the best locally owned eateries so badly. Good food and beer. That is all.
(4)Jesse F.
A co-worker took me here when I first landed a new job in the area. Some good ales on tap and a damn good burger selection. Got the lager on tap and it definitely compares to the many I had in Germany and Austria a couple of months ago. ALL the burgers are amazing as well! Friendly staff and decent prices. This place is hands down a favorite of mine in Roseburg.

This is our goto Pub, the friendliest staff and the atmosphere is always inviting. The chef is accommodating and willing to whip up what ever your heart desires. If you are looking for a place to call your own, where everyone knows your name, O'Tooles is the place to go.

This Pub is now a year old and is going strong. Great food great service and a fun place to enjoy yourself. A fine collection of micro brews and ciders. A nice selection of wines. The owners take an active role in restaurant operation and are always m\aaking sure service is good and the food gets out in a timely manner. The wait staff provides excellent service and are friendly and concerned about their customers. The chef is incredible and is always coming up with specials to add to the already delicious menu. I cannot say enough good things about this pub. I wish them many more years of continued success!
(5)Kevin M.
Excellent music, good food, local vibe. Downstairs they have darts. Good selection of beers. I had the chicken sandwich and fries which was excellent. Both servers were very attentive. When I first arrived at 7:30 pm the place was full. By 9:20 pm it was empty. I would definitely return.

In Roseburg for a couple days - really glad that I stopped here. Beer: Multiple taps of local beers (Old 99, Two Shy, Backside) that the awesome server was willing to talk about, give tasters, and then pour a pint. Overheard that they are working on another tower - and thus even more tasty beer. Food 1: Scotch egg - huge, tasty, and came with mustard and maple syrup (and both worked). Some nights this would almost be big enough to be a meal, tonight it was a huge, excellent appetizer. Food 2: PB&J Burger with house fries. The burger had a nice layer of tasty bacon, peanut butter, and a tomato jam with a little spice. The fries had a nice level of crispiness and were covered in tasty spices (of which I can remember rosemary). Overall: Great service, Blazers game on the big screen, lots of beers available, and fresh tasty food.

We came here because of the Yelp reviews. Arrived just before 1:00 P.M. We shared a Scotch Egg. My wife had cheese/beer soup and onion rings, I had the flagship O'Toole's burger. The scotch egg was good and interesting. My wife's soup had "broken", it was separated, grainy and not very hot. The onion rings were O.K. My burger was dressed as advertised but was dry and not very lively. I expected more. The service was prompt and friendly.

Best service and food in Roseburg. The warm feeling of the pub and great beers on tap make this a must stop destination.

Heading home from a winter trip from Montana to Napa! First two places we tried to stop on our way were closed! We found this charming pub online with great reviews! So glad we stopped! Charming pub with surprisingly great food! We will make this our road trip stop again! Well worth the side trip whether you are going north or south! Venture off the I-5 a short drive, you will be glad you did!

We had a great dinner here last night for our anniversary. The portions are HUGE and really well priced - especially for Roseburg. We will definitely be back and add it to our restaurant rotation.

When we entered the pub, there was no sign or anyone at the door to greet us. We had to walked up to the bar and asked if we could seat ourselves... the one waitress said she thought there was a waiting list... Yep there was and we put our name on the list. We were seated before the party of 6 that was in the pub before us. We ordered the Fried Zucchini & Mushrooms which was supposed to be "thick-cut, herb-crusted and cooked to perfection and served with creamy ranch dressing". Our dish was over cooked and very dark looking. The mushrooms were tasty after the breading was taken off, yet the zucchini was cooked to mush once the dark breading was removed. Yet the table next to ours looked like they were cooked to perfection... Lightly brown in color. Then we ordered the Cottage Pie (Also referred to as Shepherd's Pie). "A traditional Irish beef pie made with ground beef and topped with whipped golden brown potatoes". We took about 2 bites of it and asked for our check. The whipped potatoes were slightly runny and not made with butter and cream/milk, they tasted like they were several days old and were whipped with water. The beef part of the pie was little bitty pieces and the texture of it was nasty and resembled finely ground hamburger that had been saved for several days... Would not recommend this place to anyone visiting Roseburg

My new favorite place in Roseburg. Peanut Butter and Jelly Burger is so awesome. Scotch Egg is very good too. Service has been stellar. Looking forward already to our next visit already.
(5)Andy K.
The wine was great and ambiance was a++, and the service was great. food not the worst, but not exactly gastro quality. The shepherds pie could be improved with better quality beef, and the Mac and cheese vaguely tasted of Tostitos nacho cheese sauce from a can.
(3)Ashley T.
The closest thing you will find to the Cheers bar in real life! The food, service and atmosphere are exceptional! Not to mention the owners and staff are the bomb diggity! Yay Roseburg!
(5)Nicole S.
Stopped here to stretch my legs and eat some food from my long trip from Southern California. The detour away from I-5 was worth it!! Found cheaper gas around the corner too. I had their spicy buffalo wings and a pint of local beer. The wings weren't really spicy i would say more mild but they had a unique flavor that made up for it. I wanna say a more sweet or vinegar flavor. I loved how all the beers on tap where local Oregon beers and you got to sample each one before ordering. And the beers weren't overly priced, like everything is in California. The atmosphere was nice inside restaurant. Modern look but a classic feel. They were even playing 50s music. The street parking was easy. One thing I absolutely loved was the fact they have a history of roseburg book on each table. Perfect for a traveler like my self whom is curious about the town (keep the brain occupied so I don't get bored with driving). Next time if I make it here I definitely want to try a burger. Everyone had one around me and they wee huge. Could defiantly split between two people!!!
