Although Rose is skeptical of Mexican food in general, (she doesn't like overly spicy fare) we decided to try this place for a weekday lunch earlier this week. When we arrived, business was steady but not crowded. It's a bright, airy and nicely decorated establishment. We were greeted and shown promptly to a booth. Our waiter was a polite, energetic gentleman. We were brought tortilla chips with a medium-hot salsa as well as a bean dip to munch while we read the menu. The $4.95 weekday lunch specials all looked great! They each had an entrée with rice and retried beans. I chose the quesadilla and Rose chose the huevos con chorizo. Both were very good. We definitely will go back!

A must try!!! We have been in Roseburg for 18 yrs and used to go here all the time, but a few years back they fell pretty bad on food and service. We gave Los Dos another try tonight and we were so extremely surprised at how good it was! The service was exceptional and they have gotten their act together again with their menu selection, and great food!!! We highly recommend giving them a try!!! Adrien, the Manager (who was so attentive and friendly) has really done an excellent job of bringing good food back to The Burg and Los Dos Amigos.

My niece and I were driving home to Portland after river rafting in Grants Pass for the day. We were starving and she looked up recommendations on the phone while I drove. We decided to come here. REALLY DISAPPOINTED. The hostess that greeted us was flat out rude. They have a 'Wait to be seated' sign, so we were standing there waiting for her. She asked, "Two?" I replied, "Yes" and must not have heard me, because she rudely, loudly asked the same question again. We were the only 2 standing there. I again said, "Yes". She just said, "Come on" and we followed her to the table. Not one ounce of nicety. No, "Enjoy your meal", nothing. So we get old chips and fresh salsa. Very good salsa, and that is why the 2 stars. The waiter was just ok. Like I said, we were starving, so we dug into the old chips any way. We knew we were going to need more salsa, so we asked for some more. He literally disappeared and we didn't see him again until he brought our plates. He never did bring more salsa. We had to ask another waiter for salsa. The food is way over priced for what you get and how it is prepared. $13 for 2 enchiladas that were literally thrown together with sauce on the top is not a deal. My niece asked for extra rice and no beans and he still brought beans and not very much rice. I ordered the chimichanga and tamale, also for $13. She got a soda that they charge $2.50 for. The glass was full of ice and she never got a refill. The chimichanga was not crunchy, but very chewy. The chicken inside was good. Shredded white meat. The tamale was very poor, with a thick, chewy casing and inside was diced chicken. Didn't really care for it. I never got a water refill. Having worked in the service industry, I am conscious of what servers/restaurant workers go through and put up with. This was the first time I did not leave a tip. I leave tips for good service and good food, not out of pity.

Over priced, horrible service . $1.75 to refill chips & salsa. Constantly has to ask for refills for water/soda. We were a party of 5. Ordered dish with shrimp but no shrimp! They argued we didn't know what we were talking about! Don't go here. Too many other good places in town.

It was pricey for the quality of food. I would eat here again, but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. However, the dessert I had was delicious. Also, the bathrooms are creepy. Accept the fact you might get murdered. I wish I could do half stars; this is a 2.5.

I don't think I have gone here and not enjoyed the visit.. I have had a time or two when they couldn't keep up the water, but that is more me than them. Th e staff are friendly and seem eager to explain any questions on the menu. . The food has always been good..

Bad service. Over priced. Charged 1.75 for tortilla and salsa refills. Shrimp quesadilla had NO shrimp..there are other good to very good options in Roseburg. Mariachi Locos in downtown for instance..

Amazing food. Service was good but it's also a slow evening. Food came fast and was delicious. Deep fried ice cream was very yummy.

In Roseburg, craving some Mexican, ask for recommendations from the locals...Los DOS Amigos they say. We go and well...shoot me in the head, WTF were we thinking??? Preformed taco shells, tasteless dry chili verde and I couldn't even finish the Margarita. Me??? Unheard of. LindySez - NO

Their signature fajita style dish with shrimp and steak rates right up there with the best Mexican dishes we have had! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was clean and quaint. The wait staff were not only quick to greet, seat and serve, they were very outgoing and fun! They tended to every request we had and at times went above and beyond. The Cadillac Margaritas were over the top. My family is very picky when it comes to Mexican food - it is a staple almost every Saturday evening. We aren't your typical fast food - chain restaurant connoisseurs. We've dined in Mexico, Texas, California and have had some great - authentic - meals. This one ranked up there folks! It won't lighten your wallet too much either! P.S. Dont skip dessert!

As compared to the location on Jackson, the food here is somehow ever so slightly less good and the service is much less good. Thus this place is simply average. Although clean and good for groups. -- My standard rating disclaimer: I rate places as compared to other similar places. In other words a hot dog cart or taco stand can easily be five-stars when compared to other carts and stands.

I tried the other Los Dos and found it to be decent. This one was not good. I should have gotten a clue from the empty parking lot. Place was empty - I should have left when I could. I had the chicken chipotle - a few, small, pieces of chicken in a thick tasteless cheese sauce. $16. Will not return - would rather have Taco Bell than this. Service could best be described as listless. Chips aren't even that good.

If you're in Roseburg and it's after 8, you don't have many options for dinner. I suggest coming here. The place was, for some reason, enormous, though totally empty. Waitress was friendly. Food was plentiful, modestly priced, and edible Mexican food. Definitely not for those (unlike me) who are really into spicier stuff. Get a plain old bean burrito and you can't go wrong.

Great food, great service, nice environment. My wife and I enjoyed our meals and a couple grande margaritas after a long drive. Our server was super attentive and friendly, food came quickly, chips/salsa and bean dip were on the table almost as we sat down. We came away happy and satisfied!

Food was serviceable, service was poor....very poor in fact, but prices were okay and taste was decent.

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. Similar to Azteca, Los Dos is a good option (thought one of your only options in Roseburg) for Mexican food. The servers are friendly and they make a mean Roy Rogers. It isn't that spicy, but the burritos are good and the servings are large.

Been coming here for 20 years. Great food for a reasonable price. Best Mexican food in Roseburg.

My mom recommended this place. We were not disappointed! The service was very friendly, attentive and prompt. Our drinks were very reasonably priced and were not watered down at all. The food was not bland. Even the salsa and pico de gallo were spicy! The portions were HUGE. Food was great...and came out very quickly. We would go here again when in town.

over priced food, rude waitress. I will never return with my family. This place needs to lower there prices. Unheard of to be charging so much.

Great food, good staff...could be a little more generous with the amount of chips, however, they do keep them coming. We will be back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
