Food wasn't bad but the gravy on the biscuit and gravy could use some help. Service was great, pleasant young man. Overall the cleanliness was a little off. Wasn't busy but there were tables unwiped which in a seat yourself place is not good. My wife's pancakes actually had what looked like pieces of onion from the grill in them, positive side the cakes were huge.

Average at best food. The service was not that great. I've had worse food and service but this wasn't anything too exciting. After sitting at a table for a while waiting to be acknowledged we were finally greeted. We ordered typical breakfasts including the Nook omelette. This was supposed to be seasoned beef onions and mushrooms. The omelette really had no flavor. The biscuits and gravy were again average at best. I guess we will stick with the spots we know and enjoy.

Slow service and the food was your run of the mill American diner foods but the cut of chicken fried steak I had was very poor quality and I had to spit some of it into my napkin because I was not able to chew it up. That is not what I consider to be an eleven dollar meal.

Good basic American food. Had lunch here once when we were visiting relatives in Redmond. The service(including the owners I think) was phenomenal. Truly, the staff made us feel welcome, special, and comfortable. Typical American fare at really good prices and good place for the kids.

Fantastic! Make sure and get a biscuit.

As were walking around town we came across this place, it is across the street from the Black Bear Diner and we like that place but thought why not try something new and local. Once again we found friendly folks working here. We each had a sandwich Gus with no onion and I with extra onions and boy did I ever get extra onions. aYUP the food was good and the service was very good. Now I really do not know if this was purposeful or just bad, but it was a conversation starter. What I am talking about is the upholstery on the booths. I mean the wrinkles were just too funny and the poor fit a hoot, but pretty it was not. So do not let the bad upholstery keep you from here, or even better yet stop by and take a look and get a decent meal in the process.

Where is our old, great country nook? Miss it.

The Country Nook moved a few blocks South to a new and bigger location. The service is prompt, the food is good for a diner type eatery. The homemade tomato and bacon soup was really tasty. The burgers are average and run around $9.00. Put your cowboy hat and boots on. This is where the locals come for chow. Salute

Best service and wonderful choices. Amber is awesome. Spent the morning there with wonderful friends right after we got married

I had breakfast here several times and really enjoyed it. The wait staff is friendly, the omelletes are delicious. I noticed the way they cook here is not consistent. I came in one day and got eggs benedict, it was wonderful, the next time it wasn't very good. So I switched to Omelettes, admittedly the Omelettes are delicious. When I first started coming in I used to order the gravy, last time I had the gravy it tasted only like burned bacon grease, and sent me right to the bathroom for an unpleasant experience. I haven't returned for a while.

When you enter this establishment, you're greeted with a sign for the outhouses. It's a funny sort of introduction to the western themed country diner. Metal signs don one wall taking you back a few decades to the old food guide pyramid and Gene Autry on the radio. It sets up an old school dining experience for sure. But the food here is good. We made it here on International Bacon Day and the menu provided many options to satisfy our bacon-loving tendencies. We split the bacon waffle and California omelette; both offered the deliciousness a girl needs to celebrate a day for meaty pig fat. The omelette lacked the amount or quality of avocado to deserve the "California" title, but satisfied the taste buds all the same. The coffee was standard diner quality and the service was great - we never had to ask for a warm-up. This is definitely a place for locals but welcomes the out-of-towners who want a warm meal.

I had one if the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was juicy and tender. It came with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles. I chose a side salad and was expecting a small bowl of ice berg lettuce. Was I surprised... It was served on my plate but it was romaine lettuce, tomato, cucumber and lots of dressing. Yummy! The bun was so fresh it literally fell apart as I was eating the sandwich. Also, ordered the children's spaghetti. My niece loved it. It was served in a deep bowl. We ended bringing about a quarter of it home because she could not eat it all. Do not let the outside or inside fool you. It is an older restaurant but maintained. It was clean inside. Great food and friendly service.

We love this place for breakfast I will bring my family from Portland here when they come to visit. Breakfast and lunch are so good here

It was okay. Black bear would be better. Country fried steak had no flavor and gravy was bland. Toast is way thick. Told server I just didn't like the steak she offered no help except remake. At least lower the cost.

Nothing to complain about, only positive experience. We have been here a number of times as the one across the street seems too commercialized. We enjoy the attentive, friendly, helpful employees that work here. If something isn't right they will go out of their way to fix it, quickly!
