Nice, broad tap and bottled beer selection, laid back atmosphere, good food. The menu is limited, which is a good thing. Many restaurants try to do too much and end up with mediocre food. Here since their menu isn't huge they do what they do well. The chicken sandwich with smoked mozzarella, pine nuts, arugula and basil aioli is unique and excellent! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This place rocks. The Sunday Suace is as close to Nana Rose's that we have ever had except when we make it ourselves at home. And she immigrated from the old country with the family recipes and would spend all day making and simmering her sauce. Wow. This place reminds me of the neighborhood bar restuarants in S.F. Great food. Good drink. Very reasonable. Big portions. Any libation that strikes the mood. Friendly and welcoming folks. It ain't fancy but it is a great place

The bartender Andrew was awesome! Wearing a great t-shirt and was happy to explain the "mystery shot" for $2.50. Good service, good food, good prices for the area. Tuesday night atmosphere and music was laid back but not snoozy.

So happy we gave this place a try!! It was within walking distance from where were staying and decided to try it out. We ordered the pork wonton appetizer... So good! And the spicy duck sauce that came with it went perfectly! We also split the sunday sauce meal- pasta with sausage, pulled pork, and meatball. The meatball had a little too much garlic for my liking but other than that it was super delicious!!! And the best part of all was they had two bottles of Dechutes Abyss... One of the best beers I've ever had! The service was great and a neat atmosphere. Check it out!!

We finally found the trifecta in NW...great beer, great food, & great service! The chicken sandwich with smoked Gouda, arugula, & pine nuts is the best I've ever had. Really flavorful & cooked perfectly. The server/bartender was funny, personable, & attentive. And they have Aardvark hot sauce which is always a clear sign of good taste. We had a great time & will definitely be back!

Great service and friendly vibe. Decent prices, good crowd, and they have pudding shots! I'll be back.

Went last Friday night. Service was great, Flank Steak, perfectly cooked and delicious, fries skinny, crispy and mighty tasty. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. She reported it was very good. Decent tap selection and cocktails. Would totally go again.

The Triple Lindy is a great replacement for Caps N Corks and brings a warmth to the neighborhood. Loved the new booths and creative food menu. We came in during the snowpocalypse to enjoy some warmth, food and drinks in a quiet relaxing setting. The cocktail list was decent and appropriately priced at $8. While it was unseasonable the house made sour was top notch. We enjoyed the antipasto plate with really great homemade ricotta, spicy pickled artichokes/olives/carrots and a light mixed greens salad with lemon caper dressing. This would be an ideal Saturday afternoon snack in the summer. The beer list was good, lots of great local standards, but I will say Caps N Corks had more of a variety. Hopefully the 3L will do some tap takeovers and brewery nights as well. Our service was awesome, these guys didn't care that they had to be at work with 6 inches of snow outside.

Love this place! Their food is amazing and at a great prices. Burger is great, always made perfect. The chicken sandwich is my fave. Their basil aioli sauce is mouth watering!! Yum! I eat here all the time!

Highly recommend. Kind of hidden away in NW Portland. Small place, limited but good tap list and great food! Really nice neighborhood joint feeling. Chicken sandwich was amazing. I left a book at the bar when leaving last Saturday night and Seth the bartender followed me out with it. I thanked him, and then promptly set it down on an outdoor table, and left with my friend. Returned the following day, and Seth had it sitting at the bar in front of me before I sat down. A high point of my weekend in Portland. Thanks, and I'll be back next time I'm down there!

Great service! We had a large party and they were super accommodating. Awesome tap list. Burger and fries yummy. Will definitely go again.

Great spot! Casual and welcoming. Delicious dinner- loved the marinated mozzarella and bruschetta . I've found a new local hangout!

Great food. Tasty Beer on tap. Cool vibe. Neat layout. I loved the Sunday Sauce and would highly recommend it to other carnivores. It's a delicious variety of meat, over perfectly cooked noodles and some amazing sauce. Also tried the Arugula Salad with shaved fennel, feta, toasted walnuts- Very tasty. French fries are perfectly cut, not too thick, not too thin, and nice and crispy.

Great little unpretentious spot. Relaxed vibe, good music, tasty food, you can actually talk to the people you're with. The bartender and cook were both friendly and attentive. We'll definitely come again!

Things I love about the Triple Lindy: 1. It's lack of pretension 2. It's small and well curated beer selection 3. It's reasonable priced delicious cocktails 4. It's outside seating, which can't be beat on a sunny day 5. The friendly service 6. Happy hour all day Sunday The Triple Lindy has become my go to bar in the neighborhood. The location has gone through many reiterations in the past few years but this is by far my favorite. I hope they stay.

