I could not be happier with the service we got from Portland Catering Company. Our business hosted a catered lunch for our 70+ employees, and we got an assortment of different items delivered to us. My personal favorites were the beef lasagna (perfect mix of cheesy and meaty) and the chicken broccoli with penne (very tender chicken)... and my coworkers loved the apple cranberry chicken and baked ravioli. Yum! Chelsea was responsive by both phone and e-mail as we planned our event and worked to fit it in on short notice during the busy holiday season -- I imagine this is a peak time for caterers as they serve businesses like us, hosting events for the holidays. At one point, we were concerned that Portland Catering Company might not be able to squeeze us in, but Chelsea assured us that, if that was the case, she could recommend a few other caterers in a similar price range with availability for our desired date. Overall, we could not be happier with the quality and variety of the food, portions for the price and excellent service received from Portland Catering Company. We will definitely use them for our next event!

This is a belated review; we used this company in late September for a small event at our home. I had not used a catering service for two decades, so my initial questions were somewhat naive, and my expectations and budget needed tweaking several times leading up to the event a small wine/food affair for 18 guests. Portland Catering Company provided tables and chairs, linens, wine glasses and limited food. We provided some food, wines and other items. Chelsea proved to be patient, informative and helpful. The hors d'oeuvres (parmesan crisps) and antipasto with bread were exceptional, in proper quantities and delicious. The tables were delivered and taken away as scheduled by friendly, helpful staff. We liked the flexibility that was offered. This was not a fully catered event, of course; our budget would not allow that. But that wasn't an issue with Chelsea. Unquestionably, we recommend this catering company.

I hired Portland Catering Company to provide bar service for a company open house I was throwing - in hindsight I should have asked them to do the food as well. Right from the beginning Katie was outstanding and professional. When Katie and Chelsea showed up for the event, they were ON TIME and so helpful. The bar looked swanky and impressive, and their choices for wine and beer were perfect. The company I hired to bring in the food was horribly late and disastrously unprepared when the food actually was delivered. Katie and Chelsea from Portland Catering Company jumped in and helped me make the food look presentable for the guests that were beginning to arrive. And then throughout the evening they were stellar - not just excellent customer service, but a fantastic representation of my company (which was unexpected but wonderfully welcomed). I will be a repeat customer, and I will sing the praises of Portland Catering Company to anyone who cares to listen. Thank you for making the event so wonderful.

I work at a school and I decided to spring for lunch for my team using a recent Groupon for 5 delivered lunches. In the past, I have used Ingallina's and because Portland Catering Co's menu looked pretty similar I thought I would give them a try. The good stuff: The phone customer service was very friendly. The food was delivered on time. The cookies were great. What could be better: In general, the food was ok. It wasn't great, it didn't seriously disappoint. One meal was specifically requested to be "onion free" and while the sandwich and cookie were onion free, my coworker began eating the pasta salad that was included in her box and realized it had onions in it. Good thing her allergy wasn't life threatening! Another meal was requested to be "dairy free" but they still added a cookie in that person's box that said "has dairy." Ok, I get it - they didn't have a replacement, but the guy was like, "Awesome! thanks for reminding me I can't eat this." If I was going to have lunch catered again, sans-Groupon, I would definitely go back to Ingallina's because they also include a bottle of water, fruit salad, and a mint for the same price. If I had paid full price for PCC's delivery, I would have been disappointed for sure.

We are so happy we went with Portland Catering Company! The food was excellent and all of the servers (including the bartender) were friendly and professional. The bartender in particular made sure we (the bride and groom) were always taken care of. We would highly recommend them!

Have you ever contacted caterers? I hadn't before, but I assumed they'd be happy to get business. So when the time came to find a caterer for an event i started contacting a few with inquiries. Out of the 5 I messaged, 2 didn't even reply back. Then of the other 3, two were very limited on what they would do for me and frankly i though very high priced. But the ONE that came through and made me so happy was Portland Catering Company. I spoke with the owner Eric. He was friendly and helpful. He told me what he could do for me based on my budget. He was more than happy to make substitutions and accommodate my requests. I've never experienced such flexibility and friendliness like he gave me. The food was absolutely the best. They served it, cleaned up, provided everything I needed and made my life so much more easy. Thank you Eric at Portland Catering Company. You are on the top of my list! I always thought caterers were just for weddings and huge events but now I know that they will also cater to small events and special occasions. Very Cool!
