Went here and was very disappointed. Ordered spring rolls, california roll and unagi roll. Also boba tea. The california roll and tea were okay, but the spring rolls and unagi roll were very obviously not fresh. They didnt even "cook" the spring rolls, they came out of the microwave. Too bad the food isnt more appetizing because it isnt that expensive and is close to where I live. Probably wont return.

Been to many Sushi places in Eugene, Vancouver and Portland and this is a great place to grab some Sushi on the run or stay and eat! Location makes it perfect for us PSU students

I'm a fan of Sinju and Shigezo but the value here is outstanding with great service! I am totally addicted to the fine flavors of the salmon and avocado roll.

Great value and fresh ingredients!!

The way you can order sushi is pretty cool- individually by rolls, and they have a neat happy hour. You write your order out on the menu, which seems to be confusing for the waiter(s), but it's nice to have that option. However, nothing here makes sense. The spring rolls were okay at best, served with a very sugary sweet and sour sauce. I wanted sweet chili, but when I asked I was brought spicy orange weird stuff, that I ignored, unfortunately it was on my sushi later. The miso soup has chicken in it, and is pretty bland... The sushi rolls were a decent size. The spicy sauce was terrible tasting, though, I've never had anything like it. I ate one of my spicy tuna rolls and looked down at the other to notice that the tuna I was served (covered up by the orange spicy icky sauce) was grey. Raw tuna should not be grey. My friend noticed the same thing. We were pretty horrified and left without finishing the rest of our really mediocre sushi. Awkward but friendly service. Awkward and small place, but it looks a lot nicer than what it looked like when Pudding on the Rice owned the place. Seriously though, go to Blue Fin. Blue Fin has normal colored, fresh fish, and better quality. If this place can survive for 6 months, I would consider trying it again. Just glad I didn't get sick. I've never been that paranoid with sushi...

Decent little lunch place. It's perfect for a weekday lunch. Great prices. Don't get the cheapest saki, though. It bordered on rubbing alcohol.

While the service was friendly, the sushi was on par with store bought pre-made sushi. I was quite surprised at how bland it was actually. Everything tasted the same, the flavor profiles were non complimentary and boring. The ingredients did not taste fresh and techniques weren't executed correctly as well. I'm bummed because I wanted to like the place! It's pretty cute but...No! I would recommend Mio Sushi instead.

I realize its their opening day, but if you drop a plate, don't ask me if I still want what's on it. You can forgive the incredibly slow service because the place is new. The food is okay. They make it fresh if you dine in, and they have a pretty big to-go selection. The cream cheese salmon rolls were pretty good, but the grilled chicken rolls left a little something to be desired. I could probably have bathed in the amount of Miso soup they brought out, but with the quality only being so-so (get it!?), I didn't feel the need to finish. Their staff hasn't quite worked out how customers fill out the menu, which is problematic when ordering on of the combos. When we were cashing out, they initially charged us twice as much, and it was only after explaining how we filled out the menu did they actually understand and reduce the bill down to it's proper amount. It was really difficult to get anything at first, but then we somehow ended up with four plates of wasabi and a literal vat of miso soup. Not sure if I'll come back. Maybe I'll let them work out some of the kinks and then try again. My advice for anyone interested is to stop in, order to-go, and then eat out in the Park Blocks. You'll probably get your food much faster, and the Park Blocks makes for a much nicer atmosphere to enjoy some food than the awkwardly furnished interior of Sushi Park.

Hmm, at least there is a sushi place other than Blue Fin However I still rather go to Blue Fin... Or at least pay a little more at Shigezo. It's a nice place, and good thing it took over pudding on rice because they bring a nicer atmosphere into their little space. The sushi servings are a little small for what your going to be paying, and their quality is just a little bit above average. I heard that they tried to added some music and photos on their screens so might come back and check it out again though.

It tastes like these people know what they're doing. Spicy tuna hand roll was pristine and their presentation pleases the eye.

I go here once in a while whenever I am on campus and have a craving for sushi. Sushi is good for the price they sell it at, however I would recommend going during happy hour.

I want Sushi Park to succeed, and not just because I live two blocks away... The food is good and the service tries pretty hard (still need to work out the kinks). The sushi menu is a little smaller than you would see in some places, i think this is a good thing as it allows them to focus more. Some of the specialty rolls wander a bit too much into a western palette for my taste (not a fan of cream cheese in my sushi, although I know it's fairly common), but overall its very good. It's not a place to take a first date, but someone you've been with for a while, or by yourself!

Sushi Park is pretty much the only sushi I'm eating these days, because it nails the sweet spot between price and quality: way better AND less expensive than Safeway. The offerings are a little limited, which Probably helps keep it affordable. No unagi or ika, but there are two fishless rolls (inari and tamago) so I can bring my fraidy cat friends. The udon noodle soups are good too, and big - I get about one and a half meals from the the tofu and vegetable udon dish. And don't forget about the ice cream mochi!