$2 taco tuesdays, pudding shots (vodka, kahlua, bailey's and chocolate pudding - yum!), mystery shots, a chill atmosphere, and an awesome bartender. Everything you'd want in a neighborhood bar! My friend also told me you can request any type of drink and the bartender will deliver: i.e. something pink and on fire or something that tastes like Hawaii, were 2 that were requested and made to order. How cool is that?!

I can't chance going back. Food:] sat at the bar with a friend, ordered two cocktails and food; I had a burger, my friend had chicken strips. we were disgusted, chicken strips were fried to leather and lacking all taste, burger tasted like it was flash fried, absolutely awful. I suppose if you're drunk enough the food will taste amazing. for real:] a talking heads concert was being played over the speakers and some drunk dude applauded his little heart out at the end of every song, I think that fella needs a Pabst Blue Ribbon limit next time... bad food, bad situation, I am usually really good at making bad choices, this wasn't one of them.

The Team is wonderful here, including the owners... Food is amazing and the beers are cold- can't ask for a better neighborhood bar and grill/restaurant

Good news!! The bar stools have finally been repaired by long tall Seth. They no longer slope precipitously forward. Other than that this is still THE BEST local dive bar located at Lovejoy and NW 17th. And, they are very conveniently located two doors down from Paymaster! Intellectual discussions of important topics are the norm for this haven of humanism--at least until 10 pm or so. I love One other reviewer mentioned the food a while back; don't worry, the food is great and the atmosphere is very friendly. C'mon down!!

All day Happy Hour on Sundays. Enough said.

This review is late, we went back in March. It was great. The food menu was short but the food on it was awesome. We started with the Antipasti. It was very good. Next was the pork wonton with duck sauce...WOW. We shared two entrees, Sunday Sauce and the Steak, both were excellent. The beer selection was great. The didn't have any desserts yet, but thought they would soon.

Don't forget to try the food, you won't regret it. A limited menu of carefully crafted delicious options, exactly how it should be. A huge step above your run of the mill bar food. This is a place with a small staff so be patient, sit back and enjoy yourself. This is a bar to go to if you want to hangout and relax, going here in a rush is not ideal and you're setting yourself up for disappointment and possible aggrivation.

I quite liked this place in it's previous incarnation, when it was also sort of a bottle shop. There really isn't much new about the place, only it doesn't have anything I liked about it before. My group wanted to sit outside, where we had to grab our own chairs. We sort of had a server, but often went inside to order. There are only a few taps, and they didn't really seem interested in selling us anything to eat (though we did eventually ask them for menus). Just an underwhelming experience. Not sure what the draw would be here, especially with the Paymaster just down the block.

This is the former location of CapnCorks. The new owners are from Pause in N.Portland. I was happy to try under the new ownership. Andrew (a friendly, knowledgeable bartender from the Mocks Crest Tavern) greeted me. Super excited to see a familiar face. I bellyed up to the bar, where they offered a well-rounded tap selection and some cocktails. Their beer selection is solid, but I am sure they will rotate. I had the Fort George Vortex IPA. Very chic, warm, a high-er end feel inside. Food prices fom $4 - 13. They offer specials menu 5p-10p and then 10p on. They open at 3pm Tried a soup of the day-Roasted Chicken----Very Good. Meaty, A spice I wasn't expecting but liked. The menu was not typical, but llooked very good, and if you like the food at Pause, I am certain they won't disappoint. They had a tempting bottle of 'VIDA' on the shelf, it's a Mezcal that has yet to be open. The name, Triple Lindy, came from a Dive the Rodney Dangerfield did in the movie Back to School.

Did you see the other review of the Sunday Sauce? It wasn't perfect, but I loved it. I want it now and I'm really full from dinner. The owners told me about a beer that they described perfectly (I can't remember the name but it's an IPA from Enterprise, OR) and they talked up their burger. I've had the Pause burger and I bet this one will be just as good. I've only been once so far, but I know I'll be back.

I predict The Triple Lindy will soon become a neighborhood gem, just like Pause in NoPo. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, with a super friendly staff. You could almost call it a bar, but the food is too good! It's the perfect spot to stop in for dinner and drinks when you're downtown. I had the flank steak and shared the bruschetta, both great dishes. The flank steak was perfectly cooked, with an excellent marinade. As another reviewer has already mentioned, the fries were perfectly cut and crispy. I look forward to going back to try some of the other dishes.
