About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Dude. This Taco Bell is the best Taco Bell in the world, including the original Taco Bell which overlooks the Pacific Ocean in Pacifica, CA. It's also better than the Inwood Rd Taco Bell in Dallas, TX, which was my very first Taco Bell experience. The food here is rad, I love the people who take my order in the drive through- they ask gently and never pressure me. They are patient saints. Also, I watched a guy multitasking talking to me about sauce and also taking an order from a yelling guy in the drive through at the same time- that takes skill that I literally do not have. I was amazed. They never judge us when we are drunk, they laugh at our jokes, I don't feel bad about ordering a zillion lbs of food. My roommates love Taco Bell so much that we have a picture of Taco Bell taped to our fridge. This Taco Bell, the pinnacle of all fast food franchises, has the nicest staff. They should work at the White House or something. They deserve love and flowers and job satisfaction.

I will give this Taco Bell 5 stars any day ! They always are consistent, always nice, food is always hot and best of all, never a wrong order. It's always a plus when you go to a Taco Bell and they get your order right. The line always moves quick also, maybe one time out of the 56 times I've been to this location was the line slow. There's a gentleman that works at night who is always really nice and super patient, you think after going here for so long and mainly at night for 4th mean, I'd know his name. Foods always fresh, never soggy or not enough red sauce. I literally get the same thing every time and it's delicious with lots of extra red sauce, every time. Consistency is key. This locations got it

Yesterday was my wife and I's 2nd wedding anniversary and wanted to go get some authentic unauthentic Mexican cuisine. My friend recommended taco bell, so I said "why not." We got there at around 6pm and had to wait a measly 2min to order, I ordered the crunch wrap supreme, a 7-layer burrito, and the cheese potato thing burrito. THEY WERE DELICIOUS! My tongue still quivers with delight just thinking about such beauty! My wife and I were actually going through a rough patch, but I can say with 100% certainty that Taco Bell has glued us back together with their cheese sauce. Some say when they thing about their wedding they can still hear the bells, well I hear Taco Bell.

I'm going to go ahead and give this location 5 stars for two reasons: I've been coming here (off and on) since I was in high school (over 10 years) and they've never messed up my order! TB is TB (not to be mistaken for tuberculosis lol) but you get what you get and when you're under the influence This food is heavenly!!! Always hot, always consistent and that's the most important thing to me, CONSISTENCY!!! At like 2am we're feeling ourselves and come through here to satisfy a craving! The drive thru guy was nice and patient (and we were difficult lol) and even with a car full of people our order was correct!! Some had nacho bell grandes, others chicken chalupas and Mexican pizzas but everything hit the spot for quick and satisfying! If you have a late night craving and you're somewhere nearby then you might have a nice and simple fast food experience too!!! I don't have many pictures because I ate while driving, but this review tells it all! Happy Yelping...

I love this taco bell! The people who work there are so friendly and accomodating. Certain Taco Bells (I call them the gourmet taco bells) have better tasting food and this is one of them. I always order my food meatless and no dairy so there is a lot of substitutions and they always get my order right! And they never skimp me on the sauce. I wish I could eat it every day. I love you taco bell MLK!

Not only is this fantastic place the closest fast food to my house, I don't have to make anything but right turns to get my late night snack on.
(5)Max D.
I love this Taco Bell it's the best and thy server the best tacos. THE WORLD. Please go here when you need tacos and are TOO DRUNK TO FUCK.
(5)Braeden H.
Probably the most friendly Taco Bell that I have ever been to! Sharon helped us out at the register and was very nice! She was very personable and funny! Thanks Sharon!

This place has good food and service when they get it right, and they have a great deal to learn about how to make it right when they get it wrong. I ordered a 12 pack of soft taco supreme without tomatoes and they put tomatoes on all of them, when I called the manager told me to bring the food back when I told him I didn't have time he argued that he made the order right and told me I needed to freeze the food and bring it back with the receipt. Frustrating!!!

"Once it hits your lips, it tastes so good!". Yep. Mrs. K. and I are in PDX tonight so we can fly out tomorrow morning to MSP. We have stopped in to Andina for happy hour, dropped by Olive or Twist to see Sam and have a couple drinks, stopped by the airport to get Cordelia K. (the Pekingese) checked in for the flight tomorrow morning. We're on our way back to NoPo to crash at a friend's for the night before the really-f'in-early wake-up call in the morning for our 0700 flight -no, I'm not joking). So you're between PDX and NoPo and you need some mildly-buzzed food, what are you going to do? That's right - Taco Bell on NE MLK, bitches. First of all, I don't really understand how they can have our (not huge) order ready for us in the time it takes us to get from the order/menu board to the window (about 25 feet and 10 seconds). But I supposE ours is not to wonder why... The food itself was particularly good for a Taco Hell location. The 7 layer burrito was oh so good and the nachos bell grande (sin carne) was top notch. I used allthe (6) Fire sauces and 1 Hot sauce they gave me and it was about perfect for mytwo dishes (and I use that word loosely). Mrs. K. Enjoyed her hard-shell taco, so all was right with the world. Now if only I could ensure that my airplane trip (with previously mentioned Pekingese dog and 25 month old niece) would go as well as my delicious foray into MLK Blvd. Taco Bell, I'd be pretty stoked. Stay tuned.

So Bad It's Good, Part 749: Me: Mexican pizza? Spicy chicken crunchwrap supreme? Angel: Well, the crunchwrap is cheaper. And there's potentially more food in the wrap than there is in the pizza. Devil: Or Mexican pizza AND spicy chicken crunchwrap supreme and less than $5 spent? Me: Sure! How can that be wrong? TWO HOURS LATER Me: Urghhhhhhhh. Pain. Angel: Told you so. Devil: Mwahahaha. T-Hell strikes again! Me: Shut up. Both of you.
