Ugh, why did I have to discover this place!!!? I love self serve froyo and this place is all that I dream of and more! There are like 30 different yogurt flavors and then toppins and sauces and more galore. The shop itself is very inviting and clean and the service is very welcoming and nice. Though my opening statement would suggest otherwise, I am BEYOND happy that this place is within walking distance to work!

Indulgent flavored which challenge your concept of yogurt - they have toppings of all kinds, but it is valued by weight not by cup so be careful not to run up a $12 bill on a regular sized cup!

Good froyo place in downtown PDX near PSU. Pretty standard ice cream flavors and toppings. Nothing out of the ordinary. Freindly service as well.

It was unusually warm this past week in PDX, which is perfect weather for frozen yogurt. Atmosphere- reminds me of a kid's romper room- full of bright colors and assorted sweets and treats to overwhelm the eye and palate. Environment is very clean. Service: Good. No complaints here. Food: Froyo is charged by weight here rather than size, which is great. I ended up getting half pomegranate/half sweet cream topped with mochi and an assortment of boba bubbles. Aside from pop rocks, boba bubbles are probably one of the most fun things to eat, as they burst with fruit juice in your mouth. The experience greatly humoured me...and I'd eat a whole bowlful of boba if I could. One thing that did disturb me though, is that Tartberry offers tater tots as toppings. I will never be able to process that in my head...or stomach.

I love Tartberry. I was looking for a building that's part of the PSU campus and to my surprise, I stumbled upon Tartberry Too! This one is smaller than the original location, but the quality of froyo is the same. Similar set-up, they have little pieces of paper where you can write share a positive message, story, drawing, etc. If this place doesn't make you smile, I'm not sure what will.

Place sucks. Over decorated, half of their frozen yogurt machines were not working. Employee tried to steer us toward ice cream but I've had cool moon ice cream and will never settle for anything less. Anyhow. I digress: the small amount of fro yo I did select tasted like milk that had been poured in a glass and left overnight in a freezer. The place was obnoxious, bad and expensive.

Very conveniently located as I am a PSU student. Perfect one stop treat shop on campus! Not only do they have an assortment of frozen yogurt flavors including some tasty seasonal ones, they also have ice cream available that is also paid by the weight. They offer non-dairy, vegan, gluten free, sugar free, low fat varieties that are clearly labeled. They have a huge assortment of toppings and I do love the warm toppings (not so much topping since I like to place them under my fro-yo) such as the brownies or pastries. What made this place stand out is that they offer little dividers that can separate your flavors or help you get that sharing sensation even if you don't want the same as what your friend is eating. I haven't seen that in any other froyo places yet except for the other tartberry of course. That is just so absolutely helpful since I am OCD about flavors mixing, but also would like to try multiple flavors in one sitting. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The décor/music/ambiance is totally my style, but then again I love bright colors and upbeat music. Very nice clean feel to it as well.

Holyshit the decorations and colors of this place make me want to hurl and kick children. I've been twice, both times for the hard ice cream which in my opinion is underrated there. I had a small green tea cone with sprinkles both times. Mixed service though, and cost was over a dollar different despite getting the exact same thing (and size) twice.

Plain Tart Yogurt tasted like it had gone bad (and I eat a lot of plain yogurt). We told the employee who then told us that it tasted fine and wouldn't give us a refund. We paid around $9 for two portions of frozen yogurt that we had to throw away. The employee seemed indifferent, and didn't even offer for us to try a different flavor.

If you tend to get a little topping-heavy with your froyo, you will love this place. If you're one to enjoy the different flavors of froyo they have to offer, Tartberry probably isn't your top choice- especially if youre a vegan. There was only 1 non-dairy option, and it didn't look too good :/ But holy smokes! So many different topping options! I thought I had been to all of them until a turned around to see even more! I love that they have different recipe ideas posted everywhere, but I'm too lazy and I'd rather just throw on the topping that I think look good :D

Lots of flavors. Obscene amount of toppings. Creative environment. Clean. I'm a fan.

What a great place for a light sweet treat. The toppings are deliciously endless and the yogurt creamy and smooth. My only con here is that they have a low selection of flavors. They post on a lot of the nonfunctioning machines: "coming soon". Uhh...when? Lol... Outside of that, they're a great, fun, and clean place to grab a quick snack on a hot day.

I think that Tartberry is more or less what you would expect out of a self service FroYo joint. A handful of positives and a handful of negatives that work out to be about 4-stars. Positives: -Good selection of flavors. I also appreciate that they give creative names to their swirl flavors. -Friendly service. -Lots of toppings. Negatives: -Seemed like some toppings had been on the shelf a bit too long. I'm a Mochi maniac, and ALWAYS put mochi on my fro-yo. I loved that they had 4 different varieties of mochi, but it was stale. I like my mochi like I like my kittens: soft and fluffy. -Price seems a bit high, but ultimately not much worse than any other froyo. Overall, pretty good. I'm a fan.