I was disappointed to see such low ratings so far for this newer establishment, and so I felt compelled to write a positive review based on my experience here this past Tuesday afternoon (7/2). We were sitting in the park across the street when we noticed this place during our stay in Portland, and since I am a huge sushi fan, it was an obvious choice for lunch when we started getting hungry. It is nice and clean inside (makes sense since we learned it just opened recently) and the prices are VERY inexpensive! In my opinion, the fish tasted fresh and the quality did not suffer with the low prices. I appreciated that they offered options for 4 pieces of a sushi roll as opposed to having to order an 8-piece (or more) roll - It allows you to be able to try more and you don't have to stuff yourself. We ended up sharing 2 rolls (8 pieces total) and 2 nigiri (2 pieces total). Again, we were satisfied with our meal (it was a smaller one because we wanted to snack throughout the afternoon) and I would recommend others in the area try it out!

Great location in downtown and the parking very available. Cozy but comfortable. The service was very great, wasn't bombarded every few seconds with questions or concerns. The quality of the food was by far more expensive than the pricing.

I came here when it was first open last year and wasn't too impressed (I went twice). The rolls weren't made very well and they were tiny. I recently went back and have been back over 4 times for lunch in a couple weeks...the daily sushi special is great. Rolls are bigger and you get bang for your buck. The fish is fresh and tastes great...will keep going back; convenient, quick, and tasty!

Best sushi I've ever had and wonderful customer service. Awesome lunch specials. You can normally get 8-10 pieces of sushi and miso soup for less than 5.00 I go there every Monday. Its my new favorite place to go to! So inexpensive you can try new stuff without feeling guilty if you don't like it.... HUGE plus! -SVJ

I like this place. The family that owns it is so awesome. I usually order the lunch special, which is soup and salad and 2 rolls. My favorite roll is the crunchy spicy salmon. Sushi can be hit or miss, and I think sushi park usually hits it right on the mark.

This is the worst sushi restaurant I have ever been to. Their roles had more rice in them than anything else. The staff was not coordinated at all. They would either completely ignore you or sit there and hoover. I can't believe they are still in business.

I really like this place and have recommended it to several of my coworkers. I eat here 1-2 times a week for lunch. I work several blocks away and have 3 other sushi establishments near me (one of which is in my building) and yet I still choose to walk to Sushi Park for lunch. I stumbled on them taking a stroll through the area to find a different place for lunch and made a mental note to stop in sometime, as I really love sushi. One dish I particularly love is Unagi Don Buri. It can be difficult to find the eel ricebowl and even when I do finding one that isn't going to cost me $15-20 is usually the problem. Sushi Park had me hooked once I saw that I could get Unagidon with Miso for less than $10! The price to quality ratio at Sushi Park is what makes them fantastic. There are lots of sushi places in the area of varying prices and qualities but Sushi Park is the only place where I can get decently priced sushi that is still fresh and hasn't been sitting on a carousel for over an hour during lunch time. I've eaten in once, but typically order online and pick up my food to go (which I love!). Online ordering is a godsend and wish more places would do this. There's no additional charge and no minimums (I believe). If you can get past the awkward repurposed space they're using dining in wasn't a horrible experience. The staff is very friendly and because they're not often busy it was quick. This is my new favorite go-to spot for lunch and I would definitely recommend them to others looking for good quality, cheap, quick sushi in the area.

Sushi is very good, which is surprising for the extremely affordable prices of the rolls. If you're guilty pleasure is to stuff your face with sushi, but have the budget of a student, this is a great great place. Only knock in the experience was the toilet was covered in pee... It seemed unfair because I know that there is a large vagrant contingency that keeps places like this on their toes. Plus the bathroom was pretty nice besides the mess... However, those sorts of sights are not what you want imprinted right before eating raw fish.

It's a OK place when one is in a rush to do assignment at school and have no time to trek down to Shigezo. Barely half dozen customers Monday evening. Somewhat of a gloomy atmosphere, voices low murmuring and off tempo music for a sushi place. Ordered deluxe set for miso and sushi platter for $8, which is a decent value. It filled my stomach and that was the function. I think Blue Fin was better quality and faster than eating here. No $1 extra charge just for spicy sauce. $3.50 for miso seems high too. Too much of western flavors for my rate.

I work right near Sushi Park, but never stopped in before today. The bulk of the menu consists of the rolls and nigiri you'd typically find at dime-a-dozen sushi places. As a vegetarian, I went for standard veg uramaki options-- cucumber/avocado, mixed vegetable. I know sushi masters train for years and I don't want to knock that, but given the middle-of-the-road sushi joints I've eaten at, and without the temperamental ingredient of raw fish, I find that it all pretty much tastes the same to me regardless of where I get it. And that's fine, I like it and appreciate the consistency. So these were fine tasting. I also tried the vegetarian udon. There's nothing to recommend this. The broth is watery, the store-bought noodles are overly firm, the boiled cabbage is... kinda gross. If you stop in for sushi you might want to steer clear of the udon. Though, of course, just as there is a place in the world for restaurants like Sushi Park, there is a place for this udon. This is not a destination restaurant, but if you work in the area and want some vinegared rice, by all means stop in.