The owner is such a sweetheart I love supporting Tartberry! Frozen yogurt for the win

FROYO! How I heart thee. This place is screaming with interesting decor, not quite sure where to look but the colorful artwork definitely makes you feel like you're in Portland. The varieties of different flavored froyo is great, but I found myself sticking to the original tart as I always do. I know, I'm a boring froyo'er. Lots of different toppings to add to the mix, and they even had a hot topping section! I thought that was pretty fantastic, warm brownies- cakes- lil pastries- I didn't indulge in one but it was very tempting indeed. Girl who was working was super friendly and nice, always a plus when you get great customer service. Overall, I'm happy to find a froyo place in the downtown area that is yummy. I can't say that it's yogurtland or yocream yummy, but those are just high expectations. Also- the froyo was a bit runny but it was closer to closing time. Did anyone else notice that the prices were a wee bit higher than most? Regardless I'll be back for more. Until next time tartberry, too.

This place has the BEST frozen yogurt of all time. I never get toppings because the toppings would only get in the way.

SO MANY TOPPINGS!! This place is close to my work, so it is super easy to take a 10 minute afternoon break and pop over for a treat. My previous favorite place was Peach Wave at Bridgeport, but I am quickly changing my mind. One thing that I think is unique to this place is that you can get a bag and just buy toppings, essentially getting a bag of candy if you don't feel like froyo. They also have chocolate covered gummy bears, which are hard to find elsewhere.

Let me first start by saying that I am a BIG fan of the original TartBerry, located in the heart of Downtown Portland. I came here expecting to discover the quaint little sister, or perhaps close cousin of the real TartBerry. And while the cheerful and bubbly ambiance of TartBerry Too was in line with the real location, it would be unfair and untrue to say that these locations bear any other similarities. There did appear to be a similar flavor selection at TartBerry Too, except for one glaring difference--the Maple Bacon Doughnut Flavor (non-fat). As a vegetarian and connoisseur of good taste, I was saddened that TartBerry would stoop to the level of Bacon Fad. Even though it promised to be vegetarian, I could not even bring myself to try a sample cup's worth. And on top of that, I was completely and utterly disappointed by the quality of their frozen yogurt. The Original Tart (non-fat, and also my standard go-to flavor) tasted horrible - like an artificial alcohol flavor. Ultimately I decided to go with Reese's Peanut Butter (low fat), Fatted Cow Sweet Cream (fat content =???) and Summer Huckleberry (non-fat). A pretty simple combination, I thought I would be playing it safe, however, I WAS WRONG. The Reese's Peanut Butter (low fat) was not worth any of its extra calories - it tasted absolutely sour. The employee of the store, a friendly young girl (perhaps the only redeeming quality of this location?!), promised to notify the owner of TartBerry because she herself did not know what to do in this sort of situation, including how to operate the yogurt machinery. She did allow me to sprinkle some ground cinnamon onto my Peanut Butter Filth, which was very nice, considering I had already paid for my yogurt and toppings (a single Nilla Wafer and a single Circus Animal Cookie - White). All in all, I would say that I will probably never return to this location, unless perhaps I am dining at the Chipotle or Pho Restaurant down the street.

Sometimes I think more is more! I can mix and match and make whatever I want. And then I do, and it's terrible, then I'm sad because I want to eat what I made and it's the ultimate culinary failure. In comes the staff at Tartberry Too. After trying to fix my craptastic creation, they allowed me to make the most of a bad sitch and start over. Heavens to Mergatroid, it's edible again! Remember, KISS.....Keep It Simple...Stoop..that's mean. Stud...senor....senior. There are tremendous endless combinations that you can craft and create. Take time to scope out the scene and in the words of the great RuPaul...Don't phuck it up!

Lots of flavors of fro-yo, especially for the non-tart inclined, and more toppings than I've ever seen in a fro-yo shop. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, samples were offered. My only grip is that this place is expensive by the oz, I barely got 2 flavors with 2 light toppings and it was $5.

It's always so fun to go out and get frozen yogurt. Until you realize that you are at a place with four flavors and eight toppings. Well next time just go to Tartberry. This is the best fro-yo spot I have ever been to.....EVER. They have about 5 machines, with two flavors each, and a swirl option for whatever two flavors are on that machine ...brilliant! Friendly staff, well stocked toppings, and clean, bright, cheery environment. Not sure what the design theme exactly is, but who cares. It is really presh that they have little post it notes and pens on all the tables for you to leave notes on the walls.

Frozen yogurt: They serve YoCream (of course, they are Portland-based!) and have plenty of flavors to choose from (either 8 or 10 at any given time, cannot recall which). Toppings: Gah! SO MANY TOPPINGS. I was turned on to Coconut M&M's here and I'm in love. Fruit, candy, syrups, cookies, wafers, waffles, etc. You want to put it on your froyo? They probably have it. Price: I believe I noticed a per ounce price of $.44 (or was it $.46...?) Either way, comparable to any other froyo shop in town. Staff: Super nice and enthusiastic! They'll take your picture (with your permission, of course) with you froyo creation for their Facebook page. Welcome you the second you walk into the store, offer a sample cup, and thank you when you leave. Great service. Atmosphere: This place (and the 9th Ave location) are bright, cheery, and just plain HAPPY. Not sure what the theme is, but I am loving it. Also, they provide small slips of paper for customers to doodle on and post around the shop. Overall: I love this place. Great for a pick-me-up treat between classes or a late-night snack.

I love this place! You know what you're getting when it comes to frozen yogurt, but I gave this place five stars because of the large variety of toppings and the always friendly staff. The decor is quirky and colorful and adds to the charm. My favorite froyo in Portland!
